Well here's another chapter. I have now officially started Harry's second year at Hogwarts.

Before you begin to read, I would like to clarify something. I had some questions regarding Harry's last name. Harry's name is now Harry James Potter Snape. He now has both last names. People can either call him Potter or Potter Snape. But, if Harry ever needs to sign any official documents, he must use his full name. I hope that clears that up.

I had some really great feedback from the last chapter and even added some of that to this chapter. Now, keep up those awesome reviews! I just hit the thirty review mark and the five thousand views mark and I am super happy! I hope to keep seeing more and more of both.

Disclaimer: Still not mine.

Chapter 12: Troubles with Flying Cars

Harry sat nervously in his father's office. He knew that the man was angry. He had every right to be. Harry had done something incredibly foolish, but for good reason. Actually, it was a very poor reason. He could have done about a hundred different things before doing what he had done. It had been reckless and stupid, and Harry knew that the man had every right to be angry.

"You were seen by no less than seven muggles." His father growled from behind the evening edition of the Daily Prophet. Harry swallowed nervously, wish Ron was still with him. He was currently with Professor McGonagall receiving the same lecture Harry was now. Suddenly, Snape threw down the paper with a flourish, startling Harry. "Do you have any idea how serious this is?"

"We thought for sure that it was more than seven," Harry pointed out. "But seven's a good number."

"Harry, this isn't a joking matter," Snape growled at him in a low, dangerous tone. "You very well could have died. Do you understand that?"

Harry did nothing but look down at his shoes.

"Answer me, Harry. Do you know how much trouble you are in?" Snape angrily asked his son.

Harry refused to look up at the man. "Is it greater than when I went after the stone or less?"

Snape slammed his hand on his desk, causing Harry to jump slightly in his seat. Snape quickly rose from his desk and stormed around to where Harry was sitting. He firmly grabbed Harry's chin and forced the boy to look up him. "Keep this up, Mr. Potter, and you shall find yourself in even more trouble than you are already in." He leaned forward, so that he and Harry were looking at each other eye to eye. "Your current behavior is unacceptable and downright deplorable. I expect my son to act much better than this." Snape released his chin and went back to sit behind his desk.

Harry could feel his eyes burning as he tried to fight the tears that threatened to fall. He hated disappointing Snape like this, but what was he going to do now? Harry looked down again. He couldn't even look the man in the eyes.

"You should consider yourself very lucky, Potter, that I can only punish you as your father. If you were in my house, you would have been expelled already. If the Headmaster wouldn't have allowed expulsion, you would be suspended and doing the most gruesome deten—"

"Severus, enough." A voice declared from the doorway of Snape's office. Harry didn't even need to look up to see who that voice belonged to great. Sinistra was here now, and Harry didn't know if that was going to be a good thing or a bad thing. "You shall not speak to our son that way."

"How dare you."

"I beg your pardon?"

"How dare you come in here and tell me how to discipline my son. I'll remind you that I am the man of the house and you—"

"I would advise that you refrain from finishing that statement, Severus Snape." Sinistra told him in a dangerous voice. Harry didn't dare look up from where he was sitting, but he could tell that Sinistra was walking towards the desk due to the clicking sound of her heels against the stone floor. She stopped right in front of the desk and Harry saw her lean forward out of the corner of his eye. "You may be the "man of the house", Severus, but I am just as dangerous as you are. I even learned a new spell the other day. It is very similar to a bat bogey hex, but it only works on men. I hear that it can be quite painful down there." Harry grimaced when Sinistra said that, and he was almost certain Snape did as well. Harry felt as if the whole dynamic of the room had just chanced. "Well, that appeared to have toned down the testosterone level in here. It was quite high when I entered."

Sinistra took the seat next to Harry and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Harry, I would appreciate it if you would look at your father when he is speaking with you. It is a sign of respect towards us. Don't worry, he's done being a bastard for now."

Harry nervously looked up and was surprised by what he saw. Snape was bent forward with his head in his hands and looking even more pale than usual. "I'm sorry." Harry muttered.

Sinistra stroked Harry's unruly black hair. "What are you sorry for, kiddo?"

"For making you two fight. I made a stupid decision causing you two to fight. I'm really, really sorry." Snape slowly raised his head to look at Harry in surprise. "I'll do whatever you want. I'll do more chores, I'll eat less, I won't sleep in my bed anymore, I'll—"

"Harry, what the hell are you talking about?" Snape asked.

"I don't want you to fight over me." Harry said quietly, looking down again.

"Oh, Harry," Sinistra gently placed two fingers under Harry's chin and lifted his gaze again. "You did not cause us to fight. We weren't even fighting. Severus was just acting like an ass and got a little carried away, and I just needed to make him aware of that. And I don't know what you were talking about, but know that we will never punish you like that."

"Harry," Snape said and Harry slowly turned to look at him. "I'm sorry for scaring you like that. I was merely frightened. You could have died tonight, and I don't know what I would have done if you had died. We have had this conversation before, but I will keep repeating myself. You are my son now, and if anything ever happened to you, I don't know what I would do. Now, would you please explain to your mother and I why you took that flying car."

"The barrier had closed," Harry told his parents. "All of the Weasleys had already gone through. Ron and I didn't know what to do, so we took the car. I know that it was probably one of my dumber ideas, but I didn't know what else to do. I'm sorry."

"I know you're sorry, but that doesn't change what you did." Snape said as he leaned back in his chair. "I hope you realize that we will have to punish you for your foolishness."

Harry nodded. "I know."

"Very well." Snape and Sinistra shared a look. Snape then proceeded to explain his punishment. "You shall spend the next week here rather than in your dorm. Every night you shall write one hundred lines, and I expect an essay from you by the end of the week explaining why you made this decision, what your other options were, and the dangers that you faced. Min Min also demanded that I give you a detention with another member of the staff to serve as your punishment from the school. Do you understand?"

Harry nodded. "Yes, sir."

"Enough of that." Snape opened his arms and Harry rushed into the embrace. Snape rubbed his back as a few tears fell. "I love you, son."

"I love you too, Dad." Harry mumbled.

"Well, let's just forget about dear old mum over here. It's not like she broke up the fight or anything."

Both father and son chuckled at that. Snape gave Harry a pat on the back. "Go give Aurora a hug."

Harry nodded and went over and hugged Sinistra. "Harry, if you scare me like that again, I will lock you in your bedroom forever."

Harry merely smiled and tightened his embrace. "Okay, Sinistra."

Harry walked into the Great Hall the next day to find everyone in the Great Hall laughing. Harry went and sat next a red faced Ron. "What did I miss?"

"Mum just sent me a howler." Ron told him.

"What's a howler?"

"It's like a letter that yells at you. I guess that's the best way to describe it," Hermione explained.

"Mum was angry when she found out." Ron let out a groan as he grabbed another piece of toast. "What am I gonna do, Harry?"

"Well, if it makes you feel any better, Sinistra threatened to hex Dad in the balls last night." Harry said with grin as he also grabbed a piece of toast.
