Day 11

It was 2:30am when Tony woke up for two reasons, one he REALLY had to pee and the second he was STARVING. Groaning he got out of bed, took care of business and then padded his way out of his bedroom and down the hall. There he found Sasha and Jeremy playing a game of cards at the art table. "Hey guys." He said sheepishly. "Sorry to bother you."

"Don't be sorry Tony you did a good job, you got at least five hours of sleep. We've been anticipating you for the past few hours." Jeremy admitted as he placed his card hand down so he could focus fully on Tony. "So what seems to be the problem besides not being able to sleep?"

"Starving…I can't seem to get full." Tony said as he scratched at his stomach under his Backstreet Boys t-shirt. He was embarrassed to admit it but he LOVED the late 90s boyband.

"We've got an order in for you to have either a meat and cheese or PB&J sandwich." Sasha spoke up smiling. "Any of that sound good?"

Tony bit his lower lip looking sheepish once again. "Is it possible to have both? I will take meat and cheese if I can only have one though. I don't really like Peanut butter that much. Sorry to be such a pain and oh my gosh I am talking like crazy, so sorry." He took a deep breath and felt like smacking himself in the head.

Both Sasha and Jeremy chuckled. "How about I give you two meat and cheese sandwiches. I think we have turkey and ham. Do you want both those or two of one?"

Tony 'ordered' one of each and soon was sitting at the table with the card game eating his sandwiches and milk happily. He doubted he would go back to sleep but then again he didn't know maybe after he ate he would feel sleepy.

Just then Anthony made his appearance with his clothes in hand and sleepy pout on his face. "Hi." He said to the group.

Sasha was up in a flash. "Hey Anthony let's get you taken care of." With that she guided the sleepy teen to his hygiene items and a shower.

"That would suck." Tony said as he wadded up the plastic wrap from his sandwiches. "Is it his meds that do that?"

"I don't know Tony, but it's his business." Jeremey pointed out. "But yes It would suck."

"I wet the bed until I was like four or something but stopped after that." Tony said but shook his head. "Sorry shouldn't talk about that." He looked at the card game. "Can I play with you guys?"

Jeremy wasn't used to allowing kids on the unit at night so this was a bit weird for him but he nodded his head in agreement. "Sure we're just playing Go-Fish."

Tony smiled, "My favorite game…no seriously!" he added when Jeremy looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Well card game anyway. If I could I would be playing video or computer games."

"I am sure most of you kids would." Jeremy said as he re-dealt the game and they both waited for Sasha to return from helping Anthony.

All three of them played Go-Fish for a good hour before they decided they had all had enough of the card game.

Just as they were finishing their game Jenny came wondering out into the main area with her hand over her face along with a tissue. "My nose started bleeding. I tried to get it to stop in my room but it's been like twenty minutes. Can I talk with Brian?" she asked Sasha who had come to her aid right away.

Hearing his name and the word 'blood' Brian was out from behind the counter and at Jenny's side right away. He took her to the side and they started a conversation while Sasha got some ice.

"I could never work in a place like this or any other hospital for that matter. I don't do well with blood." Tony said in response to what was going on. He felt bad for Jenny.

Jenny was allowed to sit on the couch while she iced her nose so Tony went to sit with her, of course Jeremy came alone, but just sat next to them in a chair. He was too big of a guy to try and situate himself on the couch with the teenagers.

"I'm sorry you're hurt." Tony said to Jenny looking at her with worry in his eyes. "Did you hit your nose on something?"

"No…this just happens sometimes." Jenny admitted her nose sounding stuffed up since she was holding a washrag and an ice pack to it.

Tony made a face, "That sucks." He said as he looked around the room his eyes kind of wild. He was still wide awake and beginning to get bored, not a good combo.

Jeremy was very intentive and noticed this, "Tony you okay Man?" he questioned the teenager. "Do you need to talk?"

"I'm okay." Tony said as he took a deep breath and tried to focus on Jenny next to him. "I hope you can go back to sleep."

"Me too…but why aren't you asleep?" Jenny questioned and then remembered. "Oh no meds, that has got to suck more than me and my bloody nose." At that she checked her nose and realized it had stopped bleeding. With a yawn she stood up. "Well I am going to give this to Brain to take care of and go back to bed. See you in the morning Tony." With that she headed off to the nurses' station and then back to her bedroom.

Tony pouted when he found he was alone with adults once again. "I need to do something active." He told Jeremy as he leg started bouncing up and down. "I lied I am not feeling so hot."

Jeremy took a deep breath and was quiet for a second. "I may be able to take you in the hall and you can run laps. BUT don't hold me to that because I've heard you aren't allowed off the unit except outside."

"I won't be bad." Tony said but there was just something weird to his tone of voice.

Jeremy made the mistake of leaving Tony's side to go talk to Sasha who was on the other side of the room working on a puzzle. While he did this Tony grabbed a marker off the art table and shoved it down his PJ pants. "Can I go use the bathroom?" he asked Jeremy when he came back and of course the word was he couldn't leave the unit. Seeming to take that in stride Jeremy let Tony go down to his room and use the bathroom

Tony didn't need to use the bathroom though, no instead he felt like hurting himself. No he wasn't suicidal but he had this awful pressured thought in his head that when that happened all he could do was scratch himself until he bled. Taking the marker in hand he started scratching at his forearm, pretty much giving himself an awful rug-burn.

"Tony?" Jeremy called from the other side of the foam door. "You're taking a long time." He said sensing something wasn't right.

Tony stopped scratching and looked at the door, willing it to stay closed. "I'm constipated." He stated and started scratching again, getting a high off of the fact he was doing something so 'naughty' with Jeremy right outside the door.

Jeremy really didn't like this, something was not okay. "Tony if you aren't done in two minutes I am coming in."

"Leave me the FUCK alone." Tony found himself yelling before really thinking about it because that got Jeremy to open the door right away and found Tony with marker in hand and bloody arm.

"Oh Tony." Jeremy said with a sigh as he got the object away from the teen and put it in his pocket. Sure, that probably wasn't sanitary but he didn't care at the moment. "Come on you can't be in here."

"What part of leave me alone did you not understand?" Tony questioned but actually walked out of the bathroom and his bedroom without being forced. It was when Jeremy just walked into the main area and took a seat on the couch that Tony was confused. Why hadn't he taken him to Brian to get checked out, he was bleeding after all.

What Tony didn't know was that staff was supposed to take all superficial self-harm in stride. If they focused on it too much then the client was getting what they wanted…attention.

"So what are we going to do?" Tony asked Jeremy. "I am obviously feeling shitty so I need to do something." He said as he started picking at his arm, making it bleed even more.

Jeremy sighed, "Tony quit that, I know what you did and you know I don't like it but we're going to focus on something else…something that won't get you in trouble for the next…" he looked down at his watch. "Two hours."

"I need Brain to check out my arm." Tony said still picking, beginning to make a real wound but the pain didn't seem to faze the teen at all.

"Brian isn't available right now." Jeremy said even though he was beginning to wonder if he should get the other man involved because the mark on Tony's arm was looking pretty gross. How he had managed that with a maker cap he wasn't sure but it was obvious Tony knew what to do and well…did it.

Tony began to pace and shook his head. "No I NEED for Brian to look at my arm. It could get infected."

Sasha joined them with a raised eyebrow. "What happened?" she whispered to Jeremy who then filled her in and she sighed. It was never good when the kids started self-harming. Jenny did that a lot when she had first arrived at the institute. Now it seemed they had another one in their midst at least when not medicated.

"Seriously look!" Tony walked over and shoved his arm in Sasha's face. "I need a bandage and some cream."

"Tony you should have thought about this before you hurt YOURSELF." Sasha pointed out. She saw a look come over Tony's face and knew right away she said the wrong thing. 'Shit' she thought to herself. She quickly excused herself and made a phone call to the adult unit for some back-up staff because she didn't feel they would make it the next two hours without Tony completely blowing up.

"Come back you cunt!" Tony yelled to Sasha's retreating back. He laughed manically and looked at Jeremy. "You WILL get Brian for me or I am going to tear this place apart." He told the large man. He then thought of something. "Wait a second I will get him myself." He literally ran over to the nurses' station and when he didn't see Brian right away he climbed on the desk and started to dance around, kicking papers, pens and various other things on the floor. "Oh BRIAN there is a freaked out kid stomping on your shit!" he called.

At this point Zack and Collin from the adult unit joined Jeremey and Sasha so the physically got Tony off the desk and placed him in a therapeutic restraint. They only did this for a couple of minutes when they realized they could be damaging the wound on Tony's arm. Thinking quickly they all got Tony to seclusion and shut tightly inside where he screamed, kicked and cursed them to high Heaven. Thankfully the seclusion rooms were far enough from the bedrooms that nobody else woke up.

"My gosh," Collin said as they all stood back breathing hard. "What is going on with THAT kid?"

Jeremy and Sasha both explained what was going on so of course Zack and Collin understood. They stuck around for another half an hour but since Tony appeared to be calming down they headed back to their own unit leaving Sasha and Jeremy to help their own client once again.

Meanwhile Tony was sitting in the seclusion room picking at his wound and drawing on the wall in blood…words that weren't very nice. Jeremy watched this from the observation window and sighed. "He's making a mess and hurting himself worse." He told Brain who was trying to clean up his work station.

"Tell him as soon as he can sit against the back wall without picking at his arm for five minutes I will come in and check it." Brain said trying to make sense of the client charts he had been reviewing.

Jeremy did just that and thankfully Tony seemed to agree because he sat Indian-Style on the floor hands in his lap for over five minutes since it took Brian extra time to get to him. Thankfully there wasn't a clock near by so Tony wouldn't know this.

Brian unlocked the seclusion room door, propped it open and leaned against the door jam for a second. "I am only give you this kind of attention because I am afraid you could have really hurt yourself. But don't get used to getting attention after self-harm." He told the teen.

Tony sighed and looked up at Brian. "I just need something to cover it up so I don't keep picking at it. It's a compulsion I can't stop picking at it."

"You can stop writing naughty words on the wall though." Brian pointed out as he walked into the seclusion room and sat down next to Tony with cleaning wipes and a bandage. It only took him a few minutes and soon Tony was all bandaged up and ready to go. "You need to talk with Jeremy about getting out of here, but I will say you did fine with me." With that he stood up and headed out of the room.

Jeremy poked his head right in and eyed Tony for a second before speaking up. "Ready to talk about this so you can get your butt in gear and clean up the mess you made?"

Tony looked around him and made a face. He was thankful in a way that it was blood because it would be easy to clean up. "I'm ready." He said with a sigh. "I'm sorry for everything I really don't feel good. I'm tired, I'm cranky and manic." He bit his lower lip. "And started to hear shit when I was in here."

"You're hearing voices?" Jeremy asked now worried. Sure, they dealt with that when it came to Leon and Jimmy all the time but normally they weren't known for being aggressive.

"Yeah…well not right this second but when the door was closed." Tony said sighing again. "Can I come out and talk with you? I will still clean the room up I just need to be out of here. I will sit in front of the door or the wall or whatever and oh shit I just can't keep my mouth quiet!"

Jeremy actually chuckled at that. "Come on out Tony." He said backing away so the teen could exit the seclusion room. They then both sat against the wall and talked about what was going on. They came to the conclusion that this med wash thing was doing a number on Tony in many ways. Tony really realized how ill he really was and that scared him. He talked with Jeremy about how much that did scared him because he never wanted to be that crazy bum on the street that talked to himself.

"You won't be because I've heard you've got a good support system." Jeremy smiled. "Plus you're very smart"

This made Tony feel better and soon he was ready to help Jeremy clean the seclusion room. He had to be watched closely while he used the chemicals to clean the walls but soon everything was sanitary and spick and span. Just as he was finishing cleaning the morning staff began arriving and he waved at Mark, Joe and Becky. "Good morning guys." He said now in a happy, yet still manic, mood.

All three staff members inwardly groaned when they saw that Tony was awake. They probably would have groaned out loud if they paid attention to the bandage on his arm that hadn't been there the day before.

Tony and Jeremy worked on a puzzle until around 7:30am and then Becky came over to take Jeremy's place. She had learned about his night and incident and felt awful for the boy. If the doctor's simply kept him on his meds maybe that hadn't happened. She was thankful that it hadn't been something worse than a marker burn. She had also been told she was supposed to talk to Tony about what happened a bit more so when she took Jeremy's place she started.

"So what caused that?" She questioned pointing at his arm.

Tony glanced down and sighed, "You already know I'm sure."

"I know that you hurt yourself, but I am curious what brought it on so we can make sure it doesn't happen again." Becky explained.

Now looking up, Tony sighed again. "I'm just not feeling good and started hearing voices and having these compulsions. I couldn't stop myself it was almost like an out of body experience or something." He shook his head. "I really don't want to talk about it anymore…I don't think it will happen again." Even as he said this he was eyeing the marker box across the room on the art table. Groaning he smacked himself in the head and got up from the puzzle. "Can I go lie down for an hour before breakfast?"

Becky bit her lower lip. "You can but just so you know I now have to sit in your doorway whenever you are in your room until you can build our trust back up again.

Tony glared at Becky he was beginning to feel really violated and it was only the second day of possibly a three day med wash. "Fine" he said before they both walked down to his room. He didn't really plan on sleeping but instead just hooked himself up to his iPod and listened to some music for the next hour, Becky reading a book at the door.

Breakfast and the beginning of school was rather uneventful. There was a bit of an argument between Tony and staff over doing his math work but soon he did it and completed it all in only a half an hour. After math work Becky brought out some work sheets from a bipolar workbook and thought Tony would like to work on them since he was becoming more and more interested in his illness. The first was a Bipolar check-list…

1) Mood Swings (Check) – Tony had to laugh out loud when he read this, oh boy did he have mood swings, heck he was in the middle of one major mood swing right now.

2) Euphoria (Check) – He often felt euphoric and on top of the world. He wondered if that had anything to do with the pressured speech thing he had been hearing about recently.

3) Rapid Speech (Check) – Again Tony laughed, there was the pressured speech thing. Becky eyed him a bit funny when he was giggling but turned back to the book she was happily reading since Tony was doing such a good job on his work.

4) Racing Thoughts (Check) – Tony made a face at this one, boy did his thoughts race and they were racing at the moment, so much so that it was beginning to get hard focusing on the simple task of checking a box next to a definition. Taking a deep breath he plowed on.

5) Irritation (Check) – Yes he definitely got irritated easily when he was both in a manic and a depressed state. Normally he didn't get THAT depressed though.

6) Increased Physical Activity (Check) – 'I could really use some physical activity right now' he thought to himself but then remembered the snow storm and made a face, he really should live in a tropical climate because this snow stuff was too much sometimes.

7) Careless use of drugs/alcohol (No Check) – Tony was happy he didn't have to check at least one damn box. He never had a problem with drugs or alcohol mostly because he saw how terrible it was and how it killed his mother.

8) Decreased need for Sleep (Check) – All Tony could think about was last night and how without his meds he felt like he could go days without sleeping. Heck he had done it before.

9) Missed work (No Check) – Tony figured since didn't work at all he didn't need to check this box. He didn't think about how much school he had missed over the years due to his mental health symptoms or how many time he had been suspended or even expelled from a school for poor behavior.

10) Fatigue – (No Check) – It wasn't very often when Tony felt tired, In his recent research he figured he mostly stayed in the 'manic' stage of his illness…except for when he got suicidal and wanted to die…but he didn't think that had anything to do with fatigue.

11) Chronic pain with no known cause (No Check) – Tony was confused by this question and had to ask Becky what it meant. What he understood after that was that it was having pain all the time but a doctor couldn't figure out why. This was something he hadn't experienced and hoped to never.

12) Sadness/Hopelessness (Check) – Even though it wasn't as often as mania symptoms Tony did understand feeling sad and hopeless. It was times like these when he would overdose and try to kill himself. He quickly tried to will those thoughts away and moved onto the next and final question.

13) Suicidal Thoughts (Check) – Tony inwardly groaned, of course the thing had to end on such a sad note. He checked the box and felt tears come to his eyes.

Pushing the paper to the other side of the table he wiped at his eyes before Becky could see them. "Done and can I do something fun now? That ended poorly."

Becky wasn't sure what Tony meant by that but when she glanced at the paper and saw the last question she understood. "How about we play a game?" she suggested. "I believe we have one of my favorite games…Guess Who."

Tony chuckled a little, "Okay."

So the next half an hour they played 'Guess Who' and Tony won each time. He was busy doing a cute victory dance around the main area when the teens came in from class for their lunch break.

Anthony looked at his friend funny but busted up laughing when Tony kept up his dance. "I guess you had a good morning."

"It was fine but I just beat Becky at a game." Tony replied as he stopped his dance and walked with Anthony towards the nurses' station. He didn't know why Anthony was going there but he was just hanging with his friend, of course Becky right behind.

Anthony was simply asking for a Band-Aid for a hang nail that was bleeding and then walked down the hall to the dining room. Lunch wasn't ready yet but they surprisingly the staff did have a movie going on the small TV in the room so Tony and Anthony sat down to watch that. It was a therapeutic video on 'social skills' but it wasn't too bad.

"How was class?" Tony questioned. "I actually miss being with you crazy bunch." He smirked.

Anthony playfully elbowed Tony and the boys chuckled. "It was good we just did typical school stuff this morning like math and reading. Probably the same things you did."

Tony agreed and they went back to watching their movie.

Since Tony had pretty much worked on his research project in the morning it was English time in the afternoon until he and Donny & Leon would get to go out in play in the snow if on good behavior. All three teens did their work quietly, or well Donny and Tony did, Leon paced up and down the bedroom hallway mumbling to himself.

Tony finished his reading assignment before Donny was done so he leaned back in his chair and talked with Becky a bit. "So do you have like a specialty in your school program or is it just simply psychology?"

Becky smiled, she loved talking about her schooling and her work. "I am in a track called Applied Behavior Analysis which basically means I am learning to help individuals change their behavior patterns through skills."

"Oh," Tony said with a nod. "Makes sense why you are working here. We are all about the skills." He then added "Which is good I think we can all use them, I know I can. I mean I like to think I am here to learn not just be locked up because I am unsafe like a criminal or something."

"That is right Tony all of you are here to get help with groups and things, nobody is here because they are being punished even though I am sure on some hard days it might seem that way." Becky explained.

Tony nodded again, "Yeah." He was going to add something but Donny bounded into the room dressed like he was going to go snowboarding. "Did your parents bring you snowboard pants?" he asked the younger teen.

Donny nodded happily. "Yeah Michael asked them to bring me snow stuff so I could still go outside when I need to burn off energy. Trying to keep me out of seclusion and stuff." He explained. "You should have your boyfriend bring you snow pants."

"I think I'm okay with my sweats and jeans." Tony said with a smile he then looked to Becky. "Can I go get ready now?"

She nodded but then realized something. "Hey Mark can you watch Tony while he changes, I think that only seems fair. I can help Donny get his boots on."

Tony was going to protest ANYBODY watching him change his clothes but realized they were only trying to keep him safe and he had been rather unsafe the night before. "Come on Mark I know you can't WAIT to see me with my clothes off." He teased the middle aged man.

Tony changed at neck-break speed and soon was wearing sweats under his baggiest pair of jeans, a long sleeved t-shirt with a hoody over it. He finished off with his boots and winter coat and was ready to go.

Outside the boys were actually allowed to have a snow-ball fight. Leon personally had fun eating the snowballs more than playing with them but that was okay. Of course Tony had to pick on the slightly catatonic teen and remind him not to eat the snow if it was yellow. Both Becky and Mark laughed at this.

After the snowball fight Tony and Donny played HORSE at the basketball court, Donny winning the game even though Tony tried his hardest. Basketball wasn't really his sport. Now if they were playing baseball he would hit it out of the park sota speak.

Shivering a bit Tony walked over to Becky, "Can I go inside now…and maybe see if my friend is online to talk to?" he gave her his best DiNozzo smile in hopes that would help.

Becky laughed, "Sure Tony…you only have about twenty minutes until everybody gets back from school so that is how long you'll have. Shouldn't your friend be in school though?"

"He is but gets out at 1:00pm and isn't it after that now?"

"Yeah it's almost 3:00pm actually." Becky said as she told Mark they were going inside but it seemed Donny and Leon wanted to stay out for the rest of the twenty minutes.

Once inside Tony simply stripped off his outerwear and sat down at his laptop that was connected to the internet, much better than the slow PC the unit had. He signed into his Gmail account and sure enough Jake was on line like he always was at this time of day.

TONY: Hey Man…how was your day?

JAKE: Hey Tony my day has been going well…we didn't have school because of the huge ass fuck of a snow storm. What have you been up to? Still in the hospital?"

TONY: Yeah still there probably will be for at least another 20 days but it's okay. Do you think you could come and visit tonight?

Tony could use a visitor besides Jet every once and a while even though Jet was a major part of his life and treatment.

JAKE: I can ask my mom, just a second….BRB

TONY: Ok.

Tony smiled to Becky, "My friend Jake might be coming to see me tonight, wouldn't that be cool." He then thought of something. "Guess I will have to explain to him why I have a person going around with me all the time."

"Remember it's not because you've done something wrong. The doc is just messing with your meds right now with is messing with you basically." Becky tried to explain.

JAKE: My mom said if Jet can pick me up on his way then I can come and visit. You're sure you want me to come? I know last time I came when you were in that treatment center it got you really sad.

TONY: I'm sure…but just so you know I will have a staff with me at all times. They have taken me off all my meds. Something they call a 'med wash'. They are trying to make sure they put me back on something that works really well.

JAKE: Oh man…ok that is fine. I will call Jet and see if he can come get me. If so then I will see you this evening.

TONY: Great hope to see you then.

With that Tony logged off the internet and helped Becky put his stuff away so it was safe for when the rest of the group came back onto the unit.

That afternoon group was a bit different than normal. The teens found out that Mark was having a birthday that coming weekend so Pauley and Sean decided they would have the clients help plan his birthday party. In preparation for the group both staff members had made index cards with various party type things on them and made a set for each teen. Now during the actual group they passed out the cards and asked each kid to hold up a card for what topic.

"Okay guys and gals we need help coming up with what to do for Mark's party. Each of you have a set of cards with a major food on it like pizza, tacos, hamburgers, fried chicken, etc I would like each of you to hold up a card and whatever we get the most of is what we will eat.

There was a bit of commotion in the room before everybody started holding up cards.

Tony: Pizza

Jenny: Pizza

Anthony: Tacos

Timmy: Hamburgers

Donny: Chicken

Ellie: Tacos

Jimmy: Pizza

Sean tallied up the food on the board and they were all able to see that pizza had the most votes. Nobody complained about this.

They then spent the rest of the half an hour group talking about ice cream flavors, type of cake and decoration colors. The party ended up planned like this.

Main Dish: Pizza

Ice Cream: Chocolate

Cake: White/chocolate frosting

Decoration: Blue & White

All the kids left happy that they got to plan the party. So happy they all continued to talk about it at dinner, quietly of course until Mark left for the night. This also meant that Gus was there for Tony and Becky said goodnight.

"How's it going Tony?" Gus questioned as he watched Tony pick at his dinner. "Not hungry?"

Tony shook his head, "I'm starving but I HATE meatloaf. I got sick off of it once and haven't been able to eat it since. Do you think I can call and as Jet and Jake to bring me something to eat?"

Gus knew that the kids were allowed food brought to them during visits as long as it wasn't full of sugar and caffeine. "Sure just remember nothing with sugar or caffeine but a fast good meal or something should be fine."

Tony smiled big and hopped out of his seat. "Let's go then!" he quickly walked to the phone in the main area not bothering to get his cell and dialed Jet's number. When he answered he quickly relayed the message that he wanted food from Taco bell. He also was curious if Jake was coming with him and sure enough he was. Tony was so excited he almost couldn't contain himself. "My best friend is coming with Jet tonight." He told Gus.

Gus smiled, "That's great Tony" it was then Michael came up to them and Tony's smile went away.

"Did I do something wrong?" he asked the therapist that he didn't realize was even there that late.

Michael smiled, "You're fine Tony I just wanted to speak to you for a few moments before visitors show up."

Tony was still weary but was happy to lose his Gus detail for a few minutes while he sat away from the group with Michael to talk. "What's up?"

"I wanted to see how you feel about having a family meeting with Jet tomorrow sometime, whenever he can get off work. Normally we do things a bit sooner than this since you have been here 11 days but now is definitely the time.

"Oh." Tony said feeling much better that Michael didn't appear to want to talk about his incident that morning. He was pretty sure that Michael knew about it but that didn't mean he wanted to discuss it. He was already worried about talking with Jet and Jake about it in a few minutes. Shaking out of his thoughts he finally answered the therapist. "Sure that's fine…we'll talk about treatment goals and things?"

Michael smiled, "Exactly…and hopefully in a couple of days we can talk together with the doctor and get you back on some medication. I've heard you've been doing pretty well though, not that I suggest going without medication for forever."

Tony's eyes went wide. "Oh hell no…I had learned that I like my medication. I don't know how Ellie survives not taking anything."

"Well that is Ellie" Michael pointed out and then stood up. "You can join your friends again. I will grab Jet when he first comes to see what time we can work out tomorrow."

"Sounds good." Tony headed back to where Anthony and Ellie were actually having a heated conversation and staff was trying to get them to calm down. Jenny was reading to both Donny and Timmy and Tony found Gus not wanting to be a part of any of the issues going on because Jet and Jake would be there any minute.

Sure enough five minutes later Jet and Jake came walking onto the unit carrying a bag of taco bell.

"Oh thank goodness!" Tony said to them a huge smile on his face as he took the bag of food before giving either his boyfriend or best friend a hug.

Jake and Jet both laughed as they followed Tony and Gus to the dining room so he could eat. Both Jake and Jet had eaten before they came so they watched Tony happily eat his food.

Michael chose that moment to pull Jet away for a few minutes so that left Jake with Tony and Gus. Gus trying to stay out of the way since Tony was on track.

"So how are YOU doing?" Tony questioned his friend. Sure they could talk about him and his issues all night but Tony wanted to know what was going on in the life of one of his 'normal' friends.

Jake smiled, "I asked Tiffany out a few days ago. We're going to see a movie tomorrow night."

Tony grinned, "Way-ta-go!" he said and gave his best friend a 'high five'. He glanced at Gus and laughed. "Was I supposed to ask permission with my friend OUTSIDE of this wacky place?"

Gus rolled his eyes, "You're fine Tony…I would let you know if you weren't…just enjoy yourself it's not often I see friends coming by so this is great. You have an awesome friend."

This had Jake smiling even more. "Thanks Gus." He said really liking this staff member. "You know Tone this place doesn't seem half bad, everybody seems pretty nice from what I could tell."

Tony chuckled, "You haven't actually MET anybody, but yes everybody is cool. We all have our moments though."

"Don't we all?" Jake questioned with a raised eyebrow. "Just cuz I don't spend my days in a hospital doesn't mean I don't have bad ones."

"I know Jake." And Tony did know. Sometimes Jake suffered from depression, especially around the time his mom died. Now his dad was re-married to a great woman who Jake called 'Mom' but that didn't mean he didn't miss his biological mom.

Just then Jet came walking back into the room and plopped down next to the younger teenagers. "So I am coming at 2pm tomorrow for a 'family' meeting. I already talked to my boss and he was perfectly okay with it. He is trying his hardest to work with me knowing what is going on."

"Awesome," Tony said but made a face. He really didn't feel like some weird type of family therapy but figured if it helped him and got him out of his place in his 30 days then it was worth it. "Do you still get to come for visiting hours or does that mean you have to work late?"

Jet shook his head, "Nah I won't have to work late, I will even get paid for the couple of hours I am gone, like I said they are working with me so it's great."

"Pretty cool," Jake agreed.

The three teenagers spent the rest of visiting time talking about all sorts of things from Jet's job to Jake's date the next night but nobody mentioned the bandage on Tony's arm until it was almost time to go and Jake brought it up.

"You do that?" he questioned his friend, nodding at his arm.

Tony looked down and sighed. "Rough morning. I hope I can sleep tonight so I don't have that problem." He noticed a sad look on Jet's face and felt tears coming to his own. "I'm sorry." He whispered.

Jet stood up and went to hug Tony tightly. "Don't be sorry…we'll make it through this like we always do. They will get you back on some meds and you won't feel like you have to do that anymore, just gotta hold out for a day or so from what Michael says this med wash thing should only be a few more days at the most."

Tony let out a sigh of relief for all the things Jet was saying. He then glanced at Gus. "But I will miss my insanity detail." He joked.

And just to be silly Gus flipped Tony off causing everybody in the room to bust up laughing.

The rest of the evening was rough but not for Tony instead Jenny and Ellie were being little hellions but not to the point they needed to be held or secluded…not yet anyway.

They just kept talking dirty and had to be sent to their room many times but that of course didn't help because they would continue said talk while in their room together.

The boys of the group were honestly scared to death when they started yelling at staff who was trying to correct their off-track conversations.

Tony felt his anxiety level getting higher and higher as the evening went on so by the time 8:00pm rolled around he needed to get away from the commotion. "Hey Gus can you take me outside for a few minutes? I feel like I'm going to blow out because of those crazy ass bitches."

Gus was weary of this but nodded and led Tony for the backdoor. "We can stand under the cover but no go out in the snow or where it's not light." He told the teen

Tony agreed with this and took a seat on the bench by the basketball area that was covered. "You know this place really needs a gym so we can play and get energy out without being out in the cold." He told Gus. "Also it would be another place for us to go if somebody is off track.

"That would be nice," Gus agreed. It was then he remembered something. He was supposed to talk to Tony about how he was going to productively spend his night if he was once again unable to sleep. "So what are you going to do tonight if you can't sleep?"

Tony was a bit taken back by the question but quickly recovered. "I don't know…I hope Jeremy and Sasha will let me be with them again." He replied and then thought of something he could do. "I was thinking of making something for Abby. I know we all made cards a few days ago but I thought I could make her something else."

"That is a nice idea," Gus agreed. "But that won't take up a whole night. What will you do to make sure you don't have what happened last night happen again?"

Tony sighed, "I don't know man…I guess just REALLY make sure I have supervision. But I guess what is most important is to keep busy but I don't know what to do."

"Well how about we go inside and make a list of things you can do? And then I think it will be time to get a snack and get ready for bed. Did you take a shower this morning?"

" I guess I should do that, but not sure what to do about my arm." Tony admitted again looking at his arm in disgust.

"We will talk to Rocky about that after we make your list.'

So with that the two guys walked back inside and took a seat in the dining room with a piece of paper and a pen and jotted down some ideas of what to do.

Play cards/board game with Jeremy and Sasha

Art project for Abby & Cosmo

Listen to music

Read Kindle

Do quiet cleaning

Help staff with client friendly projects

Take a bath

Make a list of things to talk to the doctor or therapist about

Eat a snack

Make a fort

The last one both Gus and Tony were unsure about but they figured he would at least get SOME sleep and then not make it to number 10 anyway. Once he was done with his list Gus helped Tony grab his shower stuff. He was allowed to grab his hair products, body wash and a rag/towel but nothing else. He wasn't allowed his toothbrush yet since it could be used to hurt himself since it was now obvious to the staff he was creative when it came to self-harm.

Tony took about twenty minutes in the shower since nobody else was behind him. He hated it but he did take some time to do 'boy' things and felt much better after doing it. After drying off he put on his PJ's and slippers and padded his way out to the main area where thankfully things were quiet once again. It appeared Jenny and Ellie had gone to sleep so now it was only Anthony and Tony awake, or at least out on the unit. Normally Donny, Timmy, Jimmy and Leon went to bed earlier then the girls or the other two boys.

"So I just heard through the grapevine that we might wake up to a new kiddo tomorrow." Anthony said from his spot at the computer. He was looking at something so intently Tony was almost expecting to see porn on the screen instead of silly animal videos.

"Oh yeah I bet it's that guy Jet was talking about that he was taking care of in the ER. "I hope he's nice." Tony replied as he took a seat on the couch and just spread his legs and relaxed.

"Yeah think his name is Toby or something like that…maybe you'll get to hang out with him if he comes in tonight."

Tony nodded, "That would be kind of fun. I can be a good welcoming committee." He said with a smile.

It was then Mark came in the room with a cup of 'Sleepy Time' tea and a ham and cheese sandwich for Tony. "Here you go Buddy."

Tony wasn't sure he liked being called 'buddy' but of course didn't say anything since he knew Mark was just trying to be nice. "Thanks." He said going to the table to drink and eat his snack.

Once he was done he looked at the clock seeing it was almost 9:30pm which was lights out. "I am going to go try and read and then go to sleep." He told Anthony.

"I'm heading that way too." The other teen said as he shut down the computer and stretched with a yawn. "See you in the morning or the middle of the night if you're awake. I hope Toby or whatever his name is, is nice to you if he comes." With that Anthony headed toward his room to get ready for bed.

Tony turned to Gus, "You have to be in my door right? Well until Jeremy comes."

"Yup." Gus said as they headed down the hall to Tony's room. "I will be quiet."

Tony smiled, "I know." So Tony used the bathroom and climbed into bed. He read a few pages in his Kindle and then turned off the light. "Goodnight Gus." He said to the other guy before closing his eyes and falling right to sleep…if only it would stay that way.
