Naruto story-
Chapter 12-
I was shocked to realize that it was actually him who used to be so nice to a beaten little nobody but now that I think about it, it should've been obvious. Either way, I worked carefully on healing the cuts on his face and his eyelids fluttered open, blinking water from his eyes. I looked at him worriedly, my teal eyes meeting his black eye and red one.
"Tsumi!" he said, shocked and tried to stand up, almost falling over at once. I jumped up and grabbed him.
"You lost a lot of blood, sit down, I can take these guys down." He glared at me but I thought I saw the same recognition I just had flash through his eyes but I didn't ask, holding my hand out warningly.
"Now stay, don't make me paralyze you." I warned.
"You're in no better condition then I am." He glowered at me and tried to stand again anyway, once again falling back.
"But I can stand! Now stay!" I commanded. He groaned and nodded begrudgingly.
I gave him a tight lipped smile and nodded, turning to the fight where people were getting knocked off one by one. I growled angrily and flashed my hands together, first all of Kakashi's blood drop from my hand, then I ran to the closest man, scratching him on the arm. He spun around but it was too late, I pressed my glowing blue hand to his chest and he collapsed, eyes huge with shock. The others turned to me and I held my hands out invitingly.
"COME AND GET ME!" I howled and they did.
I danced away, forgetting my fatigue, and attacked these men over and over, four fell at my hands before the others, as well as Kanzu and the other man who used to be in the cell next to my, Yuto, got smart and ran, but Yuto stopped shouting back at me.
"YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE OUR GREATEST WEAPON! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO WIPE THIS VILLAGE OFF THE MAP LIKE THE REST!" he shouted. I panted and picked up and kunai.
"SHUT UP! I AM ONLY A WEAPON WHEN I WANT TO BE!" I roared back and flung the kunai at his head. He dodged of course and disappeared. I panted and let my arm drop back to my side before the world swam before my eyes and I collapsed on the ground.
Sasuke's POV
We were told to go fight and I glanced to where Sister had been seconds before. To my horror I saw her handcuffs on the ground and her missing. I glared at them, she was probably gone now too. I turned away from them in anger, clenching my fists and leaving with the rest of Team Seven.
It was horrible out there, like the Massacre on a bigger scale, the rain poured down in the same freezing, stinging way and bodies littered the streets. I froze up, looking around in horror.
"Why does this remind me of something…?" Naruto asked, his voice shaking.
"It's like the memory from Tsumi…" Sakura agreed and I winced, my fist clenching even tighter.
"Now is not the time to reminisce! More people are dying right now! Go!" Kakashi commanded and leaped away. I stayed rooted in my spot for two more seconds before following him.
I saw a young girl, her hair dripping with blood but still a golden color giggling and tossing something back and forth between her and a terrified looking leaf girl I had seen in the street.
"Keep playing with me or I can find someone else and use you as the ball this time!" she giggled. I froze and my eyes trained on the thing that was being tossed back and forth.
It was a head.
I almost wretched but swallowed it forcefully and stepped forward, kunai drawn. The blonde girl I had never seen before stopped, the head in her hands and looked at me.
"Oh it's you!" she sung. I glared at her,
"How do you know me?" I demanded. She just giggled,
"I've heard a lot about you Sasuke…we're not supposed to kill you though, he's no fun but I'll listen to him." I glared at her venomously, having no idea who she was talking about and decided to stop talking, chucking the kunai at her but she dodged it easily and disappeared into the rain. I swore and turned towards the center of the city, where I could hear a lot of fighting.
I ran forward but a man in an ANBU mask stopped me, katana held out in front of him, pointed at my chest. I stepped back before dodging around it, knocking it out of the way and attacking, dodging every time he came at me. In the end he ended up stopping, tilting his head to listen to something before turning and jumping to the roof.
"THE SHADOHATO HAS TURNED! RETREAT!" he bellowed.
Then there was silence.
The fighting stopped, the sounds of explosions and clashing kunai quieted and there was just a deathly calm. I looked around the wreckage in horror before swallowing and stepping forward, forcing myself to move to the center of the village stopping on a dime as I saw through the rain.
Tsumi was on the ground, she looked dead, blood covered her body and one of her wrists was bent backwards. Kakashi-sensei stood over her, equally covered in blood and carefully picked her up. I ran forward, worried the one last family member I had besides him was dead. My sensei looked up, he looked tired and shocked.
"She's alive." He assured me I nodded thankfully.
"Who's the Shadohato?" I asked, looking around carefully, noticing the group of bodies on the ground, but barely breathing and being gathered up by actual ANBU black ops members, meaning they were alive.
"She is." I looked back at my sister in shock,
"She…she fought for the leaf?" I asked in shock, if the same thing happened to me as it did her I would despise this village and under no circumstances try to help it. Sensei nodded and looked back at my sister, a slightly confused look to his eye.
"We should get her to the hospital." I said and he nodded,
"Right, I'll take her you go find Naruto and Sakura, see if they're alright." I hesitated, wanting to stay with Tsumi but he leapt away before I could object. I scowled after him but turned away, trying to find the dobe and Sakura. I was still shocked that she had fought for the leaf, I'd have to ask her why when she woke up.
I found Naruto and Sakura with some of the other rookies from the Chunin exams, they all looked beat up but alive.
"Sasuke! You're alright!" The blonde girl, Ino, shouted and hugged me. I stayed still, waiting for her to let me go.
"So everyone's fine?" I asked impatiently.
"Oh I knew you cared!" Ino cried loudly but I ignored her, Shikamaru sighed,
"Yah we're all fine, what was that about? And who's Shadohato?" he asked lazily.
"Yah! What's so special about him? I could've taken those guys by myself!" Naruto shouted.
"How do you knows it's not a girl idiot?!" Sakura snapped, punching him in the head.
"Well…I…uh…" he stuttered, not knowing what to say and looking around for help.
"It was Tsumi." I answered, they were fine, obviously, I wanted to go check up on her.
"Who's that?!" Ino asked, her voice panicked.
"It's Sasuke's sister, but I thought she was…" Sakura trailed off, looking confused.
"I don't know why either, that's what I'm going to figure out." With that I turned and left, heading towards the hospital. I slid to a stop by the front desk and opened my mouth.
"Room three fifty one." The nurse answered before I could even ask. I turned and left, sprinting up the stairs and counting the room numbers in annoyance before I reached the room I was looking for and stopped.
"I told you I'm fine!"
"You are bleeding from the head, and basically every other part of your body."
"I'm fine! Where's Sasuke? Is he okay?"
It sounded like Sensei and Tsumi arguing and I had a good idea what about.
"Sasuke is fine, it's you who needs to accept the medical attention. I think your stitches opened too…"
"Oh please those have been open for two weeks." Tsumi scoffed and I finally pushed the door open, hurrying in.
"Sasuke!" Tsumi smiled. She was being forcibly held down by Kakashi-sensei, who did not look happy, it was almost funny.
Tsumi's POV
My eyelids flickered open and I groaned, basically my entire body felt like it was on fire. I sat up slowly, clutching my head as the world spun.
"You shouldn't be sitting up yet." I blinked my eyes slowly and focused on Kakashi, he was leaning against the window, face mostly covered again, blood was still caked on his face.
"Like hell." I grumbled and turned to the side, intent on getting up but Kakashi pushed me down gently.
"You're hurt, bad, you need to stay still." He commanded. I glared at him but the recognition hit again.
"You're the boy from all those years ago." I blurted out. He gave me a close eyed smile.
"And you're the girl who was nice enough to help me." he responded.
"Well it's nice to know where I know you from." I sighed and tried to get up again but he held me down, careful not to press on any hurt skin meaning he had about a two inch area on my shoulder. I frowned at him,
"Let me up." I whined.
"You're hurt, stay here, I think Lady Tsunade will want to talk to you." I blinked in confusion
"Who's that?"
"The Hokage." I nodded.
'Probably, then how about you let me up and we go see her." I suggested with a smile.
"Good try, but no." I scowled at him.
"But I'm fine!" he shook his head as I tried to get up again, I scowled at him and struggled, gasping in pain as white hot fire shot up my spine.
"Are you sure about that?"
"Of course I am! I told you! I'm fine!" he got fed up and huffed in annoyance.
"You are bleeding from the head, and basically every other part of your body."
"I'm fine! Where's Sasuke? Is he okay?" I asked, looking to the door worriedly
"Sasuke is fine, it's you who needs to accept the medical attention. I think your stitches opened too…"
"Oh please those have been open for two weeks." I scoffed he gave me a slightly worried look, for my health or sanity I wasn't sure but the door opened before I could ask. I looked over and beamed
"Sasuke!" he looked at the slightly awkward position we were in but I kept talking. "Can you tell your teacher I'm fine?" I whined. He smirked,
"How should I know? I'm not a medical ninja." Kakashi gave me a triumphant look, he knew I would always listen to my brother. I sighed, knowing he was right and laid back down with a wince.
"Fine, how are you? Are you hurt?" I asked him, my eyes scanning his body carefully. He rolled his eyes,
"I'm fine." I nodded and turned my glare on Kakashi.
"I know for a fact you're wounded, I'm not very skilled in medical ninjutsu, just enough to create a thin scab, go get yourself checked out." I commanded, lifting my arm with a wince, just noticing it was wrapped in a cast and pointed to the door. He sighed and shook his head, going back to leaning against the wall, his arms crossed and one leg brought up under him.
"I need to wait for Lady Tsunade to give my report." He responded cheekily. I growled in annoyance and at that moment the blonde woman stomped into the room, Sasuke looked behind him and came over to stand by my bedside.
"I seem to have to ask this question a lot with you but…why?" I raised an eyebrow at her, even that hurt!
"I'm feeling fine thank you for asking." I drawled sarcastically. She glared at me, waiting for an answer. "Why did I stand up for the leaf?" she nodded and Sasuke looked curious too, actually everyone did. I looked at my hands, tracing my finger over the cast around my wrist.
"Like I told Ally, it's someone I care about's home and I didn't want it to be destroyed." I said calmly.
"Should we ask who?" Tsunade asked.
"Do you need to ask who?" Everyone's eyes (or eye in Kakashi's case) turned on Sasuke, who just blinked and met everyone's eyes before looking at me.
"Hey besides Itachi you're all the family I've got and you two are the only family that ever actually liked me." I explained with a smile, but just mentioning Itachi made him twitch. "Sorry, shouldn't have brought him up." I muttered. He shook his head,
"It's fine." He grumbled, it was obviously not fine, but whatever.
"Hm…then I have a proposition for you Tsumi Uchiha." I glanced back to the leader of the village.
"What is it?" she stood up tall, her eyes filled with stubborn fire.
"Join The village hidden in the leaves as a full-fledged leaf Shinobi."
