It's All About The Music
Chapter Twelve– Costumes!
I jerked up out of bed. I looked over to my right and saw my alarm clock buzzing way. Dammit, I'm gonna have to get used to this again. I rolled out of bed and got dressed. Why does school have to be so early?
I was eating a piece of toast when I heard a knock on my door. I walked over and opened it to find Gajeel waiting out there.
"What do you want?" I said with my eye twitching.
"I thought we could walk together." Gajeel said looking away. I burst out laughing.
"Gajeel you never told me you were this funny." I said between fits of laughter.
"I wasn't joking." Gajeel said glaring at me.
"W-wait, what?" I said looking at him like he was some kind of monster.
"If you're going to be like this I'll just leave." He said turning around and starting to walk away. Jeez what's wrong with him today?
"If you want to walk with me that badly I suppose it's fine." I said crossing my arms over my chest. He turned around and smiled at me. "Come on in, I still need to finished my breakfast"
As I ate my breakfast he just stood there awkwardly. It was really hard not to choke on my toast and burst out laughing at how stupid he looked right now. I quickly finished and got up before I ended up hurting his feelings. I can't handle offended people in the morning.
"Come on let's get to school before we're late." I said exiting my apartment. Gajeel hurried along behind me.
"Hey shrimp, wait up." Gajeel said laughing.
"You know I've been wanting to ask you this, you don't come late to lessons anymore. Why?" I said scratching my chin.
"It's because I have a reason and besides Wendy forced me." He said huffing. I giggled and we then walked the rest of the way to school arguing.
We walked into class and everyone stared at us like we were aliens. I shrugged it off and sat down at my desk. I looked around and saw everybody staring at me and Gajeel. I looked round some more and saw Karen smiling. She noticed me looking at her and skipped over.
"I take it you haven't heard the news then?" She said giggling.
"What?" I said confused.
"I think people have finally heard that all the loser in the school have joined and made a band." She snickered. "I understand your name now because it will take a 'fairy tale' for your lame ass band to win." I heard some other people laugh at her poor joke and I rolled my eyes.
"At least my group isn't full of bimbo's" I muttered. She flicked me in the forehead and stormed off to her seat. There has been way too much drama for one day.
The final bell rang as Gajeel and I got out of our seats to leave. As we headed for the music room I could hear the sound of a drum kit.
I opened the door and saw Erza Scarlet, the demon woman, and Natsu sitting at two sets of drum kits smashing away. I think they were having some kind of battle. They both stopped at the same time.
"What the hell is going on?" I asked confused.
"Me and Erza were having a drum battle!" Natsu exclaimed grinning.
"Well it seems as though we're equal, I'll need to practise my skills a bit more if we are to beat fairy tail" Erza said stepping away from the drum kit. "Levy." she said while passing me.
"Erza." I responded crossing my arms. I shut the door behind her and turned to the people in the room. "So where are we gonna get these outfits?"
"Gray's parents can make them for us, since they're tailors and stuff!" Natsu said jumping up. Just as he finished the sentence Gray walked in. All our heads turned to him and he began to look around scarred.
"Why did you never tell us your parents were tailors?" Lucy said grinning at him and giggling.
"Ash brain!" He shouted and ran at him.
"It's funny 'cause he barely wears any to start off with!" Natsu said laughing while rolling on the floor. Gray had now taken off his shirt and was now trying to strangle Natsu with it.
"Gray calm down and stop trying to kill Natsu!" I said punching him in the head. He stopped and rubbed the spot where I punched him. Natsu jumped up and coughed.
"Natsu are you okay?" Lucy sounded worried. Probably because she likes him. I giggled to myself.
"Yeah I fine. I just need a drink." He said walking over to his bag and pulling a flask out and drinking from it. A hot drink when he has just got strangled, damn that boy is crazy.
"So Gray you're going to take us to your parents shop to get outfits okay?" I said smiling.
"Sure." He said sighing.
We all followed Gray to a shop and entered. The selves were filled with all sorts of clothes from wedding dresses to clown suits. A woman heard the door shut and quickly made her way to us. She had short purple hair and pale skin.
"Welcome…" She said with a slight Italian accent and then she spotted Gray and started jumping up and down. "Hello darling! How are you? I didn't think I would see you until we closed? Who are these people? The only one I know is Natsu-kun." She said in one breath.
"These are my friends and there also in the band I mentioned." He said cringing. "We're in need of some costumes." Gray looked down so his mom couldn't see his face.
"Okay sure, what do you need?" She said smiling.
"We never decided who was going to be who! One second miss." I said as politely as I could. We all gathered in a circle and began a group discussion.
"I think Natsu should be the Cheshire Cat, Gray you should be the white rabbit, Gajeel should be the Mad Hatter and Levy you should be Alice. I'll be the queen of hearts." Lucy said pointing to each of us as she went round. We all blinked at her surprised. "I've thought about this a lot." We broke the circle and smiled at Gray mom. "We're doing an Alice in wonderland theme."
"Wonderful! Now which one is going to be Alice?" She said wiggling her fingers at us. I raised my hand. She squealed and dragged me off to a room in the back.
I got changed into my sports kit and she started taking my measurements. It was really awkward.
"You're really small, you know. You could be a child model." She said grinning.
"But I'm 15" I said frowning.
"I know that but you'd be really good at it." She said winking at me.
"Mrs Fullbus…" I started.
"Ur… call me Ur." She said smiling.
"Ur, why is it taking so long?" I tried to make it not sound rude but I couldn't help it.
"Well I want to make sure I've got the right measurements; also there are a lot of measurements for an Alice costume." She explained.
After she got the measurements I got back changed into my school uniform and went to meet the others. Natsu was missing when I joined them.
"Where's Natsu?" I asked.
"My dad took him for measurements." Gray said scratching the back of his head. Lucy was beckoned by Ur and was then dragged away. "Gajeel was measured while you were gone."
"Wait I was that long!" I blurted out.
"Girls always take longer to measure than boys." Gray said while rolling his sleeves up.
We sat in silence and waited for the others to finish. Soon then Natsu returned and Gray was taken away.
"I'm so excited for Friday!" Natsu said.
"It's so soon! We need to get some practise in before Friday then." I said pushing a strand of blue hair back. That reminded me. "Natsu is your hair natural or dyed?" I think I asked it too bluntly but I need to know!
"It's natural. I know not quiet the manliest hair colour ever but it's cool." He grinned his trade mark grin and I ended up smiling too.
"That's awesome!" I shouted.
"Calm down, shrimp, before you make a scene." Gajeel said poking my arm.
"There's no one in here but us." I said poking him back. He raised an eyebrow and flicked my cheek. "Hey you can't do that, metal-brows" He squinted his eyes at me. Okay I might have just crossed the line but he doesn't really have any eyebrows just piercing where they should be. I heard Natsu stifle a laugh.
"You two are like a married couple." Natsu said laughing.
"No we're not!" We said in sync. I crossed my arms and turned my back to Gajeel.
The other two came out not long after and we sorted a date for us to pick the outfits up also as payment Gray has to do chores for a month. Works out for everyone, well except Gray but he say he's okay with it.

So i'm now back at school (boo) and me and my friend decided that we're going to write a horror movie and then film it with a couple of my friends so that should be fun. I'm also not gonna post as regularly but that should end near Halloween.
