"BEGONE!" He snapped, taking in energy from the bright bank lights before blasting away at the police squad. They were blown back by the sudden force of electricity that stampeded over them. His inconsistent form crackled as he held his hands over his head, the crackling of electricity scaring the captive people within the bank. There was metal and light everywhere… He was in his prime… Nothing could stop him. As he went to fire off another blast, this time at the people, his hands were retrained. He pulsed as hard as he could, only for it to have no effect. His form solidified slightly, and he could feel the thorns prickling into his wrists. "What the?!" He whirled around, and found a woman standing there, around his age. She had a calming appearance, and the more vines restrained then electric user.
"You are very powerful, but a sinner nonetheless." She said, locking darker eyes with the madman, who kept pulsing as he was lifted into the air. "Please, come with me. Accept salvation." The woman said, wearing a simple white dress as she gently took the now tired and drained madman away.
"Yin Oroku. Quirk is called Power Drain…" The police chief said, explaining the situation to the UA teacher and student. "His Quirk is extremely powerful, but he can't exactly shut it down. Even right now, he's draining power from the station just sitting there. He can absorb all types of power, from radiation to obviously electricity. He can only expel electricity with some concussive properties." The dog headed police chief explained. "Radiation under constant absorption has… He's slightly crazed. He goes outside, and he's exposed to solar radiation. He can only release it in an electrical form with concussive elements."
The man looked up, locking eyes with that girl again. She smiled at him and bowed, and he narrowed his eyes. "Shiozaki, you're…"
"Immune to the lost lamb's electrical bursts." The girl explained, watching as the man went limp. "Is he…"
"LOOK AWAY!" The chief cried, shielding his eyes. The teacher and student looked away just in time, and by the time Shiozaki looked, he stood over her with intrigued eyes. The wall around him had been blown out, and the metal wire crackled with electricity. He raised a hand, as if to blast her with electricity, but then he had a thought. And with that thought, he blasted the other two adults with electricity, and strolled off. Shiozaki was blinded by a quick flash, but felt no pain. He was gone by the time her eyes opened.
As he walked away from the police station, he pulled his hood up and grumbled something to himself. He didn't know exactly why he had not blasted her away. All her hair defenses were down. He could have ended her right there, but something about how she smiled… He wanted to see it again, so he let her live. That's how he figured. Or was it the wave? He had made the mistake of revealing his hand to the sunlight as he scratched his head, and he began to absorb more energy. His thoughts became slightly more erratic the more light he absorbed, and he began to go over all her features. Her prickly but powerful hair, her gentle features mostly hidden by her dress except for her smooth curving shoulders, her calming aura, her cool and collected dark emerald eyes, her…
"You're pretty strong." Oroku looked up, finding himself in a bar, now annoyed and distracted. Some guy with a hand on his face had said that, and he was currently surrounded. A blond girl, some guy with black hair, a guy in a mask and top hat, some guy in a full body suit, and some guy with a shadowy face and bright yellow eyes. "You just blew out the entire police station in one bl…"
"I don't know who you are, I don't really care, and take me back." Oroku snapped after cutting off the hand faced man, raising his own hand.
"Relax, we don't want any…"
"Three secon…" The black haired guy blasted a wave of blue flames directly at Oroku, who was consumed by the aquamarine destruction.
"Dabi!" The hand faced man snapped.
"What? You saw what he did to that station Shigaraki!" Dabi responded back, lowering his hand. As they went to argue, Oroku walked forward, his hands and his form sparking after draining the energy from the fire.
"You're all annoying!" Suddenly his hands burst with electricity, rippling about with a blue tint to it now. The blasts of electricity were consumed by dark portals. Oroku snarled before reaching to touch the ground, before being consumed by more fire. Once again, Oroku simply absorbed the excess energy being released by the flames, and as the girl went behind him for a stab, she noticed the flame had grew… Cold. And that she was then blasted into a wall by angry Oroku.
"Kurogiri, get him out of here!" Shigaraki snapped, dodging away from a strong electrical blast. Now the electrical blasts were even more blue, but he ended up nearly falling through a portal.
"Geez, with that kinda strength he should take on a top hero!" The guy in the body suit cried. "No, you idiot, that's a stupid idea!" He cried again. Before Oroku could silence him with a blast, he was tackled into a portal. The girl who did it escaped through the portal, and Oroku, hyped up on energy now, had only one thought repeating through his head.
Take on a top hero…
Shiozaki had left the station after assuring the police chief and Vlad King were okay, and back on patrols. The hero she was interning under was all about independence, so Shiozaki was allowed to go about on her own. Due to this, she had plenty of time to think about what had happened earlier. He had stared at her, raised his hand and everything, but he didn't hurt her. She had no clue why, and had started to regret not attempting to restrain him, until she felt the earth shake.
It wasn't an actual earthquake, something large had fallen. Something heavy. And as Shiozaki rushed to see what had happened, she saw Mount Lady on the ground, with an electrical burn coating her forehead. Shiozaki knew who caused it. She knew there were multiple electrical villains, but for Mount Lady to be instantly taken out?
"You're weak." Was all Shiozaki heard as the gigantic hero reverted down, and she saw him. Still in a hoodie, and jeans, but now his electricity had a bluish tint. "There should be…" Oroku was snagged by the wrist, and then by his other. He recognized the prickly feeling, and instantly discharged. Once again, it was completely nullified, and he turned. He found her again, or she found him?
"Oroku?" She asked, binding him further as she walked up. He thought about blasting her, but before he could move his hand was consumed by the writhing prickly vines. "Please, come with me." She said, not lifting him this time as he gave up. He walked along with her, the police that arrived recognizing him as the electrical monster from earlier that detonated the police station. As he walked along, he was shot with a tranquilizer, everyone there considering that the best option.
Upon awakening, Oroku was in shock, but he was out of energy. He had his hood on, and a new pair of gloves he didn't own, and was in a strange room. The smell of flowers quickly seeped into his nose. "Oh, Oroku, you're awake." Oroku turned around, finding her pouring tea on the bed. She wasn't in her hero outfit, just jeans and green sweater. He stood up, removed the gloves, and went to run. "Stay. Please." She said, locking eyes with him. As Oroku touched the doorknob, he gave pause. His mind was clear, for now.
He leaned against the door, hand still on the knob. "Who… Who are you?"
"I'm Ibara Shiozaki." She said, standing and bowing.
"Alright, Shiozaki, how do you know my name?" Oroku asked, backing up and turning to the girl.
"I was told it when you were in the police station." Shiozaki explained, and he inhaled.
"Huh. So I did do all that." He said, slumping down again the door.
Shiozaki blinked. "What?"
"If they told you my name, then they told you my Quirk too I guess…" Oroku said, sitting down against the door, and reaching into his hoodie pocket. He put a mask over his face, and then put on his goggles. "I can't exactly remember everything clearly after absorbing energy… I don't even remember how this stuff came off." He admitted, and Shiozaki nodded.
"Oh…" Shiozaki said, analyzing her new guest. She had been requested to keep an eye on him, as since he was only reckless when his Quirk was on charge, he could accidentally destroy any prison he was put in, unless they left in him a specially made plastic prison with no light. At all. Or wrap him in a ball of plastic. Shiozaki seemed immune to his Quirk's discharges, so they trusted her with him. She ended up analyzing the slight cuts on his wrists, and she felt bad. "I'm sorry."
"No, it's my problem. It's my Quirk's issue, so I'll be going…" As he went to turn the knob, his hand was grabbed. The first thing he noticed was how smooth her fingers were, as they interlocked with his. "What?"
"Please, stay." Shiozaki said, and Oroku raised an eyebrow.
"Why? I'm just going to get you in trouble." Oroku said, pulling away gently.
"I don't want you to get in trouble." Shiozaki said, and Oroku laughed.
"Good luck with that." He admitted, stepping outside. He immediately had ten guns pointed directly at him, and he sighed. Even with the little bit of energy he absorbed with his wrists bared, he was able to blast away the entire firing squad. He walked out of the other police station, pretty nonchalantly, firing off at anyone else who dared get in his way. Oroku sort of felt insulted that they would just put him in a room with her and expect him to think it wasn't a set up. Especially since they gave him gloves, but acted like he didn't have the rest of his own gear. Even so, he couldn't get over the warm feeling of her smooth fingers…
Shiozaki was checking on the subdued guards, when she thought about how he hadn't realized the intent of her apology. And he had spared her again, even though he seemingly knew the situation. She went to chase after him, but he had faded into the streets before she could do a thing. She decided she had to hunt him down, before he accidently lost control again.
She wasn't quick enough, as the number two hero floated down from the sky before Oroku. "Hey, you're the one causing trouble right?" Hawks asked, expecting Oroku to stop, but he was strolled on by.
"I didn't mean to, I didn't have control over myself, and I haven't killed anyone." Was the only response Hawks got as the bare skin of Oroku was exposed to the sun.
"Well, you can't just…" Hawks got a look from Oroku, only seeing his goggles.
"I can. And I will. If we fight, you'll lose. You know that, I know that, and go away." As Oroku turned, his wrists were wrapped up in feathers. "Stop right now."
"I'm a pr…" Electricity arced off Oroku, reaching for Hawks and ripping off the feathers. Hawks backed up, and was shocked when Oroku restrained himself. His hand began to twitch, but he quickly discharged into the air and pocketed his hands.
"Go… Now!" Oroku snapped, walking off. The second the first feather touched him, his hands came out. "You want…" The feathers worked to consume him, but they made a vital mistake. They exposed way too much skin. And Oroku slipped away.
A crackle was heard, and the feather's were burst off in a strong electrical burst. The goggles and mask had fallen to his neck, his hood had came off, and Oroku's hands were bared. He cackled and blasted Hawks away, the hero barely shielding himself in time. However, Oroku didn't restrain himself this time, chasing down the pro hero. Hawks, now intrigued with the sudden tone shift, unfurled his wings. Oroku's form had begun to become inconsistent, the more energy he absorbed from the sun. Hawks slipped Oroku up with a single feather, but the spry fighter wasted no time committing to the air himself, blasting off into the sky with energy from his feet. Hawks flew high as well, the two grinning, one with a nervous look and another with a mad grin. Hawks played a dodging game as he was hunted by Oroku, who fired off electrical blasts that blew holes in walls whenever he missed. And he missed a lot, attracting the attention of multiple heroes. None dared to interfere however, and little did Hawks know, Oroku was simply amassing more power as he flew about, blasting minimal amounts of electricity in comparison to what he was absorbing.
"For someone being so confident that you'd win, you can't even hit me!" Hawks said, rolling around a now purely yellow sparking blast.
"Did I say that? Can't exactly remember, but all I know is…" Oroku said, his form blinking out for an instant and blasting forward with new speed and a surprising amount of force, cracking one of Hawks ribs on contact, slamming him into the wall of a building. "I'm unbeatable! I'm above all of you!" Oroku declared, raising a sparking hand as he prepared to finish Hawks. Then he was kicked across the chest at Mach speeds, slamming into the road, rolling, and recovering. He merely grinned, rolling up his sleeves.
"Woah, crazy guy, you need to…" Miruko began, but she instantly had to dodge an wave of energy. "Geez, you're…"
"Slow!" Miruko was drop kicked by a quick Oroku, and as he raised his hand to blast her, he was kicked up by stomach.
"You were saying?!" The Bunny Heroine asked, launching Oroku away. He recovered in midair, coughing up blood, which caught against his electric currents that were accidentally sparking all around him. "Flight, huh? Come on down and fight me!" Miruko demanded, and Oroku raised his hand. "Wai…" Miruko had to dodge when a blast tore through the street of Mustafu, and she lunged for Oroku, still faster than him by a good bit.
Hawks was watching the battle, confused at how Oroku now couldn't hit her, but managed to blitz him. He knew something strange was going on, and watched how Oroku's blasts weren't as powerful as the ones Hawks was avoiding. And how even though he was not landing a single blow, the villain was grinning like a madman. "MIRUKO! Finish him! He's stalling to get stronger!" Hawks cried, and Miruko looked over,
"What?!" Oroku's brow darkened his he burst with speed, hitting Miruko with a forceful discharge. The heroine went flying, Oroku cackling as he floated in midair, above all others.
However, his confidence faltered upon feeling a certain material wrap around his bare wrists and ankles. Wood, but not vines. "Surrender, now!" Kamui Woods demanded, but Oroku now had no hesitation as he flipped with help from two concussive blasts from his hands, and he roared at Kamui, blasting him with a forceful wave of electricity from his mouth, freeing himself. Kamui was blown back, purely through concussive force, but releasing Oroku. "You can't ha…" Kamui was blitzed, receiving two sparking fingers to his eyes. This caused him excruciating pain as he passed out, and Oroku stomped on him, grinning.
"You were sl…" A powerful wave of flame consumed Oroku's torso, and they were consistent. A bright red, matching the beard and hair of the number one hero that released them.
"Honestly, you all can't do anything on your own." Endeavor declared as he lowered his hand. The flames faded, and Oroku stood there, grinning even wider as his form was practically writhing electricity, Electricity tinted red, with a group of violent arcs. "Wha…"
"BEGONE!" Just as Endeavor was about to be consumed by a wave of dominating power, a fast moving vine snagged Oroku's hand, snapping his arm back so that he blasted his own face.
"Oroku! Please stop!" Shiozaki cried, and Oroku froze. He was overloaded with power, but he knew how to beat her. Just blast her human parts. Her soft, warm, human parts. He didn't need to hurt her… She did ask nicely, and she was the only one to ask, not tell… She was willing to actually touch him, he thought. No one risked that, unless they were trying to hurt him… "Come on, please!" She begged, not wanting to scar up his wrists anymore, so not even restraining him further.
Oroku seemed to glitch, his form solidifying as he raised his free hand. The heroes were frozen as the young man began to spasm, before he blasted off all of his energy into the sky. Accidently, it caused a thunderstorm in seconds from the pure power in his body that was released in an instant. As the rough downpour of rain ensued, Oroku, coming back to reality, stumbled, and collapsed.
She had waited. She had waited in the dark rain for about fifteen minutes for him to awaken. The heroes there demanded he be arrested, but as she and the ensuing police explained, a cell would not work. Unless Kamui himself wanted to risk restraining Oroku, and they weren't entirely sure if he couldn't drain energy directly from a living being. They knew very little outside the basics of his Quirk. They had closed off the street, but left the two of them alone under her natural umbrella. By the time he stirred, she was on the verge on falling asleep herself.
"Ugh… What happened…?" He asked, sitting up. The last he remembered, was being challenged by Hawks. Then, he had gained too much energy to control himself.
"You were about to vaporize them all." Shiozaki explained, and he blinked.
"Oh, you're here again." Oroku noted quietly, scratching the back of his head. There were gaps in his memory, plenty of them. However, he remembered someone around his wrists and ankles, made of wood, and somehow he won. And a whole lot of fire. It wasn't her. "I fought Kamui Woods, didn't I?"
"...Yes." Shiozaki said, and Oroku sighed.
"How did I beat him? He's wood!" Oroku said, and she nodded.
"You're amazingly intelligent, Oroku." Shiozaki noted, and he looked over. "You freed yourself, blasted him with a concussive force, then used the only flesh on him in his eyes to defeat him." Oroku nodded, and sighed.
"Did I kill anyone?" Oroku asked, looking at the rain that seemed out of nowhere on the sunny day,
"No. But you mutilated the road, broke Mr. Hawks rib, and destroyed a few buildings." Shiozaki explained, and Oroku let out a sigh of relief.
"Good. Now, why are you here, and why is it raining?"
"For both of your questions, the answer is you." Shiozaki responded, and Oroku looked over, locking eyes with her. "I came to help stop you, yes, but also… I came to apologize." Oroku raised an eyebrow. "Your wrists…" Shiozaki said, and Oroku looked to his wrists. They were cut up, where the thorns were. Also, he had blood stains on his hoodie. "I didn't want to do that to you, but I didn't know how else to restrain you." Shiozaki said, reaching out for his wrists with her hands. Oroku couldn't help but let her have them, and she massaged them. "For the rain, all the power you absorbed and then released caused a thunderstorm." She said, pulling him closer gently. "You were… Holding back."
Oroku blinked at her. "What do you mean?" Oroku asked, and she looked at him.
In response, Shiozaki pulled his hands to her face. Like her hands, it was warm and smooth. "You could have easily beaten me when I went to stop you, both times. I'm mostly human, only my hair is immune to your power." Shiozaki noted, locking eyes with Oroku. "Thank you."
Oroku blinked again. Why did he hold back? She had a point. One direct electrical blast could have easily disabled her. What did she do that…
"Please, just try and stop what you do." Shiozaki asked, gripping both his hands tightly as she dipped her head to them.
It hit him then, and he looked to Shiozaki. "You asked… Nicely." He said softly, and the girl looked up and locked eyes with him.
"Huh?" She asked, and Oroku sighed. He shook off her hands, and stood up.
"Nothing, you were just kind." He said, pulling up his hood and putting on his mask and goggles. "At first when dealing when me. So thank you, Ibara Shiozaki. I'll let you relax." He walked off, and sighed when he saw the police blocking off the road. He looked at his bare hand as the rain splashed down on it. He might as well take the risk, he had no other option. He touched a telephone pole, and before anyone could do anything, he had gotten enough power to fly off. He moved extremely fast, specifically to burn out the energy before something bad could happen. He sat upon a roof, still under the rain cloud. Rain was nice… Outside of gravity, it held little energy. He could, to a degree, absorb kinetic force. But it was so minute, it was pointless. Especially since he was mostly covered up. It was cold rain, and thus it had little energy to absorb. If he were to attempt to absorb the remaining energy, he would freeze it. He was practically immune to fire however, considering he just involuntarily absorbed it. But fire gave him way too much energy.
Way too much to even control…
"Hey." Oroku turned, finding some man with hands on his person.
"Hello. Who are you?" He asked, and the man with hands sat down with him.
"My name is Shigaraki. You are?" The man asked, as the rain fell upon them.
"I'm Oroku." Oroku offered, something in him reminding him of this man.
"You're powerful. Extremely powerful."
"And I'm dangerous. Nothing else." Oroku responded casually, and Shigaraki looked over.
"So are we. We'd love a new member." Shigaraki said, and Oroku gave thought to that statement.
"You're from the League of Villains. I remember you now." Oroku said, standing up.
"Yes. But I have a question for you." Shigaraki began, and Oroku turned as the rain clouded his vision slightly. However, he could still see Shigaraki sitting there, with a dark portal behind him. "Where are you going?" Oroku paused, staring at Shigaraki and the metal pole beside him.
"Off." Oroku said, turning away.
"They'll never accept you." Shigaraki said, standing up himself. Oroku knelt down, absorbing some energy from a nearby light. It went out quickly.
"I know, and I'm not surprised." Oroku said, holding himself back. "Goodbye."
Just as Oroku went to fly off, Shigaraki asked this; "Are you going to go independent?"
"What do you even mean?!" Oroku snarled, the power quickly overwhelming his psyche.
"You're a villain. There are other groups, so are you going independent?" Shigaraki asked, standing up and backing away from the sparking man. "Are you going to visit her again?"
Oroku was quickly losing it, and before he gave an answer, he flew off. Shigaraki stepped back through the portal, still watching Oroku fly off, with a small grin. He had gotten to him first.
When she got a knock on the window, Shiozaki jumped. Outside, he flew there. There was a temporary blackout, and then he appeared. So, she wasn't all too surprised when the boy was floating outside her window, asking to be let in.
"How did you even find me?" Shiozaki asked, pouring him a glass of tea as he stood, which he actually drank this time. After repeatedly discharging into her hair, and sensation that made him much more docile after a large energy drain.
"A girl with vines for hair that's a heroine, around my age, with all the stories that have already been written about the me… The evil Electric Eliminator…" Oroku said quietly, having done plenty of research on her and accidently finding his new name. Pictures of him, wielding his electricity, madly conflicting with pro heroes. "Either way, it wasn't hard to find a UA student that competed pretty well in the Sports Festival, Shiozaki."
She nodded. "My room?" She asked, and Oroku shrugged.
"Lucky guess. I just happened to find you after I shut off the cameras." That explained the gap in time between the knock and the blackout.
"Okay. I'm sorry, once again, Oroku." Shiozaki said, withdrawing her hair from his wrists.
"It's not a problem. I came to you for help anyway." Oroku said, finally sitting down across from Shiozaki as she poured him another cup.
"Hm?" Shiozaki asked, and Oroku gulped down the drink before reaching out for her hair. She gave it, and watched as he discharged. He powered up quick, as she soon found out when he didn't want to release her hair. She allowed this, figuring it'd be best for him.
"You kept me calm. Obviously because with the less power I've absorbed, it's easier to be calm, but… I'd like any advice on being calm and in control." Oroku said, and Shiozaki blinked.
"Really?"
"Yes, yes please." Oroku said, bowing his head to what he hoped to be his teacher. Shiozaki smiled, and nodded.
"Alright. So, let's begin with mediation." Shiozaki said, and Oroku nodded. She took up a typical mediation position, wrapping her hair around his wrists, acting as a tether between the two of them as he copied. "So, this should allow you to relax. Just inhale and exhale, alright?" Shiozaki asked, closing her eyes. Oroku copied, and the two were quiet. Shigaraki's question rang throughout Oroku's head as he sat with her, and he knew some sort of answer. He couldn't be a hero. It was far too late for that. A villain he was, if not a very minor one. However, she didn't need to know that. Not at all. As he would reach a peak of power, he'd shiver and discharge to keep himself calm. Shiozaki was fine with this, happy that he managed to remain calm and stable. After five minutes, she smiled and opened her eyes. "Oroku, you're doing…"
"I'VE FOUND YOU!" A beast man declared, bursting through the door of Shiozaki's room. "Ms. Shiozaki, do not worry! I'll…" The beast man was grabbed on the face, and Shiozaki watched in terror as her student drained the very power of the transformation of her fellow hero in training. Shishida collapsed, reverted, being dropped by a now sparking Oroku.
The rest of the class rushed in, and Oroku sighed. He had at best, a minute. "Goodbye, Shiozaki." Before words could be exchanged, Oroku waved and vanished out the window. He used all of his energy in the escape, in order to maintain some sort of control. He landed on a building, and contemplated his chances of being caught. He absorbed a smaller amount of energy, and dropped down, pulling his guise up as the sun fell. As he strolled by alleys, getting off glances, his gaze was caught by someone. A man stood there, with a strange mask on.
"Yin Oroku." Was all the man said, waving a hand. "I recommend you come with me." Oroku sighed, and revealed his hands.
"I won't." Oroku said, his eyes narrowed.
"Well then, you may get him Katsukame." The man said, and the large man swung for Oroku's head.
This took a minute. Um, sorry? And... You're probably getting another Fuyumi next, I'm sorry, I really like writing that one, bye!
