A/N: Here is the long awaited update, and I'm again sorry for having taken this long. I'm leaving on vacation in a week for three weeks, where I'll have no access to a computer to continue writing or updating. This is why I will try my best to post another chapter before Thursday. Thanks for reading, following and favouriting Adventure of a life time, and a big thank you to Guest, Moonprincess86, LoveFloraHelia and Guest for reviewing!
Some time had passed since all the drama. The Winx and the Specialists were back to their daily routines and were currently getting ready for classes.
"Stella, come on! We're going to be late, again!"
"I'm here! Geez, can't a girl do her nails in peace?" the blonde came out of her room.
As the girls made their way to class, Flora was lost in her thoughts. Since she had come back, she kept having nightmares and flashbacks. She couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen. And the fact that Valtor was back did not help her calm her nerves.
Aisha saw her best friend's thoughtful look and put a hand on her shoulder, breaking her from her trance. "You okay?"
"Huh? Oh! Y-yeah… I'm fine," Flora responded, quickly looking away.
"You know you can tell me anything Flo."
"I know, thanks," she smiled. "Actually-"
"Come on girls, hurry to your seats now," Miss Griselda instructed her students.
"I'll tell you later," Flora added, before they sat down at their respective seats.
Meanwhile, the guys were training at Red Fountain.
"Chris, dude, you have quite the moves," Brandon complimented his new teammate.
"Yeah that was pretty impressive," Helia added.
"My dad attended Red Fountain, so I kind of grew up learning how to fight and all. It's no big deal," Chris shrugged his shoulders.
"Your dad attended RF? Maybe my grandfather remembers him. What's his name?" Helia inquired.
"Oh, it's been a pretty long time. I don't think he'll remember him."
"Try him, Saladin remembers everything," Brandon told Chris.
"If you say so. His name's… Adrian. Adrian Blackthorne."
"Alright, I'll ask my grandfather about him. Let's continue training."
Soon, the week-end came and the Specialists invited the girls to go to Magix with them. Chris joined his teammates and followed them on their levabikes to Alfea. The girls were already waiting for them in the courtyard.
After having greeted their respective girlfriend, they presented Chris.
"Girls, meet Chris, our new teammate," Sky said.
"Hey, I've heard a lot about you from the guys. It's great to finally meet you," Chris said.
"I hope they have just said good things about us," Stella told him.
"Do not worry, Sunshine. There is nothing bad to say about you," Brandon put his arms around his girlfriend.
"Oh Snookums," Stella threw her arms around his neck and they started making out.
"I'm sorry about these two, the always show way too much PDA. But you'll learn to just ignore them," Riven patted the new member of the group on the back.
"I sure hope so."
The large group had a great evening in Magix. It had been a long time since they had just had fun together. They first went to eat pizza and then went bowling. Their night was filled with laughter and fun.
Flora was getting thirsty. She took her purse and walked over to the bar. Little did she know that someone had followed her.
"Getting tired?" Chris asked as he took a seat beside her.
They both ordered their drinks and she replied, "a bit, actually. How about you?"
"Nah, I'm a night person. I'm just getting started, honey," he said as he put his hand on Flora's thigh.
"Okay… Well, I'm going to go back to the others," Flora removed his hand from her thigh and wanted to get up, but Chris stopped her.
"Why babe, I thought we were having fun here, away from the others," he insisted and put his hand on her thigh again, this time more forcefully.
"Is everything alright here?" Helia said as he came over to the two. He had seen what had happened from afar and didn't like how close Chris was getting to his girlfriend.
"Everything's just fine, I was just getting to know your girlfriend a little better. She's definitely a keeper. I'll see you later," he left. As Helia had his back turned to him, Chris winked at Flora.
"You okay sweetie?" Helia asked while taking a seat beside the brunette and taking her hand into his.
"Yeah, Chris was just kind of weird. He probably had a drink too much," Flora brushed it off and leaned into her boyfriend.
"Probably," Helia repeated, but in the back of his mind made note that Chris had not had one drink that night. "How are you holding up? You must be getting tired. I mean, you're not fully recovered yet."
"I'm a bit tired, but I'll be fine. How are you?" she looked up at him.
They talked for a while before joining their friends. A little after midnight, the guys dropped the girls off at Alfea.
"Thanks for the great evening, we'll see you soon," Bloom said and the girls waved goodbye as the boys left.
Flora couldn't help but catch the smug look Chris threw at her. After having made their way to their dorm, the girls went separate ways for the night, wishing each other a good night. But before Aisha could go into her room, Flora caught her arm. "Can we talk?"
The two girls took a seat on Aisha's bed, "what's wrong Flora? You've been acting strangely lately."
"I have this feeling in my gut. A bad feeling. Like the one I had back on our holiday before I was kidnapped. I think something bad is going to happen," the brunette shared her concerns with her best friend.
"I think you should trust your feeling. It did turn out right last time. I think we should tell the others tomorrow, and all keep an eye out," Aisha suggested.
"That's a good idea. Oh, and there's another thing I wanted to talk about. Chris was really weird tonight. He called me 'honey' and 'babe' and put his hand on my thigh. When I wanted to leave, he kept me back saying we were having fun, away from you guys."
"Weird. How did you react?" Aisha's brow furrowed.
"Luckily, Helia came over right at that moment and Chris left. But he winked at me, and when the guys left, he gave a weird grin…" Flora shuddered at the memory.
"He is really weird. I'll keep my eyes on him, don't worry. Now let's get some sleep. I'm exhausted!" Aisha dramatically threw herself back on her bed.
Flora laughed, "Goodnight."
"Night."
Flora made her way back to her room quietly so as not to wake up Bloom who was sound asleep.
But before she could get into her bed she noticed a piece of paper on her bed that read: We only just got started, babe.
