Chapter 12

Geru walked down the hallway towards the gardens where he knew Lana was. He had heard that Kagome had confronted the demoness and knew she would need attending to until his lord had figured out what he was going to do. Night was setting in and the celebrations of the evening would soon be upon us. Geru had spotted Lana and walked towards her.

"Lady Lana!" he said out loud.

"I believe that you should retire tonight, at least until his Lord has decided after your despicable display with his Lords Ward, what he will do with you." She looked at him scornfully her eyes full of tears.

"It's all your soon to be mates fault! She needs to learn to mind her own business." Geru shook his head, he grabbed her by the arm. Not saying anything else he escorted her to her chambers, and left to go find Kagome.

When he walked down the main hall he was captured by Sierra, who was talking to one of her personal servants. "I see you had the job of making sure Lana doesn't expose herself further." Sierra asked.

Geru smiled at her. "It would seem so." He motioned for her to sit down on the wooden seats that stood in the hall. Both of them looked at one another and then away. Neither wanting to tell the other of their affections. Geru had told himself that he was to mate Kagome and he shouldn't think of the demoness like he did. But there was something strong pulling him to her. Sierra smiled at him and noticed his very intense look upon his face.

"What troubles you, may i ask?" She placed her hand on his. He patted her hand and smiled at her. "Nothing, no nothing to trouble you with." He went to move away and get up when she stopped him. "Please!" she begged. He looked back at her and nodded. "I feel like i am cheating with Kagome's feelings." Sierra looked puzzled and gave hima questionable brow.

"Do you not feel the attraction between us? I know i am about to mate, i just can't seem to shake this sudden attraction."

Sierra smiled and placed her hand on his cheek, she looked beautiful in that moment. "Yes of course i do, but it's because Sesshomaru told me that you were to mate the young Miko that i decided to stay away and fight for Sesshomaru's hand." Geru looked at her and nodded an again looked away.

"Yes, i guess there is him to think of as well." She nodded.

"But if i knew you felt this way, i would gladly walk away. I don't want to be the mate of Lord Sesshomaru! Not since i met you!" he looked back her her and smiled, he brought his own hand to Sierra's face and stroked her cheek. He felt her lean into his touch and before he himself could think of his actions he kissed her softly on the lips.

The evening ball had began and everyone was wondering where Kagome was. Lord Sesshomaru had told Jaken he would be busy with affairs; however Kagome had not come back after putting Rin to bed. Inuyasha had decided that Geru had also been missing and maybe she was with him. He wondered if he should go see if both of the love pair were indeed coming to dinner. He looked over his shoulder to see Sango and Miroku.

"I'm going to go get Kagome. She might have gone for a nap and not realised the time. Have you seen Geru though, he is missing too." He asked Miroku.

"Perhaps they're busy together Inuyasha!" Miroku said smiling. Inuyasha looked at him and snorted.

"Perv!" he walked towards the end of the banquet hall and turned around quickly to tell him where he was off to.

"I'll go see if either of them are coming for dinner. Be back soon." and with that he was off.

Sesshomaru woke to find Kagome laid on her side, her curves more apparent than ever as a thin sheet of cloth covered her naked form. His hand was draped over her hips and Kagome nestled into his embrace. He realized it was very early in the morning and no one had coming looking for either one of them. He looked back at the young Miko and her beauty. Memories of what he had gotten to last night flooded his mind. He had gotten her naked and kissed trials down her body and between her thighs. She had moaned his name and the sound made him want her more and more. She was a virgin he knew that, her could smell it and he made sure not to go to fast or too hard. They had made love over and over until finally both was exhausted and fell asleep. He smiled at the young women who laid completely asleep.

He was brought to the shocking realization that Geru would be looking for her and so would her friends after she had not turned up to the celebration. He was also more aware than ever that she was promised to his general and he had taken her virtue and ruined the possibility of a life with Geru. Part of him hated the thought that the general got something so beautiful and rare. After the thought, he was shocked at the realization that he had thought the miko beautiful. He then took a moment and considered it. Yes she was rare and beautiful, and before he realized it himself she would have made the perfect choice of Mate. If only she wasn't human.

Kagome began to sture and the sound took him away from his thoughts. Her big blue eyes opened and looked straight at the demon lord. She smiled and then slowly a horrid look crept upon her face. "Oh no! What have i done!" she shrieked. He placed a hand on her shoulder as she attempted to get up. "Stay still for a moment, Miko! Lets just talk!" Kagome looked at him and then nodded in agreement.

"What did we do Sesshomaru?" He smiled and looked at her naked from underneath the thin cloth.

"A lot apparently. Miko we need to discuss some things." she nodded and move to wrap a thicker blanket around her.

"Yes. What am i going to do now. What about Geru, i already betrayed him once. He won't want me after this. 'I don't blame him either.' And Inuyasha! Oh gosh he be so mad." Sesshomaru looked annoyed but didn't comment about Inuyasha feelings.

"We shouldn't tell Geru about this. Not now. I need to figure some things out before we do anything rash. I have three women here which i need to choose one of them. Go clean yourself in my hot springs then head to your room. We will talk later." She nodded and got up and moved to grab her kimono. As she was about to leave her pulled her to him and kissed her deeply which left her melting to the ground again.

"What have you done to me" he whispered and with that he let her go.

Kagome got cleaned and dressed, thinking about the evening she had just spend with Sesshomaru she blushed at the thought, that she Kagome had bedded the most feared and wanted demon in Japan. She headed down the hall towards her room which wasn't far away. She heard a door creaking open and noticed that a figure leaving the room of Sierra. Her heart leaped into her throat. As the figure turned towards her without realizing she was standing there She was face to face with Geru.

"Kagome!" he said surprised. "What are you doing up this early." she looked him up and down and realised that he had gone off to Sierra and done exactly what she had just done with Sesshomaru. Part of her was furious and then the other part of her wasn't. She couldn't explain it she was almost relieved. Was it because she had slept with Sesshomaru, or was it her feelings had changed and she no longer held those deep feelings. She couldn't be sure.

"Kagome! Please let me explain." he said and without thinking and because she was embarrassed that she herself had done the same thing she moved back into her room and locked the door. She let out a small sigh. How could she face him, how could he have done that to her, how could she have done that to him. Anger swirled in her heart at the total mess she was in. obviously Sesshomaru wouldn't want her and apparently neither did Geru. She had slept with Sesshomaru yes. But she wasn't in love with him. She could see from Geru's face he had fallen in love with Sierra. She slumped down to the ground and cried.

"Kagome!" Geru cried at her door. He slammed his fist against the wooden oak door and again called her name. "Please Kagome let me explain!" he shouted. Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku had hear the commotion from down the other side and went to go investigate. He could see Geru standing outside of Kagome's door and realized something was up. He walked towards the general and stopped to look closer at him.

"Whats going on?" he asked. The generall turned around to face Inuyasha. "Kagome locked herself into her room and won't come out." Inuyasha looked questionable at him. "Why, what did you do to her last night. Where were you two last night?" he asked. Geru looked puzzled.

"I searched in your room and in Kagome's to find you for the banquet and we didn't find either of you. I assumed Kagome was with you!" Geru smiled and nodded. He knew where he was, but where had Kagome been. He nodded and looked over at a concerned Sierra that he was going to spill the beans about their joining.

"I was with Kagome in the far east wing we had lost track of time and we didn't want to come for dinner as neither of us was hungry and i retired in my room and Kagome hers, or maybe she went to go see Rin." he smiled at Inuyasha.

Inuyasha didn't quite believe his farce of a story but let it go. He moved Geru away from the door. And knocked at the door, and asked Kagome to let him in. She obliged and let the half demon in.

"Let me talk to her okay." Geru nodded and proceeded to walk away from Kagome's door. Sesshomaru who was curious to what was going on watched as Kagome allowed the half breed to enter her bed chambers. He was furious he didn't want Inuyasha anywhere near her. He didn't want Inuyasha to make another claim on her. He was about to move away when he caught Geru and Sierra look at one another. Something had happened and Kagome he believed had just caught Geru in the act.

Inuyasha looked at Kagome and watched her hug herself. "Kagome what happened last night? And what happened this morning?" She looked over at her best friend and began to sob. He walked over to her and placed his arms around her and let her sob into his shoulder.

"Kagome!" he spoke softly, then he caught it. His brothers scent.

"Kagome! Tell me what happened last night!" he spoke more sternly.

"Nothing! No one wants me Inuyasha. Not You, not Geru and certainly not your half brother!" she let it slip. Inuyasha knew in that moment that something with his brother and Kagome had happened.

"You weren't with Geru last night? Were you ?" she shook her head. And he looked at the door, Raging mad that his brother had taken something so pure.

"Kagome did he force himself on you?" Kagome shook her head and he signed at not understanding it at all. He wanted to go kill Sesshomaru, he wanted to be raging mess. But Kagome needed him and he had already promised himself to Kagome and told her she was like a sister. So he decided he would care for her like a brother would.

"Tell me Kagome! I am here for you!" she nodded and told him exactly all that happened with her and Lana, the conversation she had with Sesshomaru, the intense attraction she felt with him and then what she had saw Geru doing when she walked to her bed chambers.

"That bastard!" he spoke about Geru. "I am going to kill him. Him and Sesshomaru!"

Kagome grabbed Inuyasha's arm and pulled him back. He stopped at the feeling of her tiny grip on his clothes. "Please Inuyasha! Leave it!" she asked. He looked at her and looked towards the door and nodded in agreement. Kagome smiled at him.

"Okay, but you better come get me if either one of those bone heads hurt you." she nodded in agreement. They talked about Sango and Miroku and how both had been skirting around their true feelings. The talked about Kikyou and her reaction as well as her respect she held for Kagome. Kagome was surprised beyond belief. She had never thought Kikyou would ever be on her side. She told him what had happened between her and Sesshomaru to Inuyasha's detest for hearing such things.

They talked more than they had when they were friends falling for one another. Kagome knew she could trust inuyasha this time. He had proved to be what he had promised her. Her best friend, her brother, her confidant.

Few hours went by and finally Inuyasha and Kagome emerged from her chambers. Geru had been standing by the side of her door, and a worried Sierra not far behind. Kagome knew she should tell Geru about her and Sesshomaru. Inuyasha had told her she should as well. Kagome did what Sesshomaru had asked her. She would tell Sesshomaru that they needed to talk to Geru. He obviously would want tobe with Sierra and she should be kind and let him go. She obviously didn't have those feelings for him like she lead on.

"Kagome!" Geru spoke softly as he came up to take her hands. "Can we talk?' she nodded and moved her hands away from his. His touch was still light and gentle. His voice soft and caring. She knew why she had taken a liking to him. She understood why he was easy to fall in love with. He was a fearless demon; however he was also caring and gentle and passionate. He was the best kind of demon around and obviously more then just KAgome had notice that.

"We can talk later, right now i need to go attend Rin and talk to Sesshomaru. " he nodded and let go of her hand and watched her walk away. Inuyasha's eyes watched Geru and he let out a low growl.

"You bastard. How could you!" he snapped at Geru. The general looked at Inuyasha and snorted. "What half breed?" he snapped at Inuyasha. Geru walked up close face to face with Inuyasha. "What?" he asked again. Inuyasha growled again and put his hand on the hilt of his sword. "You weren't supposed to hurt her feelings like that. You weren't supposed to do what i did to her." he got a little closer. "You were supposed to make her happy!" Geru could feel Inuyasha's aura flowing and realized that he was more powerful than others would have believed. "Yet you didn't. WHY!" she shouted. Geru knew at that moment kagome had told him what she had seen.

"Half breed. It was never my intention to hurt Kagome! I was i guess, i am still in love with her. But i couldn't help my stirring feelings and attractions for someone else. You should know what i speak of when i say this. " Inuyasha took a step backwards. He nodded and looked where Kagome had walked off to.

"Yeah! I understand. The question is, will Kagome. She has been hurt way too many times. If she keeps getting hurt like this. I fear she will go home and leave us forever!" Geru looked shocked at Inuyasha's declaration, and realized that he was right, she did live on the other side of time. She could just return to her own time and they would never see her again. He looked at Sierra and then back from where Kagome had wandered off too. He realized that he might have to sacrifice his own happiness to save this time and to save Kagome's own soul.
