Chapter 12…
While molly had decided not to tell carly or jack about what she'd seen at that point janet,who assumed that molly had run straight to her cousin,showed up at carly's house,wanting to make sure that jack didn't hear about what had happened,so nervous she knocked on the door.
"What are you doing here,janet?"asked her husband's ex-wife irritated as she opened up the door;"Jack isn't here if that's what you're worried about?"
"That's not why i'm here."answered she;"Isn't molly here?"
"No,she isn't."replied carly;"She's probaly out at the farm."
"Have you talked to her?"said her ex-husband's wife;"Has she called you in the last twenty minutes or so,carly?"
"Why are you asking me about molly?"asked she suspicious;"What's going on?"
"Nothing is going on."answered janet quickly and walked away;"I have to go."
"Wait a minute!"replied her husband's ex-wife as she followed janet out to her car;"Is this about what molly told jack,janet,did jack tell you and is that why you're looking for molly?"
"So she allready told jack and you know about it too?"said she shocked;"Look,it wasn't what it looked like,carly,molly got it all wrong and nothing happpened."
"What wasn't what it looked like,janet,what did molly walk in on?"asked carly even more suspicious;"I thought you were talking about something else,but appearently molly found out about something that you did and now you're worried that jack is gonna find out about it."
"So molly didn't talk to you or jack."replied her ex-husband's wife relieved and got in her car;"Just mind your own business,carly,this doesn't concern you."
"Then don't come to my house if it doesn't concern me damn it!"scolded she while she walked back to the house,to call her cousin to get to the bottom of it.
A little while later molly showed up at the house,after carly's call,and was let in by her cousin;"Hi,cuz,what was so urgent?"
"Janet was here not long ago."answered she;"What happened?"
"What do you mean?"asked molly,trying to act like she had no idea what carly was talking about;"What did she say?"
"She seemed pretty eager to talk to you and when i assumed that this had something to do with you talking to jack this morning she seemed shocked that you had told not only jack but also me."said her cousin;"But then she started talking about that it wasn't what it looked like and that you got it all wrong and that nothing happened i knew that she was talking about something else,molly"
"So you know about the talk i had with jack this morning?"replied she,quickly trying to change the subject because she didn't want carly to find out the truth;"I'm sorry,cuz,i know that i shouldn't have told jack about what we talked about,but i was worried about you and the last thing i want is for you to give up on jack."
"Yes,i know all about your talk with jack and i wasn't very happy about that,but we will talk about that another time because right now i want to know what happened with janet!"answered carly with a look that left no doubt about her wanting to get to the bottom of it;"What did you walk in on?"
"I walked in on her and dusty making out,right in the middle of metro."began her cousin hesitating as she realized that she didn't have any other choice then to tell carly to truth;"I'm sorry,carly,i didn't want to tell you because i didn't want to cause you anymore pain."
"Does jack know?"asked she in shock;"Did you tell him?"
"I wanted to,but then i realized that it was better if i didn't tell him because he should leave janet for you and not because she cheated on him with dusty."said molly;"I'm sorry,cuz,are you angry with me for not telling you or jack right away?"
"No,i'm not angry with you about that and i can understand why you didn't go straight to jack or me."answered her cousin;"I am mad at you for telling jack about what we talked about,molly,you shouldn't have done that."
"I know and i'm sorry."replied she;"Are you going to tell jack about janet cheating on him with dusty?"
"No,i'm not."sighed carly;"You're right,moll,jack needs to come back to me because he loves me and not because janet is a tramp."
