Chapter 11

*Hospital*

Team 10 had exited the hospital with Kakashi hobbling on the crutches the hospital had given him as the silver-haired man was discharged with reminders of getting plenty of rest and hydration. "So Ino agreed to see if she can venture into Kinzoku's mind in hopes of helping him recover some of his memories?" Kakashi asked as Shikamaru and Choji walked near him in case the joinin tripped. "We actually don't know if Ino's jutsu will work on him," Asuma said as he let Kakashi lead everyone to Dr. Light's laboratory, "but it never hurts to try since half of his brain doesn't have any cybernetics. Shikamaru also had said that Kinzoku seemed to have met Sasuke before; your team was never here that long." Could he be a missing ninja? Kakashi asked himself as the cyborg did seen familiar, Maybe he's an exiled ninja?

Something caught Kakashi's attention as he stopped and said, "You four go on ahead, I'll catch up later. You just take a left at the second light and continue on before taking a right at the next light. I'll be alright." Asuma nodded as he motioned for his team to follow him until Kakashi couldn't see them anymore. "You can come out now," said the shinobi as he looked down an alley, "I knew you were following us since back at the hospital entrance…Bass." Bass had stepped out of the shadows wearing a cloak over his body as he slowly approached Kakashi, careful of any passing pedestrians.

"Kakashi," said Bass as he was damning his pride for being this weak towards a human, "I…I would like you to help me get stronger…strong enough to take out Sasuke." Kakashi raised a visible eyebrow as he said, "But isn't it forbidden for robots to harm humans? Or is this to defeat Mega Man and Kinzoku?" The robot shook his head and said, "I'm not going after Mega Man this time as Sasuke needs to be stopped. Proto Man and I have watched him turn Wily's fortress into his own and scrapped the Robot Masters before turning them into his own warriors, the RoNin as he calls them. From the aura from Sasuke alone tells me that I somehow wouldn't stand a chance against him; I'd be turned to scrap within minutes. You'll probably find Proto Man at Dr. Light's lab as that is where he'll most likely go as his skills and mind rivals Wily's." A slight breeze in the wind made the robot's cloak shift as Bass then said, "I on the other hand refuse to go see the creator of my rival for help and with Wily gone…I don't have that good of a rep than what Mega Man has." Kakashi saw the pained scowl on the robot's face as Bass then got on his knees and bowed. "You are actually the first human that isn't involved with robotics that I respect," Bass said as he was still damning his pride, "I…I would like you to train me…to help me get strong enough to stop Sasuke, or at least be able to slow him down."

Kakashi was surprise as Bass reminded him of how Sasuke was: arrogant and prideful. He is willing to let go of his pride and ask for help with how to better himself, the shinobi thought as he contemplated the idea, unlike Sasuke as I had no choice but to train him as the council made me train him. A few seconds had passed as Bass decided to steal a glance and saw Kakashi giving him what he could easily guess would be a smile. "I'm not sure how to exactly help you better yourself," said Kakashi as he smiled under his mask, "but I will help you as best as I can. I'll have to catch up with you later though." Bass nodded before getting up on his feet and handed Kakashi a slip of paper, both of them thinking about what had transpired.

I need to get stronger.

I hope I can help him.

We need to stop Sasuke.

*Dr. Light's Laboratory*

Kinzoku was looking at his hand as his memory of the battle with Sasuke was echoing in his mind. The cyborg then placed his hand on his head as more memories of Sasuke entered his mind…

Dobe…

"Shut up," Kinzoku whispered as a memory of him holding Sasuke in his arms after the boy had saved him from certain doom as more memories appeared…

Itachi, who is this kid?

He is my younger brother.

I heard the whole Uchiha Clan was wiped out…

Itachi!

"Gah!" Kinzoku cried out as he gripped his head and fell from his seat with memories flooding his mind: memories of fighting with Sasuke, meeting Itachi Uchiha and some blue man, watching Itachi flawlessly incapacitate Sasuke, and black cloaks with red clouds. The cyborg didn't see nor hear Roll or the others approach his as pain now coursed in his mind and upon his scar.

"What's wrong with him?!" Rock asked as the cyborg's body was twitching wildly. "I don't know," Dr. Light said as Kinzoku let out another pained cry, "but we have to keep him safe!"

"Mind Transfer Jutsu!"

Kinzoku soon became still as everyone looked to see Shikamaru and his squad with a blonde-haired girl in his arms. "Sorry if we're interrupting," said Shikamaru, "but we heard a scream and had to investigate. I'm Shikamaru Nara and these are my friends: Choji Akamichi, Asuma Sarutobi, and Ino Yamanaka." Kinzoku was soon sitting up and placed a hand on his face as he said, "Wow this feels weird; I can't explain it, but I feel like I'm wearing armor, but not wearing any armor at the same time."

"So what happened exactly?" Bubble Man asked as he observed his friend moving around like the pain earlier hadn't even happened. Shikamaru had Choji bring up a chair and placed the unconscious Ino in it as he said, "Ino is from a ninja clan that specializes with mind manipulation. Right now she's controlling your friend's body, though to be honest we never actually thought her family's jutsu would work on someone with literally half a brain." Roll looked at Kinzoku to see him standing with a fist to the side of his waist and felt a bit uncomfortable with the cyborg being controlled like a puppet.

"So what now?" Rock asked as he looked at the possessed Kinzoku. "Don't know actually," the possessed cyborg sheepishly admitted, "I actually thought I would just bounce off of him what with him having half of his brain being metal. Kakashi-sensei was actually hoping that I might be able to help Kinzoku with recovering his memories. It'll be a slow process as both memory and the mind can be extremely delicate and fragile. Make him remember too much and whatever is left of his brain might explode or he could get thrown into a total mind wipe." Dr. Light looked at Roll and Mega Man and received reluctant nods from both of them. "We'll let her help, but please do be careful," the doctor said as Kinzoku then sat in a meditative position.

"How about we get to know each other a bit while Ino's helping Kinzoku," Choji said as everyone agreed and began talking.

*Mindscape*

Ino opened her eyes to find herself in the ruins of a sewer that appears to be going through some reconstruction. "This guy had to have had one hell of a life," Ino said as she reluctantly traversed through the ankle high water as she noted the cybernetics in the walls. "Abuse at a very young age can do that," said a voice as the Yamanaka looked and saw a small robotic fox, "I am Q."

"Q? That's a strange name." Ino said as she saw the scowl and small glare from the robot, "I-I think it's quite a cute name! I'm…

"Ino Yamanka," said Q as he walked by the girl, "I know everything about who Kinzoku used to be as I've been with him even before he became Kinzoku." Ino blinked as the robotic fox then said, "I guess you could say that I'm a part of Kinzoku and no, I just cannot tell you everything as the rest of his brain could end up blowing up from the sudden rush of so much memories. I would, however, like some help with restoring his memory."

Ino followed Q until the two of them were somehow looking at the ruins of a city with nine oddly-shaped towers with red clouds billowing from them. "What is this place?" Ino asked as she saw the massive destruction and the many piles of rubble as she and Q carefully traveled the area. "This is the destroyed fraction of his mind," Q said as he sniffed around a pile of rubble, "This is the result of the trauma Kinzoku had gone through when Dr. Wily made him into what he is today." The Yamanaka was stunned as the damage was insane as she was questioning just HOW Kinzoku is mentally sane.

Seeing the robotic fox start digging at a pile of rubble, Ino asked, "What are you doing?" Q didn't stop digging as he answered, "I'm looking for fragments of Kinzoku's old memories to hopefully repair them and bring back some of those memories or at least have it repaired just enough to finish repairing itself through a trigger outside of Kinzoku's mind."

Sniffing the spot where he was digging, Q then began to dig furiously until he later stabbed his snout into the rubble. Ino then saw the robotic fox pull out a green jacket that was torn in certain spots before examining it. "Dammit," Q cursed to himself as he saw the tears in the jacket, "I can't tell whose jacket this is or if this is even a jacket at all!" The robotic fox then let out a sigh as he said, "I'll have to wait until I find more pieces before I can use this."

Ino picked up the jacket and saw the many tears in it before she said, "Well let's look for more pieces then."

"It's not that simple," Q said as he climbed to the top of a different pile of rubble, "especially with him around."

"With who around?" Ino asked before she felt another presence in the area and turned around to see a cloaked figure standing on the top of a different pile of rubble. She really couldn't tell who it was, but she only similar whisker marks on the person's cheeks and soul piercing red eyes.

"Well, well, well," said the cloaked figure as he slid down the pile, "look what the cat dragged in…a filthy rat!" Q jumped in between the cloaked figure and Ino before growling towards the figure. Seeing the green jacket, the cloaked figure then said, "I know that piece of crap fabric anywhere; you can't fake that kind of pungent smell anywhere. Still trying to rebuild his memories…Niney?"

"Ino," said Q as he kicked the jacket towards said girl, "I'll hold him off while you get that back to the sewers. From there, take a right as soon as you enter and go to the third door on the left. Place the jacket in the room and leave; don't mess with anything else, just get out!"

The cloaked figure tried to rush and grab the jacket but was stopped as Q bit his arm, distracting the figure long enough for Ino to collect the jacket and run. She wasn't sure what possessed her to run, but the cloaked figure was oozing hatred and it was somehow aimed towards her. Gotta keep running, Ino thought as she ran back towards the entrance of the sewer, Can't let that guy catch me!

She kept running until she saw a large blade sticking out from a nearby pile of rubble. "Might as well help," Ino said to herself as she grabbed the handle and pulled to only reveal that the blade was just broken, "Great."

"Seems like she found a piece of memory," said the cloaked figure's voice from behind, "Judging by the feel of the memory, it's one that could be quite useful to me!"

Ino bolted away with the jacket wrapped around the broken sword before she saw the sewer entrance before an explosion violently tossed her to the side. The kunoichi looked to find the cloaked figure standing where a pile once stood with what looked like pearl meditation orbs in his hands. "Seems like everyone's just finding a piece of his memory," said the cloaked figure as he moved the orbs around in his hand before crushing them into glass shards and dust, "Oops, guess those were fragile. Oh well."

"Damn you!" roared a voice as Ino looked to see a wolf-sized version of Q with three tails, "Ino get going!"

"Not until she gives me that blade!" the cloaked figure ordered as he was about to charge towards the kunoichi but was then blown back by a powerful blast.

"What was that!?" Ino said as the blast had destroyed a bit of the surrounding rubble.

"Never mind that!" Q roared as he wrapped Ino with one of his tails and tossed the girl into the sewer, "Now go before he gets back here!" Seeing Ino vanish into the darkness, Q then looked at the broken shards and said, "At least there's another pair of the Byakugan eyes out there."

"That's until I get to them first," said the cloaked figure as he stumbled towards the robotic fox with some of his cloak torn to reveal a pair of baggy orange pants, "Never would have thought you use that with so many other memories hidden around here."

"If it means to keep them out of your hands, then I'll gladly destroy ALL of his memories!" Q roared defiantly before he leapt towards the cloaked figure as the two soon clashed into an epic battle.

Ino ran through the sewers in hopes of finding that room Q was talking about. "Gotta keep going!" the kunoichi said to herself as she heard a loud crash from where Q was, "Okay, second door on the left…or was it the third door on the right?" Seeing the many dilapidated doors, Ino carefully approached one of them and opened it to reveal a room with mannequins that were dressed in different fashions.

One of them was in the shape of a small child wearing green overalls while another was a teenaged build with long black hair wearing a navy blue kimono jacket. "I wonder who those two were," Ino said as she tried to look at the name plates, but saw that the writings on them were unreadable.

Ino then saw an adult-sized mannequin that was wearing black pants with grey striped leg warmers over the ankles and had bandages wrapped around its head and neck like a scarf. With curiosity getting the better of her, Ino unwrapped the broken blade and at first tried to place the green jacket on the mannequin, but the jacket wasn't even able to get on the statue as it was somehow being repelled. Trying again with the broken sword, Ino was suddenly surprised when the mannequin grabbed the blade out of her hand and hefted it onto its shoulder in an intimidating fashion. The kunoichi watched as a bright light shone from the statue before something forced her out of Kinzoku's mind.

Ino never did see the writing on the name plate to reveal a name: Zabuza Momochi.

*Dr. Light's Laboratory*

"AAAAHHHH!" Kinzoku yelled as he gripped his head while Ino's body jerked up. Everyone, including a now present Kakashi, surrounded the two with great concern.

"What happened?" Kakashi asked as Ino shook her head as she was back in her body, "What did you find out?"

"A lot," said Ino as Choji hand her a glass of water, "much more than I could imagine."

"I…I just remembered someone," Kinzoku said as he pulled his hand away from his face, "I…I remember…Zabuza Momochi. I…fought with him before and he had a partner…I can't remember who, but Zabuza was an extremely scary son of a bitch."

Could he have met Zabuza? Kakashi thought as he easily remembered fighting one of the Seven Swordsmen and how difficult Zabuza was, Was he a ninja for Kiri?

"Is there anything about his mind you could tell us Ino?" Asuma asked as he saw Roll help Kinzoku into a chair.

"Yeah." Ino said as she took another sip of water, "Kinzoku's mind is a complete mess with nothing but destruction. I was able to meet a small robotic fox by the name of Q that was trying to repair Kinzoku's memories by digging through the destruction that littered the place." Ino then swallowed a lump as she continued, "We then met a cloaked figure that also resided inside Kinzoku's mind, but this guy…hate was just rolling off of him as he and Q had gone into battle while Q had me take a piece of memory to a safe place. I…I saw the cloaked figure destroy a piece of memory, a pair of pearl meditation balls. When I got to the safe zone, I saw other memories but they were incomplete as the mannequins seemed to be missing pieces of who they were supposed to be."

"Think we should try it again?" Choji asked with hope, "We may find out more about who Kinzoku was."

"I think we should at least let both Ino and Kinzoku rest a bit, Choji," Shikamaru said as he saw how winded said two were, "I'm also thinking that this cloaked figure could be trouble in the future."

"I think so too," Ino said as she could still feel the hate from the mysterious figure, "He, along with Q, seem to knew who Kinzoku once was. Q's keeping quiet as to not risk an overload on Kinzoku's brain while that cloaked figure…I'd rather not know. The only other piece of memory Q and I had recovered was some sort of green jacket, but the robotic fox couldn't do anything as it was badly damaged."

"Still," said Asuma as he saw Kiznoku and Roll hug each other, "it seems like it maybe longer until Kinzoku can fully remembers who he once was. Question is…what will happen afterwards." The rest of the Konoha ninja nodded to each other as the cloaked figure could cause some trouble for the cyborg in the future.

Bubble Man brought a hand to his chin and thought, "Zabuza Momochi…catchy."

*Sasuke's Laboratory*

Sasuke looked on the screens of the images his spy droids had provided him as he continued to search for the one person he needed to find. "Where are you Naruto?" the teen asked with a growl in his voice, "WHERE!?"

"My Lord," said a smooth masculine voice as a slender robot in navy blue armor wielding a tri-pronged trident appeared and kneeled towards Sasuke, "it appears that two of Wily's robots had escaped your grasp and informed Mega Man and his friends of your plans."

"What of it, Mizu," Sasuke said as he turned to face the robot, "They're just two weaklings; I'm not worried about those two. However, with Mega Man knowing of my plans…"

"What do you wish for us to do?" Mizu asked as he waited for his master's orders, "Should we attack his base of operations?"

"While tempting as that sounds," Sasuke said as he now stood before the robot, "I, however, would like to give Mega Man a taste of the power I possess. Gather the other RoNin and lure him out. Make him witness the power of whom he is dealing with!"

"By your orders, Master," said Mizu as he nodded before getting onto his feet and left the room. The robot traveled until he approached a room where more robots were waiting, some of them expecting a fight.

"So," said a fire-red robot that held Sword Man's blade on his back, "what were the master's orders?"

"Our orders are to lure Mega Man out and show him the power Lord Sasuke possesses," Mizu answered as he noticed a small robot in blue and yellow armor approaching him.

"What of the two robots that escaped?" asked the smaller robot, "Those two might have blabbed Lord Sasuke's plan to Mega Man by now."

"He told us to not worry about those two weaklings, Rai," Mizu answered as a feminine robot crosses in brown armor crossed her arms.

"What of the cyborg, Kinzoku?" the robot asked as male robot in pale green armor stood next to her, "Surely he may cause some trouble."

"We shall handle him as per Lord Sasuke's orders should he be in league with Mega Man, Tsuchi," Mizu answered as he saw three other robots in the form of a frog, a snake with camouflage paint, and a slug waiting in the shadows, "Lord Sasuke is still working on the Susano-O, so we also must buy as much time for him as possible."

"Should we travel the world to stall Mega Man?" asked the robot in pale green armor with an efficient voice, "I've actually wanted to check out the tropical islands of the Bahamas."

"If Kaze's getting the Bahamas, then I call the bayous in the Gulf *ka-ribbit*!" said the frog-like robot as it pointed a thumb at itself, "I'd like my places to be extra marshy! *ka-ribbit*"

"Enough!" Mizu cried out as all of the robots looked at him, "Lord Sasuke had given us our orders: We are to lure Mega Man and demonstrate the power Lord Sasuke has, not bicker among each other about territory! Now MOVE!" After seeing the other RoNin head out of the room, Mizu mumbled under his breath, "If we do get our own territory, I'll be damned and scrapped if I lose any of those tropical islands to that fickle flake, Kaze."

In his command room, Sasuke was looking over his plans for the Susano-O and other projects for both Mega Man AND Naruto. "Once I find you Naruto," the Uchiha said to himself as he looked at a different set of blueprints, "I WILL make you pay and should Mega Man get in my way…I shall make him regret ever being created."

"My Liege," said a sinister voice as Sasuke turned to see a robot in red ninja garbs and wearing a mask in the form of the Sharingan eye, "I have finished my training. What do you wish for me to do?"

"I want you to keep an eye on the city, Mangekyo," Sasuke said without turning his attention away from the blueprints, "Should you find Naruto, bring him to me, otherwise report to me on your findings and whenever I call for you."

"As you wish, my Liege," said Mangekyo as he faded into the darkness as Sasuke then left to oversee the construction of the Susano-O, waiting for the right moment to show the world his might.
