Hello everyone! I hope you are ready for the next chapter because here it is!

I know I should have posted a chapter a few days ago, but trying to piece all this together has been hard. I have like six plot points to follow right not that will all combine into one. It's kind of like Infinity Wars if you ask me, except Dumbledore will not be getting any infinity stone.

Without further ado, lets get into the story and see what happens next.

*I do not own Harry Potter or any of its Characters*

Chapter 12: Getting Into Contact

October 22, Afternoon

A damp and cold cell was the only place he had known for these five years. The chill of the passing winds and the screams of his neighbors being his only company.

His cousin was in the cell nearby, yelling and ranting about the Dark Lord once more, screaming about how he would kill all 'disgusting mudbloods.' He tuned her out. He was used to doing it.

He felt the cold in his heart increase and the feeling of dread coursed through him once more. They were doing their rounds again.

He wondered if he had enough strength to change right now. He had already done it once today, and the portions he was fed didn't give him the strength to do it too often.

Then again, it was why he could think somewhat clearly unlike the bloke in the cell next door.

He knew it was coming closer and tensed up, knowing that they were coming to drain him of anything joyous in his memories.

Memories of his friends. Prongs, Moony, and his little Prongslet.

He let a few tears fall. He wished he could see the little tike's face. It was be more than enough in his mind. Just to know he he was doing. Just to know his godson was happy and safe.

The cold feeling that approached suddenly backed off and he wondered what drove them away. Nothing pushed those damned monsters away from a meal.

"This job is always the worse. I just hope there aren't any bodies this time." He could barely hear it from the rest of the noise of madness.

Oh great, the bi-monthly check up.

Sometimes those damn creatures get carried away and suck out a person's soul. That meant a new body to clean up and a empty cell to put a new prisoner in.

Joy.

"Hey cheer up, it could be worse. We could be in one of these cells without a patronus."

"Right, too true."

The two grew closer to his cell door as they passed by, the glow from their patronus growing brighter.

"Anyway, have you been keeping up with the news?"

"About what, the Prophet? That stuff is nothing but trash."

"But this has a ton of evidence. Apparently Harry Potter was being abused."

"Really? There's no way that Albus Dumbledore would let that happen."

"Yeah, I thought the same, until I read all the evidence. And what's worse, is that Dumbledore left him in the house that he was abused in."

"Yeah, that's all hogwash. Like the Professor would let anything happen to a kid."

The glow of the wand flashed into his cell.

"Is this one dead?"

"Maybe. He isn't moving."

"Yeah, but I think his chest is."

"Meh, I'll just put that Black's alive. Even if he ain't I don't want to drag his sorry body out of here. Lets go."

He could feel eyes on him. "I wonder if this bastard had something to do with it. Probably bribed the boy's family to torture him after killing his master. A bit of revenge I suppose."

"Let's get going. The faster we get this done, the faster we get off duty."

The light was turned away from his cell, leaving him with his darkness once more.

"Right right. I still need to read today's issue of the Prophet."

"You follow that things words like it's a bible."

"What a bible?"

"It's a muggle book about a giant magic man who grants wishes."

"Really, that's pretty, ridiculous. I wonder..."

The two gaurds walked away, thie voices fading into the distance, leaving the prisoner to mull over their words. He was frozen in his spot, unable to think of anything other than what that idiot of a man said.

His godson. His Prongslet. It couldn't be...

'Harry...is it true?'

The guards were gone now, their spell no longer protecting him from the monsters who craved his happiness. He felt the cold feeling of their approach grow closer.

He didn't transform. He didn't think dark and depressing thoughts to keep them away.

He couldn't find it in his heart to not think about his godson, and how he was doing.

He needed his little Prongslet.

Remus walked up to the very beautiful and sunny home. There were flowers in the garden and several bushes full of fruit. A swing hung from an oak on the edge of the land and the grass surrounding it was trimmed and neat.

It was open but organized. Exactly what he expected.

He felt a tap at his foot and saw a dirty white ball roll onto his shoe. The laughter that followed sounded in his ears. He turned to his left and saw a pair of girls running up to him, looking at him with hope. He smiled and picked up the ball.

"I do believe this is yours." He went to hand the blond girl the ball, had it not been for the hex that was sent his way, forcing him to dodge and drop it.

"Susan, Hannah, go inside this instant." A stern woman called out. The two girls followed the orders and ran away from the man, leaving their ball on the ground.

Remus turned to the owner of the voice and found a wand pointed at his face.

"I knew what you were as soon as you entered my wards. I can have twenty Aurors here in two minutes if need be, so you will explain why you are on my land, werewolf."

Remus was hurt by her words, but it was to be expected. His wolf growled in anger but he ignored it for now. He slowly moved his hands up, showing he was no threat to her.

"I'm sorry I didn't send a letter in advance, but I was hoping to speak with you."

"That isn't the answer I was looking for, now explain why you're on my property getting close to my niece and her friend." Remus slowly removed the cloak that hooded his appearance and stared at her. She looked confused by the action, but her eyes flashed with a form of recognition.

"I was hoping to speak with my old study buddy." There was a moment of pause between the two before she finally connected the dots. Her eyes widened and she put her wand down, though he could tell she was still on defensive.

"Remus? Remus Lupin is that you?" She looked him up and down. " You look terrible." Remus chuckled at her bluntness.

"It's good to see you too Amelia."

-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-

A flash of blue shined in between two house, luckily going unnoticed on the bright and sunny day. Minerva and the rest of the teachers found themselves standing in a little flower garden, the sounds of birds and sprinklers in their ears.

"I thought you said we would land where Potter was. Where is he?" Snape said as he stepped over the tall bushels of daisies.

"Well you don't expect us to land right on top of the boy do you? He's most likely in one of these houses." She gestured to the two houses they were in between. She was confused though. Didn't the Dursleys live in one of those cookie cutter homes?

"Well, lets get this over with. I don't to waste anymore time than is needed." Snape stomped through the small garden, getting a look of disapproval from the Herbology Professor. Sprout healed the battered flowers from their landing and cooed the beautiful plants before following behind the rest of the party.

"Wait, one more thing." Minerva waved her wand over all of them and they found themselves in common muggle clothing, much to Severus's disgust and Flitwick and Sprouts wonder.

"We best fit in while we get young Mr Potter." The group walked out from landing spot and made their way to the house left of them.

"I just realized Minerva, won't Professor Dumbledore know we left Hogwarts. He's keyed to the wards, so he'll know we portkeyed out." Minerva looked to him.

"I thought the same thing, but then I realized several things after we landed. First is that the headmaster wasn't in Hogwarts, so his connection isn't as strong." She looked down is disappointment. " Second, the wards at Hogwarts aren't in the best conditions anymore. I felt us slip through with little problem."

"What do you mean?" Sprout asked.

"Dumbledore doesn't update the wards near as often as he should, and when he does, he's not upgrading them, only altering them to what he wants them to do. Remember how that corrupted spirit broke into the school and almost possessed that third year student?" Flitwick looked confused.

"I thought it got in because it was similar to a ghost." Minerva shook her head.

"Only the Hogwarts ghosts have clearance to the school. The spirit shouldn't have gotten near the walls, let alone inside them." Flitwick balled his fist.

It was one of his students that was almost hurt by that thing. Albus lied to him.

The group walked up the steps and Minerva knocked on the door. They waited a moment before a casually dressed middle aged man answered the door. "Hello?" Minerva smiled politely.

"Good morning sir, we are teachers of a unique school and are wondering if there is anyone by the name of Potter here. A Mr Harry Potter to be precise." The man rubbed the back of his head.

"No, no Potters live here. Though I did see something in the papers about a kid named Potter here in Little Whinging. Something about his family abusing him." Minerva, Flitwick, and Sprout's eyes widened the slightest bit.

"Anyway, sorry, I can't help you. You're welcome to check with my neighbor. She's a teacher so she works with kids all day." Minerva nodded to the man.

"Thank you, have a good day." The man closed his door as the teachers made their way back down the steps.

"Minerva..."

"I know Filius." Minerva didn't like how all this was sounding.

Severus Snape was not showing it, but he was thinking about Lily. More specifically, all the times she was reduced to tears by her sister. Harry's relative.

They walked up the steps of the home of the apparent teacher. They all took in the detail of the home, like the painted flowers on the door and the greenery that surrounded the home.

Minerva knocked on the door, waiting along with the rest of them as the host of the home made it do the door. The tapping of feet grew closer.

They found the door opened up by a tiny child who looked no older than four or five. He was wearing a green shirt and blue shorts and had a shaggy rats nest of raven hair.

But what caught them was the shining green eyes that stared with hope.

"Hello, how can I help you?" The boy asked politely.

"Harry, I can get the door, you don't need to do that here." The boy flinched and the four of them caught it. They also took into account his name.

"I'm sorry Miss Mayfield, I won't do it again." Behind the boy came a young looking woman with brown hair and hazel eyes wearing a grey blouse with blue pants.

"Harry, there's nothing to apologize for, okay? I know you opened the door at the other house, but it's not a job you're required to do here. You didn't do anything wrong." The boy smiled a little and nodded. She gave smile back picked up the tiny child, who snuggled into her arms.

"How can I help you today?" She asked the group, who found the look of the two to be very adorable.

"Eh hem, I apologize for this inconvenience, but we are teachers from a unique school and have some questions regarding a child by the name of Harry Potter." The smile on the woman's face was gone in an instant and the boy turned his head looked at them with confusion.

"What do you want with him?" She asked none too kindly. "If you work for that Bumbledore man, then you won't be touching a single hair on his head." She backed away from the group of teachers, who were surprised that she knew who Dumbledore and how she was reacting.

"We are teachers at Hogwarts and only wanted to make sure that Harry was being taken care of by his family." Sprout put in. She saw the boy tense up in the woman's arms.

"I don't want to go back." He whispered, tears building up in his eyes.

"It's okay Harry, you'll never go back to them ever again." The woman told him as she rocked him in her arms, backing further away from the Hogwarts teachers.

"B-But they're here to bring me back. They'll take away, a- and Aunt Petunia and Uncle V-Vernon will p-punish me for g-getting them in trouble." The boy cried into his teacher's shoulder as the Hogwarts faculty felt their hearts break.

Even Severus look affected at the moment.

"If you want Harry then you'll have to go through me. I refuse to let anyone take him back to an abusive home." Minerva bit her tongue. So it was true.

"We're will not be taking him anywhere." She started, getting looks from both child and homeowner. "We just want to know the truth. We came here to figure out if what was being said in the news was true, that Harry was not being taken care of by his family."

There was a moment of pause between the two groups, Miss Mayfield not knowing whether to believe them or not and the teachers not wanting ti frighten the child anymore.

"Alright, if you're really here to only make sure Harry is being taken care of, then you won't mind me making a call."

"Not at all."

-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-

"Albus. the people are going mad! People are questioning your credibility and are expecting me to do something about it." Fudge said as he paced back in forth in front of his desk.

"Fear not my friend, I'm sure this will all blow over as soon as they learn that it's all false." Dumbledore said genial, hoping to calm the man down.

"While that would be all well and good, you still have yet to prove these claims wrong. People want answers that I don't have. They want to see Harry Potter and know the boy is alright." Albus was getting tired of all this. He had been here for thirty minutes and all it has been was this oaf of a Minister complaining about what was going on.

He had yet to provide a single form of solution, only asking the Headmaster to do so.

"Fear not my dear friend. I have Harry and he is doing just fine. I cannot show them though, as it would give any former death eaters a chance at his life. I don't want the child hurt because of this." He said in mock concern.

"Then what about the bank statements? I hate those damn little creatures, but they don't fall short when it comes to galleons. They've shown proof that you've withdrawn millions of galleons from the Ancient House of Potter. Where is that money?" Fudge asked hysterically.

"I have placed it in different vaults that Harry has access to. I fear there may be a spy within Gringotts hoping to go after the Potter vaults. I've been moving bit by bit of it into other areas to protect the gold they're after." Albus lied through his teeth.

"A spy you say? Maybe I can use that to pass the new legislation on goblins, showing they aren't to be trusted to garner more votes." Fudge said happily.

There were dozens of old family vaults that were untouched for years due to the families dying out or waiting for the heir. Money that the Ministry was dying to use, but couldn't due to those little monsters.

Fudge was practically salivating over what he could buy with all that gold. If the goblins lost their rights as bankers, then it was all his.

Dumbledore had the same idea, but more along the lines of the magical artifacts that were sure to be in the depths of Gringotts. The Potter Vaults had many useful books, but it wasn't enough. That, and he was sure that Gringotts would be magically collecting them from him soon due to the sealing of the vaults. Then again, it wouldn't matter if this bill was passed.

Scriptures from Merlin and LeFay themselves, just waiting for him to learn from them and use the spells hiding within. The power he could have at his fingertips.

"I will make sure to side with you on this legislation. After all, as Chief Warlock, it is my job to make sure the Wizarding world is protected and safe." Dumbledore said with a smile.

All for the Greater Good.

-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-

"I must say Juliet, you don't do anything by halves do you. When I got your call about four wizards somehow finding your home, I wasn't expecting the four Head of Houses from Hogwarts." Barton said as he got out of his car and looked at the group of teachers.

He had just finished writing a letter to someone very important to their cause, someone who could help pull the chair out from under Dumbledore, only to find that everything could go to hell should these four be here to ruin it all.

"Wonderful, another muggle that knows of the Wizarding world." Snape drawled out.

"It's good to see you too Professor Snape. And no, I'm not a muggle, but a muggleborn." Barton stated. "You as well Professor Flitwick, how are the new Claws." The man smiled a bit.

"They are doing fine, though I have some who are a bit homesick." Barton nodded.

"I was the same way when I first started. Just make sure to help them through the transition." The Ravenclaw head nodded.

"Now I wonder why the Head of Houses are all the way in the muggle world looking for Harry Potter. I'm guessing your not here to kidnap him for Dumbledore or you would already be gone."

"We have nothing to do with the Headmaster, we came on our own accord. As teachers, it's our job to make sure children are taken care of, even if they aren't students yet." Barton looked at Minerva. He didn't know why, but he felt like she knew something about the abuse. He would push into it later.

"Alright, I suppose we should talk inside, as long as it's okay with Juliet." Mayfield paused for a minute, looking from Harry to Barton before she nodded her head. The five newcomers entered the little home, taking in the details of the interior and how warm and welcoming it was. They could smell something delicious too.

They made it to the living room/ kitchen and Mayfield sat down on the couch, Harry being moved into her lap. The rest of them found spots on the loveseats or standing. Barton stood in front of all of them.

"Now before we start, I must ask all of you to swear on your magic to not reveal anything said here today to anyone else. Do you understand?" The teachers nodded, each one going through a phrase that swore they wouldn't reveal any information about today to anyone. The golden rings surrounded each of them as they swore their plegde, getting wide eyes from Mayfield and the boy in her lap.

"Now that that is taken care of I must ask." Minerva began. "What is your relation to Mr Potter?" She asked the young teacher.

"My name is Juliet Mayfield and I am his schoolteacher." Harry snuggled into her.

"How did a schoolteacher, a muggle one at that, gain possession of Harry Potter?" Snape asked, noticing the very close bond they seemed to share.

Mayfield gestured to Barton, who walked over and she whispered in his ear. "Is there a way so Harry won't here any of this? I don't want him to relapse under the mention of his family." Barton nodded. "I have a spell that will cancel his hearing for a little while." She smiled at the attorney. "Thank you Daniel."

She then looked at Harry in her lap, not noticing the tiniest blush that touched Barton's cheeks. "Harry, I'm going to make it to where you don't hear any of this okay."

"W-Will it hurt?" She shook her head.

"No, it won't hurt, I just don't want you to hear this because I might say things that could scare you. Do you trust me and Mr Barton?" Harry looked at the two before nodding a bit. Barton pulled his wand and gently cast the mute spell over Harry's head. He snapped his fingers right next to Harry's ear, who didn't respond in the slightest. He nodded to her before going to sit back down.

"Now, I suppose I should start from the very beginning..."

-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-;-

"Neville, you better not track dirt into the manor again."

"Y-Yes Grandmother." Augusta sighed as she walked to the front door of the manor to check on her grandson. She loved Neville with all her heart, but it was like the boy was born with a green hand.

He loved the flowers and flora that grew in the greenhouses, often trying to plant more of his favorites in their. He would even pass up etiquette classes and lessons to be in there.

It was quite troublesome for the old Longbottom.

To make matters worse, it was getting on her Brother- in- Law's nerves. Algie often rants about Neville and how he has yet to show any magic and that he is not being a proper Longbottom.

She saw Neville enter the house, his shoes taken off and his arms cleaned up. Though his pants were still a muddy mess. He turned to her and gave a hesitant smile, which she nodded back at.

While she can agree with Algie to some extent, she refused to let him try to force magic out of the boy. He was still growing and such actions might stunt him forever. Algie complained a bit about her choice, but it was hers to make. Neville was her responsibility.

He still had a few more years before Hogwarts. There was time.

Forcing the magic out of him wasn't what Neville needed. He needed a friend, preferably one that didn't grow in a pot.

She felt the entrance of an owl at her wards and wondered who was sending a letter at this time. She wasn't expecting any letters and there wasn't a session at the Wizengamot for another three days.

The owl entered the high open window, spooking Neville and flying down to the aged woman. It squawked, dropping the letter into her hands before sitting patiently at an owl perch.

Augusta grabbed a letter opener and tore open the envelope. Pulling out the white paper, she didn't recognize the writing but decided it might be worth reading.

Dear Madam Augusta Longbottom,

I do hope you read this letter, as it could mean the difference for the life of a child. This message was bound so that only you may be able to read it, so it is for your eyes only.

As you have seen in the news, Albus Dumbledore has been doing terrible things to a certain child. He has left the boy in an abusive home and has stolen millions from the boy's vaults, and several people including myself are trying to help stop him.

Sadly, we do not have the political power to stop him.

Which is why we have sent this letter to you, as you could mean the difference between Potter's protection or his ruin.

As you may know, Alice Longbottom was made Harry Potter's magical godmother, meaning she was allowed to care for him should his parents fall. While she may be your daughter only in marriage, the fact that she is a Longbottom means that you have some influence over the boy's life, as her title over Harry is still in effect and the Potter/Longbottom Alliance is still alive.

Since you are the current Head of Longbottom, you may be able to help us with a major problem we have with Dumbledore, which is his power of the Potter heir.

I for one know you don't like the man. You may not show it, but your records of voting against him do. Everything he has pushed for, you oppose and any legislation for muggle celebrations added by him are always countered by you, as you are most likely a traditionalist like many purebloods.

Albus Dumbledore has too much power, and we believe we have a way to cut him at the knees.

If you are interested in helping us or in our plan, please come to Gringotts in two days time at 4:00 pm.

Sincerely, Daniel Alias Barton.

Augusta burnt the letter on the spot after reading it. That information will not get out to anyone else now.

So someone wanted her to not only help Harry Potter, the Boy-Who-Lived, but also go after Dumbledore? Albus Dumbledore, the wizard who could pass laws on banning pureblood traditions and get away with it without any backlash and had the Minister in his pocket?

Either they were confident or idiotic.

Though, by what this 'Barton' character has shown, he's good at collecting information and who to contact. Had he informed Algie or his wife, they would immediately go spouting off to the lemon sucker.

But not her. She didn't like what he was doing to the Wizarding World, and apparently someone was paying attention.

He knew information that Augusta barely remembered, like how she vetoed all of Albus's legislation, despite never showing any animosity to him, as least in public.

This man piqued her interest.

Perhaps she would have to go to Gringotts on Friday.

(End Chapter)

Wow...A lot is happening. Dumbles and Fudge are plotting, Barton and Remus are getting more people into the team, Sirius is thinking of Harry, and the head of houses are hearing what happened to Harry! So exciting.

Yes, Amelia is a bit younger in my story than in canon. It helps tie her to the Marauders a bit better, specifically Remus and Lily.

PS, Yes, Barton is Rita's informant for those who were confused.

Anyway, these were the results of the voting.

Will Sirius break out of Azkaban?

Yes- 64

No- 13

So he will break out in a later chapter.

Will Snape put aside his hatred of James to help Harry.

Yes- 42

No- 29

Snape will help, but he will still be in character. He will not suddenly care a whole bunch for Harry, but he will be an ally.

What School Will Harry go to?

Ilvermorny- 35

Hogwarts- 28

OC School- 16

Mahoutokoro- 3

Beauxbatons- 2

Durmstrang- 2

Ilvermorny Wins! He will be going to Ilvermorny, but Dumbledore will use any means to bring Harry back to Hogwarts, like the Triwizard Tournament, or claim that he needs to attend because he is Wizarding Britain royalty, and as such needs to go to Hogwarts for at least a few years. I'll figure it out.

Anyway, I hope you liked the chapter, there is plenty more to come!

Check out the first chapter of my other story too! Runaway savior is out now!

Until next time, see ya!
