Chapter Twelve.

Of Siblings and Adventures.

Luna stood next to Sebastian as he scolded the servants. "I know I've said this before but, you are to perform your jobs quietly as a shadow. That's what servants are." The demon gave the servants his evil eye and Luna giggled at the whole thing. She felt loved. This was normal too her. This is what she wanted from the start. Something like this. This is a start. "So, how many times do I have to spell quietly out to you before you people actually understood?"

The servants were ashamed and sad that they didn't do as well as they thought they did and Luna patted the demon's shoulder. "There, there, now. They did a splendid job in protecting Lady Elizabeth. That's all that matters right?" Luna said cheerfully. She gave the servants a small clap of joy and winked at them. "Don't listen to Sebastian. I am happy that you three did your best in protecting the Lady, Well done." The servants perked up and smiled at Luna's warm word. Finny had tears in his eyes.

"M-Milady!"

Luna grinned and waved away his tears of joy. "Just Luna please…at least I can appreciate you guys." Her finger trailed down Sebastian's back and he gave her a playful glare as she grabbed a trash bag and handed one to him as well. The demon sighed.

"In any case, you three clean up the things that are scattered about please. I'll do something about the repairs and the general affairs." He began picking up the debris around them as so did Luna though this distressed the others and Mey-Rin snatched the bag out of Luna's hand.

"Milady! Don't worry about us, we will handle everything from here, please go ahead and go freshen up! If the Young Master see's you doing such labor we shall surely get in trouble!" Mey-Rin warned in a panicked tone and the Luna smiled at the maid, gently pulling the bag out of her hands.

"Please do not worry about me, darling." She murmured with a soft smile and resumed her task of picking up the trash, making the other two panic. "You let me handle Ciel. I can override what he says too. Remember I'm his older sister, so he can't control you all by himself." She kneeled to pick up shards of glass and broken wood. "So my order is to let me help you three."

The servants looked at their mistress with awe. They loved her dearly.

"Tanaka will," Sebastian paused and looked at the scarf that he picked up. It was Beasts. He simply threw it in the trash and continued on. "Be fine with just the usual." Luna smiled at her gramps, shaking her head. The respect that Sebastian had for that man was unbelievable, well of course because he was older but still, he treated Tanaka with the upmost respect. The demon clapped his hands and pulled the bag out of Luna's hands and she sighed, letting him have it. "Well, everyone today will be really busy, so don't worry about anything else, just devote your time to cleaning."

Luna spent her time with Lizzy while avoiding Nina Hopkins since she had some kind of fetish for girls. She didn't need her designing her dresses even though her brother and Sebastian urged her to at least have the woman design her dress for Easter, but she refused. She'd get them elsewhere. She liked Nina but she was a little too enthusiastic, which wasn't a bad thing but it got annoying fairly quickly.

"You're room is so elegant Belle!" Lizzy took after Lau in calling her that name, but she was completely fine with it. They were in Luna's room, the woman showed the girl the various dresses and she was teaching the sweet girl about when it was appropriate to act like a lady and when it was time to put away those rules and play by her own.

"But Miss Nina, shouldn't dress like that!" The blonde haired girl complained and Luna giggled, putting her hair up in a bun since she was tired of wearing it down.

"Yes, but Miss Nina is a grown woman and she is allowed to dress however she pleases, I like her style anyways. Just like you, honey," Luna tipped Lizzy's head up and winked at her. "You too have to learn to put away those principles because when it all comes down to it, acting like a lady won't get you very far. You have to learn to attain something more powerful than just 'being a lady'. You see?"

Lizzy nodded with a smile and played with Luna's pearls. The woman saw that she had her eyes on them for a while and Luna pulled them off the necklace holder and put them on Lizzy.

"Ah yes, they fit you well indeed Milady."

Lizzy's green eyes widened and Luna smiled. "Belle…" she murmured, rubbing necklace.

"Keep them, honey, besides, you always have to look your best in front of your fiancée right?" Luna urged the girl and the latter grinned, hugging her.

"Oh thank you Belle! They're beautiful!" Nina called Lizzy and Luna smiled, kissing the girl's forehead.

"Run along honey. You need Nina to measure you correctly so she can give you the best design she can offer." Luna gently patted Lizzy's behind out of her room and she smiled at the girl, waving at her as she skipped off down the hall.

Luna cracked a small smile and closed her door, looking at her dress in the mirror. She frowned. She really needed a bath.

And a new changed of clothes.

The day was finally over and Luna was exhausted. She hadn't had a lick of sleep since she got home and her muscles were showing that. They were hurting.

She changed into her pajamas and went to see her brother before she went to sleep for the night. She knocked on Ciel's door and smiled as he was sitting in bed reading. She set the candle down on the nightstand and sat near the edge of the bed.

"I'm surprised that Sebastian isn't in, reading you a bedtime story." She joked and Ciel glared at her, closing his book shut.

"I don't need him for everything." He murmured, lying back in his pillows, crossing his arms. Luna let out a small laugh and she shook her head.

"Sure you don't little brother." She moved in the bed with him and she lay on her side, her arm propping her head up. "How are you feeling?" She asked him seriously, placing the back of her hand on his forehead. He was fine.

Ciel scoffed, moving out from under her touch. "I'm fine. Quit treating me like a child." He demanded.

"That's easier said than done, my dear. I would be able to do so if you weren't a child." She giggled and Ciel was silent, sulking it appeared. "You can't sleep?" She asked gently, stroking Ciel's hair and he closed his eyes.

"Are you alright after everything today?"

Ciel sighed and was quiet for a few minutes. "I'm fine. What about you?" He asked and Luna was quiet for a few seconds. She was still shaken from remembering the words that Baron Kelvin spoke about what her brother had to go through. It must have been worse than hell itself. Though she'd never let Ciel know that she was in distress.

"Peachy."

It was quiet for a long time. They both laid there and listened to the quiet.

"Tell me a story," Ciel broke the silence and muttered, Luna was taken aback.

"About what, my dear?" She said gently, staring at his now gentle face since he had his eyes closed.

"What you did when you left mother and father…" Luna's heart clenched and she held her breathe. She wasn't ready to talk about her past yet. It was too painful…until she met Lau and Ran Mao…they helped her…trained her…fed and clothed her until she was ready to leave on her own…but she wasn't ready to speak of that just yet.

"I'm not ready to talk about that yet, darling. Can you think of something else?"

Ciel opened his eyes to stare at his sister and he saw that she was uncomfortable with the subject so he quickly changed it, his eyes closing once again. "Sing to me." He said and Luna closed her eyes to think what song she wanted to sing.

"What would you like to hear?"

"Anything…something soft."

And he says that he's not a child. Luna thought with a chuckle and she remembered a song she heard a while back.

"I know you; I walked with you once upon a dream. I know you, that look in your eye is so familiar a gleam. And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem, but if I know you, I know what you'll do, You'll love me at once, they way you did once upon a dream."

Luna hummed the music gently as the boy fell asleep and once he was completely under, she kissed his forehead and tucked him in. Taking her candle and exiting her room, walking down the hall and into her room, closing the door. She was exhausted but she had an inclination to brush her hair out again before she slept. She pulled out her brush and ran it through her hair, looking outside of her window, the moon in the sky giving her natural light.

She smiled and continued to brush her hair until she felt a small draft of air, signaling that the door was opening. "Haven't you heard of knocking?" She said with a grin and turned around, Sebastian's hands pulled the brush out of Luna's hands and he pressed her against the window, kissing her deeply.

"I've waited over a week to do that." The demon muttered against her lips and Luna smiled, her cheeks flushing with red. Her arms wrapped around his neck and she stood on her toes to kiss the demon deeper. Sebastian gripped Luna's nightgown and walked her backwards towards her bed, she fell onto it once the back of her knees connected with the mattress.

The demon was on top of her, their breathing was heavy and Sebastian kissed up her neck, causing her to squirm underneath him. "I want to make you mine…forever." He cooed into her ear, his tongue tracing around it, causing her to gasp.

"Forever?" She repeated, her eyes closed.

"Yes." He agreed and Luna was quiet, a devilish smirk washing over her face, she opened her eyes, they glittered with something akin to sarcasm. "You're gonna have to work to make that happen." She sounded tough but the heavy blush on her cheeks said otherwise. She kissed the demon once more before crawling out from his grip and into her sheets and under the blanket.

Sebastian's eyes turned pink and his pupils tightened. She made this game of courting her much more fun. He slid into bed with her and she laid on his chest, her eyes closed as she yawned.

"I thought you told me that demon's only sleep as a luxury?"

"We do. But I'm not going to sleep I am just using my free time wisely to use my charm to woo a certain Phantomhive."

Luna curled tighter into the demon, grinning.

"You were wonderful today Milady. The Young Master and I never knew you wielded such power, however we may have to work on your control…" Sebastian complemented and Luna chuckled.

"Well that asshole shouldn't have provoked me the way he did. My mission is to protect that boy…" She yawned, closing her eyes to the feel of Sebastian playing with her hair.

"May I please hear the same song you sung to the Young Master?" Sebastian asked and Luna nodded, wrapping her arm around his torso.

"You're so nosy." She said, beginning to sing softly, putting herself to sleep with the help of Sebastian's warmth.

The next few days to a week the house was back to normal. Well as normal as the house could get. Bard always ended up blowing something up before the day was over with. Mey-Rin either polished the banisters with the wrong wax or she ended up breaking something and the same goes for Finny. This was also the time that she and Sebastian were getting closer and the servants were starting to notice. Whenever they were alone, the demon used this time to kiss her speechless.

Luna loved her family. They were perfect in her eyes. Nothing could every change that. This was home.

She sat in the large living room alone, she was reading the newspaper but now she just stared into space, thinking a deep frown on her face.

"Is something troubling you Milady?" Luna looked up to see Tanaka in his full form. He was smiling at her and she gave a small smirk.

"Gramps…" She murmured and the old man sat down next to her. "I…I really like Sebastian."

Tanaka chuckled and nodded, his hand on his chin. "Ah yes, you and Mister Sebastian, I could see that you two were becoming a bit close…are you having doubts about him, child?"

Lunabelle blushed. She wasn't having any doubts but the guy was a demon and she didn't feel comfortable with knowing that he was immortal and she wasn't. They were a compatible pair. She couldn't love the demon that was planning to take her brother's life. There was just no way she could do that. Her feelings however told her otherwise.

She loved that demon to death. She wanted him to be in her life and she in his…but just thinking of him killing Ciel afterwards…made her weary and sick to her stomach.

"No sir. I am just…nervous…"

"That's very normal for a young lady like you to feel. Listen to your heart. Your heart knows what it wants and before you know it…everything falls together the way that it's supposed to be." Tanaka took Luna's hands in his and he looked at her. Oh he was so wise. "What does your heart say?" He asked her.

Luna thought about it for a second. "I love Sebastian…I know it's early but I care about him so much. I want to be with him."

Tanaka's wise eyes crinkled with joy. "Then listen to it, my dear. Your heart never lies. Once you accept that fact, you will be fine. And whatever fears you have, everything will fall into place. I promise."

Luna's eyes were sparkling with enthusiasm now. She felt better about what he said. She felt that no matter what, there was going to be a good outcome of it all. She hugged the old man. "Thank you Grandpa Tanaka. You're the absolute best."

The old man chuckled heartily and winked at her, leaving her alone to think about her answer.

The sound of chopping vegetables and fruits sounded in the kitchen as Lunabelle helped out Sebastian with the snacks for today. She begged for the demon to let her pick what snack she and her brother were going to eat but he wouldn't let her.

"It's bad enough that you're in here with me cooking. You should be doing something else than this." Sebastian told her firmly and Luna waved it off, using a spoon to flick water in the butler's face. The servants were currently running in and out of the kitchen so there was no way that Sebastian could retaliate the way that he wanted to.

He watched Luna in her cute little fluffy and frilly purple day dress. She wore flats and her hair was put up into a bun. She looked adorable.

"You worry too much. I am just as privileged as you to be in here to cook. Just because Ciel doesn't cook doesn't mean that I can't." She explained, ignoring the fact that she threw water on the demon and he was plotting ways to get her back.

The kitchen was quiet for a moment and Sebastian placed his knife down gently, he grabbed Luna by her shoulders and pulled her into a rough kiss. Oh how he loved the way she smelled so good. She was perfect. He wanted her so badly but just like his Young Master, he had to wait.

Luna smirked into the kiss and placed her knife down, before she could deepen it, the demon cleared a spot on the table behind them quickly and he pressed her face down onto it making her gasp. Sebastian reached for the end of her dress and he slowly pulled it up, kissing at her neck. "Why must you tempt me when I have to work so hard to woo you?" Sebastian muttered and Luna groaned.

"We can't..." She moaned. Her eyes closed and she trembled under him when he pressed himself against her. "Sebastiannnnn~" She groaned again, warning him that the others would be back anytime soon and she didn't want to get caught like they were.

"But you're in such a compromising position, Milady…I just want a little taste…" Sebastian cooed, running his hands up her stockings, once he got to the garters, he unhooked them and curled his finger into them, sliding them down ever so slowly.

"Ah~ S-Sebastian, push my dress down…" Luna groaned, her head quickly fogging as she was so close to surrendering to the demon's touch.

"But I'm so close, my dear. Why should I stop here when I have to pull down your other stocking?"

Luna groaned louder, nearly giving into his touches until she was quickly dressed properly and she was on her feet. It took her a full minute to figure out that Sebastian wasn't touching her intimately anymore.

"Sebastian! There's a woman at the door asking for a Rainbow…she won't leave and she insists that this Rainbow person lives here." Finny quickly informed the demon and when Luna got her senses together and her breathing under control, she and Sebastian looked at each other.

Luna wondered who it could be. She followed Sebastian and Finny into the main living room where Tanaka greeted a woman with wild black hair. She wore a rather tattered day dress with crooked boots and her make-up resembled that of a lynx. Luna's eyes widened.

"Lynxy?" She said softly, moving towards the woman and her golden eyes widened as well, she expected Luna to be a maid or something as she had told her…not…dressed as if she were a noble…

"Rainbow?" Lynxy rushed towards the female Phantomhive and hugged her tightly. She pulled away from her and looked at the girl up and down. "Wow…you look…good. Great…" She said, then corrected. Luna eyed the woman and she stuttered. She wished she could say the same about her…

"What are you doing here?"

Lynxy scratched her wild hair. "You disappeared. I thought you were coming back to the tent that night of our performance but you never showed…then suddenly Joker and the others disappeared…with the exception of Snake but he was just as dumbfounded as I was. I looked for you for three days until I finally travelled far enough to where someone told me about where you stayed…they never told me you were…a noble…neither did you." She muttered, disappointed that Luna had lied to her.

Lunabelle looked at Sebastian and she waved for the others to leave so she could talk to Lynxy alone but the demon refused.

"Is that Black?" Lynxy asked and Luna quickly shooed the demon away.

"I'm fine Sebastian. She's my friend. She had nothing to do with what Joker and the others had planned. Please leave me be for a while." The demon bowed and quickly left the two women alone. Luna led the woman towards the couch and she sat down.

"Can I get you anything? Tea? A snack? Are you hungry?"

Lynxy shook her head. She just wanted answers and Luna sighed.

"You didn't come here for tea." She figured out and Lynxy nodded.

"Why did you lie to me?" She demanded somewhat gently.

Luna sighed and explained who she was and why she was there pretending to be a performer. She explained every detail and she apologized for hurting her. She really liked the older woman. She was funny and pretty wise for her age. She never forgot when she lent Luna her jacket that night. She is a good woman.

"I knew something was fishy about that group." Lynxy crossed her arms and shook her head, though she was still surprised that they were behind the kidnappings of the children. "That's terrible to know. They were such kind people…After they left…I didn't have a reason to stay at the Circus any longer." She explained and smiled at Luna, looking around the girl's home. "So you're the older sister of Ciel Phantomhive huh? How does it feel to be royalty?"

Luna frowned. "It's nice…but it's something that I don't need. I am only putting up with this life only because of my brother. He's the only thing that matters to me." She said seriously and Lynxy nodded.

"I see…" They were quiet for a moment. "So…tell me your real name, Miss Phantomhive. I had the people who knew you not tell me your name. I wanted to hear it from you myself."

"Lunabelle. Lunabelle Phantomhive."

Lynxy closed her eyes, a sad smile. "Heh, your name's even royal as well. Must be a nice life."

"Lynxy listen to—" She was interrupted by Sebastian. "Milady, the Young Master wishes to you and your friend."

Luna sighed. She stood and motioned for Lynxy to come as well. "Looks like you're going to meet my brother in the flesh."

"You had better explain yourself quickly." Ciel demanded and Luna was quiet for a moment while Lynxy quickly explain why she came. She even told her life before the circus. Her mother died while giving birth to her and she lived in an orphanage her whole life. When she got of age, she somehow was recruited into a brothel and when she heard of a circus in town she quickly escaped the whorehouse to live a better life than having sex for a living and letting that money get paid to someone else.

When she found out that Joker was recruiting members, she quickly entered the entrance exam and failed twice. She practiced her damn hardest to pass the exam the third time and she did. After Luna left and the others disappeared, she no longer had an interest in it, instead she dedicated her time to finding Lunabelle.

"And that's how I got here…" She said.

Luna felt so bad for her friend…she was broke and was homeless. She had no money and was barely getting by. She had to help her, whether Ciel liked it or not. The boy sighed and ordered Sebastian to fix her something to eat; he made Lynxy go with him.

It was just the siblings now and Luna knew exactly what the boy was thinking.

"No…you can't just feed her and throw her back out there without anything! You might as well not feed her at all!" Luna yelled, standing right in front of Ciel's desk, her hands on her hips.

"It's the best I can do. She can do nothing for me. I can feed her and send her on her way." The Earl said, rubbing his temples, he leaned back into his chair and crossed his legs.

"Ciel you can't! She's my friend! We have to help her. Please." Luna's voice softened. She didn't want to send Lynxy back out there with nothing. It'd be cruel. She couldn't… "Ciel please. I've never asked anything of you…please…just do this one thing and I promise to never ask you for anything else again. Please…she's done nothing wrong."

Ciel's visible eye twitched and he fell for her begging, he sighed. It was ironic how she had the same status as he did and she have easily taken his answer and went behind his back to help that woman. Everything that was his, was hers. She didn't have to ask. But instead, she asked him to help and not take matters into her own hands. "Alright…but I expect you to follow through with that promise." He half joked and Luna hopped over the table to hug her brother.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much!"

"What are your ideas?" He asked.

"Well…I was thinking of first…building her a house to stay in?" She said slowly, smiling crookedly.

"Wha-? No. No we aren't building her a house." Ciel quickly rejected. "We can give her a little money and that's it.

Luna smacked her hands on her thighs and whined. "Ciel come on! Sebastian can do it in less than a day… it doesn't have to be big…just something that's big enough for her! We can give her money and supply her until she gets on her feet. Please Ciel, I promise I'll work hard and not cause you any trouble around the house…" Luna begged sincerely and Ciel growled. His sister was going to be the death of him before Sebastian could devour his soul.

"Fine. But I am having no part in it. Also, for this, I expect her to come up a job so she can work for me to repay my charitable act."

Luna crossed her arms. "Ciel…" She tapped her foot on the ground.

"Just…go and get Sebastian so we can get this going…"

Suddenly Lynxy burst through the room and gripped the boy tight in her arms. "Thank you Mister Phantomhive! Thank you so much! I am forever in debt to you and your sister! Thank you so much!"

Ciel tried to push the woman off her and he growled angrily. "Get off me woman! Before I change my mind!"

"Too late! Lunabelle can override your answer and still help me!" Lynxy taunted and Luna clapped happily.

"Sebastian!"

"Thank you for this…I am truly…" Luna stopped Lynxy from talking and she beamed.

"Don't worry about it. I'm just happy that you decided that you wanted to live fairly close to us. Also, Ciel didn't say anything, but being his secretary and volunteering to help us with our 'missions' are amazing. You do know what you're doing right?"

"Of course I do , honey. I sort out Ciel's paperwork and when you guys are targeting a person as the Queen's Watchdogs, I will provide further information on the fugitive to help you all out, pretty easy to me. I don't need to be paid however. This is the payment that I needed." The woman hugged Luna and they were like this for a while.

"Oh," Lunabelle just remembered. "I never got to know your real name…"

Lynxy frowned and paused for a moment. "Before my mother died, the lady at the orphanage claimed she had my name already down before I was born. My name is Millie Dames." She said in a sad, regretful tone.

"Why are you so sad about your name?" Luna asked, placing her hand on her friend's shoulder.

"The Millie Dames I know, is a whore at the Lucky Lad's brothel. Nothing else. She never mounted to nothing." She said and looked away and Luna understood perfectly.

"Well, how about I give you a new name. You're a new person now and you deserve a name that says something about you, now."

Lynxy looked at the girl in front of her, her expression shocked. "You mean it?"

"Of course I do. I can get you a fresh birth record starting tomorrow, my dear."

Lynxy smiled. "What name will you give me then?"

Lunabelle thought about it for a long time. Trying to figure out a name that fit the woman. "How does Sarah Dames sound? I really like your last name. You should make something out of it…"

Lynxy smiled. Sarah…it meant princess or noblewoman. That's what Luna thought of her… Wow.

"Welcome to my family, Sarah. Thank you for finding me. You're the best."

Sarah shook her head and pulled Luna in another tight hug." No, thank you for caring about me."

Did y'all really think I was gonna get rid of Lynxy like that?
