After dealing with all the stuff at the office I drag myself back to my apartment and quickly discard my heels and put my hair in a clip to take a quick shower. I would get a quick nap in because the day I had was absolutely crazy. After Rainer and Lauren left I got bombarded with extra paper work because one of the employees had a sudden family emergency. That's okay with me but I jut hated that I had to have her work mixed right along with mine and Lachlan's. Good thing he would be back tomorrow and if I was right if get on ear full about the Rainer thing even though I quickly sent him an email about what happened. Hearing Lachlan bitch wasn't really something that would bother me, especially if he started fussing about the whole sex in the office thingy then I would just point out that he doesn't only have sex in his office but in the cubicles with the employees. This was the first time this has happened with me and I can't begin to count how many times I've caught Lachlan in compromising positions. So that's something I wasn't the slightest worried about.

As I make my way to my room I begin to strip off my clothes, unbuttoning my shirt and unzipping my shirt. Soon as I enter my room I toss the clothing into the hamper, all I needed was shot shower and a quick nap then I would get ready for date night with Lauren. I still had two hours or so.

I go into the bathroom and turn the water on, making sure it was as hot as I could take before stepping in and letting all the tension melt away as I soaped away the dirt from today. I loved having these moments to myself, Kenzi wasn't home so the house was quiet and peaceful, so when I got out of the shower and laid in my bed wrapped in my towel. I set an alarm for fifteen minutes and closed my eyes. Just a little while and I would get up and get dressed. Just a little while.

"Bo." I hear someone calling for me softly. "Babe, come one get up." It's Lauren. I smile lightly and hum, "Come on princess wake up for me."

I crack one of my eyes open and focus in on Lauren laying down next to me with an amused smile on her face, "Hey." I yawn and curl back into myself before closing my eyes, "What are you doing here?"

Lauren chuckles and kisses my forehead, making me smile wider, "It's past eight babe."

My eyes fly open and I sit up quickly, "Oh no! We were supposed to have date night!" I exclaim and grab my phone, I forgot to turn m ringer on, "No!" I groan and put my face in my hands. "Lauren I'm so sorry!"

She rubs my back and scoots up closer to my side to kiss my bare shoulder, "It's okay Bo, I should've known you would've been tired."

"I was only supposed to take a quick nap! I had an alarm and everything!" I hold up my phone to her. Lauren just laughs next a to me, "Laaaureeen." I whine, "How about I cook for you to make up for it?"

She nods, "You better, if Kenzi didn't call me and tell me to come and check on you while I was on my way here then you still would've been sleeping."

I groan and roll off the bed, "Just let me put some clothes on and I'll be right out."

Lauren eyes me as I step into my closet, dropping my towel as I went, "There's no rush." she purrs.

I laugh and poke my head out the door, "How about you go out a movie on downstairs and I can make us some burgers?"

"Burgers...hmm, okay!" she says and practically bounces out of the room.

With a little swirl I hurry and put on a pair of yoga pants and a black tank top. No need to put real people clothes on if I was just hanging around the house with Lauren.

Once I get downstairs I hear Lauren laughing along with another voice that I couldn't really make out. Who the hell was here?

I get into the living room and see Lauren and my mother standing at the door having a laugh.

"You should've seen her when she was a baby, used to run around the house naked. Had the cutest bum you'd ever see." my mother says before she notices me standing in the hallway giving her the 'you've got to be kidding me' look. She shrugs and walks over to me, "Hello stranger, have you forgotten how to use a phone to call your mother."

I pull her in for a light hug and laugh before releasing her, "Now you know how I hate when show up unannounced mother."

Mother waves me off and joins Lauren as she sits down on the sofa, "Nonsense Kenzi is the one who invited me. She said she had big news for you two and she wanted me to be here."

I look at Lauren who has an eyebrow raised, "Looks like you need to make extra burgers." she says with a laugh.

"Several more, we are talking about Kenzi here babe." I say while kissing the top of her head as I make my way into the joined kitchen.

"I'm not interrupting anything am I?"

I open my mouth to say yes when I catch Lauren giving me a pointed look, "Of course not ."

Mother places her hand on Lauren's knee softly, "I told you Lauren, call me Aife." she says with a warm smile and Lauren just nods, returning the same smile. "Bo dear, where's the photo album, I want to..."

"Oh no you don't." I say sternly as I work on starting up the burgers. "The last time that photo album was out Em made fun of my tush for weeks." I laugh.

Mom just stares at me with a content smile, "That's the first time I've heard you talk about her with a real smile on your face."

I blush slightly and make eye contact with Lauren who has a dreamy smile on her face, "What can I say, someone is showing me that the past may hurt but you can't run from it."

Laure blushes and looks away from me and my mother.

"Well, I miss that beautiful smile." mother says just as the doorbell rings. "Kenzi's here." she says and hops up from the couch and over to the door.

"Mama!" Kenzi squeals before wrapping her up in a tight hug, "Whatchu all dolled up for babes?" she asks as she makes her way into the apartment with two bottles of wine and a large envelope.

Mom just shrugs, "Gotta look good for my two favorite girls." she says and strikes a pose making all of us laugh.

Kenzi looks around and notices Lauren sitting on the couch, "Hotpants! I didn't know you were going to be here."

"Kenzi you told me to come and check on Bo like thirty minutes ago."

Kenzi shrugs and walks straight into the kitchen, "I figured you two you be bumpin mu..." she widens her eyes when she noticed mother staring at her in disproval, "mugs. Bumpin mugs of coffee." my sister ducks her head down and gives me a side hug noticing what I'm cooking, "Oh my god, are you making the burgers with pineapple in it?!" I nod. "You are the best sister ever! Plus this will go great with the news I have for you guys!" she claps her hands together and goes straight to open the wine she brought.

"Yeah, what is this news exactly?" I ask.

Kenzi just shrugs and turns on her cd that she always plays when she's in a great mood, "We can deal with that later BoBear, right now, Christina Aguilera says it's time to Express." she says and turns the music up so loud that I feel the counter shake. "Come on BoBo, dance with a sista." she says and bumps me with her hips.

Good thing I haven't put the patties on the burner yet so I just take the towel and wipe my hands off quickly before moving with my sister into the open space in between the kitchen and living room. This has been a ritual of ours since we were kids. Any time good things happened we danced to the fasted music we could find.

For a while I completely forget that Lauren is here as I get caught up in popping and shaking my body with my sister. Mother, as always just leans against the wall watching us.

The song comes to a close and Kenzi and I blow out our fake guns and pose like we were in Charlie's Angels and burst into laughter.

The round of applause from my mother and Lauren bring us back to the present, making me blush that Lauren just saw me dance like a maniac around my kitchen.

"Don't get shy on me now." Lauren says with a giggle as she walks up to me, wrapping her arms around my neck, "I thought you couldn't dance." she raises an eyebrow.

I shrug and snake my arms around her waist, "I can't." I laugh.

She pulls me closer to whisper in my ear, "If that's what you call not dancing then I'm going to have to ask you to do it for me often." she husks and pulls away.

I bite my lip and stare at her as she licks hers, "Okay you two. Enough of that." my mother says, snapping me out of my growing arousal.

"Burger...um...yeah." I stammer and break away from Lauren to go back into the kitchen.

"Hey Lauren! You wanna see Bobalicious babylicious self?" Kenzi asks.

"No! Stay away from the god damn photo album!" I practically scream.

"Isabeau McCorrigan Dennis, you watch your mouth." mother scolds.

Dammit, here we go again. I still remember when Emily first so those god awful pictures.

"Oh my goodness." Emily squealed as I curled in embarrassment beside her and my mother. "You were so cute Bo!"

I peak through my hands at her and she laughs at a picture of my splashing in the bathtub at two, "Mom." I whine.

"No I like them!" Emily says and kisses my temple, "Your tush was almost as cute then as it is now." she says with a wink and I sink further into the couch with a groan. "Like two little apples."

"She loved to run around naked, Sam and I could never get her to keep her clothes on for anything." mother says with a hard laugh.

"Are you two messing with my pumpkin?" my father asks as he walks into the room.

Forever being the daddy's girl, I shoot up off the couch and into his arms, "They are looking at my baby pictures."

He kisses the top of my head and squeezes me to him, "But you were so cute buttercup, if I could I would show everybody that comes through this house those pictures but your mother says that would be too much."

I bury my face into his chest and grab at his collar, "Not you too daddy."

"Awe it'll be alright Izzy, they won't love you any less. Even if the cheeks on you bottom were cuter than the ones on your face." he squeezes my cheeks and I fall back into the couch with a louder groan.

"Where's Kenzi when I need her?" I question.

"Right her Bo Baby!" she says flying through the front door.

"Where have you been?" Daddy questions as he sits in his recliner.

Kenzi skips over to him as sits into his lap, "Sorry daddy, I had a late examine."

Emily snorts, "Surrrre." she drawls and I nudge her with my shoulder.

"Shut it." Kenzi warns.

"Kenzington go upstairs and get washed, dinner is just about ready."

Daddy pushes her out of his lap, "Go on now."

"You ain't gotta tell me twice."

Mother gets up, "Sammie, come and help me set the table hmm?" she asks as she holds her hand out for my father to take. My parents often reminded me of a young teenage couple. The were always giggling and doing this cutesie stuff for each other, it was quite great to watch growing up. It showed me how I wanted to be treated and how I should treat the person I'm with. I would find them asleep in my father recliner, my mother curled up in his lap and his arms wrapped protectively around her. It gave hope for my future with Emily.

I glance at my fiancée and smile widely at her as she continued to scan through the photo album of my baby pictures, "Hey you." I whisper and kiss her shoulder.

She turns to me, her green eyes sparkling with love and admiration, "Hey there." she purrs and eyes my lips.

"See something you like?"

"As a matter of fact I do." she says with a sly smirk before capturing my lips with her softly. I bring my hand up to caress her cheek and her hand settles on my waist. If my the walked in here she would slap me silly. House rule number four was no heavy making out or sexual things in general under her roof. Whether it was a girl or a boy her and pop always told me sex is sex no matter who it's with.

"Mom! Bo's making out on the couch again!" Kenzi screams as she makes her way into the living room.

"Isabeau!" I hear my mother call out for me.

I pull away from Emily and give Kenzi the death stare, "Great, now I'm gonna have to deal with her lecture about house rule number four." I grumble as I push myself off the couch and into the kitchen.

I remember that night because that was the night before she died. Except now I didn't look back at the memories of my late fiancée with sadness. I looked at them with light and happiness. This made every memory of us different that what I thought before. It shined much needed light into my heart and I had Lauren to thank for that.

My gaze settles on the beautiful blonde that has literally turned my life upside in such a way that I can't really think of what I was doing before her. I didn't want to remember actually. All I could do was think about the future with the woman I love.

Wait.

Love?

Do I love Lauren?

I ponder that thought for a second but I knew that this was not the time or place to determine that all though the evidence was clear. This may take another one of Kenzi's great talks because I seriously don't know if I'm in love with Lauren or the idea of her. I would make sure to talk to Kenzi about this later on.

"Guys, burgers are ready." I announce, pulling the three woman out of there 'oooing' and 'awing'.

"Great in starved!" Kenzi says and rubs her stomach.

"Why are we not surprised?" Lauren jokes, making my mother and in laugh.

Kenzi stares at her pointedly and sticks out her tongue, "Watch yourself blondie."

And so, like it was a normal dinner, we all sit around the counter eating and chatting about what was going on in our lives. Apparently mom's got a secret admirer. Kenzi and I don't like that idea too much. Mom doesn't seemed to be phased by this person but she says it's nice to still be able to catch someone's attention. Lauren tells us more about the song selections she has for the reopening of the club and Kenzi talks about some shopping trip she had with Dyson and Hale. I tell them about my day and try not the choke as Lauren smirked and admired me openly, surely remember the time we had shared on my desk. Mother doesn't seem to notice but Kenzi does and tries not to laugh to hard.

After we all eat we curl up on the big sofa and watch all of the Resident Evils. Kenzi, mom, and Lauren laugh at how stupid the people are while yelling at the screen. Me on the other hand, I'm curled into Lauren's side, covering my face up from anything remotely scary. I hate scary movies but this was a time to spend with my reestablished family and I couldn't be more grateful. Even if that mean I would have nightmares for the next few nights. I was starting to feel whole again and that's all that mattered.
