Chapter 11
Silver had bolted out the door of the base, running along the broken down parking lot. Silver was terrified of what she was becoming. Slit eyes, white scales, black eagle-like claws? What was she? Silver was too terrified to think. Why had her ancient ancestors never told her this was going to happen? She looked frantically around for somewhere to hide. Nothing seemed like a good hiding place. So, she ran back to the orphanage. There, she had clothing that could hide what she was turning into.
As she ran up to the door, she opened it and entered, closing the door gently behind. Surprisingly, dawn was steadily approaching. She scurried up the stairs into her room. She noticed the bed opposite side of hers. A sleeping girl slept in it. Silver walked to her dark colored bed. She knelt to reach under her bed, pulling out a brown box on along the wooden floor. It made a sound.
"Silver?" Asked a drowsy voice.
"Go back to sleep Carlotte." Silver said, openedig the box. She greedily looked around. Her claws tearing at each of her fabric in the box. She gently pulled out a light blue kimono. "I can't believe I got this from some uknonw guy." She was astonished. The kimono had dark vine-like markings along with blue silk edging the clothing. She quickly fit it on. It still fit from all these years of not wearing it. Looking around, she noticed a ragged old jacket with a huge hood. Silver quickly grabs the garment and swings it over. She slipped her arms trough the cloth. It was almost like a monk's robe. The very long and loose sledging let her easily slip her hands into the other arm's sleeve. Her heart racing. The orphanage lady forbade her to wear her kimono ever again. But Silver was not planning to stay. She grabbed a backpack, slipping things she would need in the bag. She flung it onto her back. Quickly and quietly, she leaves the room. Quietly runs down the stares and left the building. She was home free from the horrible lady who owned the orphanage. She knew it was soon time for the kids to wake and do their own chores. Silver was happy to leave. She put the good over her head and began to walk away. The covered most of her head. Maybe she could go find a cave and live there. She does not want to show her face to the pack with what she was turning into. But she was not sure where to go exactly.
"Where do we find Silver?" Sari sounded worried.
"That beast is going against her punishment!" Rachael hissed. She knew why Silver left. Her transformation left her terrified.
"You have to remember that she was as terrified as you were when you, too, transformed." Sari reminded Rachael.
She knew Sari was right but did not want to admit it.
"Well, she won't be heading to the orphanage." Sari put in.
"I wonder if she would head back to that pack of hers?" Bulkhead asked.
"That would be too obvious." Sari said.
"How do you know? That flea bitten mange could be heading to her pack." Rachael hissed.
"You don't know Silver like I do, Rachael." Sari looked to Rachael.
"Then where would she go?" Optimus asked.
Rachael saw Sari give a hard think. Rachael just let her think since she knew Sari knows Silver better than her.
"I think I might know but we have to hurry or we will miss her." Sari said.
"Are you sure?" Bumblebee asked.
"I know she will try to hide somewhere where there is the least amount of people." Sari explained. "And I think I know where that could be at."
Along the way, Rachael rode on Prowl and Sari got a ride in Bumblebee. They were heading to some place that Sari thought Silver could be at. The sun had peaked over the mountains turning everyone a hint of orange. Rachael still did not like the idea of looking Silver but she knew Silver was afraid of what she was becoming. They came up to an abandoned home and stopped in front of it. The grass overgrown and weeds freely sprouted everywhere. Sari stepped out of Bumblebee, Rachael got off of Prowl. "You sure she would be in there?" Rachael asked shocked. The place seemed it would collapse any moment.
"I'm positive she in there." Sari answered as she stepped up the creaking steps, Rachael followed. Both entered the creaking building. Sari looked around then stepped fully in. Ceiling debris fell down nearly hitting Sari.
"Sari, you have to get out. I will look for her." Rachael said. "I know you won't leave without her."
Sari looked at her refusing to budge. "She is my friend. I want to help her too."
Rachael knew she would be stubborn so she quickly grabs Sari and tossed her out. Bumblebee immediately caught her; she already knew one of them was going to catch her. She turns to the darkened building. Small dust debris falling here and there. A deep moaning came from the dark parts of the house. She noticed the windows were purposely covered by wood, it made it seem darker than it actually is. Good thing she had night-vision; but even with the night vision, there was still shadowed areas.
"Go away."
"Silver?" Rachael calls.
"Go away." The voice sounded more firm.
"I won't leave without you." Rachael knew what she said was not fully true. She only did not want to leave to have Sari come in and force Silver out. A growl came from the darkest spot in the house. A serpent like object slipped out of the darkness by a shaft a light gleaming through an opening in the ceiling, the object slipped back into the shadows. A white fore-paw stepped out into the light; its sharp eagle-like claws poked the wooden floor beneath. It was Silver's paw that she saw back at the base, it grew bigger. Rachael was now unsure what to do. What did Silver become? The head slips into the light next; short snout, squared head, blue piercing eyes with slit eyes, lightning-shaped horns protruding from the back of her her head, four smaller sets of the horns along her jaw-line on each side. She bared her teeth to show needle sharp fangs. The next paw came out, giving way her chest area; long-muscular legs with a claw at the elbow. Without having the ability to check what she full looked like, Silver lunged at her.
