(notes): Hello there people! Sorry to update so late, but I was busy with a lot of things, and my extra anime and manga weren't helping. I just finished Kamisama Hajimemashita episode 2 of season 2. And I hope for more episodes soon! Woo! You have to try that anime!

Fact: The youngest person to ever be divorced was 10 years old.

12.

His eyes widened in shock, as he stared into his ex fiancé's surprised eyes. He glanced back at Lucy, and the girl was still somehow sleeping. He guessed that she was tired, since they did have a pretty eventful day and all. But, looking back at Lisanna, he just wanted to give her a fake parachute and throw her out of a plane. He closed his eyes in irritation, slowly pushing her out of the room. Closing the door shut, he didn't let her move an inch before shouting, "HAVE YOU GONE MAD, WOMAN?"

"OH? LIKE YOU'RE THE ONE TO TELL ME THAT!?" Lisanna shouted back at him, both of them not noticing the door open.

"THE FUCK? Aren't you supposed to be out already?"

"I was just making sure you knew I was leaving!"

"Oh yeah, and the best way to do that is to BARGE INTO MY FREAKING ROOM?"

"THIS ISN'T YOUR ROOM!"

"WELL THAT DOESN'T GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO—wait? How did you even know I was in here?"

"I saw you walk in here and—"

"And you just assumed it was okay?"

"Well no, but I—"

"You what?!"

"Calm down Natsu! What is going on with you and …", Lisanna paused to point at the direction of the previously closed door, and her mouth fell open. Lucy was standing right behind Natsu, staring at Lisanna. Her anger boiled up inside. How dare she? How dare she steal Natsu away from her? He had been hers from the start! Lucy was never supposed to come back!

"You!" Lisanna yelled, causing Natsu to turn around and jump back in surprise as he saw his brand new maid awake. "You did this to me! It was all your fault!"

"What!?" Lucy yelled, causing Natsu to return to reality and defend her.

"It's not her fault at all! Look, this marriage thing wouldn't have worked from the start, and we both knew that all too well!" He shouted, "We're just too different! And I didn't even like you from the beginning!"

"You didn't like her from the beginning either!" Lisanna yelled in comeback.

Natsu opened his mouth to deny it, but he quickly closed it. She was right.

Taking a glance back at Lucy, he got all the courage he needed. "Well… some things change!"

Lisanna's eyes softened, "Wow Natsu, you can actually say something so swee—"

"But the fact that you are a bitch will never change!"

"Never mind…"

"And I choose who I want to marry! I don't need you to decide it for me!" Natsu was fed up with everything being decided for him in advance. It was like that ever since he was a kid. His parents would choose who he'd play with, what he'd do, what clothes he should wear… it was never him. He never got the chance to do anything, simply because his parents had it all figured out. "Yeah, and you know what? I'm glad I get to choose for myself. Because never in a million years would I choose you! If I had to choose now, I'd pick Lucy over you any day of the goddamn week!"

Lisanna stood there silently, absorbing the words barked at her with such a huge amount of hatred. "I see. You're not nice at all! You're a jerk! A fucking rich-assed maniac who doesn't give a shit about—"

"That's right kettle, listen to the pot!" Lucy shouted, making both of them stop in their tracks and listed to what she had to say. She had been standing there all this time, not getting the chance to speak or express herself. Just watching these two people bicker like little children over a broken toy. She had decided on not to interfere, and let them both just say what was on their minds, and calm down a bit, but it didn't seem like that was happening any time soon.

"You both need to shut up! I have been in this house for I don't even know how long now, and I think I know both of you well enough to say that you're not as different as you think! Your attitudes have no differences, except for the fact that deep down inside, Natsu at least has a little mercy and kindness stored up. While Lisanna on the other hand, has none whatsoever. So, I think it's best for me to side with the person who actually cared a little bit about my whereabouts, not like the woman who abandoned me for some stupid reasons even though she was already seeing another man! But, Natsu's no cherry on a top either! He is one of the rudest human beings to ever walk the planet, and I am proud to be able to call myself a person who has survived his torture in the past! Sure enough, you're on the same boat! You both hate each other to the core, and you don't care what happens to the other one. So why not just SHUT THE FUCK UP and STOP BEING WORTHLESS ASSHOLES who just ANNOY THE FUCK OUT OF ME every fucking time I see you! So, Lisanna, just GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE, don't ever come back, and GROW UP FOR FUCK'S SAKE! And Natsu, you need to CALM THE FUCK DOWN, and just PICK UP YOUR SHIT, and don't ever think about BEING FUCKING RUDE TO ME AGAIN! You are both just cowards, hiding from your stupid fears, and bickering like children! I refuse to see you act like this! GROW UP AND ACT NORMAL!"

Silence ensued, as the room's oxygen seemed to be sucked out, and everyone was having a hard time trying to calm down.

Lisanna and Natsu stared at Lucy in awe, not understanding how she made such an outburst like that without his father hearing the commotion and walking over here to kill all of them. But sure enough, that was a good thing.

But what stood out the most, was that precious and peaceful little Lucy, had just gone mad with power, and yelled her brains out.

Natsu needed a plan. And he needed it fast.

"L-Lucy's right," he started, watching her breathe slowly, "I'll walk Lisanna to her car."

And so, they left the little monster inside, while they walked to Lisanna's arranged car.

"I guess the brat was right." Lisanna admitted, watching the servant put her luggage in the trunk. "So, she could yell after all."

"Yeah." Natsu scratched the back of his neck.

"Wow, she gave it to us good! Look, we're standing next to each other and we're not trying to gouge each other's eyes out." She laughed lightly, watching as Natsu smiled too.

"She sure is something, huh? I never expected her to snap like that. I didn't even know she had that in her." Natsu admitted, as the servant opened the back door for Lisanna. "But hey, even though you're leaving, and it's a bit late for that, let's try to get along from now on, okay?"

She smiled back, "Sure. And don't forget, I know where you live!"

He laughed, as the door was shut after her, and the car drove off.

Natsu pocketed his hands, the smile never leaving his face. It's been a while since he talked to Lisanna normally. And he how long has he been smiling now? His emotions started surfacing a lot since Lucy entered his life. He needed to thank her or something. Speaking of which, they had already left her inside the house.

Natsu walked over to her assigned room, and slowly opened the door a little, just to peek inside. She was sitting on her bed, staring out of the window. Natsu was careful, and afraid of her acting out again. He sat down next to her, watching the girl sit still and pretend as if he never really entered the room. She was mad? Probably.

"Hey" he tried talking, only to be ignored once more, as the girl didn't even look at him.

"Did you guys make up?" She suddenly asked, earning his attention, and fast nods.

"We did. Thanks. I didn't want to hold a grudge against people in the first place."

"Although I hardly think she'd ever forgive you for what you did to her."

"Wait? Are you taking her side?" Natsu asked with disbelief.

"I'm not taking any sides, particularly because I'm the cause of the fight. Lisanna-sama and you could have easily lived a happy life if I wasn't in the picture. Clearly she'd been more happy. But still you insisted on bringing me back for unknown reasons, and now that I'm here, you still fight with her."

"I never even liked her! I'm sure she explained that it was her idea to get married in the first place!"

"She did. But still, what you did wasn't nice. You exposed her secret boyfriend to your father. She must've cried. You know, she could have easily said something about you hanging around me too much if she wanted to."

Natsu wanted to say something in return, but his mind was blank. She was totally right. If he said something like that about her, she could say something about him too, but she never did.

"That's because she only cares about her parents' opinions in this world. She does everything for them. She's not such a bad person. I know her since forever. She cares, but only about her parents…"

"Well that's not enough."

"I know, but still…"

"Okay, I'll tell dad to keep the boyfriend thing to himself. We wouldn't want to make a huge fuss with her parents. It's enough for them that the marriage's been canceled. They don't need extra problems."

Once Natsu finished saying those words, he looked at himself, surprised by his own kindness. If he hadn't met her, he never would have said something like this. He would've called the parents to tell them himself! But no, she really did a number on him, huh? That Lucy…

"You can really change people for good." He admitted, smiling towards her direction.

"You were always kind. It was deep down inside of you. I just pulled it out." His grin was more than enough of a 'thank you' she needed. Natsu was one of the most interesting people she'd ever met. He never gave up, always took the best care of her as he possibly could, and yet, she never really did something for him. Something that would make him happy.

Something he'd treasure forever.

"What do you say I read you that book?" She smiled, watching his eyes widen in shock.

"You are? I mean, you could? You would? You will?"

"Yeah," she laughed at his inner child, as he ran out of the room to get the book. It was the book about Fairy Tail or something.

He was back in an instant, sat down next to her, and carefully examined the book for the first time. The brown, old covers with golden writing. The old, dusty pages with beautiful letters. And, the pictures! Oh my goodness the pictures were amazing! It had a picture of mages, a guild hall, some big city, a huge Sakura Tree on a boat? He never really looked in it. He didn't even know how he had the book.

And then he remembered.

Lisanna had asked for a book, and Lucy brought this one to her.

"Hey?" Natsu nudged her side with his elbow, "Where did you find this book?"

"Oh, I've had it since I was a kid."

"Where did you buy it?"

"Well, I didn't actually buy it. I was walking around town with momma, and this woman came up to us. She gave me the book out of nowhere, and told me that I should keep it if I want, or throw it away. She didn't want it to go to waste, but she said something about some kid needing to grow up and forget this, so I took it, said thank you, and I've had it since then.

Natsu's lower lip started trembling. Could it be?

He just needed a bit more evidence to confirm.

Turning a few more pages, his breathing stopped when his hand landed on the image of a big red dragon, attacking a city. His hand was shaking, and he was mumbling something, but Lucy had no idea what was happening.

"m-mom…"

She could clearly make out that word from his mumbles, and tried to connect the dots.

Wait? So, his mother was the woman who gave Luyc the book? She probably bought it for Natsu, but when he got too attached to it, and started focusing on the dragons inside more than on his real life, she had to take it away. But the book meant something to her too, and she didn't want to let it rot away on some shelf, or throw it in a trash can, so she found someone to take care of it, and use it instead of him.

This book was precious to Lucy from the very beginning, and she knew it by heart, from cover to cover.

It had helped her get though her depression many times in the past, and now to find out that it used to be Natsu's… This must be—

"This must be destiny!" Natsu shouted, startling her. His eyes were teary, and his hands were still shaking a little. He had another memento of his deceased mother now. And Lucy was the one to bring it to him. So, their lives had been intertwined from the start. He and she… they both were connected by the red string of fate, and he was strong enough to pull her back to him, even after all those years. People were right. Those things don't tear easily.

They were destined to find each other, or at least, that's how he saw it.

Lucy was there, she was happy, and she was going to read this book to him.

He couldn't wish for anything more.

Lying down on her lap, and watching blush as he did so, he handed her the book, and closed her eyes, letting imagination take it from there.

She smiled contently, before flipping back to the start of the story.

"In a land, far, far away…"

(notes): Did you guys read the newest Fairy Tail chapter? SPOILER ALERT (if you haven't read it, skip the next paragraph)

Spoilers: Gray and Juvia hug? Well, it seemed kind of forced to me... I don't know. Like, mashima was just doing it because he had to. He didn't put in that much feeling into that. Also, fairy Tail disbanded? Natsu would've done anything to keep it going, instead of leave for a one-year trip to 'get stronger' and leave Lucy when she needs hm the most!? And with a fucking letter? her father left her with a letter. Not nice man. I don't like the newest chapter at all, and it completely ruined my experience. I still adore Fairy Tail, although the newest chapter broke me.

So, anyways, thanks for reading, this fanfic will end in a chapter or two.
