I'm not even going to make up excuses... I've just been focused on other things like my blog and looking for jobs, and I've blatantly ignored this fanfic. However, I have made a bucket list of things I want to do before my next birthday (May 2016) and finishing this fanfic is one of them. Though I'm hoping to have more regular updates because I graduated college (finally) and have a lot of time on my hands while I'm working part-time and looking for a full-time job. So, yeah, here we go!

Song: Love Me For Me

Artist: Ashley Tisdale

Love Me For Me

His shoulders slumped as he walked away from the fountain. He had just overheard Jessica, the girl he'd been dating, telling her friends that she was only dating him because of his money. She was the fourth girl to admit this, only this time it wasn't to his face.

Finding a secluded spot behind the basketball courts Logan slumped onto the ground and yelled out.

"Why does this always happen to me?"

He snatched a nearby flower and tore its petals off before throwing it down with a grunt.

"Well, looks like someone might need anger management classes again," said a voice behind him.

Logan closed his eyes. He just wanted to be alone. "Go away Lola."

"And walk away without finding out what's got you so upset?" the Latina replied sitting on the ground next to him. "I don't think so."

"I'm not upset."

"Tell that to the flower you just murdered."

Logan looked at the remains of the yellow flower beside him, and then looked back over to Lola. He shrugged his shoulders. "Okay, so I'm a little upset. But it's no big deal."

"Doesn't look that way to me," Lola said. "You looked pretty devastated when you walked by the courts." She picked up a flower between her and Logan, twirling it between her fingers. "What's going on?"

Knowing his persistent friend wouldn't be leaving him alone anytime soon, Logan sighed, giving in. "I overheard Jessica telling her friends that she's only dating me because I'm rich."

"Ooh."

Logan continued, "She's the fourth girl to say that, even if it wasn't to my face. And before that one girl said she was only dating me because she wanted me to get her a part in my dad's new movie, and before that another was using me to make her ex-boyfriend jealous! I mean, if all these past few girls are just using me for some reason, then what about the ones who never gave me another reason for dating me… what were they using me for?"

"Logan-"

"I mean, is there something wrong with me?" Logan was standing up now, pacing. "Zoey and Chase are together now. Michael has Lisa, and Quinn's been with Mark since the 8th grade! Heck, even James and that crazy Rebecca chick found new people this semester!"

"Logan, I don't think every girl you dated was using you."

Logan looked at his friend, shaking his head. "Why can't anyone just love me for who I am? Not because of my reputation, or looks, or money?"

Lola stood up, placing her hand on her distraught friend's shoulder. "Logan, I know for a fact there is someone out there who loves you for the person you are."

"Yeah right," he scoffed, pulling away. "Even I know I'm too much of a jerk for anyone to really love."

"That doesn't matter," Lola said. "Someone who really loves you is going to love you despite your flaws."

"Come on, who would really push aside my flaws to love me?"

"Me."

Logan was sure his eyes would drop out of their sockets. "What? Y-You…?" Lola only nodded. Taking two tentative steps forward, he leaned closer to her, not breaking eye contact.

And he kissed her.

And there we have it, I'm almost halfway through the alphabet. Now I'm off to look at the "M" songs in my iTunes library and hopefully have another one-shot in a few days... by next week the latest!
