Chapter 12- Frieza and King Cold

"Alright," Frieza's slimy voice hissed. "Find the Saiyan's friends, and when you do- show no mercy!"

A group of Frieza's men ran out, and Trunks jumped down, a hand already on his sword. Faster than anyone could see, the soldiers froze in their place, a look of shock an pain on their faces before they crumbled to the floor. Pan jumped down as Trunks floated down to the ground. Soundlessly, she stationed herself on a rock just a few feet back from Trunks.

"Ah, so you must be Frieza," Trunks placed his sword in his sheath. The wind howled as the Saiyan continued, "I have been waiting a long time to meet you face-to-face."

"We have a guest," King Cold mused with a small smirk.

Trunks ignored the comment as he looked at Frieza. "Now, I am going to destroy you."

The monster's eyes widdened in surprise before he grinned, "We had best run... Isn't that right, Father...?" He laughed mockingly. "You don't know what you're up against boy!"

"I know excatly what I am up against Frieza," Trunks narrowed his eyes before a small smirk found it's way to his face. "And let me tell you, I'm not worried."

Pan smiled at Trunks' confidence; she had complete and total faith in him. She blushed slightly as her brain pointed out how hot and badass he looked standing there...

"Make no mistake, I am going to finish you once and for all!" The Saiyan declared.

"You sure are an arrogant little thing... Maybe in that hole you just crawled out of you're pretty tough, but you're no match for me. Really, fighting a pitiful punk like you isn't even worth my time..." Frieza mumbled, as if bored.

"Maybe I haven't made myself clear, you are finished Frieza!"

Frieza's eye twitched in annoyance. With a growl he ordered his remaining men to kill Trunks. A green-skinned alien walked up with a blaster as the other men surronded Trunks and Pan.

"I think it is only fair to warn you guys," Pan piped up. "You don't stand a chance against him."

The solider with the blaster aimed it at Trunks, but the Saiyan easily sent it behind him. Many more blast were made towards Trunks, but everyone was reflected away. Mockingly, the Saiyan moved a piece of hair out of his eyes before flying forward and punching the big alien in the jaw; it sent him flying into one of the space ships legs. The other soliders ran to attack; Pan flew up out of the way as Trunks took out his sword. The male Saiyan moved at such speed that the men didn't even realized they were cut until it was too late... Pan landed on the ground beside Trunks, who put his sword in it's sheath.

"Now, it is time for you two to die," he looked at Frieza and King Cold.

"Let me give you some advice," Frieza held a finger up at Trunks. "He who acquires his skills quickly is the first to parish."

"Thanks for the tip," Trunks smirked.

"Why you little-" Frieza spat.

"Now listen up!" Trunks cut him off. "I got one for you- know your enemy. You already made some pretty big assumptions about me. That's a mistake that will cost you dearly."

"You should learn to control that tongue of yours boy!" Snapped Frieza.

"Just destroy him already," his father yawned. "We haven't got all day..."

"He is right," agreed Trunks. "You don't have all day... More like, five minutes."

"Oh? And here I made dinner plans," snarled Frieza.

"So I have heard, but I'm canceling your date with Goku."

"What's a Goku?" The big alien asked. Pan had to bite down on her bottom lip to stop herself from laughing.

"So you know that worthless Saiyan?" Frieza muttered.

"Only by reputation, but we'll be meeting soon."

"Don't be so sure," Frieza hissed darkly, tilting his head to the side.

"Listen here, Goku will be arriving soon and only one of us will be here to meet him. Got it?" Trunks raised an eyebrow.

"Hmm.. I guess now I just got to decide on how to kill you."

"Enough kidding around, it's time you find out who I really am. You're about to find out what it's like to fight a real Super Saiyan, and I'm not talking about Goku," Trunks smirked.

Fear crossed Frieza's face, but he called bluff instead. The smirk didn't leave Trunks' face as he began to power up. Shock and terror now crossed Frieza's face.

"No... it can't be," Frieza took a step back.

"Who is he?" King Cold raised an eyebrow.

"Didn't you hear him?" Pan grinned. "He's a Super Saiyan!"

Trunks screamed as his energy began to blow around. His hair started rising, and Pan, who was standing feet away from him, grabbed ahold of her bandanna to keep it from falling. Rocks were crushing in the ground and rising; however, none of them were even close to hitting Pan. Lavender hair soon became golden, and crystal blue eyes turned teal. The golden aura of the ascended state wrapped around Trunks, making him bright like the sun. Frieza gasped in horror as he took a step back.

"Was it something I said?" Trunks tilted his head to the side.

Frieza shot a blast out at Trunks, and just at the right time, Pan flew up as the male got pushed back. Fire was everywhere and Trunks was no where to be seen.

Frieza laughed wickedly at his victory, "Did you see that father? The Saiyan was pathetic!"

"Hey Lizard Boy!" Pan hissed as she glared at Frieza. The alien looked up at her with a snarl, and a secret smile spread across her face. "Look again!" She turned to look at the flames.

Frieza followed her gaze to see Trunks- unharmed and walking out of them! "I really hope that's not the best you got," Trunks shook his head. "Because if it is, you had best give up now."

Frieza clinched his teeth together with a growl before flying up in the air. He gathered his energy to form a giant red bomb, the same type of bomb he used to blow up Planet Namek. Trunks stood bravely as Frieza threw the bomb, and it hit the Saiyan, causing a massive creator. Anyone else would have died, Pan was thankful Trunks wasn't just anyone. He was Trunks, and she couldn't have been more proud of him.

Frieza started cackling, "That was all too easy!"

His laugher stopped when the bomb started moving. Horror came over his face as he watched Trunks walk out of the creator, holding his bomb.

"Excuse me, is this yours?" Trunks asked.

Frieza snarled, "Damn Saiyan! Why don't you just die!" He screamed before blasting his bomb. A loud, gustly explosion escaped from it and Pan threw both of her arms over her head to protect her from the impact. Trunks used the oppertunity to disappear out of Frieza and his father's eye sight.

Frieza turned his attention towards Pan, an evil smirk on his face. "Are you ready to die now little girl?"

Pan laughed mockingly, "You don't honestly believe that you've killed him, do you?"

Frieza was dumbfounded, and he followed Pan's gaze to see that what she had said was true. There on a cliff stood Trunks, he did the moves for his Burning Attack. "Hey Frieza!" He yelled at the alien, aiming it at him.

Frieza and his father flew up quickly dodging the blast. "Why you little twerp, when I get my hands on you-" Trunks cut the Lizard off by sclicing his blade down the his middle. Slowly, Frieza slid apart before the Saiyan scliced him up more into smaller pieces.

Pan flew up beside Trunks and he looked at her, mischief in his eyes. She smiled, nodding. He grinned, moving his hand and doing Final Flash, making sure that no part of Frieza survived. So maybe he was showing off a little because he wanted Pan to think it was cool... But her beaming smile told him that she did.

As Trunks put his sword in his sheath he shared a smile with Pan. One lizard down- one more to go! The two Saiyans landed in front of Frieza father as the wind blew. In the distance they could see the Z-Fighters watching them.

"My aren't you two something... The name is King Cold, ruler of the panet trade organization," he grinned.

'Is he seriously grinning?' Pan asked Trunks telepathically, disgust was clear in her voice. 'I know Frieza was an evil little jerk, but that's his son! He just died...'

'It just goes to show how heartless he is, Panna,' Trunks told her softly. 'Lets deal with him quickly.'

She nodded her agreement.

"Would you two like to be partners?" King Cold asked, oblivious of the silent conversation between the two Saiyans.

Pan yawned, "Not interested."

"Don't be to hasty. Imagine it... This world and all the others in your reach! To do whatever you wish with them and whenever," King Cold smirked.

"She said we are not interested," Trunks sent him a glare.

"Okay, then at least let me examine your sword..." he looked at Trunks. "A sword with such quantity deserves to be appreciated. You have nothing to worry about from me..."

Trunks smiled, knowing what the lizard was up to. He took his sword out and threw it to Cold.

King Cold looked at it and smirked, "Yes, fine craftsmen ship... But I have a hunch that you only defeated my son so easily because of this sword, what do you say?"

"Believe what you want to," Trunks shrugged.

"I say your nothing without this sword!" King Cold swung the sword towards the Saiyans with a grin.

Trunks took a step in front of Pan, and caught the blade with his hand. King Cold tried to push the sword down out if the Saiyan's grasp, but Trunks started walking, making Cold go backwards. Pan watched him with her hands on her hips and a smirk on her face.

"So much for your theroy, eh?" Trunks told him. "You should know that the weapon doesn't make the man!" He put a hand on King Colds chest, blasting right through it. The lizard landed on a pile of rocks, panting for mercy, but Trunks wasn't feeling generous. Pan blasted Frieza's ship as he finished of King Cold.

Slowly Pan turned, and she made a slight face when she saw the Z-Fighter's faces. Surprise and shock evidently on their faces. Trunks saw them too and blew out a puff of air.

'Ready to tell them?' He asked.

'As ready as I'll ever be...'
