"Something Lost Will Never Return"
"Ne, Ne, Akashicchi, let's look over there, I think I saw a clothing which definitely fits you!" Kise exclaimed and dragged Akashi and the others towards another boutique of clothes.
"Gaah! Kise, stop being so pushy!" Aomine complained and smacked Kise's head. "We need to finish this fast, remember? We still need to search for Tetsu." He grunted.
The blonde bit his bottom lip and apologized, "Sorry, I thought I should distract you even just for awhile."
Akashi sighed, "That's fine. Anyways, let's get going. We don't know, maybe a miracle will happen and we'll collide with Tetsuya here." He mumbled in obvious mockery.
"Seems legit." Aomine commented which made him deserve a death glare from the red-head. "GAH! I was just joking!"
Tetsuya, where could you be…? Akashi wondered as they entered the front door of 'Miracles' Supermarket and headed towards the cereal products first.
~LFMH021~
Kuroko looked up at the clear sky and whispered, "I wonder how Sei-kun is doing right now…"
"Oi, Kuroko-kun! Let's go! Or else we'll run out of time for the sales that are still on-going!" Yusei enthusiastically called out and approached him before carefully dragging him inside this area's most famous market: 'Miracles' Supermarket and they entered in it using the back door since that was where the car they used was parked.
"Oh, is there anything you would like to request?" The maroon-head offered.
Kuroko smiled and looked around. "Um, I would like to eat some cereal later at dinner."
"Alright, cereal here we go!"
Kuroko was starting to regret why he had chosen cereal of all the foods inside the store.
~LFMH021~
As sharp as ever, Akashi's joke might turn in either a disaster or a miracle as both decided to head towards the same product first and at the same market too.
Will fate make them meet or will fate drift them more apart?
"Aka-chin, what flavor are you going to choose?" Murasakibara mumbled as he drooled over the flavors of cereals he was seeing in front of him. "There are so many~"
"Hm, I wonder. Is there anything you will recommend me?" The red-head replied as he scanned the different brands before him. "There are indeed many choices and it seem even I can't choose what's best among them all." He scanned all the flavors and found something that caught his eyes. The contents and even the package itself were teal-colored and neatly-packaged. He read its' name and smiled by himself. 'Rainbow Skies' it said and that's when he remembered why that particular brand caught his attention.
"This' so weird, Akashi-kun, why did you suddenly drag me to the grocery store in a Saturday Morning?" The teal-head mumbled in curiosity as he dumbly faced the station of cereals. "And the station of cereals too…?"
"Well, honestly, I haven't eaten yet 'cause we ran out of cereal and I don't eat anything else at breakfast except cereal, that's why I dragged you here." He explained and sighed. "I don't know what to choose."
"Seriously, Akashi-kun? You called me just for that? And here I thought you called me because you accidentally hit your head and forgot what your name is." The phantom player mumbled in disbelief and painstakingly reached the cereal brand which was on the top.
"What are you doing, Tetsuya?"
"Re-Recommending you a good cereal…! Finally! Got it!" Kuroko sighed and handed it towards him. "Pay it. Now. Go home. Eat. Then leave me alone for some hours. I haven't eaten as well. My stomach's growling. I'll die of hunger."
That's when Akashi burst laughing and also when Kuroko pushed him towards the cashier and made him pay for the cereal which he chose out of nowhere just because it was the same color as his hair which was so rare.
~LFMH021~
"Ah! Kuroko-kun, why don't you buy the milk instead?" Yusei suggested as he finally caught sight of both the cereal then the beverages' stations. "It will save time since they are quite far away from each other."
"What brand should I get and how many?"
"Any brand, as long as it's not yet expired then get three one liter packs." He instructed, ruffled Kuroko's hair and ran towards the cereals' station. "I'll go to you as soon as I'm able to get a pack of cereal. Any request?"
"…The 'Rainbow Skies' please." The teal-head replied after a pause.
"Rainbow Skies?" Akashi offered as they sat in the Akashi's dining table.
"How did I end up here again, Akashi-kun?" Kuroko mumbled in disbelief. "I mean, supposedly…you're the only one who'll be eating at your home right and I'll be heading back home as well. To eat. We'll both eat. But not at the same residence. That's what I remember." He murmured in disbelief.
The red-head smirked and pushed him to his seat as he set down bowls and placed the pack of milk and box of cereal at the table. "Eat."
"I'm not a dog, Akashi-kun." He complained.
"I never said you are. But you do look like one."
"And what breed will I be?"
"Pitbull. You bark too much." Akashi commented.
"Then you're a Chihuahua. You're so small." He grunted and finally took the offer.
The red-head's eyebrows twitched with the insult and he suddenly tried to take the box of cereal from Kuroko's hands. "No more cereal for you. I take back my words."
"A real man does not back out from his words, Akashi-kun. Besides, I already started, let me finish."
"Not until you take back your words of me being a chihuhua." Akashi complained.
"You're just guilty." He uttered and tried pulling the box of cereal from the emperor's hands.
And their 'Rainbow Skies' war lasted for almost ten minutes until both of their stomachs growled and they just ate and finished the whole box's content.
He couldn't help smiling with the stupid memory and he nodded as bid. "I'm going to get some milk now."
Yusei grinned and nodded before approaching the 4th station and looking for the certain product his company had requested. He blinked upon seeing rainbow-colored haired guys surrounding the cereals. "Weird…I never saw rainbow up this close." He mumbled and looked around and finally found the 'Rainbow Skies' above the shelf. "Too high…" He grunted and approached the unknown-to-him Generation of Miracles. "Excuse me," he muttered and stood on his toes. In sync, both he and the red-head reached for the 'Rainbow Skies' and both were able to get it at the same time which made them glance at each other. "I think I tried to reach for this first." He uttered.
The smaller boy smirked. "Oh? I think I did. As you saw, we were the first ones who were here."
"You were there, but you didn't reach it when you still have time earlier, so I guess I won." Yusei defended as he took the cereal box.
You might be wondering why they're fighting over a cereal box, and the answer was: it's the only box left of this brand. Yes, they're just both too unfortunate.
"No, I was the first one who got it, so don't be ridiculous." Akashi grunted as he grabbed the cereal box back at him.
"How dare you talk like that with me? I'm older than you, and I'm also a police officer, so know your place, kid." He snapped in annoyance. Kids these days. Why can't they be like Kuroko-kun?
"Don't be too boastful of your position, because that doesn't speak who you really are. And if you're really older than me, you would let this go and let me have it. You don't act your age at all." The "emperor" stated.
"Yusei-kun?" A voice from behind the shelves before them called out.
"Uh, here. I'm actually having some trouble here." He admitted and glared at Akashi. "Give it to me already."
"Do you want me to come there?" The teal-head offered and finally the members of the Generation of Miracles had confirmed it.
"…Tetsuya?" Akashi whispered in doubt. "Is that you, Tetsuya?" Even if he always believes that he was right, sometimes the red-head still couldn't erase doubt in his mind especially when it concerned a certain phantom player named Kuroko Tetsuya.
Silence was the only thing they heard from the other and Yusei felt, deep within him, that they needed to go. He pushed the box of cereal towards Akashi which brought the latter into shock and almost made him out of balance. "Let's go! Go! Go! Go!" He heard the maroon-head shout and suddenly heard loud and hurried footsteps…and then the sound of the bell when someone entered or exited the grocery store.
"W-Wai—" But before they could even protest, the two were already gone and the charcoal-colored car which was parked right in front of the grocery store was now gone. "Wha—They're gone!" Aomine exclaimed and stomped his foot. "Damn, that guy was fast."
"That was Kurokocchi, right Akashicchi?" Kise mumbled.
He nodded, grabbed hurriedly all the things that was on the list and paid everything he grabbed out of nowhere. He used cash to be faster as well which was very seldom for him. "Bring this back home and I'll search for them."
"What if they've gone home?" Midorima queried as he pushed his glasses.
The red-head gripped the one of the wristbands Kuroko entrusted to him before he left their house. "I don't care. Even if I need to knock every house which has a charcoal-colored car in it, I will do it. I need to find Tetsuya." He murmured, his eyes blazing not in determination but in desperation. "I will find him."
"But, Aka-chin~ You did notice that he grew silent when you called out his name right? Isn't that puzzling~?" Murasakibara mumbled as he nibbled one pocky.
As they walked outside of the grocery store and placed the things they'd bought at the back part of the car, silence enveloped the five of them. "I did. I indeed did notice how he grew silent when I called his name. And it somehow puzzled me too. But I will find him. For now, I want you to inform my father of what we've just witnessed and make him do some search himself. You too, search or I'll kill you one by one." He threatened and shocked his company when he suddenly bowed. "I trust you guys on this. I hope for your full cooperation. Please. Please, I'm begging you."
"N-No need to bow, Akashicchi!" Kise panicked.
"Y-yeah, I mean, we're all friends you know! N-Not just because of the oath, but because well, we're friends besides, we want to find Tetsu too, so you can count on us!" Aomine agreed.
"Aka-chin, it'll be alright~" Murasakibara mumbled and patted the "emperor's" head. "We'll find Kuro-chin~"
"Thank you, Atsushi and may I remind you. Of course we will find him. I've said, haven't I? And once I have, it'll be done." Akashi proudly stated and shooed the four. "Go back there now, or I'll let the horses from the nearest zoo kick you, so you'll swiftly fly from here to our residence."
~LFMH021~
"Well, I did say that, but damn it! There are like thousand of houses here and how the hell am I going to see if they have charcoal-colored car without looking like a stalker?!" He growled to himself and pulled his hair in frustration. When he felt that someone was about to pass by, he quickly composed himself and fixed his hair.
Just like what he felt, two girls passed by and glanced at him. He instantly pretended like he was looking something at his phone and swiftly looked at them. Both gasped, blushed then hurriedly walked away in embarrassment. He –them, the Generation of Miracles and some guys he knew, to be precise—always had that effect on girls for some reason and he didn't know why. Yes, he was just pretending he didn't know why girls were drooling at them.
He was wandering when he finally felt tired and rested on one of the benches in the park. On the park which seemed kind of empty for today. For most part, maybe because there were still some who had work today and there were some who were busy having their reviews since exams were near.
"Tetsuya…" He murmured as they stared at the starry sky. For no reason, they just just suddenly decided to have a stargazing that night and they didn't regret it, especially as they laid on the Bermuda grass and stared at the star-filled sky.
His seatmate tilted his head and turned towards him. "Yes, Akashi-kun?"
"Do you believe in wishes coming true?" He mumbled as he saw one shooting star.
The teal-head blinked then nodded a little. "I do. It's not like I'll lose anything when I try to make a wish upon a shooting star or even just in a wishing well. I do believe in miracles after all."
"Miracles? Why? Are you waiting for something to happen?" He queried in curiosity.
"Well, I do. But I guess it's still kind of unreachable and impossible." Kuroko replied and blinked when he felt his hand being taken. When he looked at the other, the red-head was already raising their intertwined their hands together at the air.
"Well, I do believe that nothing is impossible, Tetsuya." He admitted and squeezed the teal-head's hand. "The meteor shower will start soon. In three, two…one."He muttered and closed his eyes as he thought of his three wishes.
'I want to become successful.'
'I want to be complete.'
'And…I wish that Tetsuya will always be by my side. Forever.'
When he reopened his eyes - that was also when Kuroko opened his. They glanced at each other and squeezed each other's hands as they rolled towards each other's sides before slightly laughing.
He squeezed his eyes hut before re-opening them and cursing in frustration. That's when he noticed the note attached on the fountain right before him.
Make a wish. Throw a coin. Wait for it to come true. Many have said that this fountain makes miracles. It's up to if you'll believe or not. But miracles do exist.
He didn't know if fate was mocking him or it was just plain coincidence, but then again, what was the harm in trying? He stood up, took out a penny from his pocket and approached the fountain. "Wish…?" He murmured.
"Let's try it, Akashi-kun."
"And why would we?"
"Maybe because there's no harm in doing so? Stop being so stingy."
He stared at the fountain's' water before smirking. "This is ridiculous." He stated before throwing a coin in it. "Anyway…I wish I'll see Tetsuya even just for the very last time." He whispered as he closed his eyes.
He heard someone throw a coin as well, but he ignored it and continued chanting the same wish over and over again.
"I hope I will see Sei-kun for the last time…Even just to say goodbye." He heard someone whisper from across him.
He opened his eyes with the unusual wish and looked across but then realized that the trunk of the tree was blocking whomever it was, so he ran towards that person but— he never realized that miracles do come true.
"T-Tetsuya?" He gasped as he faced the teal-head person who was sitting on a wheelchair.
The phantom player's eyes widened in surprise and looked up at him. "S…Sei-kun?" He mumbled in disbelief and slowly backed off. "I…I need to go." He lied and turned the wheelchair around.
"Tetsuya, wait." He ordered and effortlessly took hold of the teal-head's wrist. "You were the person inside the grocery store earlier, weren't you, Tetsuya?" He demanded as he turned the phantom player's wheelchair around forcefully.
With head turned towards a different direction, Kuroko didn't answer and remained silent.
"We were just a shelf away from each other earlier, Tetsuya. Why did you let that guy take you away? Why did you let that guy snatch you away when we were just about to meet? Why did you suddenly leave?" He queried as he knelt and held both of the teal-head's shoulders.
Silence was, once again, Kuroko's answer to the red-head.
"Tetsuya, answer me!" He snapped.
"I just didn't want to see yet earlier…" Kuroko mumbled, obviously avoiding eye contact.
"Why are you avoiding my eyes?" He grunted and faced Kuroko's head towards him and grew silent upon seeing tears almost betraying the latter. "Tet—"
Kuroko whacked away Akashi's hands and hid his face with his bangs. "Leave me alone, Sei-kun…"
"Leave you alone…? What the hell are you saying, Tetsuya? Do you know how worried we were when you were thrown out into the river? Do you know how much time we sacrificed to find for you and you want us –me to be precise—to leave you alone just like that?!"
"Well, you can stop now then."
"What the—Tetsuya! Are you out of your mind? Did you hit your head? Did you get amnesia? That guy must have brainwashed you, he must be a friend of your cousin, I'll kill him and—"
"No." Kuroko firmly interrupted and held onto a handful of Akashi's cloth. "Don't involve Yusei-kun here."
"So his name is Yusei, huh." He muttered and smirked. "He's so unlucky to have messed with—"
"Sei-kun, cut it out." The teal-head complained and glared at Akashi. "He snatched me away earlier at the grocery store because I told him to do so beforehand."
"What…"
Slowly, Kuroko's hand on his cloth fell down. "I asked him that if ever we meet each other again, I want him to take me away and instantly leave that place."
"…But why?" He sighed in disbelief.
That's when Kuroko's tears betrayed him and they started trickling down his pale cheeks as he clutched his cloth which was near his heart and mumbled his answer, "Because I don't want to see you again."
"Was that why you wished to see me for the last time, to say goodbye? Is that the reason why?" He mumbled as he tried to take hold of Kuroko's hands. The teal-head nodded and more tears dropped into the ground.
"I'm sorry, Sei-kun…I'm so sorry…I…" Kuroko sobbed. "I still love you, but I just…I just…I just need to let you go…" He murmured sadly and gripped Akashi's hands.
When the phantom player looked up, he realized how sincere the former's words were; he realized how much pain Kuroko was enduring as of the moment and he didn't know what to do; he didn't know what to do to suppress even just a little of the teal-head's pain.
The only thing he was able to do was to kneel down and envelope the phantom player with his two warm arms. He too had started crying even if he had told himself many times not to. That was also when he leaned over and kissed the other's forehead. "Don't do this, Tetsuya…I'm begging you…Don't…We'll find a way…We will…Just stay…" He sniffled.
"I…"
"Kuroko-kun!" A familiar voice called out and they both turned towards the maroon-head who was panting and holding two cotton candies. "Don't run off suddenly! You made me worried—Ah…So you two still met huh…" Yusei mumbled in disappointment and handed Kuroko his reddish cotton candy.
"Akashicchi~! We're back! E-Eh…?! K-Kurokocchi?!" Kise exclaimed as he, with the other members of the Generation of Miracles, finally arrived and slowly approached where they stood.
He continued kneeling on the ground and holding onto Kuroko's hands as the maroon-eyed continued staring right at him, speculating him, inspecting him. If he was the real deal. "So you're Yusei, I presume?"
"Yeah, and you're…Akashi, right?" The other responded as he approached Kuroko and wiped the former's tears away. "You cried again. You're crying a lot lately, Kuroko-kun." He commented and laughed. "The cotton candy will spoil~ Eat it already! I waited a long line for me to be able to buy that, you know." He whined and ruffled Kuroko's hair.
"…Ah, thank you." Kuroko replied with a small smile and took a bite of his cotton candy. "It's sweet."
"That's why it's called 'candy' remember?" Yusei grumbled. "Sheesh…"
"There are the 'mint' candies, Yusei-kun." Kuroko pointed out.
"…Er, true." The maroon-head mumbled in defeat. "Anyway, I guess we should leave now. Do you want me to push your wheelchair for you?"
The teal-head casted a glance towards the red-head before him before answering, "…Yes, please do."
Yusei gazed at the members of the Generation of Miracles for a second before taking hold of the wheelchair and biding, "We'll excuse ourselves now."
"No. Tetsuya, please re-consider this." Akashi objected as he continued to squeeze Kuroko's hands. "Your brother's back and he's also searching for you. Don't leave like—"
"It doesn't matter." Kuroko interrupted and smiled bitterly. He gradually pulled his hands away and shook his head. "I want to live my new life now, Sei-kun."
"New life? Who are you kidding, Tetsuya? Is this the life you're talking about? You're only running from your problems and trying to pretend that by living with this guy will take away all your troubles and give you a new beginning! You're just fooling yourself, Tetsuya! Open your goddamn eyes!"
"Why do you care?!" For the first time, it was Kuroko who yelled back at the red-head. "You never really cared, right? You only cared for me because I told you that I love you and it makes you guilty that if you leave me like this, it's just you're throwing me like a trash. Isn't that what you've been—"
Kuroko shut up when he lifted his hand suddenly.
He could see from the teal-head that the latter was expecting a slap.
So he surrendered and just let his hand touch the teal-eyed's cheek. "Tetsuya, you're so stupid…So damn stupid and naïve…" He grunted and clenched his hands.
Even Kise, Midorima, Murasakibara, Aomine, and Yusei, themselves were surprised with the gentle gesture the red-head did. It was too tender they could almost feel their tears welling up.
Akashi bit his bottom lip before whispering the words, "I love you, Tetsuya. I love you too much that I was so overjoyed when I heard your voice in the grocery store and when you suddenly appeared before me…You're too important to me…Can't you see that?"
Yusei just silently watched as the two smaller guys continued to talk before him. This is the greatest love I've ever seen…I'm no match with that.
With trailing tears, Kuroko lifted his hand and touched Akashi's cheek to assure if what he was seeing was what he really was seeing. Akashi was crying. Crying like he had seen the very important person for him after looking for that person for his entire lifetime. "Sei-kun…" He mumbled and leaned his forehead with Akashi's.
"Kuro-chin~" Murasakibara greeted and patted Kuroko's head.
"Kurokocchi!" Kise whined and hugged Kuroko tightly which made the teal-head wince and which was also the cause why Kise ended up flying into the fountain.
"You sick bastard. Never make us worried like that again." Aomine growled and pinched Kuroko's arm. He earned a stomach-chop with it though and regretted it afterwards.
"Make us search for you again and I'll tangle with at Akashi's house with my current lucky item: a rope for suicide." Midorima proudly proclaimed.
"I shall keep your warning in mind." Kuroko seriously muttered which made the others laugh.
Akashi sighed and wiped Kuroko's tears away. "Stop being so witty, Tetsuya." He grunted and smirked.
"But—"
Everyone's fun though was suddenly cut out when a voice shouted, "TETSUYA! WATCH OUT!"
And suddenly Yusei was pinned down by a stranger, who was holding a knife onto Yusei's neck, and Kuroko was lifted off his wheelchair and strangled painfully by an ocher-head.
Correct! It's Haruhiko Keiji and his signature rapist grin.
"Hiya, looks like I missed a lot, ei?" The hazel-eyed mumbled and lifted Kuroko up high as if he was weightless.
Being pinned down by some stranger himself, Akashi grunted, "How the hell did you get out…?!"
"Well, I paid some cash and tadaaah~ I'm free!" Haruhiko proudly proclaimed.
"Tetsuya! Let go of Tetsuya, you bastard! You asshole!" Taiki growled as he squirmed out of his capturer's hands. "You're not really our cousin, are you?! I saw you! I remember that laugh and voice! You're the person who chased after Tetsuya when you've finally caught me and my parents! Y-You're the one who took advantage of him!"
With his brother's announcement, Kuroko looked down at his cousin and realized the truth.
He placed the small disks inside his shoes and ran faster. He was about to take a turn when one of his chasers got hold of his wrists. "NO!" He yelled and squirmed.
The other laughed and dragged him towards the empty alley which they passed by. Not that every alley wasn't empty. This was an abandoned area, a forbidden area to be precise and no one passed by here anymore.
Suddenly he felt his shirt being lifted. He struggled, but instead his molester laughed and he felt like something sharp was inserted into his flesh and he started to feel woozy.
"That made you quiet…Now, now, how will I begin…?"
"TETSUYA!" He heard his brother shout. "Snap out of it! Tetsuya!"
That's when he took control of his body, even how hard it was and squirmed as the other started to bite his neck and trail his hands around his body.
"L-Let me go…!" He hissed.
"You're so damn annoying." The guy before him grunted, inserted his hand in his pants and roughly inserted one digit inside the teal-head's entrance.
"YAAAAHHH!" he gasped.
"That will make you obedient."
"N-No…P-Please…"
His molester licked his lips and inserted the second one. Kuroko gasped and started to cry in pain as the other started scissoring his entrance. "No…No…Haa…Haaa….NO!" he yelled as he felt the other getting hard and lowering his zipper. "No…NO!"
"Tetsuya!" Akashi's shout brought him back in reality and he realized that he was crying once again. Not in pain, but because of the memories.
"…Sei-kun…" He cried and reached for the red-head.
"Tell me where you hid the disks, you asshole!" Haruhiko grunted as he tightened his hands around Kuroko's neck.
Aomine and Akashi glanced at each other and held their tongues.
"I…won't tell you…I-It's a secret…"
"Tetsuya!" Taiki shouted and squirmed more. "YOU BASTARDS! LET GO OF MY BROTHER! LET HIM GO!"
"You dumbasses…" Yusei grunted, snapped and kicked the guy who was pinning him down and drew his gun. "Let him go."
The maroon-head gasped when at the same moment as he did, Haruhiko drew his own gun and pointed it at Kuroko's head. "Oh? Are you brave enough?"
Slowly, the ocher-head was pushing the trigger of the gun in his hands and shouts were heard all around them.
"Don't do it!"
"Don't you fucking pull it!"
"No! Don't!"
"Don't you dare it!"
With shut and exhausted eyes, Kuroko suddenly heard someone groaning and then exclaims he couldn't seem to understand.
"…Oi, what…don't.…Idiot…!" Was that Aomine?
"…Don't do it, are you out of your mind?!" That was Midorima, wasn't it?
"…What are you doing, get back here! Don't!" That's surely Kise.
"DON'T!" For the first time, he heard Murasakibara shout.
Suddenly there was the fire of a gun, and since it sounded so near, Kuroko was somewhat sure it was Haruhiko's…but he wasn't feeling any pain…Why was that?
And why did he unexpectedly fell on the ground?
"AKA-CHIN!/AKASHI!/AKASHICCHI!" He heard his former teammates shout in despair and that's when he found his strength and opened his eyes. His eyes widened upon seeing pool of blood right beside him. He looked up and found Yusei running after Haruhiko…and beside him with side bleeding too much because of the gun's bullet…

PLEASE REVIEW, REVIEW, REVIEW!
SNEAK PEEK:
Kuroko frowned and rested his back at the backrest of the wheelchair. It was already bad that he couldn't walk properly. It made it worse when it seemed like he caused nothing but trouble to everyone.
"I'm so exhausted…" He complained and slumped back into his seat.
He started to roam around the living room since he was quite bored when he saw something shiny and approached it. That's when he realized that it was a shining and sharp blade. It looked like Yusei forgot about it.
He was about to ignore it when—
"You worthless junk. You're the cause of all of these. Why not die yet, you asshole."
Kuroko returned in facing the shining object and lifted it. He stared at it before shutting his eyes and slowly let it touch his wrist.
"Die. No one will care."
A/N: Hahaha, wait, why am I laughing? Anyway…is it just me or this is quite angst-y?
