Hello everyone, I was hoping to have this up on Wednesday, but this week has been really busy and I'm house sitting and have no internet. I would like to thank all of you for your wonderful reviews last chapter and for just reading my story.
"Why am I spending my first day of winter break with you?" Santiago says shoving Puck in the back jokingly.
"Because it's not like you can take Brittany Christmas shopping when you're shopping for her." Puck jokes as they walk into the mall.
"Yeah, well I'd still prefer to hang out with her." Santiago says.
"It's not like I wouldn't like to be with Quinn instead of you." Puck says. "Now where are we going?" he asks.
"I don't know, I'm still trying to figure out what to get her." Santiago says a worried look on his face.
"How do you not know? God now we're going to be here forever." Puck says throwing his arms in the air.
"She's giving me a child, what can I give her that could possibly compare?" Santiago asks.
"So long as it's from you she'll like it." Puck points out.
"I just want to get her something special." Santiago says looking at some diamond rings in a display case they pass.
"Can you actually afford that?" Puck skeptically asks.
"Yeah, I have a job."
Flashback
"I got the job." Santiago says sweeping Brittany in his arms.
"Really?" Brittany asks.
"Yep, you're looking at the newest member of the Lima Courtesy Car sales team." Santiago says kisses her.
"That's great Sanny." Brittany says.
Santiago had been looking for a job for the last few weeks, but couldn't find something that could accommodate him being in high school still and paid enough to be worth it. He knew raising a child will be expensive and that both their moms would have to help a lot financially, but he's determined to help while he can.
"Now I can take out on an expensive date with my own money." Santiago proudly says.
"What about school and when you leave to go to college? I can't believe that they would just give you this job for a few months." Brittany says snuggling into him.
"The owner goes to all our football games and thinks that having me work for him will help sell more cars. He knows that I'm going to be going off to college in August and is fine with that." Santiago tells her kissing the top of her head.
"I'm glad that you found something."
End Flashback
"Damn I need to get a job." Puck says as they walk passed Victoria Secret and he looks inside.
"No and yeah, luckily the owner lets me work in the afternoon and on the weekend. But we're going to need the money once the baby comes and I go to school even though our moms will help out too." Santiago says happy that he was able to get such a good job.
"I can't believe that you're still finding enough time to work, take care of your girl and still do well in school." Puck says in awe as he has a hard time just taking care of his girl and passing his classes.
Santiago though isn't paying attention to Puck as he's seen it. What he's going to get Brittany for Christmas.
"This is it,"
000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
Quinn's beyond nervous, this is going to be shocking to see. She's defiantly more nervous than Brittany is. Brittany doesn't get why her friend is so nervous it's not really scary at all.
"Quinn clam down we're just going to see the baby and find out the gender." Brittany says placing a hand on her bouncing leg.
"Sorry, but I've never done this sort of thing before." Quinn says which makes Brittany frown as her friend is not making sense.
"Quinn, this is easy okay. All that's going to happen is that Dr. Chung is going to put gel on my stomach and use an ultra sound to look at the baby." Brittany calmly says.
"I get that, but what if Santiago gets angry at me that I brought you without him knowing." Quinn asks feeling slightly less nervous now.
"Quinn," Brittany sighs. "This is going to be his Christmas present. I know he wants to now the gender, but I wanted to wait so I could surprise him."
This surprises Quinn as it's a really thoughtful and wonderful present now that she knows.
"That's wonderful,"
Dr. Chung comes in with a smile on her face. She'd been shocked when Brittany had called to make an appointment. When she had found out that it was going to be Santiago's Christmas present she thought it was a wonderful idea and promised not to tell Santiago.
"Hello Brittany are you ready to find out the gender of your baby?" Dr. Chung says.
"Yep,"
A few minutes later Dr. Chung is frowning as she looks at the screen.
"Well this is unexpected and explains a lot. I can't believe that I missed this." Dr. Chung says.
"Is something wrong?" both Quinn and Brittany ask.
"No…but"

"Sanny! Britty! It's Christmas eve!" Katie shouts jumping on their bed.
"Give us a few minutes Katie and we'll be down to help make pancakes." Santiago says stretching his arms above his head.
"Good morning," Brittany softly says kissing his jaw.
"You ready for a fun filled day with our family?" Santiago asks.
"Yes I am," Brittany says snuggling into his side.
They are in Colorado at a private cabin at a ski lodge that Maria rented out for them for the week. She and Susan both thought it would be good to get their kids out of Lima for Christmas. Away from all the crazy that has been going on since they found out about the pregnancy.
"Come on Britt let's get up before Katie decides to come back up." Santiago says slowly getting up.
"Carry me downstairs." Brittany says reaching her arm up.
Santiago chuckles and picks her up easily careful of her medium sized baby bump. It's still not really visible when she wears his clothes which she has been doing a lot lately. Carrying her down the stairs they're greeted by awes from their moms and a yay pancakes from Katie. He shakes his head as he puts her down.
"Stop staring, she wanted me to carry her down here." Santiago says blushing.
"Maria you sure raised a fine boy." Susan softly says as they watch Santiago get Brittany whatever she wants.
"I don't know how much of that is my raising him or the fact that he's beyond whipped for your daughter." Maria says looking a little sad.
Susan tries to not laugh as Santiago allows Brittany to feed him pancakes.
"So I thought we'd spend the morning baking cookies for Santa." Susan says smiling at her daughters and Santiago.
Katie is bouncing excited to bake cookies. She jumps into Maria's arms who has never baked cookies before with them and isn't sure how to help. All the other years she's worked on Christmas eve so she can have Christmas day off.
"You can help me Sanny's mom." Katie says smiling.
Brittany and Santiago sit at the table rolling out the dough and cutting them into shapes that Katie has preapproved. Santiago chuckles watching his mom getting ordered around by Katie as they help Susan make the dough.
"Your mom is having a good time." Brittany says leaning into him.
"I think she misses me being that young and wants to make up for not being there as much when I was younger." Santiago says leaning his head on her shoulder.
"Well I'm glad we get to spend the holidays together as a family." Brittany softly says.
"Yeah it is pretty cool how supportive our moms are." Santiago says thinking it could be way worse if they weren't. "I mean that they get along and all."
"Hush, I know, but does it really surprise you." Brittany whispers.
"No I guess not."
With that they set to their task of rolling the dough out. An hour later Susan puts the last tray of cookies in the oven.
"Well now that that's done what should we do?" Susan asks.
"Go build a snow fort so we can have a snowball fight!" Katie shouts pulling Maria to the door. "You can be on my team Sanny's mom."
"Hold up Katie, you have to get your snow gear on." Susan reminds her daughter.
Maria loves spending time with the Pierce's and now understands why her son has spent so much time at their house. Little Katie really is something and it makes her wish she had had another child as Santiago is so good with her.
"I think we're going to-"
Santiago is cut off by Brittany coming in already dressed to go out in the snow.
"I get San on my team." Brittany says sticking her tongue out at her little sister. "Come on San, get dressed we need to go scoop out the best spot for a snow fort."
"Fine," Santiago sighs knowing better than to argue with her.
"We'll see you three out there." Brittany says heading out.
"Britt be careful." Santiago softly says following after Brittany.
"It's snowing Sanny," Brittany says smiling.
"Yes, but you have to be careful. I get worried." Santiago softly says placing his hands on her baby bump.
"I'll be fine plus you'll be with me the whole time." Brittany says wrapping her arms around his neck.
Reluctantly Santiago takes her out to find the perfect spot to build their fort. He picks her up so she doesn't have to walk in the snow though it's more for his own peace of mind.
"You know I can walk." Brittany says her arms looped around his neck.
"Maybe, but if you fall I'll freak out." Santiago says placing her gently down next to where he wants to build the fort.
Brittany just smiles at how cute he's being. She leans over to kiss him when their moms and Katie come out.
"Mommy, Sanny's mom over there across from them. That's where we should build our fort." Katie says glaring over at her sister.
For the next twenty minutes both sides build their forts and stack enough snowballs to last them a good ten minutes. Santiago wouldn't let Brittany help build the fort, but did allow her to make the snowballs. Susan chuckles at how over protective he is of her daughter. Katie's just happy to be spending time with everyone she loves even Sanny's mom who's really nice just like Sanny. Maria's having the time of her life. She never thought that she'd actually be playing in the snow at her age.
"I can't wait till next year when we have a grandchild to look after as well." Maria sighs.
"Yeah we'll defiantly have way more presents under the tree as I plan on spoiling it rotten." Susan says smiling.
"Of course, I can't believe I've missed so much of their lives working." Maria says packing the snow in.
"You were working to support Santiago and half the time my own daughter. Trust me he doesn't blame you." Susan tells her friend.
"But-"
"You took care of him that's all he remembers. You made sure to always be there on his birthday, Christmas and all the other important holidays. That's what he remembers not that you weren't the one picking him up after football." Susan says giving her friend a hug.
"Sanny's mom, we're ready." Katie says a huge smile on her face.
"Yes we are Katie."
0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
A few wet and fun hours later Maria and Santiago sit in the living room while the Pierce's cook a late lunch.
"Here mijo, I want to give this to you without Brittany knowing." Maria says handing him a small square box and an envelop.
"Mami," Santiago says opening the box to see his mom's mom's wedding ring. "I can't-"
"Yes you can mijo and when you're ready you give it to Brittany. That girl deserves the best for giving you your guy's first child." Maria tells her son.
"I can't take the ring and the money." Santiago says after opening the envelope.
"Sweetie you'll need the money to help take care of your family. It was going to be your college fund, but since you got a scholarship use it to take care of your child." Maria tells him.
They have a stare down for several minutes before Santiago finally gives in.
"Fine, but you get to explain to Brittany why you gave us all this money." Santiago says smirking.
"Shit," Maria says as Brittany hates taking money.
"Yeah," Santiago says smirking.
They settle into a comfortable silence until Maria decides to break it.
"I'm sorry I wasn't around all the time or as much as I wished I could have been when you were younger cause I had to work." Maria softly tells him.
"I knew you had to, to provide for us. I had both you and Mrs. Pierce to always make sure I stayed out of trouble. Don't sell yourself short mami, you always made sure that I knew how much you loved me. You were around for all the important things like my first varsity football game. Britt sees you as a second mom so you defiantly were around a lot." Santiago tells her giving her a huge hug. "Just because Mrs. Pierce was the one that often picked us up from school doesn't mean you weren't around or that you worked on some "holidays" so you could be there on more important ones. I've never thought that you neglected me. Mrs. Pierce could do all that because she didn't have to work. I'm glad I got to spend the times you had to work at her house instead of daycare."
"Thank you for being the best son ever."
Maria feels much better after hearing her son tell her these things. She's glad to hear that Brittany thinks of her as a second mom cause she thinks of her as the daughter she never had.
"Maria, Katie and my mom want your help out back as they're trying to grill chicken and think you'll be able to help more than me." Brittany says sitting down in Santiago's lap.
"Does this happen every year?" Maria asks getting up.
"Yep, get your snow gear on cause you'll end up making snowmen with Katie while you wait." Brittany warns her.
"Not going to come out?" Maria asks knowing her son would like it if Brittany rests.
"No I need to rest of I'm going to fall asleep eating." Brittany chuckles.
Maria leaves the young lovebirds curled together on the couch.
"So do you think we'll have lunch before three?" Santiago asks looking at the clock to see that it's already two.
"Nope, but I'm sure you could sneak some cookies for you hungry belly." Brittany giggles as his stomach growls.
"Worrying about you over doing it caused me to work up an appetite." Santiago says.
"Sorry, but I love Christmas." Brittany says yawning.
"Take a nap baby."
Santiago doesn't get a response as Brittany is already fast asleep. All he can do is smile at how fast she goes from being awake to fast asleep. Brushing her hair out of her face, he kisses her cheek. Moving his hand down her baby bump to calm their child who always likes to kick right when she finally falls asleep. He can't wait until she has to waddle to walk as he thinks that's the cutest thing ever. He wishes he could marry her so their child isn't born out of wedlock, but he's not going to ask her when they're still in high school and she's only sixteen he can wait a few more years.
00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
"It's eight now mom." Katie says coming back into the kitchen where Maria and Susan are doing dishes. "You said we could open the presents at eight."
"Okay Katie, let's just go-"
"I'll get them!" Katie shouts.
After waking up from her nap and eating lunch Brittany had gone upstairs to take a nice warm bath as her back and ankles were starting to bug her a bit. Maria had suggested the bath as she remembers that helped a lot when she was pregnant. Of course Santiago went with her so their still up there even though they've been out of the tub for a good two hours.
"Britt I want to give you your present now while we're alone." Santiago says a little nervous to tell her.
"Okay, good I have your present too." Brittany says pulling out a small box from under the bed.
Santiago hands her a long small rectangle box, taking a deep breath as she opens it.
"San, this is gorgeous." Brittany gushes.
Santiago is all smiles as he puts the diamond tennis bracelet on her wrist. She kisses his cheek as she stares down at her wrist.
"When I saw it I knew I had to get it for you." Santiago says glad that she likes it so much. "Oh and my mom gave us this." he gives her the very thick large envelop.
Brittany frowns as she opens the envelop to see a lot of hundreds. She doesn't get why Maria would give them so much money.
"San,"
"Apparently this was my college fund, but I don't need it anymore with the scholarship offers." Santiago explains. "She says it will help with the baby and all. We will need all the help we can get."
The silence is killing Santiago as he thinks she's going to get angry about him taking the money.
"We'll need it, I'm glad that your mom can help us financially." Brittany softly says handing him his present while putting the envelop on the nightstand.
"I'm glad you're not angry about the money. I know you don't like taking money from others." Santiago says carefully unwrapping his present.
"I realized a week ago that we're going to need a lot of help from our moms if we both want to go to college or anything like that." Brittany says as he frowns at his present.
"Babe why did you give me a sonogram with two babies labeled boy?" Santiago asks confused.
"Quinn took me to the doctor as I wanted to find out the sex of the baby to surprise you and I got one myself. We're having twin boys." Brittany says smiling.
"Boys, twins," Santiago gasps staring wide eyed at her.
He looks down at the sonogram then back up to Brittany. He can't believe that their having not one son, but two. He guesses that's why her baby bump is so big and why she started showing so soon. Though he doesn't get how the doctor missed the second baby twice.
"Babe, how did she miss the fact that we're having twins?" Santiago asks wrapping his arms around her.
"I'm not sure, but she thinks it's because he was hiding behind his brother." Brittany softly says leaning back into him. "Are you happy?"
"Happy, I'm ecstatic!" Santiago says standing up and picking her up.
He spins them around before putting her back on the ground and giving her a huge kiss.
"We're having twin boys." Santiago happily says.
Before Brittany can reply Katie throws open the door.
"Present time!" Katie shouts grabbing Brittany's hand and trying to pull her out.
"Katie," Santiago says picking her up. "You can't pull on your sister, it makes me nervous."
"Why?" Katie asks as they walk downstairs.
"The baby, you know how the baby is in her belly." Santiago says. "Well I get worried when you jump around her or try and pull on her."
"Okay," Katie says smiling.
They walk into the living room to see three piles of presents. Katie's is much larger than either Brittany's or Santana's as they're older and get more expensive gifts. Katie rips open her gifts loving that she got all the Barbie's, Legos and the new bike that she wanted. Brittany got a new phone, laptop and a cute little green onesie. Santiago got a new TV and from both his mom and from both his mom and Susan a new hybrid SUV.
"This is too much mami." Santiago says.
"Yeah Maria you already gave us all that money." Brittany says.
"Hush you two it's our money and we'll do what we want with it." Susan tells them.
"Thanks mom, Maria,"
Katie throws her little arms around them all yelling thank you.
"So we know that you both said that you didn't want us to get you any presents, but Brittany thinks you'll really enjoy this one." Santiago says smiling as Brittany gives them each a box.
Katie sits in between the two women really excited to see what her sister and Sanny got them. Opening the gifts the two women frown as they pull out a blue shirt that says best grandma from your grandson's.
"Brittany," Susan says looking up at her daughter. "This doesn't mean what I think it means."
Brittany just nods smiling.
"Oh mijo, I'm so happy for the both of you." Maria says wiping tears out of her eyes.
"What's going on?" Katie asks not understanding.
Susan pulls Katie into her lap and lets her hold the shirt and read it.
"Brittany's having twin boys sweetie." Susan tells her youngest daughter.
"Cool,"
0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
"Merry Christmas," Santiago whispers picking up his sleeping girlfriend from the couch to carry her up to their room.
"It's Christmas?" Brittany groggily says burying her head into his chest.
"Yep and it's snowing so we'll have a nice layer of snow for when we go ice skating." Santiago says setting her on their bed.
"You're going to let me ice skate?" Brittany says waking up a bit at that.
"I can't stop you from doing anything, but yeah I'll be holding your hand the whole time." Santiago says kissing the top of her head.
Santiago crawls into bed and motions Brittany to join him. She snuggles next to him wrapping his arm around her.
"Night Sanny,"
"Night babe, night my boys."
Just to clear up a few things that some of you might have a problem with or questions about. I realize that Santiago in the real world wouldn't likely get a job selling cars for a few months, but that's the part time job I wanted him to have and it won't be mentioned at any other points really in this story. Also I know that it's unlikely that the doctor missed twins at that point, but I added the twins in just a few days ago and I like the twist it adds.
