Chapter 12.
Sasuke took in a deep somewhat calming breath. " He's dieing? " Sasuke asked softly, so timidly that it almost wasn't heard.
" I think so, his breathing is shallower than a couple of minutes ago. I think he looks paller. We know how Itachi thought of this jutsu, he said it takes a large amount of chakra, he also said that Naruto had used a lot of it. But we don't know all the side effects. " Kakashi said, thinking out loud. The sorrow he felt was killing him, he needed answers and he needed them now.
Tears were starting to form in Sasuke's eyes and threatening to fall, he walked over to Naruto and sat on his knees in front of his blonde. He took Naruto's hand and held it. It was hard to hate him right now.
" Dobe! " Sasuke screamed in frustration, one moment he loved him with all his heart, the next he hated him for loving his brother and now he felt such a great amount of pain, sorrow.
" Sasuke, I'm going to get Tsunade. " Kakashi said.
Sasuke nodded. Kakashi used the handsigns for the transportation jutsu and poofed away. He had transported himself directly into the hokage's office.
" Brat, what did I tell you about … "
" What's wrong? " Tsunade asked, she saw tears in his eyes, never had she seen him cry, she felt an immense sorrow from him. It said a lot about someone who was an ex Anbu. When Kakashi didn't answer she stood up and walked over to him.
"Leave us!" Tsunade said, ordering her hidden Anbu to leave.
Tsunade enveloped the jonin in a hug. " Tell me, what's wrong? " She whispered in his ear.
"N-naruto … he, he's dieing. " Kakashi stuttered.
Tsunade let go of Kakashi, only to stare at him in shock. " How? What happened, did he fight or something? " She asked.
" I don't really know how … he used a jutsu, fainted and now he is getting worse by the minute. " Kakashi explained briefly.
" I have to go to him. Will you take me there? " Tsunade asked, she looked really calm, but it only meant there was a storm burning inside.
Kakashi nodded and transported them back to the Uchiha mansion. Sasuke turned around abruptly to see Kakashi and Tsunade. Quickly Tsunade walked over to Naruto, ushering Sasuke away. She then started to examine the blonde, but she didn't find anything wrong. She couldn't think of anything that might be wrong, so she simply started healing him. Sasuke and Kakashi stood behind her, hoping Tsunade could help him.
After 10 minutes had passed Tsunade gave up on healing her gaki.
" It's no use … I can't heal him." Tsunade said.
" Why not? " Sasuke asked, his anger was replaced by grief.
" Because he simply isn't sick. " Tsunade replied.
" What can we do now? " Kakashi asked.
" Nothing, we can only keep watch over him. " Tsunade answered
Hours passed, eventually Tsunade and Kakashi had gone home and Sasuke had kept watch over Naruto. When he was alone, he let his guard down and simply cried. This couldn't be happening!
It was early in the morning now and Sasuke was really tired, but he wouldn't go away, he wouldn't give up.
