The following morning Andy woke up and couldn't believe how exhausted she was, she was sore all over and sleepy, like she hadn't slept in days. But looking over to her right she could see Sam's sleeping form on a chair. Andy shifted herself in the bed to get off and go to the bathroom.

Sam was in a deep sleep so he thought, at the sound of a creek Sam bolted upright and could see Andy right in front of him on her feet.

"Good morning." Andy said

"Good morning, what are you doing up?" Sam asked

"The bathroom" Andy replied

Sam immediately stood up and supported Andy and walked her to the bathroom. Sam was waiting for Andy outside when the nurse walked in with little Scarlett in her crib. Sam immediately washed his hands and scooped Scarlett out and he cradled her up to his chest.

When Andy walked out Sam walked to her side and held onto Scarlett with one hand and held into Andy with the other. When Andy was back on her bed Sam handed Scarlett over to her mommy.

"Nine months" Andy said but Sam didn't understand why or where she was going with it "For nine months I carried her and now she's here and I still can't believe it."

"Well believe it because we might be able to take her home today" Sam told Andy sitting next to her in the bed and grabbing her hand tentatively.

Andy leaned into Sam's body.

Shortly after Traci arrived with Steve and Leo to visit the new mom and dad. Steve had caved in and bought all the balloons and the giraffe that Leo thought the baby might like.

"Oh my gosh Andy she's beautiful" Tracy cooed over her new niece.

"Mom can I see the baby?" Leo asked

"Sure you can baby" Tracy replied to her son in a very calm voice.

Sam helped Leo onto the bed and sat him down next to Andy and Tracy placed Scarlett in Leo's arms while Andy helped with supporting little Scarlett's head.

"So what's this beautiful girl's name?" Steve asked

"Oh my gosh how could I forget, Spit it out Andy." Tracy demanded jokingly

"Her name is Scarlett Rose Swarek" Andy finally told her best friend and actually felt relieved that her best friend final knew.

"I love it, and it is such a perfect name for her. Little rose." Tracy told and Andy and Sam and proceeded to hug each of them.

Upon hearing Tracy call his daughter Little Rose Sam knew she would be his perfect little Rose.

Tracy, Leo and Steve stayed around for half an hour before they left to go back to work.

They all promised to visit once Andy and the baby were all settled in at home and were both less tired.

Tracy and Luke were raiding an industrial building that they had suspected was a part of the smuggling ring.

Upon entering the building, the space looked completely empty until they reached the main office which was covered wall to wall with pictures of women of all sorts of backgrounds. What was more shocking was that the women were all pregnant which reassured them that those women were being followed and were under surveillance for the kidnapping of their baby's.

"Tracy check this out." Luke called out in a panicked voice.

As Tracy turned around she was more than shocked to see pictures of her best friend Andy McNally.

"Oh my gosh" Tracy said out loud

"Where's Andy at right now?" Luke asked concerned for her safety

"At the hospital with Sam, I just left her about an hour ago." Tracy replied

Luke immediately dialed Sam's number

"Detective Swarek" Sam said answering his phone

"Sam, are Andy and the baby okay?" Luke asked which Sam found strange and concerning

"Yeah they are what's going on Luke?" Sam asked

"Sam listen okay the smuggling ring, we found surveillance images of Andy and you okay. They might be after the baby. I am sending officers to sit outside of the hospital room for now." Luke told Sam and they arranged and made sure her condo was checked out.

Luckily Andy had been asleep during Sam and Luke's conversation and didn't hear anything.

Sam had to decide whether telling Andy was a good thing or not. Sam did not want anything stressing Andy out and to cause her hurt and emotional distress.

Ten minutes after his conversation with Luke Sam heard a knock on the door and another officer from 15 division had arrived to keep guard.

Two hours later Andy woke up from her long nap and the doctor looked her over and Scarlett and assed them and found that they were both healthy to go home. Andy could tell something had changed with Sam; he was on pins and needles and definitely looked stressed out.

"Andy I need to tell you something very important." Sam said walking towards Andy

"Okay"

"Do you remember the case 15 has been working on for a while now, involving the death of infants?"

"Yeah, what about it?" Andy asked nervously not expecting what was going to come out of Sam's mouth.

"They have been doing surveillance on you for quite some time and Luke thinks they might be after you for the baby" Sam said but refused to tell her more

"What? Why?" Andy feared for her daughter's safety and Sam watched as tears flooded her eyes.

"Andy look at me, I am not going to let anything happen to you or Rose okay. I will do everything I can to keep you and our daughter safe. Luke has guards at your condo and outside of this room. No one is going to let anything happen to our daughter." Sam made sure he reassured Andy that she was safe and that their daughter was protected. Sam hugged Andy tightly until her eyes cleared up.

Tracy had returned to the hospital to make sure Andy, rose and Sam all made it home safe and untouched by evil. Tracy helped Andy change and get ready to leave the hospital while Sam packed everything up and made sure all the paper work was complete.

Andy had Scarlett on her chest covered with a blanket as Tracy and a nurse wheeled Andy out to the front entrance where Sam was with his truck. Sam strapped Rose in to her carrier and then helped Andy into the backseat.

Leaving the hospital Sam was followed by Tracy in her car and a marked unit.

When anyone from 15 Division was in trouble or in danger Sargent Best made sure his team was safe and had all the protection needed and especially when the life of a newborn baby girl was at stake.
