Coming home after talking with Xanatos, made me filled with fear that the possibility that he could be right. "No, he can't be right." I thought to myself as walked home. As I came in Mom was working at the stove.

"Welcome home Evie," She announced. "I'm making meatballs and noodles."

"Nice Mom," I replied taking a breath. "It smells delicious."

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"Nothing," I muttered walking past her into my room where I changed into comfy clothes. Cagney walked into the room and offered a meow in greeting, as I came out Mom was waiting for me.

"What is wrong?" She asked. "Don't tell me it's nothing I know it's something."

Taking a breath before talking.

"I got called into Mother Superior office," I muttered. "I didn't do anything stupid but rather Xanatos was there and told me that he thinks I'm his daughter."

"WHAT!" She yelled.

"That's why I didn't want to tell you because I knew that you would freak out," I muttered.

"How dare he?" She growled, before looking at me, she pulled me into a tight hug. "I'm sorry that this is happening."

"I told him he can't do anything unless he gets a court order," I replied.

"That's my girl," She added with a smirk and kissed my forehead. "We will have to fight it and we will win."

"Thanks, Mom," I muttered.

"Come on and let's get food in you." She said.

Sitting down and devoured the delicious food.

"I don't think we should tell Goliath and the Guys," I muttered. "I don't know how they will react and not sure what they would do to him."

"I agree," he replied.

Heading out for another school day with a Lincoln town car waiting with a slightly smiling James.

"Get in Evie," Hanna called from the window.

"So you are finally talking to me again?" I asked.

"Look I'm sorry for being a butt please accept my deepest apologies for it." She said

"I'll accept it," I said as James's open the door and let me slide in. "Please, can we not fight again?"

"I'll try but no promise," Hanna added with a slight smirk.

We pulled up and James let us out. Heading in I could feel something in the air, walking past Mother superior's office to see Mr. Bennett was there meaning that Xanatos was here. A sickness feeling that Xanatos might have gotten his court order.

As James let me out there was a chill in the air, pulling my blazer closer to offer some warmth. A small smile came across my face, I love the chill in the air. It meant that the fall was coming which mean Thanksgiving, and Christmas. As well as shorter days and longer nights mean more time to hang with the Guys. Coming inside to see Mom was waiting for me.

"Did he show up at the school again?" She asked.

"I saw his buddy Owen, but I didn't see him or get called into mother superior," I replied.

"Good," She replied. "After dinner, I figure we could go and see the guys."

"Awesome," I added. "Let me change."

Pushing past her and came to a stop in my room. I knew that I would need to change my bedding, and wardrobe to my winter. Throwing on a pair of jeans and a long shelve red top. Pulling on my converses and coming back out to see Mom was placing pasta on the table. Eating quickly and headed over to the police station and up to the clock tower. They were already up. Broadway was cooking, while Brooklyn and Lexington were somewhere. Bronx came running to greet us. Barking and jumping up at us.

"Hey Bronx," I announced. The guys looked up to see us. "Morning guys!"

"Hi, Elisa, and Evie," Broadway said with a smile as he was working on his food.

Hudson and Goliath came in, with Hudson seemed to be worlds away. While Goliath seemed concern.

"Hello, Lass," Hudson added.

"You okay Hudson?" I asked. "You seem worlds away."

I offered a slight smile.

"Just remembering the past" He replied before looking back at me. "Don't worry about it Lass, you seem to be in a fog yourself Lass are you alright?"

"It's…nothing," I said.

While he didn't believe so. "Lass you can tell us we will not judge." He replied.

Taking a deep breath. "Long story short Xanatos is trying to prove that I'm his daughter," I muttered.

Goliath roared.

"What?" He demanded.

"This is why I didn't what to say anything because I didn't know how you guys i.e. Goliath would act or do," I muttered.

"Why would he do this?" Lexington asked coming to my side.

"It's all with power for him," I muttered. "He wants to have some control over you guys and he figures he can use me as a power chip and to get back at mom I guess."

Goliath growled before turning and leaving, Hudson gave us a nod.

"I'll go with him," He said. "We will be back after he cools down." He walked out and flew after Goliath.

"Now I wish I kept my mouth shut," I muttered placing my head in my hands.

"Hey," Brooklyn said coming over and placed a claw on my shoulder, which made me look up. "It's not your fault that Xanatos would try this to you."

"I'm terrified that I'm a daughter and what will happen," I muttered.

"What do you mean by that?" Lexington asked.

"It means that I might have to live with him," I muttered.

"I will not allow that to happen," Mom added placing her hand on the other shoulder. "Your grandparents aren't going to let you go, plus your grandmother is making her special pumpkin cakes for Thanksgiving."

"What's Thanksgiving?" Broadway asked.

"It's a national holiday where we get off from work and school where we meet with family and have a great and large dinner," I said.

"That sounds cool," Broadway replied.

"Plus we have a cool parade in the morning, I'll videotape it for you guys," I said.

"Thanks, Evie," Broadway said

"You're welcome," I said. "Shouldn't Hudson and Goliath be back by now?"

"They will be back, I'm not worried," Brooklyn said.

I was still worried as we Mom and I left for the night because they weren't back.

I didn't sleep because I was still worried that Hudson and Goliath weren't back. Rushing up to the steps to see Hudson and Goliath was back and safe. Acting before thinking and hugged Hudson tightly, who was a bit in shock before he placed a claw on my shoulder?

"Sorry, I'm just happy that both of you are okay and back," I muttered letting him go.

"It's alright Lass," He replied. "It's good to see you too."

"So what happens?" I asked.

"Demona attacked us and hurt us so we had to hide until we could get back," Hudson said.

"Oh okay," I added. "I'm just happy that you Guys are okay."

"Thank you for the concern, Evie," Goliath added.

"Well you guys are family," I replied. "And I got worried."

Goliath gave me a smile while made me smile more.
