"He is a nice demon," Kaede started before seeing Sesshomaru leave the hut and heading over to them. "I think you and him will make a nice couple." Kagome looked up at the older Miko shocked. How did she know she was hinting that?

"Kagome?" That is when she heard Sesshomaru's voice.

Now

Chapter 12

Sesshomaru had woken up to only find that his princess was gone from his arms. How was it that she was able to get away without waking him? He didn't stay sitting long as he got up to find his Kagome. He could hear her faded voice outside, and came out of the hut to see her helping the old Miko. He didn't care if she was helping though; he was upset she left him making her an easy target of an attack if there was one. Sure she was a demoness but she didn't know how to use her powers yet which only caused her to be in a bigger danger.

"Kagome," he said a little unsure as he walked up to her. She looked up at him with a smile as if she had gotten a gift.

"Yes Sesshomaru?" She smiled with the thought of what Kaede had said but she was worried when Sesshomaru didn't smile. "Is something wrong?"

That little question made him want to yell at her but instead he would deal with this when they were alone. "It's time to go," he said looking off to the east.

"Can I go and say bye to Sango and them?" She asked but there was a growled that came from him. That was never a good sign.

"Why don't ye go? I will explain them ye friends," Kaede said seeing that Sesshomaru was mad about something. Kagome looked at her raising an eyebrow before nodding. With this Sesshomaru grabbed her into his arms as his cloud formed under them. In no time the where out in the open air.

"Sesshomaru," she said looking at him confused. What was wrong with him?

"What?" He growled and she knew he was angry. His growl was right at her.

"What in hell got you all mad?" Kagome said trying to push away from his hold but he only held onto her tighter. His golden amber eyes where tinted with red.

"Why did you leave the safety of this Sesshomaru," he growled out at her. His anger filled eyes looked right into the shocked violet eyes of Kagome. She had no idea what to say. He was mad that she had went to help Kaede and it was her fault. She guessed she should have waited for him to wake up or t=just wake him up and tell him.

"I didn't mean to upset you," she purred rubbing her cheek against his chest. She didn't need him to be upset with her, since he was her love. She still could feel the love from the past but now it was stronger. "I was just wanting to help Kaede. I should have asked," she said submitting to the alpha.

He purred as his anger left. She wasn't really thinking was she? She just want to help that old Miko, he thought. Kagome on the other hand started thinking back to the time she traveled with Inuyasha.

A month ago

Kagome and her friends just set up camp when Inuyasha had ran off quickly. Sango shook her head at the sight, while Shippo helped his mother start with the food. Miroku thought he would have his fun at this point with Sango which only got a hand print right on his face.

"Would he ever learn mama?" Shippo asked Kagome. She had just finished making the fire pit and Shippo made a fire using his fox fire.

"I don't think he will, Shippo," Kagome said with a smirk. She had a funny feeling Sango didn't mind it that often. At that moment was when Inuyasha returned but in his arms was an injured dirt pot, as Kagome would say it.

"Kikyo," Sango almost growled which got a warning glare from Inuyasha. Kagome rolled her eyes and kept making their food.

"Don't brother to say a word Sango," Kagome said as if Kikyo was dirt, which she was. Before Kagome knew it, she had been slapped right across the camp ground.

"You will not disrespect Kikyo. She is staying in our group now," Inuyasha said lying Kikyo down. Kagome's eyes watered, this was the first time Inuyasha had slapped her and she never thought he would. Wasn't she still his friend? It didn't matter; Kagome got up onto her feet and glared at Inuyasha.

"Why would we protect something that is already dead?" Kagome screamed, but again she was slapped and flew in a nearby tree. Pain ripped through Kagome as she hit the tree, her bone in her arm had felt as if it snapped. She would believe it is.

"Inuyasha," Sango yelled hearing Kagome scream. She could only watch as Kagome got up and grabbed her pack running away. Kagome knew that Sango would watch Shippo, but she had to get away at the moment before she would get killed. She ran through the trees for a while before tripping on her feet that sent her rolling down the slope and into someone's camp site.

She was so beat up by the rolling and Inuyasha that she had pasted out without even seeing who's camp site it was.

She came to, and as soon as her eyes were open she was blinded by the sun. She looked to the side to see a camp fire going and a little girl. Kagome tried to figure out who it was before the little girl turned and smile.

"You're awake," she almost screamed as she ran over to sit by her. "You were really injured when you fell in camp." That was when Kagome realized it was Rin, Sesshomaru's ward. Her eyes widen in fear, Sesshomaru wasn't one to like humans and she didn't want to get in the way.

"Umm, Rin I got to go," she said before she tried to get up. Rin frowned and pushed Kagome's shoulders down.

"Lord Sesshomaru said that you have to rest to get better," Rin said making Kagome stop trying to leave. The rest of her time with them was getting to know Rin and Sesshomaru, Jaken she could live without even knowing him.
