The class was buzzing with excitement. Everyone in the village heard about how Mizuki was infected with a virus that corrupted Orochimaru. Many would apologize to Anko who would just ignore them saying when they fix her sensei, they can apologize to her.
Naruto would walk in his fangs glistening as he waved at his classmates sitting next to Sakura and Sasuke.
"Hng. Naruto I heard about how you fought Mizuki. Still doesn't matter to me. I'll crush you in a fight. " Sasuke would say an amused look on his face as Naruto would growl
"Yeah sure things teme. How about you say that to my face when we fight"
The two boys would butt heads and then laugh as Sakura would roll her eyes.
Iruka would walk in, his hair all messy and eyes bloodshot from staying up all night staying with Mizuki in the hospital.
"So...as you probably heard. Mizuki-sensei was infected but I want you to treat him the same…" Iruka would shake his and then smile.
"Class I'm proud to say you've all passed my expectations. All of you have shown improvement within skill and attitude."
Many would look at Shikamaru who would shrug taking a potato chip Choji offered.
"Alas. I must let you go into the shinobi world. As you probably know from all the instructors who came. It is not just some kind of game. It is going to be harsh out there. You will be close to death, you will be pushed to your limit. You will see people die. But all of you know this. The Hokage personally made changes to the roster in changing tradition here we go.
"Team 7. You will be made up of Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Naruto Uzumaki. Your jounin sensei will be Kakashi Hatake.
Sasuke was happy knowing Kakashi was a strong jonin and would train them. Sakura was slightly nervous going under this team but it quickly went away as she would look at the confidence radiating from her two teammates. Naruto was inwardly screaming with joy being paired up with Dog.
"Team 8. Made up of Kiba Inuzuka, Shino Aburame, and Hinata Hyuuga. Your jounin instructor is Kurenai Yuhi"
Kiba would nod remembering the lessons that Kurenai gave to her class about genjutsus and how to break them.
Shino remained impassive but was satisfied knowing he was with his two best friends Kiba and Hinata.
Hinata was disappointed that she wasn't in the same team as Naruto but would smile at Kiba when he gave her a thumbs up and Shino a nod.
"Finally. Team 10 will be made up of Shikamaru Nara, Choji Akimichi, and Ino Yamanaka. You will be under leadership of Asuma Sarutobi.
Shikamaru would smirk happy he was with Asuma having beating him in every game of shogi and go.
Choji would eat his chips excited to be with their new sensei.
Ino would nod grimacing remembering Asuma's smoking habit.
Asuma and Kurenai would walk in taking their team out as team 7 would sit waiting.
"Naruto? Do you know Kakashi-sensei?" Sakura would ask as Naruto nodded.
"Ye, I call him my ni-san. He's going to be two hours late so you guys wanna go get some food?"
Sakura and Sasuke would look at Naruto if he was kidding but seeing he wasn't all left to go to Naruto's favorite place.
*Two Hours Later*
The three genin were all sitting in the classroom just arriving back. Naruto was holding a steaming bowl of ramen and placed it on the desk just in time for Kakashi to walk inside.
"Ah sorry for being late. An old lady needed my help crossing the street and...Is this for me?" Kakashi would stare at the bowl of ramen as Sakura nodded.
"Yes Kakashi-sensei, Naruto said you'd be late so we got you some food when we went out." Sakura would say as Kakashi would eye the bowl and shrug taking the bowl breaking chopsticks.
"Meet me up on the roof" said the cyclops ninja disappearing in a swirl of leave with the bowl.
"Naruto? Why are we giving him free ramen? I doubt you're doing it just to be nice" Sasuke would say leaving the room.
"Ah~ I ate a lot today. Would be a shame if I didn't pay for it~" Naruto would say in a sing song voice running up the stairs with Sakura.
"Sly Fox" Sakura would say.
"Dumb Kakashi!" Replied Naruto.
(Was that a joke from a movie Naruto?)
"...Maybe"
The whole team would meet up as Kakashi would slurp up the noodles it going through his mask.
"W-w-what?" Sakura would point as Sasuke would sigh accepting his sensei's weirdness.
Kakashi would put the bowl down and eye smile at his students
"The Hokage specifically told me to teach this team. I do know a lot about Naruto but not much about you two brats. So tell your name, goals, dreams, and why you decided to be a ninja starting with...Pinkie" Kakashi would say pointing at the now bristling Sakura.
"My name is Sakura Haruno! My goal is to a strong kunoichi so i can protect those who cannot do it for themselves. My dream...well...to be the next Tsunade! The reason I became a ninja? Well...As you all probably know..My parents were killed in a bandit attack and I couldn't do anything. So...I trained to become a ninja so I could fight…" Sakura would wipe a tear from her eyes as Sasuke would pat her back gently comforting her.
Kakashi would nod (A very good student. She is now living with Sasuke at the complex. They are like brother and sister.)
"You next duck butt"
Sasuke would touch her hair and then growl at Kakashi who would simply eye smile.
"Hng..My name is Sasuke Uchiha. My goal is to find Itachi and find out why he murdered my clan and then settle down. My dream….Hmmm I guess it would be to be the best shinobi the world has ever seen...I guess it's not a dream since it'll be reality. The reason i became a ninja was to get stronger so I can face up against my brother." Sasuke would have a dark look mentioning his brother but a shoulder hold from both Naruto and Sakura would make him smile.
(Sasuke...What a mature boy wanting to find answers instead of mindless killing. The comerdery they display...Maybe I should actually tell them my info…)
"Last and least~ The Masked Fox" Kakashi would say in a mocking voice receiving a laugh from Naruto.
"My name is Naruto Uzumaki or my fighter name "Masked Fox". My goal is to be the best fighter in the world and be the best tag team duo with my tou-san! My dream is to become Hokage so I can keep watch over the people who care about me. I became a ninja to enhance my fighting skill and so I can prove to the ninja world that wrestling and ninja arts can go together!"
Naruto would strike a might guy pose a thumb out and his fangs making a ping noise shining brightly. An unlucky civilian would look in the general direction and scream in pain being blinded. He made a full recovery with his vision fortunately.
Sakura would punch Naruto in the head making him fall over as Kakashi would look at her silently thanking her.
"Well.. Usually I won't tell you much but I have high hopes in this team. My name is Kakashi Hatake. My goal is to make sure you guys are the best team in this village. My dream….eh I guys finding a girl to settle down with and then maybe retire when I get older. The reason I became a ninja is...a little personal but I'm taking over from my father." Kakashi would get a dark look but then would smile
"So now are you guys ready for your final exam?"
"Eh? But we just took it?" Sakura would ask as Kakashi would shake his head.
"Even though it was a much better test, you still have one more test to do with me. It has a 66% chance of failing. So far, every team that I've been with has failed.
Kakashi would look at his students reactions. Sakura was visibly worried, Sasuke had a determined look and Naruto was...smiling? He couldn't tell that mask was freaky sometimes.
Kakashi would take out two bells and attach him to his belt.
"The test is simple. We will head out to the training field. As soon as we head inside, I will set a timer and you must get the bells from me. The one who doesn't get it will be sent back to the academy.
(Ah There We Go) Kakashi would think to himself seeing the worried expression on the children.
"What?!" Naruto would yell out.
Kakashi would simply get up and run on top of the roofs towards the training grounds.
He looked back slightly surprised that Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were quickly following behind catching up.
"Come on Kakashi-sensei. You think we'll just let you have the advantage?" Sasuke would taunt a smirk on his face.
Kakashi would turn away and speed up his students quickly following. As soon as Kakashi's feet touched the border of the training ground, his alarm clock in his pocket started to tick.
The cyclops would bend his body 90 degrees dodging kunais that Sakura threw.
Doing a backflip, he widened his eyes seeing a crater from where Sasuke's foot was.
(W-what the...I didn't think Naruto's friends were this strong too!)
Kakashi would then block Naruto's leg using his arm and then punched forward hitting the Naruto but would widen his eyes seeing it replaced with a log with explosive tags.
Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura would pear into the crater.
"BAKA YOU KILLED KAKASHI-SENSEI!" Sakura would yell but then would turn around with her kunai deflecting a shuriken.
Kakashi jumped out from the tree panting a little but would then pull out an orange book starting to read.
"Sakura...How did you react so fast?" Kakashi would ask turning the page a blush visible over the mask.
"Ah. Sasuke trained me to improve my reaction time by throwing blunt kunais until I could block them. Then he moved onto shurikens,,then senbon. It hurt a lot but it's hella worth it just like this is!"
Sakura would channel chakra to her feet rushing at Kakashi. The jounin would bring his arm to block the attack but widened his eyes doing a replacement jutsis feelings a giant amount of force behind her punch.
The log he replaced with was shattered as Sakura would look around.
Kakashi turned around and saw Sasuke and Naruto both leaping at him kunais in their hands. The jounin kicked Sasuke in the gut and then punched Naruto in the chest both of them flying backwards puffing into smoke.
(Damn. Shadow clones. Should I use my eye?...)
He quickly snapped out of his thoughts and looked down at his tree and saw Sakura running up it.
(Kami! She's fast!) Kakashi would think jumping off the branch as Sakura's fist would come down snapping it.
As she fell, a ladder of Naruto's ,linking their arms, would grab her legs and swing her towards Kakashi.
The cyclops ninja would widen his eyes fall to the ground as Sakura let down an axe kick on his chest.
Kakashi climbed out the crater and touched his belt feeling only one bell. (Alright...Using my eye won't hurt. Besides…) Taking off his forehead protector, he revealed his sharingan much to the shock to his students. (It's been a while since I've had a challenge.)
Naruto would shake his head and with a nod from Sakura, both of them charged forwards chakra lining their feet.
With the help of his sharingan, Kakashi would duck and wave through the flurry of punches and kicks. Seeing an opening, he swept his leg taking down Sakura as Naruto would jump over it. Kakashi, expecting this would direct his leg up.
Hitting Naruto directly between the legs.
Naruto would slowly fall over groaning and crying comically tears flowing down the fox's face.
"Hng..Kakashi-sensei..that was a low blow" commented Sasuke as he flew through hand signs ending on tiger.
"Katon: Phoenix Sage Fire Jutsus!" Sasuke would blow out multiple fireballs while throwing shurikens."
(Sasuke doing these kind of jutsus?!)
Kakashi would fly through his own hand seals and would end on dog.
"Doton: Earth Wall!"
A wall with bulldog sculptures in them would form soaking up the fireballs and shurikens.
Kakashi turned his head to see Sakura helping up Naruto who glared at him.
The wall dissipated and the jounin would side step the flying kick Sasuke sent out countering it with a punch. Before he threw it out, he was forced to block a roundhouse kick from Naruto while jumping up to avoid a leg sweep from Sakura.
(These Kids! Even if I'm holding back they work together like a well oiled machine!)
He would pant as Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke would gasp for breath.
"Ok guys! Let's finish this!" Naruto declared crossing his fingers making more shadow clones.
"Right!" Sakura would say cracking her knuckles
"Hng." Sasuke would simply say pulling out kunais with explosive tags strapped to them.
It was silent with nobody moving. Kakashi eyeing each one. He saw them start to disappear with sakura petals all around him.
Kakashi's sharingan detected the genjutsus quickly dispelling it. He moved his body quickly to the left avoiding Naruto's arm trying to clothes hang him. Kakashi would throughout his own genjutsus on Naruto.
Naruto widened his eyes seeing himself back in the apartment with an angry King. He became close to tears as King would growl at him pulling Naruto's fox mask off.
(NARUTO! It's a genjutsus! It shows a person's worst fear so its not real!)
(Fuck..Arigato Karuma)
The image would fade away as he looked up seeing Kakashi upercut Sakura and blind kick Sasuke sending them both flying away.
Kakashi turned around sensing a spike of chakra. He got a worried face seeing red orange cloak of dark energy around Naruto.
"The fox isn't taking over Kakashi! Don't worry about me! Worry about you! HERE I COME!" Naruto shot towards Kakashi his eyes glowing red and fangs elongating.
Kakashi dodged a punch throwing out his own and widened his eyes seeing Naruto catch it with his left hand. Naruto pulled Kakashi forward and clothes lined his sensei using his arm the man twisting in the wair landing on his stomach. Naruto, sensing Kakashi was about to use replacement, would pin Kakashi down and grabbed the two legs semi sitting down on Kakashi's butt facing away from his opponent. Naruto would pull backwards as Kakashi widened his eyes finding himself in a boston crab hold.
"GIVE ME THE BELL OR I'LL SNAP YOUR LEGS IN" Naruto stopped as the time went off. Sasuke would groan inches away from the bell. All of the students were even more surprised when the Kakashi would dissipate in smoke.
"Well. Looks like you only got one bell. So which of the two of you will go back to the academy?"
Kakashi would say putting his forehead protector back on wiping away sweat.
Sasuke and Naruto would both nod to each other and step away from Sakura.
"No way guys! I don't deserve this! Naruto you're the strongest out of everyone here!" Sakura would say trying to hand the bell over.
"Nah! I'm good I can become Hokage if it means waiting another year in the academy. Besides. It'll be fun being with Iruka and Mizuki again."
Sakura would turn to Sasuke who was smirking with his eyes clothes.
"Don't look at me Sakura-chan. You're very strong and did a lot of work. Besides. I can train you even more if I go back to the academy. My brother isn't going anywhere. I can wait and get stronger so I can beat him."
Sakura would have tears in her eyes clenching her fist around the bell.
"y-you...YOU BAKAS!" Sakura would yell throwing the bell at Kakashi's feet "TAKE YOUR STUPID FUCKING BELL YOU CYCLOPS!" Kakashi would sweat feeling a giant radiation of KI, he swore he saw a shadow of a giant Sakura behind the girl.
"If my friends can't make it! Then I'll wait another year! I've been through too much to leave them hanging"
"Sakura!" Naruto tried to say but Sakura would do a 180.
"NO Naruto! You're my best friends! I'm not going to become genin without you!"
Sasuke would sigh as Sakura would smile gently at him. "Besides. What's the point of being a ninja without your friends by your side. Sasuke would nod and then smile gently at Sakura who would return it.
"That's your final choice?" Kakashi would ask as he was met with three satisfied looks.
"Then I have no choice….But to pass you guys. Congrats."
"Eh?"
"WHAT?!"
"Hng?"
Kakashi would nod at the responses. "Naruto. My old sensei once told me that if you break the rules and laws. You are scum. But he said those who abandon their comrades are worse than scum."
He pointed at a memorial stone with many names on them.
"These are the ninjas who had given up their lives in order for our village's protection and service. My best friend Obito Uchiha gave up his live in order to save mine. He gave me the sharingan as a parting gift between us. I vowed to protect the village as long as I can stand. That is my ninja way. Remember this children. The ninja life is never pure. But you must stand by your ideals."
The kids would think hard about this as Kakashi would then smile.
"I expect great things from you guys. Your team work and power almost rival the sannin as genin. I won't be surprised you guys surpass them as well."
Naruto would smile as Sakura would pump her fist grinning brightly. Sasuke would grin and then sigh in satisfaction.
Kakashi would stare at his students and then think to himself.
(Sensei...Your kid is amazing. This team is just like our own. I promise to be the best sensei like you!)
