Yeah…I'm back! Wait, I updated? IT'S THE SIGN OF THE COMING APOCALYPSE! HIDE YOUR WOMEN, HIDE YOUR CHILDREN! IF YOU DON'T HAVE THOSE, THEN HIDE YOUR ELECTRONICS(which are nearly as important)! Anyway, on to Black Butler matters. The "caste" system used to be (I dunno if it still is) employed in India, and it was basically a more elaborate version of class division. If you were born into a certain caste, then you could not get certain jobs above or below that particular caste. If you were a high caste, then you could pretty much do anything you wanted; however, if you were lower on the scale, sometimes your very existence was nothing more than a (occasionally literal) walking path to the more entitled. It's a very strict system; once you're actually born into whatever specific caste your parents were, you have no way to change it, unless you leave the country. (Or, if you were higher, took a lower job for some weird reason, which is what Agni did)

Subaha's POV:

"The judges will now need a little bit of time for deliberation. And in the meantime, the guests can enjoy any curry they like!" the judge said with a flourish, and I shrugged, elbowing people aside and snatching a few curry buns, starting to munch with single-minded purpose. Rāta meowed at me from Dina's shoulder, and I half turned, seeing her scowling fixedly at the ground, her jaw tense as her eyes shimmered blue, on and off, depending on how the light hit them. She's fraying at the seams…we need to distract her before she blows. "Gee-hai Dina! Have you tried Sebastian's curry, it tastes amazing! Yummy yummy chocolate!" I squealed, shoving a bun in her face as she jerked back, her eyes momentarily blocked out by deep, sapphire blue. "I-!" She paused in her furious retort, then sighed, holding out her hands. "A curry bun would be lovely. Thanks Subaha." she whispered, and I handed it to her, watching as her tense shoulders slowly relaxed, eating the bun with small, appreciative sounds. "He may be a demon but he can sure as hell cook."

'Oh come on! Why can't I have any?!' Rāta yowled indignantly, and before I could answer Śāma reached across Dina's arm and swatted her companion on the nose. 'It'd taste horrible in this form genius, not to mention it'd get all over our whiskers.' she said devastatingly, and Rāta spat at her in answer, lifting a paw to start cleaning her fur daintily. Suddenly a shockwave of semi-familiar power slammed over us, and Dina's eyes went pure blue again as Rāta's and Śāma's shimmered the same color for a split second. I half-turned, instinctively checking the higher power players as my eyes narrowed, seeing that man and the Queen standing and sitting calmly, with Sebastian standing beside them. "-in doing so, you have reinforced a necessary quality between our nation's children and its adults. For that, I thank you. Well done, you have contributed to our great country, sir. Her Majesty is truly appreciative." Asher was saying, and I stiffened as I heard a faintly, familiarly accented voice from the tasting section.

"Don't make me laugh!"

Asher's eyes opened, and we all glanced over our shoulders as my nostrils flared slightly. That same scent from before…it's all over that woman. What the hell was in that spice?! "How you flatter yourself! Equality?! The future? ! Easy prospects for the queen of a rich country to speculate on! But what do you even know?!" The woman, who I faintly recognized as West's wife, slammed her hand across the table, sweeping the curry off it in a clatter of plates. West ran up behind her and grabbed her by the shoulders. "Meena! What are you doing?! You're in front of Her Majesty!" he stammered, and she slammed her elbow into his side. "Move!" He flew into the air with a yelp as we held back snickers. "Restrain her!" a bobby shouted, and I tensed, knives sliding out of their sheaths as the other policemen ran forward. "Shut up! You don't know curry! It is a caste marker!" Meena roared, laying about her with her fists as the men were sent flying.

The Viscount's gasp made me glance towards the stage again. "Oh! Oh! Her legs move with such grace, her hips are amazing! Surely this woman it the goddess Kali personified!" he cooed, and she responded by throwing a bobby at him, bowling him over. Suddenly more men and women around us glowed with the purple-black aura, and we immediately went back to back as both cats jumped down from our shoulders, preparing to do battle. Ciel whirled as we backed towards him slowly. "The Queen!" I glanced over my shoulder, seeing a glowing man attack one of the bobbies guarding Her Majesty. Ciel ran towards her, and I darted off after him, my stride lengthening despite the skirts I was forced to wear. I am not letting some damn zombie-humans take away our only chance at freeing ourselves! I thought with a growl, seeing Ciel halt as two confronted him.

"That smell…that's hatred! Hatred and greed!"

"The stench of the impure!"

"Snuff it out…kill him!"

Sebastian stepped in before I could do anything, batting several of the glowing humans lightly to the side with a soup ladle. "Well, what do you know about that my lord. It seems that Kali has risen." he said with a slightly smug smirk, and Ciel snorted. "If the story is correct, Kali carried around a demon's head. What say you? Shall we disprove the legend then? I order you to stop Kali!" he shouted, and Sebastian bowed slightly. "Indeed my young lord." I cracked my knuckles. 'Dina, let's go for restraining them for now. I dunno if this is completely controlling them or something else.' I thought, and turned, seeing her gripping a knife in each hand, whirling, kicking, and punching as the glowing people were sent flying and skidding across the ground. Well, at least she isn't killing them. I thought with a sigh, noticing Rāta and Śāma bounding through the crowd, Rāta a night-black panther and Śāma in her leopard form.

I raised an eyebrow, seeing Sebastian in a duel with Meena, blocking her angry fists with the soup ladle as she swung at him furiously, repeatedly, with deadly force. "I'll admit it. You are skilled, but you're no goddess." he said calmly, and I ducked the glowing fist of a man in a top hat, laying him out with a solid roundhouse and then sweeping the feet out from under a woman with a lacy choker. Suddenly Agni blasted past me, his hand glowing blue as I smiled faintly. Good to see he's regained his senses and fought alongside Soma, as he should. "I shall assist you!" he said firmly, coming back to back with Sebastian as the demon smirked. "Shall you? You seem to have more energy than normal. Did something befall you?" he asked coolly, and Agni smiled slightly. "Yes. And now, I'm invincible!" Sebastian's lips twitched upward. "Very well. The two on the right are yours."

"Good!"

Dina's POV:
"Hyah!" I slammed my foot into a possessed woman's face, sending her flying into a pillar with a crack. Fear! Sorrow! Pain! Defeat! "Ha!" Another woman was slammed into a bobby as my fist made contact with her chest. Anguish! Impurity! Hatred! Suffering! "Ho!" My eyes gleamed blue in the reflection the plates and glass above me, and I stood still for a moment, my fists trembling as they tightened around the hilts of my knives. The suffering…the curse…spread it…spread it as far as the world can hold…kill…maim…destroy…make them hurt! Make them all burn! I blasted into movement again, ducking under a glowing man's fist, sweeping his legs out from under him and laying him out with a knee to the face, whirling to meet another man with my fist, stopping his screech of rage short, my eyes pure, glowing blue. Make them all feel the pain I feel!

'Dina stop! You're getting too carried away! YOU'RE TAPPING INTO THE DIAMOND, GET OUT!' I didn't care. Sparkling blue surrounded my vision, and my knives started angling outwards, towards the faces and grasping hands of the possessed. Spread the misery! Spread the pain! Spread the destruction! Make them all feel the curse! Show them what cruelty the world can hold! "DINA STOP IT!" I yowled as I was slammed to the ground, trying to shift and turn, only for a knife to be pressed against my throat. 'Stay down Dina. Stay human. You are being sucked too far in, back out and remember. You are the Golden Cat of the Bright Sun, go to the light that you personify.' I slowly relaxed, my snarling sounds dying down as I shuddered a few times, finally managing to tuck my knives back in my sleeves.

I heard a yelling sound and Subaha jumped off, seeing Meena shoot past Sebastian, aiming for the Queen. "No, wait Meena!" Soma cried, jumping in front of her as Ciel started. "No you fool!" I staggered to my feet, shaking my head to clear the last bits of the blue from my vision, running with the others towards the Queen and the rampaging woman. She suddenly slipped and fell on a lobster shell, and Soma blinked, then ran towards her. "Meena forgive me!" he shouted, stomping on her back as my memory jolted. Oh…the goddess Kali was stopped from her rampage by stepping on the body of her husband… "Sebastian! The curry buns! Feed them some of the buns you made!" Ciel shouted, and I gaped at him as Subaha smacked a hand over her forehead. "Certainly." Sebastian said, starting to throw the buns, and my jaw dropped as the people stopped glowing, stopped rampaging, and Subaha nudged me with her elbow, holding out a few of the pastries. "Wanna help?" I rolled my eyes and grabbed them, starting to throw with unerring skill, along with my other humanoid companion.

Well…yeah. I don't really have a lot to say, and the only reason I'm continuing this at all is because I have a duty to finish it, since you guys obviously aren't reading it. No reviews equals no real motivation!
