On with the story!

Brittany groans softly and slowly opens her eyes, the ringing in her ears seems to have faded to a softer tone and she can hear the dull sound of something sizzling, maybe that was the gun?

She tries to push herself up but something heavy lays against her back and she frowns, hearing a soft pained grunt, "Alvin?" she manages to turn and look over her shoulder, a shiver creeps down her spine as something warm drips onto her back and slowly seeps through her clothing.

"A-Alvin..." she squeaks softly as his body weight is suddenly lifted off her, a pair of paws hooks under her arms and lifts her up, "Are you ok?" she blinks and stares at Jeanette as her sister loses color in her face, her violet hued gaze staring at something over her shoulder.

Brittany turns and regrets it, the monster lays on it's side, a single dull black eye staring straight at them, only half of it remains, it's right side is completely gone and the sand beneath it is dark and wet with it's blood.

"Alvin...Alvin open your eyes," Simon kneels over his brother, trying to rouse the russet furred munk, Theodore is at his side, a medical kit spread out beside them.

Brittany steps towards them, trying to peer between the boys, a small gap between their arms allows her a glimpse of the munk and her stomach plummets as the world seems to sway beneath her paws, the colors blurring together in a vortex before her eyes and she loses all feeling in her body as Jeanette's voice calls out to her though it seems far away.

As the world is sucked into the black the image flashes through her mind, the wires, the blood, the bones mixed with metal.

Alvin's back was open to the world, and his spine was visible through the blood.

Simon stares grimly at the screen, his lips drawn tight in a weak frown as he replays the video over and over again, Theodore sits at his side with his head resting on the counter, listening to the man muttering on the screen. A pre-recorded disc was found in the creature's remains, it was a messenger.

"This man...what could he gain from this?" Simon runs a paw along his face, as if trying to smooth away the stress furrowed in his knitted eyebrows.

Isaac Dismore paces back and forth in front of the screen, the image of him is a bit blurry and it lacks all color, it's surface is a bit grainy making his face impossible to recognize. He suddenly stops and seems to notice that the camera is running, Simon can make out a crooked grin stretching across the human's face.

"Ah so it actually works, stupid old thing...anyway I'm assuming you found my disc, hope my little beast didn't do too much damage," the man chuckles beneath his breath as Simon's paw curls into a fist against his leg.

"Well let's get down to business...I've taken it upon myself to educate you...creatures on your true purpose since my dear brother is no longer around to look after his creations, you see you have been 'born' to create a new era, an era of those who will truly understand each other, who will be able to have a deeper connection than man has before," Dismore pulls out a chair and sits down, toying with something he had picked off a desk.

"My brother wanted the world to be a better place once the war purged the world of evil, but he didn't realize his creations' full potential unlike me, he didn't realize that he was creating an army of soldiers who can't die by normal means, who HAVE to listen to their superiors no matter what he didn't realize the power he held...he was foolish to waste it on vermin," the man hisses harshly through his teeth as he neared the end of his little rant, the two munks can practically feel the tension oozing off him even though this was pre-recorded.

"You see...you Machines...are nothing but Machines, you'll always be different, inhuman, it's a miracle you're even able to actually FEEL," Dismore looks straight on, his dark eye boring into the screen.

"You're all defects, you weren't meant to have free will, that's why I woke them...woke your Programmers in hopes that your programming will override your 'free will'. I have known of you for a long time, why do you think I put you in the Vault in the first place? Why were you trained so furiously? Only trained in your programming," a chill itches down Simon's spine as Theodore makes a soft whimper like sound in his throat.

"You see...I've been watching all along, you NEVER had free will," the man sneers, leering at the munks through the recording like a cat who trapped a mouse in a corner, it's like he knows he's won.

Simon pauses the video angrily, glaring at the screen, his once ocean blue eyes now glow with a piercing dark blue light and claws built from steel dig sharply into the counter top, slowly making dents.

"Simon...is he still watching us?" Theodore's small frightened voice jerks Simon out of his angry induced haze, the munk turns to face his younger sibling, no longer seeing the bright red warning in the corner of his eye.

"No...no he's not, he won't be, once Alvin heals we're finding somewhere new. We'll start up research on plants and earth life before the war and we'll stop this hunger from devouring the world," He says evenly, gazing at the dirty blonde rodent with a level thoughtful look.

Theodore's eyes light up and he smiles at the older munk as the door whirs open, they both turn and stare in a mix of shock and horror as Alvin stares at them from the doorway, his eyes a solid golden color, there is no sign of the whites of his eyes, nor his pupils.

"Alvin...you should be resting," Simon says slowly as he eases down off the stool, Alvin's gaze follows him without blinking and Theodore hurriedly scrambles down onto the ground to stand at his side.

"I don't need rest," his brothers flinch at the cool toneless voice that escapes Alvin's mouth, the munk's lips curl into a slow sneer, so similar to Dismore's that it causes the two youngest Sevilles' to take a frightened step back.

"I need the Machines," he rushes forward, catching Simon in the stomach with a fist armored with spikes, the brown furred rodent gasps sharply as the air is knocked clean from his lungs, he recovers instantly and grabs hold of Alvin's forearm, twisting his arms harshly causing his brother to cry out and withdraw his fist from Simon's abdomen.

The spikes on Alvin's knuckles drip black blood and Simon pants evenly through his mouth, Theodore's own knuckles are now adorned with spikes, his eyes wide in terror.

"You can not escape his grasp any longer, he will have the Machines," Theodore braces for the oldest rodent to make a move but he doesn't move an inch, Simon takes a step forward and opens his mouth just as electricity explodes from Alvin's body, hitting the two other rodents dead on.

Neither were prepared for the sudden burst in energy and warnings flash across their eyes as their bodies warns of a high spike in energy, their bodies can't keep up and the world is plunged into black as they both feel a cold steel paw close around their ankles.
