Positioning.
Miya walked calmly as she got off the bus, heading towards her decided spot as she smiled, putting up her usual, beautiful aura. Her spot to wait in until further instructions. Her part was rather straight forward in this section of the plan. All she needed to do is stand there keep people away from the back area of the bridge they need to pass over.
Miya, herself, felt flustered. Many years she has had to put on a façade. Never has she ever felt so emotional and out-of-control of her life as she did now. Where was this sudden feeling coming from? Why was she feeling like this?
- I'm in position. Awaiting orders!- The group's ear pieces were all connected. Musubi was ready on the bridge, waiting for the rest of the team.
-That's great, Musubi-tan. Minato-tan, Kaze-tan and I are on our way to the back doors. Will keep you informed- Matsu promptly replied.
"This is Miya, ready when you are" Miya pressed her ear and, after talking, let go of the button. Her hands were shaking. She felt like she was terminating from the inside out.
- Alright, Miya- Homura replied over the earpiece.
Miya found herself seconds later, on the ground. She had begun to lose the fantastic control she had over her body. The teacher that taught both Tsukiumi and Musubi… Was now falling apart from the inside out. The Termination Process had begun.
…
Sitting at his desk, Minaka Hiroto swivelled in his chair, blissfully unaware of the dangers that were approaching his headquarters. Yes, he himself was not based there. But almost everything MBI is based there. 'Let me give Takami a call, see how my beauty is doing on this fine spring day' – Minaka picked up the phone and scrolled through his contacts, found Takami's name and was about to press call when suddenly, his phone hysterically begun to flash and vibrate in his hand. Caller: Takami.
"Hey, I was just about to ca-"
"What do you want." Takami's voice on the other end of the story was as chilling as usual. Blunt and dishevelled.
"I just wanted to know how you were. I had not heard from you all week…"
"It's Monday."
Minaka rubbed the back of his head in amusement for the way this woman had him so head-over. "So, care to tell me what has been happening with my little birdies?"
"Not much. Two of the missing Sekirei have returned and both have been winged by different Ashikabi although they were near-to inseparable before." A loud crash was heard in the background of Takami's end of the phonecall, causing her to growl.
"Which two?"
"24 and 25"
"WHAT? WHEN DID THEY GET WINGED?" Minaka was stunned and surely confused as to how this all happened without his knowledge. And why Takami was ever so calm.
"On your birthday. Anyway, they're still close by. One was winged by my son. The other, by Natsuo. Even though I personally think they should have swapped Ashikabi." Takami continued to speak fast, evident that whatever she was doing was important yet still effortless.
"You're telling me that those two were winged. By different Ashikabi… On my birthday. My birthday was Friday." Minaka sweat dropped, rubbing his forehead in the process.
"How about you come by and meet Tora? She's part of the Squad now… Oh… Kusano-chan, what are you doing here?... Look, I have got to go. See you." Takami ended the call, quicker than she started it.
…
Minato felt a cold shiver run up his spine as he realised that there was little contact with Miya over their ear pieces.
"Can everyone please, confirm your positions" Matsu spoke as her, Kazehana and Minato finally arrived to their destination.
-In position!- Tsukiumi was the first to respond, vigilant and ready for her next orders.
-Yes!- Kusano, who was busy with Minato's mother, had to respond in a way that was fitting for the situation she was in.
-Let's do this!- Musubi responded.
-*cough*- Ekai and Homura's responses were to be kept at minimum; their positions were most detectable and dangerous.
Minato's body stiffened as he realised no response was received from Miya. His skin begun to turn pale as he found it hard to understand his feelings. Why were they so churned? Why was Miya not confirming her position? Why was he getting more goose bumps by the minute?
Matsu turned to Minato and placed her hand on his shoulder. Minato pulled his shoulder away and looked in to the distance. The three were standing on the top of a tall tower in Tokyo, able to see so many things below them. But Minato searched carefully. He saw a woman dressed in green, a school girl with pink pigtails. A white haired male walking in all black. He saw a large yellow parasol with a young brown haired woman underneath it. Minato continued to look, continued to search with his eyes and he saw the Tokyo Tower, he saw the trees, he saw nests of birds filled with chicks. He saw a couple hand in hand, he saw a glass bottle be blown and broken by the wind. He scanned with his eyes, he filtered all things Lilac. He searched for her, and, as Kazehana placed her hand on his shoulder, he felt his entire world go silent as his eyes locked with Miya's from a distance that should have been near to impossible… In a way that they had never seen one another before. And as Minato stepped out, forgetting he was on the edge of a building, Miya fell gently to her knees, landing straight on her chest.
