I Can't Go to a Hero School with my Little Sister!

Okay, uh, most of the characters have have powers and Kyousuke has powers and, uh, he goes to a hero school with his sister Kirino and he saves the world and the universe and stuff, doesn't get anymore complicated then that, I swear.

12. Chapter 12

Monday

Ki: "Haaah, wow this really is nice."

I was sitting the hot tub having an evening soak and drinking some grape juice from a fancy glass while Kyousuke was out doing whatever.

Ki: "{sip} Ahh, after all that's happened last week I needed this, so relaxing."

Ky: "Sure looks that way."

Ki: "AH! K-Kyousuke? When did you get here?"

Ky: "A few minutes ago, after seeing how much you were enjoying yourself I thought I'd join you, I even brought some more grape juice, nice and chilled."

Ki: "Uh, s-sure I don't care, do what you want."

Ky: "Hmph."

Kyousuke then stepped into the tub but to my shock he sat down right next me.

Ki: "{Blush}."

Ky: "Ahh, this is a great night for a soak, could use some music though."

Ki: "Music?"

Kyousuke then leaned over to the edge of the tub to the left of him and opened a hidden compartment which revealed a music system and built in speakers and after pressing a few buttons some mellow and romantic American R&B music started playing.

Ky: "Nice right? {Sip}."

Ki: "{Blush} Sure."

We sat there quietly for a few moments as the music played before Kyousuke suddenly wrapped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me close to him.

Ki: "{Full body blush} EH!? W-w-w-w-what are you doing?"

He leaned in looking me in the eyes, the surrounding dim lights reflecting off of his eyes made his stare almost magical.

Ky: "Kirino? Have I ever told you how cute you look?"

Ki: "Eh?"

Ky: "And that sexy bikini is driving me crazy, maybe we should get rid of it."

He tilted my chin up with his hand and leaned in even further, I felt his breath on my lips and I closed my eyes in anticipation of what was coming and the moment his lips made contact with mine-

{BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!}

End Dream

Kirino woke with her eyes wide and reddened with anger at her alarm clock for disturbing her dream when things were just getting good.

{BEEP! BE- SMASH!}

She immediately smashed her alarm clock in a blind rage before she quickly calmed down and began to regret destroying her poor clock for just doing its job.

Ki: "Dammit, gonna need to get a new one."

She tossed the clock in the garbage and after a quick change of panties proceeded to get ready for school, when she exited her room she turned on the tv to check the news.

"It has been over a week since the Tokyo attack and officials have stated that due to fire hazards reconstruction can't begin until every bit of molten material has been cleaned up and extinguished. Though an upside to this destruction has shown itself in the increased traffic businesses relocated to the Bunker have been seeing."

Ki: "It feels so unreal now."

Ky: "{Yaaawn} Morning."

Ki: "{Blush} Hey."

Ky: "I'll get started on breakfast."

Ki: Calm down Kirino, last night was just a dream, you don't want to have to change again do you?

As Kirino continued with her daily rituals she looked back on the questioning she went through with the DSA the Friday following the attack.

Flashback, CHA Underground Labs, Temporary DSA office

Ki: "Alright what'd you call me down for?"

Na: "Just a little questioning on your experience from the events of the Tokyo attack, we would've done this sooner but my colleagues thought it best to give you a day to wind down and collect your thoughts."

Ki: "Okay then what do you want to know?"

Na: "Well first, did Kyousuke undergo a transformation of any kind?"

Ki: "Yes he did that thing where his eyes start glowing."

Na: "I see, now were any of the villains you encountered the leader or orchestrator of the Tokyo attack?"

Ki: "Yes, there was guy named Nucular Fist, his minions called him Nuke for short."

Na: "Did they voice their intentions and if they did, did they involve Kyousuke in any way?"

Ki: "Y-yes, their overall goal it seemed was to exterminate humanity in its entirety starting at Tokyo but at the time their top priority was to capture Kyousuke himself."

Na: "Did they say why they needed him?"

Ki: "Not in any detail in fact from how they were talking I think they were catching him for someone else like they were just hired to do it, in exchange for a 'wish'."

Na: "Wish?"

Ki: "That's what they said, in fact now that I remember they actually had a special device that was able to track Kyousuke but it only worked at short range."

Na: "Interesting, next question, the creature we found dead on the scene do you now where it came from?"

Ki: "That was actually the leader, Nucular fist."

Na: "I see guess that explains why it's DNA results came back as human, was he like that to begin with?"

Ki: "No he somehow mutated I didn't see how because I thought Kyousuke had killed him when he transformed."

Na: "Did any of his comrades escape?"

Ki: "I don't know, I was down in the shelter entrance with Sergeant Sunrise during the battle, oh speaking of which how is he, is he okay?"

Na: "He's fine, next question, who's responsible for melting 1.5 miles of the city?"

Ki: "…Kyousuke."

Na: "When he did do so? Was he transformed?"

Ki: "No."

Na: "Really? How was he able to unleash such tremendous power?"

Ki: "I don't know but he definitely intended to, he made me go hide before he made his move."

Na: "Did his power kill Nucular Fist?"

Ki: "No not initially, it wasn't enough to kill him but it was enough to greatly weaken him but he had almost supernatural regenerative abilities and just before he fully healed Kyousuke dealt the final blow."

Na: "So even after unleashing that power Kyousuke was still able to fight?"

Ki: "No…"

Na: "Elaborate."

Ki: "A-after that part Kyousuke fell over unconscious."

Na: "Then how did he deal the final blow."

Ki: "During his transformed state he threw a large blade that he had morphed from a piece of rebar."

Na: "He made that?"

Ki: "Yes, then just before Nucular Fist fully regenerated the blade fell back down and pierced hm through the exposed part of his skull with perfect precision."

Na: "Do you think the transformed Kyousuke knew that would happen?"

Ki: "Yes."

Na: "Okay, final question, when did Kyousuke become mortal?"

Ki: "…Do I have to answer that question?'

Na: "Yes we need as much information from you as possible if we're to better help your brother should something like this happen again."

Ki: "…When he used his full power his body began to burn, his arm was nothing but bone, for the second time in my life I saw my brother almost die."

Na: "I'm sorry about that but that's just something we deal with in this sort of business, we gave you an out, a chance to live in blissful ignorance and now this is what you have to deal with, dismissed."

End Flashback

Ki: How many times am I going to have to go through that?

Ky: "Kirino? {poke} Kirino? {poke} Kirino?"

Ki: How long is this going to last before we can finally live in peace.

Ky: "Kirino? {poke} Kirino? {poke} Kirino?"

Ki: "Grr {grab, squeeze}."

Ky: "ACK! GAAAH!"

As Kyousuke was poking Kirino's face to try and get her attention she quickly grabbed the assaulting hand and squeezed it in a death grip making sure not to exceed his threshold.

Ki: "What. Do. You. Want?!"

Ky: "Agh! I-it's time to go to s-school!"

Ki: "Oh."

Kirino released her grip and Kyousuke laid on the ground weeping in pain.

Ky: "Agh, why do you have to be so violent?"

Ki: "Why do YOU have to be so annoying?"

Ky: "Well I am your brother aren't I? That's kind of my job."

Ki: "Tch."

While Kirino was annoyed with her brother's antics she would never admit that these sorts of rekindled sibling interactions were a great factor in her increased infatuation with him.

Ky: "Anyway you really looked out of it, something weighing on you?"

Ki: "None of your business."

Ky: "Whatever then, let's go."

Later that day

Ki: "Alright heading to practice, remember to do your chores while I'm gone."

Ky: "Yeah, yeah."

As the siblings were conversing on the sidewalk the special tone for DSA texts went of on Kyousuke's phone.

Ki: "Ugh, what does she want this time?"

Ky: "Let's see."

Na: |Greetings Kousaka siblings, I would like to speak with you, head to the office immediately, the details can't be discussed over the phone, we'll inform Kirino's coach.|

Ky: "Alright then let's go."

The siblings made their way back to the school and entered the underground labs where they found the temporary DSA office and inside was Kirishima along with two other people they recognized from TV but couldn't place their names.

Na: "Hello Kyousuke, Kirino, take a seat."

Ky: "So what do you need?"

Na: "Well despite my protests people higher up on the ladder believe it necessary that we try to expedite your development through a special training program and in this program you'll be secretly fighting alongside professional heroes."

Ki: "EH?!"

Ky: "W-wait really?!"

Na: "Yes."

Ki: "But isn't that illegal."

Na: "That's why we'll be doing it SECRETLY and while I don't like putting government business above the law the DSA has no choice but to do so, at least as long as nobody gets put in harm's way, fortunately we won't have to worry about that with Kyousuke."

Ki: "As far as you know."

Ky: "I don't know about this."

Na: "Well it's not your choice, anyway here are a couple of representatives from the Kanto Defense League."

"Hey there kiddo, name's Ayami Mikishiba."

"Yo, my name's Hitaro Komojo, nice to meet you, so you're our partner in crime, I've heard a little about you from the grapevine, the only immortal in Japan, though I always heard your powers were underwhelming."

Ky: "No kidding, before I went through training I could barely heat up a microwave burrito."

Ay: "He sure is humble."

Hi: "Well now before we get started, we'll head over to International Hero Association building to get you a suit, let's go."

Ky: "Alright then."

As everyone left the office Naoki grabbed Kirino.

Na: "Kirino you go on ahead back, we only called you here to keep you informed."

Ki: "Yeah I assumed that, did you really think I'd suggest joining him with the pros?"

Na: "Well given how much you like to cling to him can you blame me?"

Ki: "Was that your attempt at a joke? At least let me see him off."

Na: "Fine."

So Kirino followed the others down to the underground roadway where an armored SUV was waiting.

Ay: "Alright kid hop in."

Hi: "You don't get car sick do you? Ayami is a bit of a crazy driver."

Ay: "Hey it's not my fault city roads are so narrow, I'm used to big wide country roads, mmm, as soon as I get some time off I'm heading out there to burn some rubber."

Hi: "Don't talk about your sex life in front of the kid."

Ky: "Okay Kirino I guess I'll see you later and don't worry about the chores I promise I'll finish them tomorrow."

Ay: "We'll have him back in a couple of hours just think of this as his after school activity."

Ki: "Whatever just don't be too much of an idiot out there got it?"

Ky: "Aww is my wittle sister worried about me?~"

Ki: "{Kick!}"

Ky: "Gah! Aaahaha!"

Ki: "I'll see you at home."

Hi: "You okay kid?"

Ky: "Yeah, I'm good, let's go."

They all load into the vehicle and head down the dark road lit only by dim red lights but quickly exited onto the surface roads and continued to the IHA building.

Hi: "And here we are."

The building wasn't exactly glamourous, just a basic concrete building. They parked and entered, the interior was analogous to a YMCA center, they continued through until they reached the equipment room and surprisingly inside was Nicola Johannes waiting.

Ni: "Hey there Kyousuke~"

Ky: "Hey Mr. Johannes, what're you doing here?"

Ni: "Well I have a special gift for you."

Ky: "A gift?"

Ni: "Actually it's more of an experiment than a gift."

Nicola then picked up a large heavy duty storage container and set it on a table before opening it and pulling out a desert camo jumpsuit and a black, glossy, face covering helmet.

Ni: "Behold, your hero suit!"

Hi: "Besides the helmet, that looks like a standard issue basic suit for shadowing students and heroes that can't afford a custom one."

Ni: "Yes but I added a few things to it."

Nicola then revealed the inner part of the suit to show some suction pads.

Ni: "You see there's a special system built into the suit that when linked to you via these pads will theoretically make the suit as indestructible as you are, the system is even built into the gloves, boots and helmet."

Ky: "Whoa, that is so cool! You won't believe how many clothes I lost from all the shit I get into, you think you could eventually make this for my normal clothes? I'd pay you."

Ni: "Maybe but these are still experimental so we'll need you for data collection if we're to progress with this."

Ky: "I'll be happy to contribute."

So Kyousuke slipped into the suit.

Ky: "So how do I look?"

Ay: "Looks kind of baggy."

Hi: "Yeah makes you look a little chubbier."

Kyousuke then looked into the floor length mirror.

Ky: "Yeah your right but I think it works, not too flashy, gives me a sort function over fashion look."

Ay: "Yeah I think I see it."

Hi: "I don't, seriously Johannes you couldn't have picked something a little better looking for our little man here?"

Ky: "Hey I'm almost as tall as you."

Ni: "I didn't want to waste good resources should this fail, trust me the final product will have the sex appeal of a rock star."

Hi: "Okay guess we'll have to work with this, come on Ayami let's go get changed ourselves, Kousaka wait for us back at the car."

Ky: "Yes sir."

The pros quickly changed into their suits and set off onto the streets.

Hi: "Okay first thing about being part of a regional defense league is that we don't see a lot of action."

Ky: "You don't?"

Ay: "Nope, were only called in to take care of threats lower ranked heroes can't handle, though the good thing about being part of the defense league is that we're paid on a salary instead of on a quota like the lower ranks so even if we go an entire month without seeing any action we still get paid."

Ky: "Sounds like the life to me."

Hi: "But we get monthly physicals our powers and if we don't meet the minimum standards on that then we're given a warning and if we don't improve ourselves within the six weeks after that then we get booted from the defense league."

Ky: "Okay but isn't the whole point of me being with you two to get more combat experience and develop my "anomalous" powers? How am I going to do that if you hardly see any action?"

Hi: "Since when did we say you'd be fighting with just us?"

Ay: "No we're more like your chaperones, what we'll be doing is patrolling around town until the old police scanner lights up and drop you off in the middle of the action while we watch from the side."

Ky: "Yeah that sure is responsible."

They drove around for about twenty minutes, stopping once to grab some snacks, before the scanner started going off.

Ay: "Hey we got something!"

"All units we have a superhuman cornered in a minimart, no hostages but is currently invisible."

Ay: "Alright seems easy enough for our boy here, let's go!"

Ayami then jerks the car in the direction of the commotion and once there they saw that the building was surrounded by police cars and Kyousuke hopped out.

Ay: |Testing, testing 123, TESTING!|

Ky: "AH! Shit! What the hell?!"

Hi: |Ayami quit screwing around!|

Ay: |Sorry.|

Hi: |Yo kid can you hear me?|

Ky: "Loud and clear."

Hi: |Alright, we filled them in on the situation so we got the greenlight to send you in, try to keep collateral damage to a minimum, don't kill the target and don't worry too much if you screw up, you're still a student after all and this is your first time dealing with a human enemy.|

Ky: "Okay heading in."

Kyousuke walked past the police barriers and entered the store, at first he couldn't see anything out of the ordinary but as soon as he took another step a gun shot suddenly went off and the bullet hit him square in the chest where his heart was, slamming him back against the door.

Ky: "Agh! So that's what bullet in the chest feels like."

Kyousuke then looked down to see that the suit was undamaged though did have a little spot of soot.

Ky: "Oh cool it worked."

"Wait what?! How are you still alive?"

Ky: "None of your business, now reveal yourself and surrender before I beat the piss out of you?"

"Heh I'd like to see you try."

The criminal then uncloaked himself revealing his bulky physique with pecks the size of suitcases, arms as big as legs and legs even bigger than legs.

Ky: "Oh shit."

With the police and the heroes spectating the criminal then pinned Kyousuke to the ground and began repeatedly punching him in the part of his helmet where his face would be.

Ky: "Gah! Shit! Dammit! Stop! Hitting! Me!"

Ay: "Uh, should we help him?"

Hi: "Just give him a minute."

Ky: "Alright screw you prick!"

Kyousuke than grabbed onto the arm that was pinning him and scorched it.

"AH! FUCKING HELL!"

Ky: "Air rifle! (low heat, high pressure Thermal Rifle)."

Kyousuke's shot hit the criminal in the stomach with enough force to send him flying backwards and with the criminal now on the ground Kyousuke then began to freeze him in place.

"C-c-c-c-cold!"

Ky: "Awesome I actually did it!"

"Alright everyone let's move in!"

Once the police saw that the criminal was subdued they came in and secured him and Kyousuke headed back to the car.

Ky: "So how'd I do?"

Ay: |I've seen better.|

Hi: |You did good kid, not that this was really that hard but given that you're greener than a leprechaun on St. Patrick's day you did a pretty good job, now hop back in and let's get going.|

They continued to drive around responding to another crime in progress, once they called it a day they stopped by a restaurant to pick up some food before they dropped him off back at the underground labs.

Hi: "This was a good day kid, you did great, I'd expect most students to choke up on their first try but you charge in like a champ."

Ay: "We were hoping someone or something stronger than a few petty thieves would show up but guess we'll just have to wait til next time, hopefully getting you leveled up doesn't turn into a grind."

Hi: "Go get changed and leave your suit back in the office."

Ky: "Yes sir."

Hi: "Looking forward to our next outing, later."

Ay: "Bye bye~"

Ky: "Later."

So Kyousuke dropped off his suit and made his way back to the apartment.

Ky: "I'm home, Kirino?"

Kyousuke looked around for his sister knowing it was still too early for her to be in bed but then he turned to the kitchen.

Ky: "K-Kirino?!"

He ran over to his sister who was lying on the ground unconscious, he then noticed a purplish black substance oozing from her mouth.

Ky: "Oh no, Kirino don't tell me…"

He then looked to the stove to see a pot full of the same purplish black substance and over to the table to see a plate with even more of it.

Ky: "Don't tell me you actually tried to cook for yourself! I already told you your cooking totally sucks when it almost killed me! I mean you did punch me in the face and completely disregarded everything I said but still!"

Kyousuke then reached into the bag he brought and pulled out the only thing that could help Kirino.

Ky: "Smell it Kirino, smell that donut."

Ki: "{Sniffsniff, sniffsniff} Huh? {Chomp!}"

As if moving at the speed of light Kirino immediately had her jaws all the way up to Kyousuke's wrist while he maintained his pose and he pain came to him all at once.

Ky: "AAAAAAHAHAHA! Letgoletgoletgo!"

After prying his hand out of his sister's vicious maw they were able to calm down.

Ki: "Oh my god that's so much better! What the heck happened?!"

Ky: "Basically? You ate your own shit."

Ki: "What?!"

Kyousuke then presented Kirino a plate of her own cooking.

Ki: "Ugh! What the hell is that?!"

Ky: "You seriously don't remember?! This is the same stuff you fed me the other day that almost disabled my immortality!"

Ki: "Oh, oh my god is my cooking really that bad?"

Ky: "YES!"

Ki: "I thought you were just being an asshole when you said it was bad, Ayase always told me my cooking was great."

Ky: "She lied so she wouldn't hurt your feelings, duh."

Ki: "Great not only was I being obliviously delusional I nearly killed myself because of it {guuuuurgle} and I'm still starving."

Ky: "Jeez, well you're lucky you have me."

Ki: "Wait, did you?!"

Ky: "Yep, while I was expecting you to splurge at the campus market with my credits I thought I'd be a good big brother and bring you something anyway."

Ki: "Thankyousomuchiloveyou!"

Ky: "What?"

Ki: "What? Nothing just give me my food!"

Ky: "Your welcome."

Ki: "Wait what was that thing you just fed me?"

Ky: "A donut."

Ki: "Ah of course."

The following Friday

Ky: "Katsudon please Mr. Kurusu."

Ma: "Ere yago yun ma, na maksher ya ead ery bit."

Ky: "Will do, you know Kirino I think I'm starting to crack that guy's code."

Ki: "Sure you have."

"Yo Kousaka come sit over here with us!"

Ky: "Oh I'd love to fellas..."

Ki: "No you don't {Grab}."

Before Kyousuke could make his way to the other table Kirino grabbed him by the back of his collar and dragged him away.

Ky: "But as you can see I'm currently being whipped by my own dear sister."

"Jeez must be nice living with a sweet brocon sister."

Ky: "Oh no."

Ki: "{Glare!}."

"I'm sorry, please forgive me Ms. Kousaka!"

As much as she tried to avoid it Kirino was beginning to gain a nonhostile reputation as a brocon due to being so clingy with Kyousuke, after all she is at his side at almost all times except for the bathroom. Most people thought it was sweet and Kyousuke received some looks of jealousy though some saw it as Kirino only liking Kyousuke for now being top rank.

"Lucky bastard, I wish she was my sister."

"I wish she was my girlfriend…so I could, you know, do stuff to her…nasty stuff."

"Who said we wouldn't do stuff?"

"Gross."

Ky: "Seriously Kirino, this isn't helping with your reputation."

Ki: "Shut up."

Ky: "If only they saw how you are at home, that'd definitely dissuade all the rumors."

Ki: "I said shut up."

Instead of making the usual turn to their table Kirino started making her way outside.

Ky: "Uh, Kirino why are we going outside?"

Ki: "Ayase reserved one of the picnic tables for us to sit, she said it was such a nice day out she wanted us all to sit there."

Ky: "She's such a sweet angel, we don't deserve her~"

Ki: "Jeez you're so…annoying."

After roughly unloading Kyousuke onto his assigned seat she sat down next to him.

Ka: "Ooh if it isn't Kirino the broco-"

Ki: "{Throw, Stab!}"

Ka: "GAAAAH!"

Before Kanako could finish her witty jab Kirino threw her chopsticks into her forehead hard enough to get stuck in her thick skull like a pair of horns.

Ki: "Ayase back up sticks."

Ay: "Here you go."

Ru: "Honestly Kyousuke don't you feel it's about time you starting sitting with other boys?"

Ky: "Why? I have a guaranteed seat right here every day so I don't have to go hunting for one all the time, if people are going to talk then let them, I don't care."

Ru: "Such a lazy beast."

Sa: "To each their own Ruri."

As they were eating someone suddenly came up behind Kyousuke.

"Uh, hey, you Kyousuke Kousaka?"

Ky: "Hm yeah, can I help you?"

A boy and what appeared to be some of his friends had come up to him, they were all wearing uniforms from a different school which were really fancy looking, their appearance began to draw the attention of the other students.

"Hey what's up, name's Toyama, Akihiko Toyama nice to meet you."

Ky: "KkPFF {COUGH! COUGH!}."

"Holy shit it's Akihiko!"

"What the heck is he doing here?"

"Is he here to challenge Kyousuke?"

"Is someone gonna help Kyousuke? Pretty sure he's choking."

Ki: "Flame Elemental and top rank at THA Akihiko?!"

Ak: "Yep."

Ki: "W-what are you doing here?"

Ak: "Oh, I'm here for him."

Ky: "Ack {COUGH! COUGH! COUGH!}."

As Saori finally helped Kyousuke dislodge the food from his throat he stood to his feet and faced the THA students, aside from a very pretty girl, about as tall as Kirino but bustier and with pitch black hair, standing next to Toyama, the others only passed as background characters in appearance. As for Akihiko himself, he was about the same height as Kyousuke but had much more muscle definition and quite the chiseled face, his hair was wavy and dark brownish red, his eyes were dark grey and his manner of speaking was pretty upbeat.

Ky: "Blagh, okay what does a prestigious man such as yourself want with me?"

"Hm, seems this cur know his place."

"Indeed one should always address their superiors with respect."

Ky: "Cur?"

Ak: "Ignore them, anyway I'm here to recruit you to THA~"

Ky: "…Huh?"

Ki: "EEEEH!?"

Ky: "W-what brought this on?!"

Ak: "We received a recommendation from a source that wishes to remain anonymous, they even sent in footage of your battle with Aoi and from what we've seen we think you might have what it takes to join the ranks of THA."

"While you definitely won't be top one hundred you'll live better than you do at this house of fodder."

"Yes you might even gain a title a hero if you manage to graduate."

Ky: "Your friends sure are pleasant."

Ak: "Oh those guys? Honestly I have no idea who they are, they just started following me around for some reason."

"Hey!"

Ak: "Except for her, that's my girlfriend, Hoshi Kamiko."

Ho: "Yo."

Ak: "She can control gravity~"

Sa: "Whoa that a rare power!"

Ky: "Nice to meet you."

Ho: "Mhm."

Ak: "Anyway what do you say? You want to try out?"

"And finally leave these commoners behind."

Ky: "Okay you guys better shut the fuck up before I murder you."

He said in a most nonchalant voice.

"Ah!"

"How dare you!"

Ky: "Well what exactly do I have to do?"

Ki: "K-Kyousuke you're not actually thinking about this, are you!?"

Ky: "Now Kirino let's just hear them out."

Ak: "Well Kousaka all you have to do is beat our hundredth rank student, he's that little guy over there."

"Hey~"

Ak: "And if you win you'll be enrolled as the new hundredth rank, pretty easy right? Especially for a guy that defeated Aoi, even I had a tough time with him."

Ky: "You fought Aoi?"

Ki: "Yeah, just last year, Akihiko was making him the same offer but Aoi changed it so he could fight Akihiko instead but he was beaten and from what I saw it wasn't tough for him at all."

Ak: "Yep, unfortunately, I made my original offer again but he turned it down, if it wasn't for that he'd be attending THA right now. Everyone stood tense waiting for Kyousuke's answer, most not wanting to lose the only person that could keep Daiki in submission and they were just beginning to enjoy Kyousuke's laid back presence.

Ky: "Hm that all sounds nice…"

Ki: "…"

Ak: "Hmm~"

Ky: "But I'm afraid I'll have to refuse."

Ki: "Ohthankgod."

"Yeah Kousaka!"

"Give it to those THA snobs!"

Ak: "A-and may I ask why?"

"Yes speak!"

"Why would you choose this barn over the illustrious Tokyo Hero academy?!"

Ky: "Don't get me wrong I'm sure the Tokyo campus is ten times better than this place."

Ki: "H-hey!"

"Come on Kousaka."

"Well he's not wrong."

Ky: "But I'm already pretty settled in here, don't really want to have to go through all the work of moving again."

Ak: "All that can be taken care of, you won't have to lift a finger."

Ky: "Even so, I still made a promise to my sister to be her partner here."

Ak: "We can transfer her with you."

Ki: "Eh?"

Ky: "Jeez you just won't give up will you? Listen Akihiko if you're looking for someone to add to your team then just try Aoi again or just look at a different hero school cause I'm not going anywhere."

Ak: "I see, well that's too bad."

Nobody could tell but Akihiko was pretty pissed for being turned down again.

"Halt!"

Before Akihiko was about to leave one of the taller fellows from his group spoke up.

"I the fifty-fourth rank challenge you Kyousuke Kousaka! If you win I will bow to your feet, if you lose then you will enroll at THA-"

Ky: "No."

"Eh?"

Ky: "No, I refuse the challenge."

"B-but-"

Ak: "Psst, hey buddy."

Suddenly Akihiko pulled the guy aside and whispered to him for a couple of minutes before he came back.

"Okay how about this? If you win…we'll set you up with any girl at THA you want."

Ky: "No thanks, I already have enough pain-in-neck women in my life."

Ki: "Bleh."

Ky: "See what I mean?"

"Wha?! Th-then how about a million yen in cash?"

Ky: "No, I only take money that I earn."

The guy then went back to Akihiko and they whispered for another couple of minutes and again came back.

"Hmph I see, I guess it's no wonder you Kousakas are both at CHA, this is the only place trash like you and your sister could ever hope to enroll."

Ki: "Grr."

"You and your sister could never hope to reach the level of prestige we at Tokyo have achieved, you're both will just end up as low level police officers, not even full on heroes you might as well leave CHA now if you won't accept our offer.

Ki: "You-"

Ky: "Hey."

Suddenly Kyousuke got up from his seat and looked the guy dead in the eye.

Ky: "Listen man, you can bad mouth me as much as you want but the moment you say anything about my family is where I draw the line."

"Oh?"

Ky: "I accept your challenge and I'll take that million yen directly from your personal funds."

"Eh? B-but why from me?! I can get you the money by other means but-"

Ky: "Well then it shouldn't be a problem now should it?"

The guy then looked to Akihiko and he nodded for him to continue.

"A-alright, I accept your terms."

Ky: "Okay then I'll see you after school."

Akihiko and his group left and Lunch continued without any further disturbances, once school was out Akihiko and the challenger returned and met Kyousuke at the field where a group of spectating students was already sitting in the bleachers all sitting in silence, anxious at how the fight would turn out.

"Man Kousaka looks pissed."

"What the heck did that guy do?"

Ki: "I've never seen Kyousuke look this mad before."

Ar: "I think it's kind of sexy."

Sa: "He's always so laid back and easy going, this is quite abnormal."

Ru: "Indeed, a great bestial fury flows through him."

Ka: "Yeah he looks about ready to murder that guy."

Ay: "He's kind of scaring me."

"So you didn't chicken out? How foolish of you."

Ky: "Mhm."

"Alright are both students ready?"

"…"

Ky: "…"

"Aaaand begin!"

Before Kyousuke could react the guy used his telekinesis to hold him in place and he began walking toward him.

"Heh telekinesis one of the strongest and most versatile powers even in its weakest form."

He got up right next to Kyousuke.

"Looks like you lost before you could even make a move."

Ky: "Your right telekinesis is pretty tough to work around but there is one power that I have over you, the greatest power known to man, one that even the strongest hero can never hope to beat."

"What would that be?"

Ky: "A good and well executed strategy."

"Huh?"

{BOOM!}

Suddenly the ground beneath Kyousuke exploded throwing the challenger back near the wall, the field was filled with steam and before the guy could get up a foot planted him back down to the ground, ice started to form all over his body and he looked up to see Kyousuke with a menacing look on his face.

"H-how?!"

Ky: "As they say, a magician never reveals his secrets."

Kyousuke then aimed an already charged thermal rifle x5 at his head and just before the challenger was able get himself loose with telekinesis he fired.

"Winner Kyousuke Kousaka!"

"Holy crap-balls that barely lasted a minute!"

Akihiko looked up to the screen showing the HP bars and the challenger's bar was at zero.

Ak: "{Clapclapclap} Whoo you're stronger than I thought Kousaka!"

"Why are you cheering him on?! And how did he kill me with only one hit?!"

Ky: "HP loss isn't just about how hard you hit but where you hit too, a point-blank headshot will deal a lot of damage and it doesn't take much power for it to result in a one hit kill."

"And that explosion?"

Ky: "My little secret and you know Akihiko I think I have you figured out, what's really hiding behind that façade of yours."

Ak: "…"

Ky: "But that can wait for later, yo nameless dude, stop peeing your pants and get out of here, that money isn't going to collect itself, unless you want a rematch."

"Y-yes right on it!"

He ran off leaving a sparkling trail of urine in his wake.

Ky: "Oh Akihiko before you leave…"

Ak: "…"

Ky: "I ask that you don't get me mad like that again, haah, I hate being mad, it's a very uncomfortable feeling for me, bleh, if you want to get my attention, I suggest you use a different method next time."

Ak: "…I'll keep that in mind, I look forward to our next meeting Kousaka."

Akihiko left without another word and with it being Friday the Kousaka siblings head to their dorm to get ready for the weekend.

Ki: "So Kyousuke how did you make that explosion?"

Ky: "Oh it's simple really, I just made a large mass of ice underground using my feet then applied a lot of heat to it as fast as possible because as you know an explosion is just something expanding really fast, wasn't that hard."

Ki: "Through your feet? I didn't know you could do that."

Ky: "Is that strange?"

Ki: "That means you're an omnicaster!"

Ky: "What the heck is that?"

Ki: "An omnicaster is someone who can use their powers from different parts of their body besides their hands, being able to do so on one other part of your body uncommon but being able to use your whole body is actually pretty rare."

Ky: "Really? Hmm I can absorb and release heat throughout my body but that's all, I don't have anywhere near the same control as I do with my hands."

Ki: "Well maybe you can work on that, if you practice with it enough then eventually everything you can do with your hands can be done everywhere else."

Ky: "That'd be cool."

Ki: "More than cool, some of the strongest heroes in the world are omnicasters."

Ky: "Is it something your born with?"

Ki: "Well yes and no, superhumans like you that have energy based powers all have the potential to become omnicasters but for most it takes months or even years of rigorous training to be able to use it effectively though for some it comes as easy as breathing and while your proficiency isn't all that great it still shows you have an open door for progression though that could have something to do with the special powers the DSA told us about."

Ky: "I see, well if that's true then I won't use it."

Ki: "What? Why?!"

Ky: "Because it's not my power, if I'm going to make my way in this world it's going to be through my own abilities not some power granted to me by some higher force."

Ki: "Jeez I didn't think you of all people would refuse to take the easy way."

Ky: "Hey even I have principles."

At the Kousaka House

Ky: "Hey I'm headed to the convenience store you guys want anything, if you do you'll have to give me cash cause I don't have much."

Dai: "No."

Yo: "I'm fine."

Ki: "Can you get me a granola bar? Crunchy?"

Ky: "Sure."

Kirino handed the money over which surprised Kyousuke as he thought she'd just make him pay but he didn't say anything so as to keep it that way. He walked out into the slightly cool late Summer air and made his way through the dark streets.

Ky: "I love this kind of weather."

He reached the store and began browsing the racks but just as he grabbed the last item he needed someone walked up to him.

"Um, hey."

Kyousuke to then turned to see Sergeant Sunrise in casual wear.

Ky: "S-Sergeant Sunrise?! What are you doing here?!"

SS: "Just out for an evening snack, you?"

Ky: "Same."

SS: "Are you? What a coincidence we'd bump into each other at the same store, hey how about I buy that for you?"

Ky: "A-are you sure sir?"

SS: "Absolutely, anything for a fan."

Ky: "It would be an honor sir."

Sergeant Sunrise then proceeded to purchase everything Kyousuke got along with his own things and they went out.

Ky: "Thank you again Sergeant Sunrise."

SS: "Don't use my code name while I'm off duty, my real name is Shuichi Sosuke."

Ky: "Well then thank you Mr. Sosuke."

SS: "So how've you been since the attack? Heard you got hit pretty hard."

Ky: "Yeah can hardly remember anything."

SS: "And that girl you were with?"

Ky: "My sister? Yeah she's fine too though for some reason she's been acting unusually nice to me, well as nice as she can be, also I do remember you questioning me about the DSA, they tell you anything?"

SS: "Yes, though they told me not to disclose anything to anybody, understandable given the sensitivity of the information."

Ky: "What did they tell you?"

SS: "That you're quite the special young man, something about special powers."

Ky: "Yeah they didn't tell me exactly what they were, I just hope to god that it's not a God Mode One-hit-kill ability."

SS: "Heh and why not?"

Ky: "Because then I'd be in the spotlight of every damn government in the world! I'd never be able to live a peaceful life again."

SS: "I see, though a person like me would certainly find such powers quite useful, especially after what happened at the attack."

Ky: "Well if that turns out to be the case I'd gladly give it to you."

SS: "Listen son, what do you really think is going on with this whole thing about you and the DSA?"

Ky: "No idea."

SS: "You don't suspect anything?"

Ky: "They could be lying to me or they could be telling the truth, it's the government, they could be up to anything. I just go with whatever they say so I can get on with my life and if they are up to something sinister then that's what we have guys like you around for."

SS: "R-right but you shouldn't rely entirely on your heroes to take care of your problems when there's something you could do about it."

Ky: "Yeah you'd be right in most other situations, but there's the chance that they really are doing some good and my cooperation could end up saving lives, doing nothing because of a suspicion would end up preventing that."

SS: "Hm, you have a point."

Ky: "That's why we have heroes to help deal with the consequences of good intentions."

SS: "You sure are deep for a high-schooler."

Ky: "It comes and goes."

SS: "Well I better get going…do you want to exchange contact info?"

Ky: "Um, sure it would once again be an honor but why me?"

SS: "Like I said you're quite the interesting character in current clandestine events it would be best if we could contact eachother if necessary."

Ky: "Yeah cool."

So Shuichi and Kyousuke exchanged their information through their phones.

SS: "Remember if you need my help with anything just give me a call."

Ky: "Yes sir, I promise to only call you for emergencies."

SS: "Good man, though don't be shy about calling for small things like life advice or combat tips."

Ky: "Thank you Mr. Sosuke."

SS: "Now head on home son and stay safe."

Ky: "Okay, later, that was so cool."

Kyousuke then went home and told Kirino all about his encounter to which she called BS until he called the man himself and hearing his voice on the other end nearly made her faint.
