...
"You sure you don't want anything to drink, baby. I brought this bottle just for us." Antonio tried to convince her as he taunted her with the beverage.
Olivia spoke boldly, "No, I don't want anything from you."
"Oh, Liv. Don't be that way. C'mon have a drink!" Antonio tried to be as persuasive as possible.
"No, I already told you. I can't drink." She yelled. Antonio turned from his spot by the window and looked at Olivia who was seated and tied to a chair. He'd placed handcuffs and tied her legs to chair because she wasn't cooperating.
He didn't want to but she wasn't doing what he wanted. She wasn't saying what he wanted. Nothing she did was what he wanted. When he held her close she wouldn't reciprocate his feelings. He tried to kiss her but she kept turning her face away. She kept saying over and over that she would never love him or want him and that only served to anger Antonio more and more.
He retrieved his gun from his bag and directed her to sit in the chair. Olivia choked out a cry and began to As Olivia sat bound the the chair she warned him that Fitz would be there soon to save her and that he wouldn't get away with any of this.
Antionio just laughed at her and said, "That's what i'm hoping for."
"I thought there was something special between us." He began as he knelt in front of her, placing his hands on her knees rubbing back and forth along her thighs. I thought you loved me, or would learn to. We had so many good times together. Fitz doesn't love you like I do. There's still a chance."
"No, there's not a chance. I love my husband. I am in love with him. I was stupid and foolish to open up to you in any way. You're not a quarter of the man my husband is. Get that through your thick skull. I will never leave him and he'll never leave me. I will be with him forever. Through the good and the bad." Olivia took a breath before speaking her next words. "and i'm proud to be carrying his child."
She spoke proudly as she watched Antonio stand to his feet, their eyes locked as he quickly raised his hand high in the air. Olivia slammed her eyes shut and embraced for the impact.
...
Fitz was speeding down the highway, trying his best to get to the house as soon as possible. After Olivia hadn't answered his five calls, he knew something was going on. He sent a prayer that the worst had not happened. He tried to quiet his mind but it was racing with thoughts that just wouldn't just go away.
He should have never left her. If he was there, he wouldn't have to worry about this bad feeling that he has. He thought about calling the police but he didn't know what to expect in his home. He didn't know what Antonio would do if he was really there with his wife.
Another part of him didn't want to call the police because if Antonio was there, he wanted to take care of Antonio himself. He wanted the pleasure of having his hands wrapped around his neck, taking away every bit of life from his body. He didn't want any interruptions as he willingly killed that sick son of a bitch.
Fitz took in a few deep breathes as he neared his home. He searched around his street and noticed a vehicle he had seen earlier. He'd never seen this vehicle before. He was especially curious because it was parked in his neighbors drive-way, who he knew were away on vacation. He parked not too far from his home and made his way through the front yard and to the front door as quietly as possible.
He placed his ear on the door as he listened for anything unusual. It didn't take long because he immediately heard his Livvie yelling from inside the house. Her voice was shaky. He could tell she had been crying. She was breaking and his heart was hurting just listening to her. Although her voice sounded scared she didn't hesitate as she declared and decreed her love for him. He listened on as her voice rose even higher. He quickly placed his key inside the keyhole just as he heard Olivia say, "and i'm proud to be carrying his child".
Right as he entered, he saw Antonio raising his hand to hit her. All of his rage rushed forward and he saw red. He took a few steps forward before yelling, "Don't you dare touch her". He slammed the door shut as Antonio slowly lowered his hand and abruptly turned to face Fitz before a smile graced his lips.
"We've been waiting for you." Antonio smugly stated as he took in Fitz' demeanor.
As Fitz moved in closer, he could see past Antonio that Olivia was tied to a chair. Her eyes were big and red from crying and he could see that all she had on was a robe. He prayed to the good Lord that he had not placed his hand on his wife. He pushed back his emotions and didn't let his theories get the best of him.
"Step away from my wife" He yelled at Antonio. Before he could say another word, Antonio revealed the gun he was holding in the hand that was hidden behind his back. It took him by surprise. He didn't know what this night would bring to them.
"Don't hurt her." Fitz said as he walked in closer to the two of them.
"uh uh, stop right there. No reason for you to come closer." Fitz stop in his tracks as Antonio waved his gun. "I didn't come here with the intentions to hurt Olivia but since she hasn't cooperated, there might be a change in plans." Antonio made his way behind Olivia and placed his hand right at the base of her neck.
As Antonio stood there behind Olivia, he wondered when did everything go to shit. He never wanted things to get to this point but they were here now. Not too long ago, Olivia could've been his. They were friends. Closer than he thought they'd ever be but clearly not close enough.
He thought about how it would feel to be loved just as Olivia loved Fitz. He wanted that so bad. He prayed and hoped that she'd learn to love him just as much. It pained him to see her so unhappy all those months ago but it opened the door for him and here she was shutting that door right back in his face.
As he stood there he could feel a lone tear descend down his face. He didn't know where this was coming from and it made him feel even more pathetic. He looked up to see Fitz standing there wit balled fists and trembling lips. Red eyes showing that he too had shed a few tears.
Antonio reached down with the gun that was still in his other hand and placed it over her still flat abdomen causing Olivia to shudder and whimper in fear. He knelt down beside her and cooed in her ear for her to calm down and that he wasn't going to do anything.
Fitz' blood was boiling. Emotions were spilling left and right from him that he couldn't control. "Don't fucking touch my wife you son of a bitch." Fitz yelled again. He moved forward but Antonio quickly pointed his gun up at him.
"One more step, Fitzgerald, and i'll shoot you." Antonio spoke honestly. His jealousy for Fitz just made him all the more uneasy. He was jealous of the man that got to be with Olivia every night. He was jealous because he knew at one point in time, Fitz wasn't as appreciative as he needed to be. He was jealous because Olivia was now carrying his child. If she only had let Fitz go before then it wouldn't have been so hard.
He turned his head closer to her and breathed in her scent and placed a kiss to the side of her neck and she quickly jolted away. Fitz couldn't take it anymore and jolted towards them. He was fast but not fast enough. Antonio pulled the trigger successfully shooting Fitz before he could reach them.
His cry was the only thing that could be heard. Olivia screamed out just as Fitz hit the floor. All she could hear was his groans of pain.
"Fitz" she yelled out as she watched him squirm while holding his shoulder where Antonio had shot him.
"Please, baby. Tell me you're okay. Fitz!" Olivia cried out. She didn't know what she'd do if he died on her. She couldn't go on if she lost him.
As Fitz fought through the pain, he gathered enough strength to confirm to his wife that he was okay. Antonio had only shot him in the shoulder but it hurt like hell.
"Livvie, i'm okay. I'm gonna be okay" He assured her as he rolled over on his side. He watched as Antonio was still kneeling beside Olivia.
The next thing anybody knew, police sirens could be heard; or maybe ambulance sirens. It may have been both. He could never tell the difference.
He sent up a silent prayer thanking Huck and Harrison. They were more than likely the ones who made it happen. They knew just how stubborn Fitz was especially when it came to Olivia. The sirens got closer and closer until they were the only sounds that could be heard.
Antonio laughed for he knew this time would come eventually. He wanted more than anything for Olivia to choose him but he also understood that it was far fetched. He knew what had to be done, what needed to be done if it came down to this.
He took in a deep breath and brought his hand that was once on her neck around to cup her face. She was crying uncontrollably as she tried to calm down. She was trying to keep it together for Fitz. If he said that he was okay then she had to believe him. She had to believe that they would make it through together. Her eyes were tightly closed as her lips trembled.
He brought his forehead to hers and leaned in to place a soft kiss to her unwilling quaking lips. She shook out of his grasp only for him to grasp her face again.
"Open your eyes" He calmly requested. She didn't comply and he asked again but in a much harsher tone. She jumped but she did so. Their eyes were locked and he spoke from the honest deep depths of her heart.
"I'm sorry." Antonio whispered to her. He brought the gun up to the side of his head just as the loud, insistent banging sounded on the front door. They came through just as Antonio blasted his brains out as the blood spattered all over Olivia's face.
She sat there stunned as his warm blood stained her features. She felt her tears mix in with his blood. The sounds of officers swarming in were faint to her ears. The sound of Fitz' yelling were faint to. She could only focus in on Antonio's lifeless body as it laid there beside her bleeding out.
The next thing you know, she was being cut loose and Fitz was being helped to his feet. He assured paramedics and officers that he was in no need of a gurney when his legs were in perfect use. He made his way over to Olivia who stood bug eyed and shaken as officers tried to assist her.
He had to call her names a few times to get her full attention. When they finally made eye contact, his assuring gaze was all she needed to know that they were finally safe and that they would make through all of this. Fitz snatched a towel from one of the paramedics and found a half empty plastic water bottle near by.
"Close you eyes and tilt your head back" Fitz instructed to Olivia and she did as he said. He quickly cleansed her of Antonio's blood that was splattered all over her face. As he finished, they were escorted outside and into the back of an ambulance.
Fitz had been fighting through the pain of the gun wound to his shoulder to make sure his Livvie was okay. They had spotted Huck and Harrison and told them to meet them at the hospital.
Olivia assured the medics that she was fine and told them to tend to Fitz' gun wound. As stubborn as Fitz was, he listened to his Wife as she told him to let them do their job. She scooted up next to him and placed her hand on his face as he placed his hand that wasn't attached to his injured arm on her stomach. She looked down and placed a hand over his. She let a small smile grace her lips as they made their way to the hospital.
