Hey everyone! This my first fanfic, so be gentle. Based on Shakespeare's play: A Midsummer Night's Dream. The play is a comedy about 4 young lovers that get lost in the woods only to have a trickster (Gajeel) screw everything up, meanwhile the Fairy King (OC) and Queen (Erza) are in a heated debate over the possession of a changeling boy (played by Romeo). Rated T.

12. Chapter 12

Fairy Tail: A Midsummer Night's Dream

Chapter 12: "What Fools These Mortals Be."

"Juvia's on her way, as well as the other Fioran." Gajeel said as he approached Kubo, "Shall we watch? Boss, these mortals are sooo stupid."

Rustle, rustle. The bushes shaked as Natsu chased after Juvia. "They're gonna wake Gray up with all that racket." Kubo remarked, "Then two dudes will be after the same chick," Gajeel stated with an evil grin, "I love my job."

"Come on, Juvia! I'm not makin' fun of you, I swear!" Natsu said, desperately following Juvia, "What am I saying to make you think I'm mocking you? What can I do to make you believe me?"

"You're really starting to annoy me, Natsu." Juvia stated, with an obvious angry tone in her voice. "You should be saying this to Lucy. Are you really going to desert her like this?"

"I wasn't thinking when I said I love her." Natsu pleaded. "You're not thinking now." Juvia replied. "Gray loves Lucy, not you." Natsu said as walked closer to her. "Aaahhhh!" Juvia squeeled as she tripped over an unseen tree trunk onto a sleeping Gray's lap, waking him up. "Oh Juvia…" Gray said, as he saw her face. "My goddess, your eyes are as beautiful as a sparkling sapphire ocean. Your lips are as soft as clouds. Your skin is so soft and fair. Kiss me!"

"Not Gray-sama as well." Juvia thought, as Gray's lips drew closer to her own. "Oh no!" Juvia shouted, as Natsu appeared behind her. "I see. Your all trying to mock me! If you were real men, you wouldn't treat a lady so poorly. You both hate each other, but love Lucy, and now you team up to torment me."

"Yeah Gray! How dare you make fun of Juvia! Now, go find Lucy, she's the one you love." Natsu barked at Gray. "Let's trade. I'll give you all the love I had for Lucy, and you give me your love for Juvia, who I love more than life itself." "Please make it stop." Juvia thought, as she rested her head in her hand. "Keep Lucy!" Gray shouted at Natsu as he punched him in the back of the head as Juvia climbed up a nearby tree. "My heart belongs to Juvia."

"What the heck?!" A shrill lady's voice pierced the night's silence. "There's your love!" Gray and Natsu said at the same time pointing to Lucy as she made her way to them through the trees.
