AN: Hello everyone. Here's the new chapter. The song is Wish You Well by Bernard Fanning.

This one was a request from IDoThisToPassTheTime. I hope I did alright with it and gave whatever idea you had justice! Also, I've never written Australia before so I hope he was okay.

Important: Jett is Australia and Liam is New Zealand. I had no idea what to do for New Zealand so I just went to popular names and chose one.

Disclaimer: Hetalia belongs to Hidekaz Himaruya. The song belongs to Bernard Fanning.

Jett leaned back in his chair. He glanced around the room, only half listening to Ludwig's speech. He tapped his fingers, wondering when he should pull out his music. The meeting was only… His eyes shifted towards the clock. It was maybe a quarter of the way through and he was already bored out of his skull.

Liam was sitting quietly next to him, his posture completely the opposite of his own. He was trying to listen to the speech, but despite this the Aussie could see that he was starting to grow bored himself.

Alright, it was decided. He reached into his pocket and retrieved his phone. He paused for a moment after. He didn't have any earphones, did he? Damn, he never thought these things through.

Wait… Jett turned his head slowly towards the New Zealander. Would he have earphones?

After a moment he merely shrugged to himself. It was worth a shot. "Hey, Liam."

His neighbor didn't even turn his head. "Liam. Hey. I know you can hear me." There was nothing. "Liam. Liiaaam."

Finally, the brunet turned his head. He looked slightly annoyed, but also slightly relieved. "Yes?"

Jett smiled. "You got any earphones?"

He watched as Liam's eyes immediately narrowed. "What are you planning?"

He laughed softly. "Oh, come on. It's not like I can ruin the whole meeting. I just want to sing something."

Liam didn't change his stance on the matter.

"Arthur did it. Even Gilbert did it." He saw that the other was starting to give. "And you have to admit this is boring. Even just a little bit."

Liam paused. "Alright." He bent down slightly, as to not be noticed by the German talking, and grabbed a black cord from his bag. "Here."

The Aussie grinned and happily took the pair of earphones. "Thanks mate." He stuck the both of them in his ears and waited. Alright, let's play how many seconds to get caught. One… two… three…

Hmm. Ludwig was getting slow. Four… Five… Six… Se-

"Jett."

There we go. He took an earphone out and smiled at the German, ignoring the stares of everyone else. "Yes?"

"Later."

He meant the song, right? Not the lecture? He could have meant both, but… Yeah, he wasn't sticking around for that.

The last speech giver had returned to their seat. Jett sat happily as he waited for Ludwig to give him the go ahead. He liked his song and really wanted to show it to the other nations. They might not appreciate it, but oh well.

He felt Liam's eyes on him. His neighbor was probably curious as to what song he had chosen.

"You'll see." He whispered, finding it almost funny that he wasn't the one being impatient.

Liam merely nodded and soon enough Ludwig had gathered everyone's attention. "Alright." The German began slowly, "Go ahead." He seemed tired of the whole ordeal now. His anger had fallen to annoyance. That took a little fun out of things, but not out of the big picture.

Jett nodded and placed his phone on the table. After a quick smile at the others, he turned the volume all the way up and pressed play.

A guitar filled the room and a few seconds later the lyrics started. Jett's smile widened as soon as they began. "Up so early feel so bright."

His head was already nodding to the music and his fingers were tapping against the table. He didn't care what anyone thought. "Didn't get much sleep last night." After a moment he shrugged to himself and glanced at the other nations with a 'you know, it happens' look as he sang, "Freight train rattled through my head."

"Whistle blowing love is dead. Is dead." Jett laughed softly. Some of the others, more specifically Arthur, were giving him odd looks. This was so much fun.

There was a short pause and he continued, "Heart attacked by fear and doubt." He looked up and met the eyes of everyone who had sung thus far.

"Won't be long 'til the truth comes out." To his surprise, a few nodded a little in response.

Next, he turned towards Alfred and grinned as he sang, "First impressions never last." The American shrugged and smiled almost sheepishly at him. It was true. The impression he had made would shift soon enough.

"Lover's bonds they hold so fast." Jett leaned over through the short break that followed. He whispered to Liam, "Sing with me."

Th brunet looked at him oddly. "No."

"Bet I can sing better than you."

"No, you can't."

"Yes, I can."

Liam was silent for a moment, but then he shook his head, smiling slightly. "It's your song. I'll let you prove it."

The Aussie grinned at the challenge. "Restless future burning bright." He didn't sing louder just yet. He was waiting for a specific line. The next line, despite not being the one he was looking for, came out different. It deflated him a little.

"The past is holding on so tight." Oh yes, it certainly was. For all of them.

After a pause his opportunity came and his smile had returned, his voice growing louder every second. "Never heard the warning bell." He carried out the last word and smirked at Liam, who only looked amused.

"And I just want to wish you well." He really did, though. He looked at the nations once again, those who had sung and those who hadn't. "I just want to wish you well."

The next set of lines came quickly, and he thought of his home when he heard them. "Welcome swallows dip and swing." Could he use the next lines for something? Oh! Yeah, he could.

Jett looked from Feliciano to Matthew to Alfred to Antonio. They usually seemed like the ones to start it off. The recording was clapping. He knew they could hear it even if it did blend in. "Take their cue from the slightest thing."

He saw their eyes widen. Yes! They had gotten it. Moments later claps started to form, however disorganized. They caught on soon enough, however. "Rolling fog into my room." He decided to clap with them.

"Why'd you give up on me so soon? So soon."

There was an instrumental and they made their claps louder. Jett chuckled when he saw Ludwig's face, but soon he had to return his attention to the lyrics.

"Restless future burning bright.", he repeated. "The past is holding on so tight."

He smiled again when the chance came to hold out a line. "Never heard the warning bell and-" He shifted his gaze to different nations as he sang,

"I just want to wish you well." Ludwig. "I just want to wish you well." Matthew. "I just want to wish you well." Feli. "I just want to wish you well." Liam.

He paused and when the next line came he elbowed the New Zealander, causing him to jump. "Why'd you give up on me so soon?"

He looked towards Arthur, smiling all the while. "Why'd you give up on me so soon?"

More nations joined in with the clapping. Jett clapped louder with them. "I just want to wish you well. I just want to wish you well."

The guitar faded and the music died down. A few nations hadn't stopped clapping and they slowly came to a stop as they realized that the music was over.

Jett stood and bowed slightly like he had given a grand performance. "Thank you all." Then he laughed and met Ludwig's eyes. "Can we go now?"

He glanced up, almost surprised to see the two North American brothers walking towards him. He had been about to walk out of the room, having just managed to get all of his things together. "Hey." He greeted.

Both of them smiled, but Matthew was the one who spoke. "I liked your song."

The Aussie grinned. "Thanks mate. I liked yours." He paused. "Oh, and nice pact you two have going on."

The brothers nodded, not surprised that someone had picked it up.

Alfred took out his phone. "Got any other songs we might be able to use?"

Jett grinned. "Sure. Either of you have any for me?"

They nodded. "Plenty."
