Sunday past quickly with no big highlights. Gibbs decided the beach was due today. We stayed for a few hours, he sat in the sand, while I ran back and forth from the water. The team was over once more, only this time it was indoor meal and movie night. Gibbs had the fire place going. Tim and Ziva sat on the love seat, wrapped in the blanket. Tony sat on the floor with his blanket, having beaten to the couch. Gibbs sat in his recliner, with me on his lap. I was too big, which meant my legs draped from one end. The middle of my body on his lap, and my head hung from the other end. Yet I wouldn't have been comfortable any where else.
The next morning, we arrived at the office a little later than usual. Traffic had been bad and Gibbs's car had not wanted to start. I glanced up to see Vance and Crest talking at the catwalk. Giving a small growl, I slipped under Gibbs's desk. As long as he didn't come near me or the team, we were fine. I was hoping today would be an easy day, but just as I was about to doze off, I heard Tony walk in. Seeing him drop his bag at his desk, I frowned as he scanned the bullpen. He quickly ran over to Ziva's desk, sat down and began to type away on her keyboard. Crawling out from under the desk, I trotted over to him. He was currently trying to gain access into Ziva's emails.
'Back off.' With a small growl, I grabbed ahold of his sleeve and pulled.
"Hey! Let go!" Shrugging me off, he continued. Just before I could grab him again, I heard Ziva and Tim walking in. Tony jumped away, but not quick enough.
"What are you doing?" Ziva demanded, as she took a seat at her desk.
"Uh, nothing, I was, uh…lost a contact." Tony stuttered.
I scoffed. 'That is the lamest lie ever. Not to mention old.'
"Uh, where? On Ziva's keyboard?" Tim teased.
"You do not wear glasses." Ziva snapped.
"Maybe I started." Tony repeated.
"Maybe your lying." Tim added.
Tony gave him a look. "Maybe you should butt out McThird-wheel." Jumping at the snip I gave him. "Will you stop."
Ziva quickly gained access into her computer. "What were you looking for Tony?"
"I am sorry that's classified."
Ziva scoffed, looking up at him. "You were trying to access my email."
i watched in amusement as Tony nervously twirled the paper in his hands. His voice breaking, with a slight nervous laugh. "How do you know that?"
"Because McGee installed a security system, on my desktop very hi-tech, by the way." Ziva smirked.
Tim laughed, almost gloating. "You got caught red handed."
"I got what?"
Suddenly a video of Tony popped up. It showed him not minutes ago trying to gain access into her computer. "There!" Ziva yelled. "Guilty as charged. So what were you looking for, Tony?"
Knowing this was simply an act of jealously from Tony, I decided to crawl back under the desk. Those two really didn't know when to stop. After a few moments Gibbs walked into the bullpen, hollering about a death petty officer. Running towards the elevator, I waited for the others. I must have missed the newly changed schedules as Ziva joined us in the car. The only time I ever sit in the back, was when Tim rode with us. Other than that I rode in front. Not that I minded, Ziva kept busy, petting my neck and chest the whole ride.
We arrived at an empty house, with a for sale sign in the front. 'This house will not sale anytime soon.' Trotting after the team, I nearly gagged at seeing the dead body of the officer floating in the nasty spa water. I really felt bad for Tim. Gibbs ordered him into the nasty water to fish out their dead marine. I decided this wasn't something I wanted to see, so I went off to explore. Getting the scent of what smelled like gun powder, I followed the trail to find a bullet round lodged in a tree trunk. After they packed and loaded the dead marine, we headed back to the office. I basically slept through the entire day. I wasn't much help anyways, there wasn't much a werewolf could do in this scenario.
The next morning Gibbs had been called into Leon's office. I stayed below, but the second I took a long whiff of the room, I froze. 'No way! He can not be here.' Looking around I tried to find the source. I knew that scent. I would never forget that scent ever. Hearing Gibbs walking back down, my heart almost bursted out of my chest. His voice.
"Charming Facility."
'Elston!' Turning around, I watched him walk into the bullpen with Gibbs. 'Oh my god!'
"Agent Gibbs." Elston called, gesturing to the team. "Is this your team?"
Gibbs sighed, annoyance detected. "Everybody. Peter Malloy. Major, British Royal Marines."
'Peter Malloy?'
Ziva was the first to greet him. "Ziva David."
He held her hand, studying her. "Now…Israeli. Tel Aviv. Do I detect a trace of Haifa Coast?"
Ziva grinned. "Very good. North London."
I couldn't help, but roll my eyes at Ziva's look towards him. Tony slowly walked towards him, probably trying to intimidate the man. He has no idea who he is dealing with.
"Ah, precisely yes." Without missing a beat, he turned to Tony and greeted him. "Pleasures all mine, mate."
"Anthony Dinozzo." He slammed his hand into Elston, giving Ziva a look.
"My brother's name is Anthony. Best man at my wedding." He quickly casted a look to Ziva. "It was a previous marriage, of course."
Ziva chuckled. "Of course."
Elston turned to Tim. "And who might you be, sir?"
"Oh, I am special agent Timothy McGee."
"Oh, an irishman." Elston gasped. "Well, I promise, I won't hold that against you."
"And this is our K9 Luna." Ziva said.
Elston turned, his eyes locking with mine. I could see the struggle in them. He wasn't sure if it was really me. Not knowing how I could let him know it was me, I tossed my head back and howled. I could hear his heart beat speed up. "Beautiful." Dropping on one knee, he held his hand out.
Without a second of hesitation, I bolted into his arms. Burying my head in his chest, inhaling his scent. I knew the others would be surprised at my behavior. But ever since he left years ago, I have longed to see him again. Pulling back, he gently petted my head. "Hello beautiful." Looking into his eyes, I whimpered at not being able to speak. I wanted to tell him just how much I missed him, needed him.
"That's odd." Tim mumbled.
Elston refused to look away. "What is?"
"She never runs towards strangers." Ziva said.
"Yeah, unless she is looking to tear them apart." Tony grumbled.
Elston smirked at the statement. "Well she does seem like the fierce kind. Loyal. One of a kind."
'I missed you.'
Leaning to down, he made it look as if he was going to kiss my head. "What happened to you Alex?" I could only reply with a whimper. "We need to talk."
"Malloy…beat it." Gibbs snapped.
"Not so fast." Vance walked into the bullpen. "SecNav has granted NCIS permission to aboard the Sparrow-hawk."
Malloy stood up, yet his free hand played with my neck. "Yes, well, I shall need to get clearance from fleet commander in London. You understand. It's a formality."
"Long as it doesn't take time." Gibbs snapped.
I sensed Elston tense, ready to back fire at Gibbs. Leaning against his leg, I nibbled on his sleeve. Lucky vance jumped in.
"Agent David. Have you ever been to Zurich?"
Ziva frowned. "Several times."
"Good. Today you're Switzerland, between England and the U.S."
"Boss, Abbys needs you." Tony mumbled. Gibbs tossed Malloy another look, before leaving.
Elston gave me a gentle nudge, before turning to Vance. "Would you be so kind as to, tell me where the restroom is?" Vance pointed to the doors ahead of us. "Thank you." Seeing no one was paying attention to me, I slipped into the bathroom, just as he walked in. "What are you doing here love?"
I narrowed my eyes at him. 'Can't talk idiot.'
He chuckled. "Right." Kneeling down once more, he pulled me into a tight hug. "You have any idea how much I have missed you?" Pulling back, he smiled. "I even went as far at to call Derek. When you didn't call or write, I panicked. But I was out on an assignment." Growling I pulled back, only to have him grab my face again. "Listen to me. This is my last assignment love, I am done with all of this." Nudging him with my head, I curled somewhat in his lap. "I know you have always wanted to see London, maybe now I could show you. Without any risk of you getting hurt." My smile dropped somewhat. I was going to have to tell him. He of all people didn't deserve to hold onto to some one that can never love him. At least not as strong as he does me. "Take you to that one place I told you about. My childhood farm." Looking at his watch, he frowned. "Listen to me. I have to go, but I will come back alright? We have a lot we need to talk about." Giving me a quick kiss on the head, he opened the door and walked out. I was at a lost with what to tell him.
The rest of the day was a bit lazy for me, as always. That was until I spotted Tony and Ziva bring in Elston in handcuffs. Jumping to my feet, I rushed after them growling behind him.
Tony tossed me a look. "What is the matter with her?"
"She probably smells a British rat." Ziva smirked.
Elston chuckled. "I have done nothing wrong."
Ziva and Tony took him into one of the interrogation rooms. Just as they were walking away, I blocked them from leaving.
"Luna out the way." Tony mumbled. When I didn't move, he tried to move me. That just earned him a snap. "What is wrong with you?" Trotting over to Elston, I licked his wrist as the handcuffs dug into his skin. "Seriously?"
Ziva sighed, but took the handcuffs off. "Can we offer you anything to drink?"
"Tea please." It didn't take long for an agent to bring him the cup and tea bag. "Thank you."
As they left I stayed behind. Walking over to him, I grabbed his arm in my mouth and lowered it. Licking his wrist, I made sure all the red marks were gone. Now I have come to adore my team, but they were wrong in thinking he had anything to do with this. Elston may be dangerous and arrogant in times, he was actually one of the sweeties men I ever knew. 'I wish I could heal it.'
Elston chuckled softly, almost as if he knew what I was trying to say. "Hey, its fine. It will heal quickly." Running his free hand over my head, I sighed deeply.
Gibbs walked in at the moment, dropping the file on the table. "Luna out." I growled softly, staying by his prisoners side. "Out!"
Elston whispered, just low enough for me to hear him. "Go, I will be fine love."
Giving Gibbs a small growl, I trotted out of the room. But I didn't leave, instead I laid at right in front of the door. I couldn't see what was happening, but I could hear what they were saying.
