I is for Ice Cream
Thanks to the guest reviewer, you are sweet.
I said the story would cover 10 years and here is the proof. They have been married 6 years at this point and adopted a little girl 2 years ago. Little Orihime is now 5 and her parents are 27, she is Seto's Princess and Joey's angel but he doesn't call her that. It is summer.

Seto and his daughter were standing at the duck pond tossing bread to fat ducks. They came to this part of the town to see the play "Snow White", Seto thought it was very well translated. Joey thought Orihime would enjoy seeing the park where he and Seto got engaged. The young men rarely saw the park in the daytime, so it was a treat for them too. In the distance they could hear children playing. The ducks and a pair of swans were swimming under the Sakura tree. It was a pretty sight, but not as pretty as Seto's Princess in her new dress.
"Papa?"
"Princess?"
"Have these ducks always been here?"
"Yes, the park was built around this pond. They were here first."
"I didn't think that species existed in Japan."
Seto chuckled Orihime was exceptionally smart, she was a genius and this year they were sending her to a special school dedicated to the instruction of gifted students. Orihime seemed to be what Joey and Seto could have produced if one of them was a girl. She was gifted with sapphire eyes like Seto, and excitable with blond hair like Joey. Though her hair is already starting to darken and she'll probably look even more like Seto's child in a few years. That is until something excites her and she zooms off to conquer the world. They were very lucky to fine her, a one of a kind child for a one of a kind couple. The matron was looking for just the right couple; they had to be willing and able to help the exceptional child. Even though they were a gay couple with a foreign marriage license, they were perfect. The papers signed and two years ago, today, she became the newest Kaiba.
She was only four the first time she beat her Papa at chess, and Joey played with her for hours in the back yard just to use up all that energy. A fight broke out over how to teach her Duel Monsters. Joey wanted to teach her the "Muto Method" as he called it. Seto wanted her to have a power deck like his. Uncle Mokie taught her the basics, gave her some booster packs, and she figured out the rest. Her dads beamed with pride when she defeated Yugi.
"Papa is this really where you proposed to Daddy?"
"Yes, just over there on that bench."
Orihime turned to see a quite ordinary bench; she walked over and sat down.
"How did you do it?"
"I just knelt down and asked him."
"I think there was a bit more to it than that."
"You're right Princess; I had a ring custom made."
"You're silly Papa, I mean dragons, really?"
"It has special meaning to us."
"I know but it's still silly. I want a simple diamond solitaire." Seto grinned
"Hey guys!"
Joey approached them he had strawberry cone in one hand and ice cream cups in the other. Joey handed the cone to his daughter.
"Be careful, you don't want to drip on your dress."
Orihime was wearing a yellow dress with white daisies all over it. Joey was in cargo shorts and a blue t-shirt. Seto was similarly dressed only with the shirt tails tucked in. Joey passed the vanilla cup to his husband and kept the chocolate for himself. They opened the tops and started scooping the ice cream with the little wooden spoons. The family ate the ice cream in silence and enjoyed the view. This little corner of the park was a bit isolated and you only found couples looking for some alone time. The green trees and bushes, the animals quietly swimming in the cool green water, it was a peaceful and relaxing scene.
The sun glinted on Joey's ring, black and white, blue and red, opposite colors joined together by the heart shaped diamond, and hugged by the thin gold band.
"Heart shaped diamond; yeah my fiancé should get me a heart shaped one." Orihime thought. She knew there was a matching set on her Papa's hand. It was silly but she got the symbolism. Well sort of. "Dragons." She thought and rolled her eyes.
"Daddy?"
"Orihime?"
"Did Papa really ask you to marry him here?"
"Yup, I never was so surprised in my life." Joey laughed and Seto's grin widen.
"Seto got down on one knee, opened the box with this ring…" Joey extended his hand into the light and the diamond sparkled.
"He said: 'Joey I love you, will you marry me?' I couldn't believe it. I held the box and stared at the ring, I couldn't believe it but it was real. He was serious, and I said yes, obviously." Joey twinkled at Seto, who twinkled back. Orihime sighed, her Dads were so cute. The moment she first saw Seto and Joey she knew they were the ones. It was familial love at first sight. She is only five now but already knows what "gay" means and knew her family was weird, but it was a good weird. They along with Auntie Serenity and Uncle Mokie and her Grandparents made a family. She is happy. They ate ice cream in contented silence.
"That chocolate looks good." Seto said to Joey
"I would give you some, but it's all gone." Joey smirked as he put the last spoonful into his mouth. Seto accepted the challenge getting on his knees he knelt on the bench. He leaned his tall frame over Orihime and pulled Joey into a tongue kiss. Orihime was used to this as they frequently kissed and ducked out of the way. Joey and Seto felt the same sensation of the cold ice cream and the heat of their mouths. Vanilla mingled with chocolate. They moaned and forgot where they were. All too soon Seto parted and Joey was disappointed.
"Damn my knees hurt."
"You're too skinny."
"You like me skinny."
"Yup."
A quick peck on the lips and they all sat down again and finished the ice cream. Or rather Seto and Orihime did. Joey cleaned up and pulled out wet naps out of the pocket he used to carry condoms in. They wiped Orihime's dress and headed for home, each young man holding a hand of their child.
