A 'typical' but lucky Pokémon fangirl gets her wish granted by Arceus and ventures into the Pokémon World as Leaf Green. Will she make pokémon friends like she hoped, or weird out all of the 'game' characters? Or maybe both? OC-insert fic. Rated T for mild language and a little more than cartoon violence. No pairings but shipping goggles are fine. Discontinued.

12. Important Notice!

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

THIS IS NOT AN UPDATE! Just making it clear.

Authoress feeling really self-loathing here because 'The Third Challenger' is being discontinued. I'm feeling especially bad because of all the hype I made about it previously.

I shall explain myself as best as I can. I owe that much.

For the past two months or so, I've been having trouble picking up my DS and continuing the adventure in the game. I've lost the motivation for Pokémon in general and I can't be excited about AS/OR like everybody else because I don't have a 3DS to play it. And I believe in the value of playing a Pokémon game for myself rather than watching a playthrough. It doesn't really help that my parents hate gaming so I can't buy the consoles myself until I become independent from them. Which will be far in the future.

Don't get me wrong. I still love Pokémon a lot but the enthusiasm has died down like Team Rocket blasting off again. And like Team Rocket, it will come back again, someday. Then, I will write Pokémon fanfics.

This idea hasn't been given up on entirely. Someday, I'll rewrite it from the beginning but it will be a compressed version with significant scenes instead of this where I have been fluffing about and weighing it down.

Another reason is that – well this sounds incredibly lame and spoiled, but – I've been on a journey to find myself... I think. I have no idea what to call it but recently I've been exploring different aspects of my personality and I don't like what I'm finding there. Don't worry, I'm not feeling suicidal but just really cynical. Still trying to find my niche in life. Thus, I can't find the crazy, idealistic, bratty part of me that writes Leaf. I think it's the teenage hormones that's making me feel this way, but I digress.

Long story short, you guys don't deserve a half-hearted story written out of obligation so I am discontinuing this story. My apologies won't suffice so thank you guys so much for putting up with me for so long. Thank you everyone who reviewed, favourited, followed and read 'The Third Challenger'. It was fun while it lasted :D
