Chapter 12

Lucario's eyes shot open as he thought, "Hmm, both Ganondorf and Lucina's auras have vanished from the mansion. They must have headed to Hyrule."

"Lucario, your eyes shot open rather quickly. I take it Ganondorf has started to put his plan into action?" Zelda asked, prompting the aura pokemon to stand up onto his padded like feet. But as he made his way towards a nearby dresser the princess stood up onto her feet also while she added "If that is truly the case. Then I must leave for Hyrule at once and prepare the soldiers for battle."

Hearing this prompted the jackal like pokemon to grab a bracelet like item from on top of the dresser while he let out, "If you are planning on going to Hyrule to confront them. Then please allow me to accompany you."

Once he had turned around to face the noblewoman however, he saw her shake her head from side to side as she told him, "I'm sorry Lucario, but I cannot ask you to do that. If something were to happen to you, I would not be able to forgive myself."

"Zelda, I know that you would not want any harm to come to me. But if something were to happen to you….then I could not forgive myself even more. Therefore please allow me to come with you. If you do not want me to fight then I understand and I will obey." Lucario told the princess before she walked away from him. He then walked up to her and gave the braclet like item to her and kept on going with, "So please take this and put it on your wrist. Once you have done this I can Mega Evolve outside of the mansion. This way I can at least protect you from harm."

"Very well, I will accept your offer since you seem set on your decision. And yet knowing that you'll be with me makes me a bit more at ease. Now let us make haste to Hyrule Castle before Ganondorf and Lucina try to take over." The brunette Hylian stated, before the two were teleported out of the room once Zelda had used Farore's Wind.

Meta Knight wiped the top of his head with the back of one of his gloved hands. He did this in an attempt to stop the sweat from falling down his face. And no matter how many times he would wipe his forehead the anthro wolf's body continued to act as though it was a very humid day outside even though he knew there had to be another reason behind his body's odd behavior. To the swordsman's horror he did realize what was happening because when he passed by a nearby mirror he saw that his eyes were changing from yellow, then to orange, and then finally red before going through the cycle over and over again. Seeing this prompted a growl to escape the blue furred wolf's lips as he muttered, "Hmph, it seems Ganondorf is trying to completely manipulate my body. This must have been his plan from the very beginning." After he had said this though he quickly grabbed a hold of his head to try and withstand a sharp pain like that of a headache as he went on with, "No, I-I have to try and not give in. I-I have get away from here before I hurt someone."

And so the anthro swordsman quickly turned away from the mirror and made a mad dash for a nearby balcony to which he was planning on using as a means to escape. Once he had made it to the railing of the balcony though the pain in his head began to throb so badly that Meta Knight could not help but to grab the sides of his head with bother while he howled out in pain. After that had happened the wolf slowly brought his gloved hand away from his head and slowly began to take slowly breathes of air in a means to calm himself down. While he did this though his right ear twitched for a moment when he heard a soft voice as it asked, "I heard a very loud howl just a moment ago. Was that you Meta Knight? You sounded like you were in great pain, are you alright?"

At first the star warrior said nothing as he turned to face whoever had spoken to him. And upon doing so he saw that it was Rosalina, who had a very concerned look on his face. Seeing this prompted the lupine to stare at her with his now red eyes as he pulled out his sword and pointed it at her while he warned, "Yes, I am fine now. But I'm afraid you won't be once my blade has cut you down."

"What? Meta Knight, why would you say such a thing?" Rosalina questioned, once she had taken a few steps back away from the blue furred wolf. And while he proceeded to approach she added, "And I was told you never raised your sword to a woman. So why would you start now?" And for a second time the platinum blonde haired woman received no verbal answer from the still approaching star warrior. But as he kept on coming to her she soon found herself backing up against the wall back in the hallway of the mansion. And while she stood there she saw that his eyes were now red instead of their usual yellow. And yet upon a closer look the mother of the Lumas noticed that even though his expression was that of angry she could also a hint of sadness behind it.

The light blue eyed woman let out a gasp of shock when she saw Meta Knight's coming straight for her. She instinctively put her arms out in front of her in a attempt to shield herself from the incoming blow. And yet that did not happen as someone shouted, "Rosalina, look out!"

She then felt herself being pushed to the side followed by the sound of another sword blocking Meta Knight's attack which was intended for her. And when the light blue dressed woman looked up she saw that it was Chrom who had stopped the attack as he looked over at her and asked, "Rosalina, are you alright?"

"Yes, I am unharmed thanks to you, Chrom?" Rosalina reassured the noble as she walked up to him so that they were standing side by side.

Once this had been the blue haired swordsman pushed the wolf away and pondered in her direction, "You wouldn't happen to know why Meta Knight is acting like this would you?"

Hearing this caused the Luma caretaker to place a hand underneath her chin as she thought of a reason behind Meta Knight's strange behavior. And as if the anthro lupine knew what she was thinking he bitterly replied with, "If you are wondering why am I doing this the reason is simple. I was ordered to get rid of you both…..especially you Chrom. Lord Ganondorf does not want you to interfere with his plans, nor does he want you to try and "save" your daughter from his grasp." The two then watched as Meta Knight placed himself into a lower type stance before he went on with, "She has almost completely given herself to him. And once she has completely fallen into the darkness there will be no hope for her. Just like there is no hope of you two being apart of this world any longer."

A/N: Yahoo I finally, finally not only got this chapter done, but I updated this story as well. Again I apologize for taking so long to do this. But I wanted to fix the issues I was having with my laptop. And since that's been done now I can focus on this story again. (Along with starting new ones too.) I hope this latest chapter did not disappoint and don't worry the next one will be up within a couple of days. (if I have this planned out right of course) Oh, also I have decided to put Fox with Palutena instead of Sheik. Of course this change will be explained more in either the next chapter or the one after.
