And the mission continues! So here comes the next part of the suicidal mission of retrieving Wall Maria. I'm sad because humour is slowly vanishing from this story. Why, oh why?

No quotes this time. (A sad author is sad)

CHAPTER ELEVEN: Do you have a map? I'm getting lost in your eyes.

Harry sighed and twirled his wand between his fingers while he watched with bored eyes the sleeping soldiers at his feet.

They were all tucked in their sleeping bags and some were even snoring loudly, dead to the rest of the world.

However, the wizard didn't mind it, they had stayed awake the whole night to protect him and he was hellbent on repaying them by warding and protecting their house.

A Titan passed by the village and Harry ignored the earth shake that followed as the beast left without even glancing at their hideout.

The dark haired man sighed again and looked at the adult that was silently sleeping in the nearest spot to the door. Even asleep, the lance corporal didn't stop watching over his squad.

The wizard could relate to that.

As he was bored beyond reason, Harry took out the map of the Wall Maria and checked their progress. They had already crossed most of the map and all that was left was to go to the Shinganshina district portal. However, it wouldn't be easy as Rivaille had told him that there would be a lot of destroyed houses and gigantic rocks impeding their advancement.

He sighed again and began kneading his nose as he felt another headache incoming.

"Stop sighing," Rivaille's sleepy and slurred voice snapped softly.

Eren moved slightly in his sleep and Harry looked at his fake husband in surprise. The man was supposed to be extremely tired. He shouldn't be able to stay awake and even less conversing with him.

"Just sleep, Rivaille," Harry retorted calmly. "Nothing will happen today. We can even stay here for two days, I won't tire."

"We don't have anything to eat except potatoes," the lance corporal stated with a frown as he slowly sat in his sleeping bag.

Harry eyed with some amusement how his normally perfectly tamed hair was now sticking in all directions before sobering and glaring at the adult.

"Go back to sleep," he hissed. "Once you'll be sleeping, I'll go hunt some ducks or rabbits. I saw a lot of them earlier."

"And who will be watching over them when you'll leave the house?" Rivaille raised a brow and folded his arms on his chest. "We'll be sitting ducks like that. You won't get out of here."

"Still," the wizard insisted with a muffled voice as he didn't want to wake the teenagers. "You need to eat. I need to eat if you want to stay alive!"

"Then I'll go with you," the lance corporal frowned and tried to stand up.

But Harry was quick on his feet to push him so Rivaille could go to sleep once again.

"Don't," the green eyed man scowled. "You're so tired that I don't even want to bother you. Just rest here and look over the kids!"

"I would if an idiot didn't try to leave while we sleep," the soldier retorted as he didn't even move with the wizard's push.

The latter didn't appreciate that and frowned while scowling even more.

"When you put it like that," Harry slowly said as the air began to stir dangerously around him. "It seems that you suspect me of leaving you. Do you really think that I'd abandon you like that? Do you, Rivaille?"

The lance corporal didn't flinch or falter and just looked at the other man with his unblinking grey eyes.

"Should I?" he asked and he narrowed his eyes when he noticed that the copper and strange savour was back around him.

It seemed that Potter didn't like being suspected. The soldier sighed and rubbed his tired eyes before flopping down in his sleeping bag.

"Just do it if you want to leave us," Rivaille yawned and closed his eyes.

"Huh?" Harry exclaimed with surprise. "But! Weren't you minutes ago ready to fight me if I did?"

"You don't want to see us die," the other pointed while yawning again. "And I trust you on our promise. You'll protect the kids."

"You're really an unpredictable flea, you know?" Harry muttered under his breath as he leaned his back against the door.

Now that the man had said that he trusted him, he couldn't find in him the guts to actually go out and hunt their dinner/breakfast.

Curse his Saviour complex.

Harry closed his eyes and let the magic buzzing softly around lull him. The smell of mint increased and the wizard let out another sigh, this time relaxed.

Rivaille moved slightly in his sleeping bag and sighed softly. He was beginning to grow accustomed to the copper. Even if he still couldn't find out what was the other thing that he always tasted when Potter used his strange powers.

[...]

Sasha Blouse was having a pleasant dream about an endless banquet when she was softly shaken awake. The teenager blinked owlishly and rubbed her drool covered face before realising that the one who had woke her was Harry.

And after everything that had happened the other day, the young woman was quick on her feet to prostrate herself at his feet and kiss them fervently.

"Thank you, thank you!" she whispered while tears ran freely on her face. "I really thought that I was going to die!"

The man laughed nervously and pushed her softly so she could stop her frantic thanks.

"That was nothing, you protected me, remember?" Harry told her quietly while his green eyes shined brightly. He seemed in better shape than the other days and Sasha wondered how much it had costed him to protect the whole squad during their progression. "You're good with a bow?"

Sasha tilted her head and nodded slowly.

"Good!" the man exclaimed as he clasped her hands and trailed her to the roof of their hideout. "Stay here and shoot everything that you think will be delicious for our meals."

The brunette blinked stupidly before looking at their clasped hands. She had now a bow in her hands and Harry was already leaving the roof.

"How did he do that?" she muttered slowly. "I'm sure that he hadn't that bow with him before..."

But then, she didn't need to question her orders. He had said that she needed to take down their dinner. And Sasha Blouse was more than ready to shot some rabbits, deers and boars.

However, she quickly found that, even if she had shot dead on her targets, it didn't mean that they would gently come to their house.

And thus, two hours later, Sasha got down of the roof and looked for Harry. The man was busy tending Jean's injuries and Sasha remembered then that she had a broken wrist.

'That's strange,' she though quietly as she flexed her previously injured wrist. 'It doesn't hurt at all...'

"Ah, Sasha!" Harry greeted with a bright smile as Jean flinched because the man had tightened the bandages too much. "Have you finished?"

The brunette nodded and made a small smile.

"I did," she said with a fake enthusiasm. "Now I just have to get out to..."

"No, no, no!" the dark haired adult frowned and shook his head frantically. "I'll do it with Rivaille. It's our time alone!"

A small gagging sound followed the man's affirmation and Sasha noticed that Eren was now awake and pretty busy trying to not regurgitate everything on Armin's feet. And Jean wasn't faring better. The poor boy was now blue.

"There you go, Jean-bear!" Harry chirped as he patted lightly the teen's hear. "Try to not faint, 'kay?"

Jean muttered something under his breath and the green eyed male laughed brightly before nodding curtly.

"Okay, I won't get on it in front of you, no need to piss your pants!" he commented as he chuckled madly. He then paused and tilted his head before smiling brightly once again. "Ready, hubby?"

Sasha gaped as she recognised the expression that had briefly made Harry.

"What is it?" Historia asked her as their lance corporal kicked violently Harry.

"They have done it," Sasha whispered and she turned her shellshocked face to the blonde girl. "They have done it and I didn't see it."

Historia made a face and pouted slightly once she understood what the brunette had implied.

"Did they do it when we were sleeping?" she inquired with a soft voice.

"But captain was as tired as us," Armin piped from his spot (he was trying to help Eren feel better). "He didn't have the stamina to do it..."

Eren groaned loudly and hid his head in his hands.

"Don't underestimate Captain!" Sasha retorted as she folded her arms on her chest. "When a man wants something, he gets it!"

The titan shifter moaned in pain and shook his head. He didn't want to hear what they were discussing. He really didn't.

[...]

Harry sighed and kicked a random rock. The rock flew in the air and ricocheted various time before crashing against a tree. The wizard whistled softly and turned his head towards his companion before sobering and lowering his gaze to his feet.

Looking at the soldier's eyes was pretty difficult when the only thing that he could think was their previous kiss.

"Potter," Rivaille called with his cold and emotionless voice.

The wizard looked up and widened his eyes when he realised that he had a dead deer just in front of him. A arrows was on the animal's left eye.

"Damn," he whispered in amazement. "She's really good with a bow... A pity that titans can't die with an arrow in their neck."

Rivaille sighed and nodded curtly before tying a cord around the deer's legs. Once they were sure that the knot was strong enough, they continued moving and tying every dead animal that they came upon.

"How many arrows did you give her?" the lance corporal asked with a slightly tired voice.

Harry raised a brow and tried to hide his concern. His fake husband wouldn't like if he was concerned about his wealth. Even if he was.

"Twelve, maybe more, maybe less," the wizard answered as he quickly counted their preys.

Twelve. They had gotten everything now all that was left was to go back to the house.

"Let's go then," Rivaille announced quietly.

Harry nodded and observed silently the soldier's back. He was walking with his shoulders squared and his chin held high. However, Harry knew that the other man was still extremely tired. But he also knew that Rivaille wouldn't let him interfere and trail all the animals.

So the wizard just shrugged and took half of the cords and walked by Rivaille's side in silence. The soldier nodded sternly at him and Harry wasn't sure if he had hallucinated it but he saw a brief smile on his husband's face.

That quietness between them wasn't so bad.

[...]

Two days passed and by the end of the second day, everyone was back on his feet. Of course, Jean's ribs were still broken but he could finally move without wincing in pain. And Sasha's wrist didn't hurt anymore, she didn't even pay attention to it anymore.

Also, Eren had stopped fainting whenever he tried to stand up, the result of being in his Titan form during a whole night, and was now almost buzzing with energy like Connie who couldn't stop babbling with Harry. The smaller teen had developed something along a puppy crush for the man as the latter had saved everyone without breaking a sweat.

Meanwhile, Armin couldn't decipher if he was in the same case as Connie or if he was just amazed by Harry's capacities. He decided that he just really liked having the man by his side and his analytical side approved it. With the strange man with them, the odds were really good for their suicidal mission.

And then, there was Mikasa. The young girl didn't hate Harry, who would when the man had saved them since the first day of their expedition? But it didn't mean that she liked him. She had heard Eren's pained scream when the man had extracted him from his titan's self.

And thus, it was with tension overflowing in the team that they finally left the house. Sasha couldn't stop looking at it and sighed quietly once the house disappeared behind trees.

"Don't worry," Harry said without even looking at her. He had his eyes closed and his chin against his chest. "I won't let anything happen to you all."

Rivaille snorted softly and jumped on the chart to take the reins as his so called husband was leading it towards a big hole on the road.

"Smells of mint," the wizard whispered and he leaned his head on the lance corporal's shoulder. "Rivaille?"

The latter didn't answer and clicked his tongue when the cart avoided the hole and they continued running towards the Shiganshina district. He could already see a panel with the district name on it.

"Springer, Blouse," he called with a stern voice. "Get in position, we're entering the damaged zone."

The two teens nodded and gulped loudly as they saw a Titan walk slowly towards them. They didn't flinch and continued running at top speed, the cart behind them at less than two meters and Connie narrowed his eyes when he noticed a considerable bump in the road.

"A Titan is blocking the road!" he screamed behind his shoulder.

"Kill it and make sure it doesn't slow us," Rivaille ordered.

Connie nodded and leaded his horse to the left so he could surround the Titan while Sasha did the same by the other side. They both used their tridimensional gear and cut the titan's neck at the same moment. Connie swiftly jumped on Sasha's horse as the brunette did the same on his and they continued running while the cart went directly in the fuming remains of the Titan.

The road was bumpy as there were remains from the houses roof that had been destroyed by the titans' attack and Eren's meditation was quickly interrupted. The boy blinked and rubbed his aching head (he had taken a box full of potatoes on his head) and he looked around him before swearing loudly.

They were now at the entry of the Shiganshina district and still running for their lives as titans were slowly beginning to understand that they were around them.

Harry was loudly panting, his head on Rivaille's lap and the lance corporal was frowning harshly, his lips on a deadly scowl as he glared at every Titan.

"Connie!" he barked.

The teenager squeaked something and was already in the air, his blades out and ready to take out the Titan that had stretched his hands towards the cart. Rivaille cussed and forced the horses to make a sharp turn so they avoided a gigantic rock (that had probably been a roof) in the middle of the road.

And then, it happened.

Sasha screamed, Armin widened his eyes and tears began to run freely as he realised what had happened.

"No," Rivaille whispered as he turned his head to look at what had scared his squad. "Not now!"

But the Titan with an armour-like appearance was still there with Connie's unmoving body in its hand. He narrowed his eyes and turned his head towards Eren.

"Eren," he called with an icy voice. "I don't care how but destroy him."

The teenager had already his hand in his mouth by the end of Rivaille's order. Eren jumped from the cart and at the moment that his feet touched the ground, he was already in his Titan form and was violently punching the armoured Titan.

The armoured Titan let Connie's body fall and Rivaille watched it with dead eyes while he expertly avoided the rocks on the road. Connie's body didn't touch the ground as Historia had left the formation and had taken the boy in her arms, falling from her horse and rolling in the road.

"Sasha!" Rivaille glanced at the brunette and the teenager nodded before leaving the formation to go help Historia. The two females jumped on their horses and Connie was swiftly put on Historia's horse while Sasha used her tridimensional gear to jump on a titan's shoulder and cut his neck. She avoided its hand and jumped on her horse while the titan vanished in a white steam.

"Potter," the lance corporal looked at the man whose head was still on his lap. "Wake up, your protection isn't working."

Green eyes snapped open and the wizard glared at the soldier.

"It is working," he snapped before taking out his wand and looking around him to assess the situation. "It's not my fault that they were on high alert here. We need to take refuge somewhere. Think it's possible?"

"How long will it take you to protect a house?" Rivaille asked as they crossed the bridge to the Shiganshina district.

"Depending from the size of it," Harry answered honestly while he bit nervously his lips. "No more than thirty minutes."

"Armin and Jean will come with you," the soldier said after some thinking. "We'll try to keep them at bay."

"Just try to come back alive," Harry said with a frown before jumping on Jean's horse and almost falling of it as he wasn't accustomed to riding it. "Let's go!"

The wizard tried to ignore the teenagers' battered faces and how Connie's head was dangling like a puppet without strings in Historia's arms. He just tightened his hold on Jean and pressed his head against the boy's back. And if the teenager's body was shaking, the man didn't comment on that. Connie was his friend.

Harry's face darkened and he felt his magic rise and buzz around him. This wasn't supposed to happen. He had placed the protection runes on the cart and spilled his blood the same morning.

This sudden attack just meant something that he hadn't thought about.

The titans were helped by wizards.

Harry gritted his teeth and closed his eyes and he prayed for his friends' lives.

[...]

When the night fell, Harry was ready to just barge outside and get into a blood frenzy. Armin and Jean weren't faring better and they were already talking about their remaining options.

But then the most incredible and loved sound for Harry sounded and his eyes widened before he ran to the entry of the house.

"This isn't like last time," Rivaille commented when he saw his so called husband run towards him and tackle him against the destroyed cart.

"Where are the others? Where are they?" Harry inquired as his face paled when he imagined what could have happened.

"We're all here," Mikasa's tired voice said and the wizard blinked frantically so he could chase away his tears of relief.

"Eren? Historia? Sasha? And... Connie?" he asked with a slightly trembling voice.

Rivaille sighed deeply and shook his head.

Harry's eyes widened in horror and he fell on his knees.

"Merlin," he muttered with a blank voice. "I was supposed to protect you..."

"Springer is alright," the lance corporal finally said with an annoyed voice. "He just fainted and pissed his pants. Also, we lost the potatoes."

"You lost the potatoes?" Harry repeated as he tried to understand what the other had just said.

Connie was alive. They were all alive. But they had lost the potatoes.

"Eren thought that it was a good idea to use them as projectiles against the Titan," Rivaille answered as he glanced at the Titan shifter who gulped nervously.

"Sorry about that," Eren immediately said as he bowed in front of Harry. "I know that they were important for your capacities! I'm so sorry!"

"They weren't that important, you know," Harry shrugged lightly. "It's just that I like to begin a day with fish and chips."

"So that's why you always disappeared and went back with a fish every morning," Historia commented with a tired smile.

"Yep," the wizard nodded with a smirk and pushed softly the teenager towards the house that he had efficiently warded against titans and wizards.

This time, he had been more cautious and had put three wards, one above the other. Even Maugrey Mad-Eye wouldn't have been able to bypass them. Voldemort was another issue but Harry was pretty sure that the Dark Lord would have had some difficulties to pass the wards.

"It feels different," Rivaille said as they entered the invisible dome of protection. "Stronger than before..."

"It is," Harry answered in a soft whisper so the teenager couldn't hear them. "Now that we're in Shiganshina, it will be trickier to advance. So this is our new base. What do you think of it?"

"It's in the middle of Shiganshina," the soldier retorted with a shrug. "That's a feat in itself Potter."

"That's what I thought," the wizard smirked as he opened the door of the house. "Welcome to our humble abode. We also have showers with hot water and a pantry full of meat!"

Sasha squealed in happiness and ran towards the kitchen while Historia and Mikasa staggered behind her while helping Eren and Connie who were too tired to walk.

Left alone at the entry, Rivaille looked at the wizard and raised a brow.

"Showers?" he inquired.

"Showers that I cleaned with special attention," Harry specified with a large grin. "And the water is clean, I made sure of that."

"What about the meat?"

"There are a lot of ducks here, I didn't even have to leave the house."

Rivaille felt then his body relax and curtly nodded before closing his eyes.

"Hey, don't fall asleep on me like last time, flea!" the wizard mumbled as he shifted slowly to adapt his added weight.

The soldier muttered something that Harry couldn't understand and leaned even more on the raven haired. The latter sighed in aggravation and took the lance corporal's arm to put it around his neck before waking to their new base.

Rivaille was already sleeping when Harry opened the door and greeted the nervous and battered teenagers with a little smile.

"Glad to see that everyone is alive," he said as he walked to the stairs (that he had repaired previously) and climbed then with some problems as he had a heavy soldier in his arms.

Rivaille was maybe tiny but he weighed a lot. Maybe because he was muscled and wore that tridimensional gear. That thing weighed a lot.

The soldier sighed softly and Harry tensed when he felt his breath caress his neck. A blush slowly arose on his face and he closed briefly his eyes to try to keep his mind clear.

"Hum... Do you need help?" Jean asked him with a nervous face.

It was pretty excusable as he clearly didn't want to interrupt any intimate moment between the married couple.

"Yes, thank you," Harry answered as he let the brown haired teenager take Rivaille's other arm and help him climb the stairs to the second floor.

Once there, Harry walked to one of the rooms and opened the door with his foot while he swiftly walked in and put his husband on the bed that was in the middle of the room.

"How is it even possible that the bed is there?" Jean muttered as he frowned. "And the covers are fleshly made! Harry, could it be a trap?"

The wizard chuckled softly and took Rivaille's boot to put them at the bed feet. Then, he looked at Jean and shook his head.

"It isn't a trap, I was the one who removed the dust and fleas from the house. Remember that orange light when we first came here?"

The teenager opened his mouth and slowly closed it as his eyes lightened in understanding.

"That story that you told us," he said in a soft murmur as he didn't want to wake his captain. "Are you really a magician?"

"I prefer the term wizard," Harry shrugged and went out of the room with Jean on his tail.

The young soldier had his eyes open wide and was gaping like a fish.

"Jean," the wizard said as they got to the first floor. "You live in a world where humans can become titans if their blood are shed. Are wizards impossible to believe in?"

The teenager closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"It isn't like it is impossible," he explained as he kept his eyes closed. The brown haired boy opened suddenly his eyes and glared at the adult. "It's the idea that people able to stop the titans are existing out there and didn't help us that doesn't seem right..."

Harry flinched slightly and looked at his hands. His wand was still out and he was continuously sending his magic to the barriers. He could already feel the soft rumble of the now permanent layers of protection around the house and remembered how Hermione was able to protect a house as big as the Burrow without even breaking a sweat. Harry was way stronger than her and that was without the Deathly Hallows to increase his power.

If he had really wanted, he could have killed every Titan that they had met during their expedition and wouldn't have been as tired as he was now.

If he had gone alone, he would have been able to go to the Shiganshina district without stoping every night.

Merlin, any wizard would have been able to ditch the soldiers and would have disappeared out there.

He widened his eyes in horror and began to hyperventilate as he slowly realised why the magic around him felt so wild and why he couldn't apparate somewhere else.

He was in a warded zone with anti-apparition shields like in Hogwarts. He then remembered Historia's revelations.

'You're the god who will destroy this world'

That was what she had told him without even batting an eyelash. She had been dead serious about this.

"Yeah," Harry muttered darkly. "It doesn't seem right at all..."

Jean observed him silently and went to meet the others while the wizard closed his eyes and began to swear in his head.

He was a fool. The biggest one. And the worst was that even if he knew what was going on here, what kind of atrocities had happened in this place and with those people, he was still going to help his fake husband and his teenager squad.

[...]

Midnight had already passed when Harry awoke with his heart beating madly. He looked around him while panting loudly before putting his head in his joined hands. Something moved softly by his side and he creaked an eye open and glanced at the man that was sleeping soundlessly by his side.

Harry observed silently the expressionless face and the bangs that were hiding the closed eyes of the man before he sighed heavily and got out of the bed. He looked around him and finally saw the soldier's boots. He spared a glance to the still sleeping man and put his boots on while he got out of the room and silently went down the stairs.

He passed in front of the sleeping squad, they were all sleeping in their sleeping bags in a sort of heap of limbers and soft snores. Harry smiled softly and moved slowly his wand.

"Somnio," he whispered.

Soft blue orbs got out of his wand and floated to the sleeping teenagers before settling on their heads. Once he was sure that no one was going to wake up, Harry opened the door and got out of the house. The wards buzzed softly and the wizard closed his eyes and he appreciated the wind and sound of nature before he opened his eyes and glared daggers at the person that was sat just at the border of his wards.

"Mister Potter," the being greeted with a polite smile and nod.

Harry narrowed his eyes and walked silently to the person before stoping right where the shields stopped.

"I know you," the wizard finally said after some minutes where the other shifted nervously. "You were in Eren's memories."

The person's face contorted in a grimace and the person looked down briefly before raising his head and meeting Harry's green eyes.

"I have a proposition for you, Mister Potter," he said and his face hardened in a scowl. "Leave with us and we won't kill them."

Harry raised a brow and slowly folded his arms before patting his wand against his forearm. He noticed that the other was looking at the wand nervously and smirked. So he knew about magic. This confirmed his theory.

"Really?" he drawled and the person twitched. "You'll have to elaborate a bit more, Berthold..."

The dark haired teenager flinched when he heard his name and bit nervously his lips.

"You're the reason that we invaded and destroyed the Walls, mister Potter," the Titan shifter explained as his face blanched.

Probably because he had seen how Harry's wand had emitted some green sparks. Green was never a good colour with a wizard. Never.

"Explain. Now."

The adult's voice was as cold as an iceberg and his eyes were flashing death curses at the teenager. If the latter didn't tell him the truth, he would kill him. Even if the truth didn't please him.

"Without you, the Titan massacre would have never happened," Berthold answered while gulping nervously.

Sometimes, the truth could hurt way more than a lie.

[...]

Rivaille awoke with a start and rolled out of his bed while glaring around him. The copper was now stronger around him, he could almost feel it tightening its hold on his throat.

Something had happened with Potter.

His heartbeat accelerated and he jumped out of the room and ran out of the house while taking out his blades, his tridimensional gear was already on his hips.

And then, he saw it.

The fucker, Harry Potter, his fake husband. The wizard who had saved them so many times during this damned expedition.

Standing tall with his wand drawn out and flashing dangerously in front of the Colossal Titan.

Rivaille gritted his teeth, narrowed his eyes and tightened his hold on his blades.

And thus, the truth is finally out! It took me what? Twelve chapter to finally get to the point. Also, I swear that by the next chapter, the mission will end. I swear it! (Mostly because I want to get to the juicy parts and the lovebirds can't get at it while fighting for their lives...)

PS: Almost killed Connie in this chapter... I don't even know why, he's something along my favorite character. Who's yours?
