I was still in shock. I never thought that, in all my life, now would be the time for this to happen. His lips were soft, yet he pressed them hard against mine, and I didn't hesitate to kiss back. I've realised as well that, for him, I would've done the exact same. I'd give my life for him, especially if it meant not having to be alone. I can only imagine what it must've felt like. I've always had someone there with me, to talk to me and keep me company. If I hadn't have had Nuke with me I would've went crazy. How Riot managed to stay sane for that long with no one will remain a mystery, but now he has us. He has friends who care, who'd do anything for him, and he knows that now.

We both pulled back when we heard the approaching footsteps in the hallway.

"Well, if you two are done being all romantic and shit, I think we need to get the fuck out of here," Nuke said. Just then the T.V on the wall behind us turned on. At first, the screen was just static, but then the BLI logo flashed on screen, and no sooner than that came on, did Korse's face appear.

He stared down with a huge grin on his face, then he began to speak. "How touching." His voice dripped with sarcasm, "The hero finds her little friend, and also finds love. Isn't that just wonderful," he chuckled, a dark tone swept over him, "Now, if you love-birds are finished, I'd appreciate it if you hurried yourselves up and surrendered. We here at Better Living Industries are growing tired of your childish games. If, however, you refuse to surrender, further actions will be necessarily taken, and I'm telling you now, you won't like what we're going to do..." The screen went black, but less than five seconds later it came back on. I didn't want to believe it, but I new this was happening right now somewhere in this building. The screen showed Lilac. She was in a dark room, the classic interrogation type place, with a light directly above her and two Draculoids standing behind her. She was beaten and bloody, bruised all over her face and arms. It didn't look like she was breathing.

We all stood silently staring, and then turned to one another. Nuke was the first to speak.

"They're watching us, they know where we are," she said.

"Shit," said Riot, then he scrambled over to the table where my Ray-gun was sitting in its holster. He then handed it to me and I attached it to my waist.

"We need to hurry up and get out of this sector," I said, "Quickly, open the door and peek out to see if anyone's there,"

Riot moved quickly to the door and began to turn the handle, he then pushed it open very quietly so that there was a tiny opening that he could see out of. Peeking through he saw Dracs marching in the far hallway, going right and then disappearing.

"If we head out now, we might be able to make it out of here before they get to this corridor," He suggested.

"Trust me, Korse's not that stupid. He'll have all the exits and staircases blocked off by Dracs. He knows we're here, and he's not going to let us leave." I paused for a moment, "If we can make it far enough away from this wave of Dracs coming through from the West wing, it seems, well then maybe we could kill the ones guarding the doors at the far end leading to the South wing. If we get through there, there's a good chance of us coming out the back of the building. I'm sure this place has a basement. There has to be a way out from down there, right?" Nuke and Riot nodded simultaneously, and Riot flashed a smile.

"Who said earlier that they had no great ideas," he mocked. I couldn't help but laugh a little. It was the best idea I had at the moment, and I dare say that under this much stress we could've came up with a better one.

We headed off down the corridor as quickly as possible, with Dracs searching for us not too far behind. A beyond imaginable risk, and the consequences I imagine would be nothing but endless pain and torture for our crimes. I could only imagine what Lilac was going through, whether or not she was still alive was a mystery, but I don't think I want to find out.

As we neared the end of the corridor we slowed down. Riot had heard noises coming from ahead and signalled a halt. We pressed our backs against the wall and listened to the noises in the distance.

"I want you to find them and bring them straight to me, do you understand?" said the male voice that spoke first, but none of us recognised who it was.

"Yes, sir," replied the Draculoid who was taking the orders.

"And don't damage them too much," he said sourly, "Korse wants that pleasure, and he wants it soon, so be quick about it," he snapped. His tone was sinister, but it changed dramatically as he began talking to the anonymous person beside him.

"Sorry about that," His voice more timid and a little lower.

"No need to apologize, Mr Black," said the woman's voice. Her tone was bitter and cold. "the sooner the pests are dealt with, the better,"

"Yes, you're right," his voice was high pitched with fear. It was obvious that he was very much afraid of this woman.

"And what about the other one?" asked the woman.

"The Killjoy in captivity? Well, she still won't talk, and is becoming less of a use as the hours pass. But I believe Korse wants her alive for more than a few reasons." His voice became lower until it was only an echo of whispers in the corridor. I listened as the loud sound of heels made off down the corridor in the direction we were heading, and then Riot peeked around the corner to see an empty corridor with a staircase at the end. No-one was guarding it.

"I guess this is our lucky day," He said after looking back, a huge grin plastered onto his face. We found Nuke, got away from a certain death situation, found out Lilac was still alive, and have a clear path off this damned floor right in front of us. We began to make our way silently towards the staircase ahead of us, but just then a ray was fired behind us, missing Nuke by an inch. I turned to see two Dracs holding up their Ray-guns, aiming directly at us.

"Drop your weapons," It hissed, but not one of us lowered our guns. We were at a Two-Three stand off right now, and the odds were in our favour, so why would we lower our only protection? It was silent for a moment, but Nuke seemed to have another idea in mind.

"Lower the guns, guys," she said to us as she lowered her own.

"What? Are you crazy?" exclaimed Riot, "No way,"

"Lower them, now," her voice had an authority that I couldn't help trusting.

"Do as she says, Riot," I agreed with her. I heard Riot hesitating behind me, but he eventually gave in and lowered the gun with me.

"Now, kick them away," Said the second Draculoid, watching our every move. They still had their guns aimed at us, so I wasn't going to take any chances. I kicked the gun toward them, then Nuke, and soon after Riot gave up and did as they had demanded. I looked over to Nuke and she just stared. I was growing frustrated now. I thought she had a plan?

"Put your hands up," The Dracs then proceeded to inch slowly towards us. Once it stopped before me, it put its Ray-gun into its holster, and then started to search me. I had nothing but my Ray-gun with me, so they weren't going to have much luck finding any hidden weapons.

The second Drac was searching Nuke beside me. They found a small pocket knife in her jacket, but besides that, there was nothing.

Finally, the Drac moved toward Riot. He stood expressionless as they took each step closer to him. I could tell he was pissed about having to kick his gun away, but I trusted Nuke. I'm starting to regret that decision now. I watched as The Drac began to search Riot for anything of potential harm. Just then Riot grabbed a Syringe from his pocked. The Drac wrestled with him to the ground, but Riot managed to jab him in the neck with the needle. The liquid drug was now running through his veins. Riot won that round.

Behind me, the other Drac who was keeping watch on Nuke and myself reached for its Ray-gun, but I wasn't letting him get us that easily. I ran for him and wrapped my arms around his neck. His hands then left the gun handle and darted for my arms as they tightened, closing over his throat, making it impossible to breathe.

Nuke jumped for her Ray-gun on the floor, but the other Drac that had been stabbed with the syringe hadn't fully been knocked out by the Ketamine, and had punched Riot off itself and stretched out for Nuke's foot. It caught hold of her by the ankle so that she couldn't reach the gun, then it pulled her back away. Riot, who was re-cooperating from the strong blow to the skull had now managed to make his way onto the Dracs back. He began punching at its mask as hard as he could, forcing the Drac to come in and out of consciousness, and letting go of Nuke's leg, the Drac was knocked out by a final last punch.

I watched as Nuke finally got hold of the gun. She turned and aimed straight for the Drac, but it threw itself to the ground, taking me with it. I struggled to get hold of it again as it threw punches. I tried to cling on to its neck again but I blacked out for a second as I was hit by its elbow in the head. I fell back for a moment, but, as dizzy as I was, I managed to get back to my knees and focus on the Drac as it pulled out its Ray-gun and aimed for me.

I heard a shot, but felt no pain.
