Another day at the Casper High… Sun shines, blue sky… what a wonderful day. Especially that the teacher was somehow away from the classroom that time. The kids inside used this chance to do things on their free will in the class. Some of them talking with their friends, some reading, some drawing, or… even sleeping.
Violine was busy reading her novel, Darry was chatting with Mike and Anthony, Girl Gang of Win were on their own talking to each other, and there are other groups that talked with their own groups as well. Like the girls from drama club.
"What do you think of my idea?" One of the girls asked.
"I like it! But will he agree for this?" The other girl asked back.
"We never know until we tried."
"Alright. I will try asking him now." She said after that. "Wish me luck." She winked to her friends before turned to Darry and called him. "Hey, Darry."
The boy turned instantly once his name was called. "What is it?"
"Would you like to play a role in the drama we are going to play?" She asked, trying to stay calm as her friends behind her are on verge of fangirling. "We kind of need one person to do this role."
Darry thought about it, "I'll think about it… how many texts I have to remember? What will I play?" He doesn't really like to memorize that much of text.
"It's not much." The girl said again. "It's the prince." She explained. "You just have to appear at the end of the drama and kiss the girl, that's all."
After hearing he doesn't have to do much, Darry replied. "I guess it's okay."
"Yes!" The girl shouted happily. "Thank you!" She cheered with her friends and giggled together. "Now we just need the princess-" She continued.
Upon hearing that, every girl in the class stopped their activities and eyed to the drama girls. "You still need the princess you say?" One of them asked. And soon every girl in the class rushed to the drama girls to offer themselves as the princess role. Except for the Girl Gang of Win who obviously hated Darry, the art class kids, and Violine who was too busy reading her book.
"Me! Me! Me! Pick me! Pick me!"
"I am ready to have the princess role!"
"I am good in acting."
"I can give it a try!"
"Woah, woah, woah, easy there- I want to be the princess too!"
Felicia tch'ed and said to herself(and friends), "Are we the only ones who don't care about anything about that Barrell?"
Helen shrugged.
Serena pointed to the kids who were busy drawing in a circle. "Us, and the art class kids over there."
"Yeah. Us and them." Felicia said. "At least the art class kids are not love-blind students like those girls." Felicia is an art class as well, however she preferred to enjoy the class-free time talking to her own gang than drawing with them. "At least they know what is better for their free time rather than thinking about monkey love." Felicia said, kind of proud of the art class students.
And then one girl from the art kids poked Felicia on her shoulder and asked her. "Um, may I ask what is the huge fuss about, Fel?"
"Oh, it's just the drama class asking Barrell out to be the prince for the next drama, Paula. And then everyone is competing to get the princess role because it was still empty." Felicia answered.
Upon hearing that, Paula dropped her pencil on the table and got up from her seat. Followed by the other girls from the art class. "Let's go, guys!"
Seeing this, Felicia groaned and repeated, "Are we seriously the only ones who don't care about that stupid Barrell?"
The girls in the class are still fussing around and debating about who would be the princess. Darry returned to Mike and Anthony's side using intangibility. The three were watching the fuss. "Dude." Mike started. "Share some."
"I am not the one asking for it," he replied back.
The girls were so loud and still fighting about the role, and then suddenly a blue mist escaped from Darry's mouth. That only meant one thing. All of us know what would happen after that. And then, a huge pirate ship crashed the wall and broke it. On the ship, it was none other than…
"Hahaha!" The little ghost laughed. "There you are, Phantom's kid!" Youngblood, the small ghost who likes to play pirates. His shapeshifter-parrot stayed on his side. "I am going to get you for what happened on the last time!"
"Youngblood!" Darry exclaimed. Everyone on the class was staring at that ghost. All of them could see him after the lastest incident. Violine, Mike, Anthony, and Girl Gang of Win who were there on the last incident with the ghost still remembered him as well.
"What does a kid like you want to do this time?" Darry asked. "Just go and play!" He remembered the last incident. "…But don't take the kids from this town again." He added.
"Ah, nope. I am not going to do that." Youngblood replied. "You are the one who will play with me! Capt-uh, eh… catch!" Youngblood ordered the skeletons. They threw a ghostly net on Darry and caught him in there.
"Whoa? Wait, what?" Before he could say anything else, they took him on the ship.
"Darry!" Violine called, followed with the other students.
"Hahahaha! I caught you, Phantom boy!" Youngblood laughed at Darry who was inside his net.
"This is nothing funny in this, Phantom Phase!" Darry changed into his ghost form, he easily broke out the net and flew out from it. Only to be caught by a lasso after that.
"Hey!" he protested, however before he could break out from that one, another lasso- and the other lasso- and other lassos already tied him as well and he couldn't get out. "Wait! Oi!" The crew on that ship already caught him.
"I got you now!" Youngblood laughed. "Now, the revamp-"
"Revenge." Shapeshifter-parrot corrected.
"-Revenge can begin!"
"What's the big idea? Let me go! Hey! Let me go!" Darry shouted and struggled as the skeletons took him.
The kids panicked. "Darry!" Violine shouted as she watched the scene.
Darry Phantom's Adventures
Episode 12 : The Princess' Quest
"Darry!" Violine shouted. Everyone was looking at Darry who was struggling as the skeletons took him.
"Let me go! Let me go!" Darry struggled from the skeletons who tried to tie him up at a pole.
"You can't do that." Youngblood grinned. "I am the captain here."
"I can take that cap'n position from you." Darry shot back.
"No. Not this time. You are not even able to break out." Youngblood laughed. Darry tch'ed.
Everyone in the class was worried. Violine was about to click a button on her watch to change and let her jet out, but.
"Hold it!" A girl hold Violine's hand to prevent her from changing. "I got an idea." She said.
"Eh?" "Wait" "What?"
"What?" Violine questioned. What was in her mind?
"Let's turn this into a competition." She said. The other girls started to think about it. "Darry is kidnapped, and we are not having anyone for the princess role yet. So," She continued. "Anyone who can rescue him first can get the princess role!"
The other girls thought about it. "That's a nice idea!"
"What?" Darry raised a brow.
"Nobody call the adults and anti-ghost base!" One of them ordered. "It will ruin the competition!" The girls looked at the alarm, a boy was about to press it. Getting the glares from the girls, the boy shivered canceled his mind.
"Violine got herself a huntress suit! That's a cheat!" One of the girls suddenly said.
"Violine should be disqualified!"
"Violine can't join this match!"
"What?" Violine protested. "Listen, Darry is captured." She was more to worrying about her best friend over that princess role. "We are not making him keep tied up on that pole!-"
"It's okay, Violine. One of us will save him." A girl said. "Which is me!"
"No way! It's me!"
"Uhh…" Darry looked at the scene. "Do I get a saying in this?"
"I guess this just turned into something interesting." Shapeshifter said.
"Uh-huh." Youngblood agreed.
"Just for this once, you are not allowed to use your huntress suit." A girl told Violine. "It's a cheat. You will totally win this easily."
"My best friend is tied up up there!"
"Violine will dominate that princess role to herself."
"You are not getting in our way, either." A girl took Violine's watch off from her hand and threw her watch out of the window. "You will ruin it just like the adults."
"Hey!" Violine shouted back.
"The girls are very violent-" Mike managed to comment.
"That's pretty scary," Anthony agreed.
Violine groaned and walked away from the girls. She finally gave in. Only until the things gone too haywire, she would let them be, she thought. On the other side, Girl Gang of Win were talking to each other and laughing together.
"You are giving up to stop them?" Mike asked Violine who sat down beside him.
"I will let them play their game until it's the time for me to call the adults. Or… letting my help." Violine replied. At least Darry won't die just because he was tied up by some ghost for no important reason.
"So it's decided." A girl then spoke out. "Violine is forbidden from the competition, and nobody is supposed to call the adults or any kind of help. Or informing this incident. And the girl who managed to rescue Darry first, will become the princess on the drama!" After that, she started to squeal, followed with some other girls. The other girls cheered and readied themselves to go.
"What?" Darry questioned. "What is this joke? Just let me out of here already!"
"Since it looks like you want to play to save him," Youngblood said.
"Why it ended up like this," Darry groaned.
"I shall welcome you all aboat on my pirate ship!" He said out loud.
"Aboard." Darry and Shapeshifter corrected.
"Whatever." Youngblood replied, and then from middle of the pirate ship, it opened up and turned into a large pool with many obstacles such as, swords, swinging axes, fire circles, ghost sharks and such. Everyone gasped and stared in shock.
"What?"
"Let's play a game!" Youngblood stated out happily.
Some of the girls groaned the second they find out they should cross those things. But some were still fired up for it.
"This is for Darry! I will do it for him!" A girl said.
"I will do this!"
"Uhm…" Violine started to wonder if she really should take that watch now.
"Oi, Darry!" Mike shouted from behind the girls. "I hope you know how much I wished to be in your position there!"
"This is not fun at all, Mike." Darry grumbled. "I am going to break out-" he tried to struggle again. "Why is this turned into like this? Let, me, out, of, here- blast it." Darry sighed and decided to change back into his human form.
"Just lay back and enjoy the show, Phantom, Jr." Youngblood told him.
"I am so not going to enjoy this show. I am trapped over here. Just call the adults already!"
The Girl Gang of Win just laughed at the whole scene.
"Hahaha! Oh my, I can't take it anymore- Barrell is- there- tied up- and-" Felicia laughed. "-the girls- tried to- I can't-" She laughed even harder.
"It's just like some fairy tales except it's the girl who saves the boy," Serena said, laughing as well. Helen couldn't add a single comment and just laughed.
"This is so interesting- I don't think those girls could pass those things. They're way too girly for that." Felicia said again.
"Let's see about that," Serena replied.
"Poor Barrell is so humiliated in front of these people!" Felicia laughed again. "I couldn't believe this day happened!" Hearing that, Serena and Helen laughed again. "Maybe we can make that humiliation a bit more than that,… let's see about that." Felicia smiled as she got a plan.
The girls shouted in excitement as they marched forward to face the obstacles. Some of them shivered in place in fear. Some of them tried to jump on available stepping things that floated on the water. Of course, because they were too much and there were only few of those things, some of the girls fell into the water. And some others fell on the next obstacles when they tried to avoid the obstacles. They swam back to the starting line because the skeletons were guarding the sides.
Some of them complained about getting wet and dirty all over. Some of them gave up on doing it, but some of them kept insisting to do it.
Darry sighed. Youngblood laughed. Darry struggled again. "Just release me already!" Youngblood laughing even more seeing the helpless Phantom kid struggling like that. "This is really not funny, you know?"
"Hahaha. No. But it does for me." Youngblood wiped a tear from his eye.
Meanwhile the girls who just got mud and dirt all over their faces were walking away to the toilet. "I am going to tidy myself," she said.
"Come on! Is that all you've got?" The other asked as they tried another attempt to pass the obstacles.
"If we want, we actually can do better than that…" Felicia thought about it. Serena and Helen nodded. It's just very pitiful none of them saved the boy yet.
Felicia, Serena, and Helen whispered to each other about something, grinned and nodding at each other. The three were back to their places, watching after that. Looking at the clock and just grinned. Time sure has passed.
"We can give them more embarrassment before we act cool and save the day," She grinned. "Let's see how much they can handle it before we rock the day."
Violine watched the whole mob and sighed. She looked at the clock and decided to take her watch. "I am going to take my watch. Call me when something happens." She walked away from the class. "I won't change until I am needed." She sighed, knowing the rabid girls.
"Okay." Mike said. He and Anthony were back to watching the scene. "Dude, I am still jealous because no girls fight over me even once." He pouted.
Seeing Violine left, the Girl Gang of Win went back to their talk. "Hey, how about now?" They looked at each other before nodding. The three ran to prepare something up. Mike and Anthony watched them doing so.
"Okay… what do you think those losers are up to this time?" Mike asked, wondering. Anthony shrugged.
No one reached the end yet. And some are still not giving up. One of the girls managed to get farther than the others. She was not giving up that easily.
The Girl Gang of Win returned with a giant catapult created from tables and a big rubber. Felicia wore a colander as a helmet and brought a Fenton Fisher- she probably bought that from the stores for pranking purposes. The three gave each other quick high-fives and ready to do their plan. Felicia prepared to get herself being catapult, meanwhile Serena and Helen took the aim for her to reach there.
The aim was the pillar, where Darry was tied on. This is it, the chance to embarrass the boy in front of his fans… the fact that a mere 'loser' girl is saving him from a ghost. Serena and Helen released their grip on the rubber, and Felicia flung in fast speed, passing all of the obstacles as the others watched. The colander fell off in the process, but she landed exactly in front of the unable-to-do-anything-half-ghost-boy. Felicia used the Fenton Fisher to stop as she stabbed it on the pillar. Everyone was watching in awe. The lower part of pillar cracked a bit because of the force when she landed.
Darry sweated for a second, since the Fenton Fisher edge she used to stop could be hitting him if she didn't stab it on the right part. She was flung in high speed, after all! Felicia looked at that priceless scared face and grinned. "Heh, you should've looked at yourself in the mirror, Barrell."
Before Darry could remark with another witty comment, Felicia kicked and pushed the pillar so that it fell off from the ship. "Whoa!" Darry yelped as the pillar fell. Youngblood gasped. "Well, looks like we got accompany." He pointed his sword on Felicia.
"A company and accompany is a different thing." Shapeshifter remind him.
"I can get used to this." Felicia grinned, pointing the rod back.
Darry groaned and then said to Felicia. "I thought you don't want some stupid princess role."
Felicia said back, "I am not here for the princess role! I'm here to show you how almighty Felicia is without any powers. No one is able to save you and you are stuck on a dumb pillar. And is that how you say thank you? "
"Pfft. As if I gonna thank you. I knew it. I knew you are up to something. That's not funny. That's not funny at all. Of course I can break free by myself! I just let the girls doing their competition." Darry shot back. Obviously, that was a lie.
"Then why-" Before Felicia able to continue her words, Youngblood pointed his sword closer. "Are you done talking with the hostage? You can continue it… in your doom!" Felicia faced Youngblood with the Fenton Fisher on her hands. The skeletons walked towards her, things are getting serious.
"I am not a hostage! I am never been a hostage-! Woah!" Suddenly the boat tilt a bit, caused Darry(and the pillar) to roll for a bit.
Everyone else was watching as things got like that. They realized Darry hadn't been untied, so they tried to reach him and untie him.
Felicia looked at Serena and Helen, giving them a quick signal. The two understood what that meant and immediately work for it. Felicia turned to face Youngblood again. "Alright, alright… pardon me to make you wait. We can get the game on now."
Youngblood smiled. And then the two went into a swordfight, only that Felicia was using a rod.
The skeletons were drawing closer, but before they could do anything to help Youngblood battling Felicia, some random items were flung and hit the skeletons from above. It was Serena and Helen, catapulting items to the battlefield. As the skeletons fell, Felicia used this chance to get to get some space for herself away from Youngblood for a while.
Darry was still struggling to get out from the pillar, when some skeletons were drawing closer. Just in time, someone blasted the skeletons away. Darry looked up and see his childhood friend there. "Vio!"
Violine landed and untied him. "Those fangirls of yours are sure bothering a lot." She told him. And then she thought about it for a second before asking. "I guess the pillar knockover already count as a 'resque' right? So I can do this now?"
"I don't know. Whatever way… thanks." Darry got up and hold his own arms to cease the pain from the ropes. "I think it's time for always." He stood up and changed into his ghost form. "Phantom Phase!" Darry floated up, and looked at Violine again. "Come on, Vio!"
Vio stared for a brief moments, before smiled and get up to get the ghosts.
The girls just arrived on the main battlefield. Some groaned to the fact that Violine untied Darry before they do. "Aww… Violine is doing it again."
"Oh well… I guess that kid with fishing rod already counted as the winner." She refers to Felicia.
"I was really hoping I could be with him. Uuuuh…" While they chatted, they didn't realize some skeletons were getting closer.
"Hey, girls… watch out!" One of them realized and pointed at the skeletons. The girls screamed. One of them swung their bag around in reflect, accidently made three of the skeletons fell to the water they just crossed. The fallen skeletons had to deal with the ghostly sharks. The girls stared in surprise for the accidental successful fight they did.
They failed to pay attention to the other skeletons. Violine blasted the skeletons that came closer to them again. "Hey. Better not stay on that edge." She warned them. "It's dangerous."
The girls looked at Violine. "Oh, thanks-"
"Thanks for saving us"
"Violine, sorry for throwing your watch earlier-"
It doesn't really matter. Violine thought. She headed to the other parts.
Mike and Anthony dived in the fight the second they saw Violine broke in already. The resquing game is over, right? With a football on hand, the two threw and caught the ball as it bounced and knocked the skeletons.
Serena and Helen pretty much catapulted themselves the second they ran out of items to throw.
What left is the capture, like always. Darry headed to Youngblood, who was busy fighting Felicia. Youngblood grinned as he got Felicia cornered. And then suddenly, he was blasted from behind.
"Hey!" The ghost kid turned as he rubbed his pained part. "Phantom!"
"Hello." Darry replied. Youngblood flew off to Darry to fight with him on the air, leaving Felicia frustrated.
"Hey! That one was mine! I almost win! Barrell!" She protested- although she was obviously pretty much cornered a few seconds ago.
"You don't bring any swords with you right now huh?" Youngblood asked, a bit disappointed.
"…uh, at least I still can do this." Darry throw another small blast, this time on Youngblood's sword.
"Hey! That's-" Youngblood was about to protest, but then noticed Darry was already waving at him. Confused, he turned around and found Violine with the Fenton Thermos aimed at him. "Oh man. Not that soup can."
"Break is over, youngster." Darry told him.
"Nooo!" Youngblood screamed as he was captured inside the thermos. Violine capped the thermos. The two smiled and have a quick high five.
DPA DPA DPA DPA DPA
It was over, and everyone was cleaning up the class- hence Mrs. Dobson found the mess in the class and scolded everyone for it. There was a huge hole in the wall- it's okay, it will get fixed.
Some girls sighed to the fact that they didn't get the princess role. "Ah,… in the end I am not the princess."
"The role fell on Felicia, that geek."
"Um, I think it's okay… at least I can clean the room with Darry." Another girl tried to think positively, as she looked at Darry who was cleaning on the other side of the room with Violine.
Violine was quiet, she didn't say anything.
"Uh… so…" Darry asked. "What's keeping your mood?"
"Nothing." Violine said, as she continued to clean. "It's just… uh…" She stopped. "It's okay. There's nothing."
Darry looked at Violine again, there's sure something that bothered her.
And then, a girl came to Darry and hand over him a script. "Here you go, Prince. The script for the drama."
"Oh, thanks." Darry took it and take a quick look on the story. The girl walked away to hand the other roles to others. Violine stared on Darry and that script.
"Well… you know…" Violine then started. "I have to admit I am a bit jealous."
"Jealous?" Darry asked, lowering the script.
"Yeah… you know, they didn't allow me to get the princess role." She finally admitted. Violine lowered her head and blushed, hiding her face a bit.
"Oh… I see…" Darry looked at the script again and read some parts of the script, and then he groaned. "Ugh… it's not like I can do this with Failicia either!" But hey, she is the princess. "It would be better if it was someone else. Not Failicia! Anyone? I would prefer you to be the princess than she is!"
Violine instantly blushed, though she know that wasn't what Darry meant. He just don't want to kiss Felicia. "Uh- Uh… about that-"
Before they are saying anything else, the Girl Gang of Win passed in front of them. Felicia was talking to her best friends as she held the script of the drama. "Well, so yeah. I am pretty much doesn't want it. I told her I only wanted to make him feel inferior to me. Princess? No, thank you. I better give it off to someone else." Felicia then handed the drama script to Violine, much to her confusion. "There you go. You can have the princess role." Violine blinked.
Felicia turned to her friends again and talked, "So, yeah… you should've seen Barry and his stupid face the second I arrived on that pillar. He was-"
"Wait!" Violine stopped Felicia before she left with her friends. "What… does this mean?" Darry blinked watching the whole thing.
"Oh, I don't want the princess role so you can have it." Felicia told her. "I only want to make those girls and Barrell to look low in front of me. And I did. Ha!" She smiled happily.
"Hey!" Darry was about to argue, but apparently it was not the right time, and he was cut off by Violine asking.
"W-Wait… you mean… I?" Violine asked again.
"I already talked to the drama kids, I told them I'm going to give it to Violine. So, no big deal." Felicia said. "Anyway… who wanted to kiss that Barrell anyway." She sticked her tongue out.
"Good! I don't want to kiss you either!" Darry got disgusted at the thought of it.
"Ew," Felicia tried to get that image away, and she turned to Violine again. "You wanted it, right?" Felicia asked.
"Eh?"
"The role. They banned you to get it at first. You wanted it, right?" Felicia asked.
Violine blushed. "I-I-I don't-"
"Nah… you can give it to someone else if you don't want. What matters is, I am not kissing Barrell." Felicia said again. "But if you don't, enjoy it you two lovebirds!" Felicia walked away with her friends, leaving the two be.
"We are not lovebirds!" Darry protested, meanwhile Violine was staring at the script on her hands. Blushing again, but she made a small smile.
"Uh, Vio?" Darry looked at her.
"Um, yes? Sorry! Sorry!" Violine tried to hide her feelings. "I was just surprised, that's all-"
"I am very happy!" Darry grinned.
"You do?"
"I don't have to act with Failicia! That girl is very-"
"Hey! Stop playing around! Clean up this mess!" Mrs. Dobson who just entered the room told everyone to focus on cleaning because apparently the class was chatting about the drama again. They panicked and continue cleaning.
"S-Sorry, Mam!"
Darry and Violine were back to cleaning.
"So…" Violine asked.
"Let's do our best in the drama." Darry said. "Just like how always go with the ghosts." He raised the broom in happiness. Mrs. Dobson saw this and scolded him. "Mr. Fenton! Stop playing around and clean just like the others!"
Darry quickly let the broom down and continued cleaning. Violine stared at him and giggled a bit.
Yes, let's do the best for the drama.
The Princess' Quest - End
