A/N: Yay an update :)

Snowsong - Because it was a good piece and Blossompaw thought that the leader should get it as he is superior. Sorry if I confused you :(

Flight - I am so glad it turned out okay :D

Now, on with the story!

I woke with a start. There was grey all around me and it was making it hard to breathe. I held my breath and turned to where the others nests had been and gasped, immediately regretting it. I coughed, a seemingly never ending cough. But it did end and then I realised what had happened. The others had abandoned me. I was alone again. Why me? Why? I screamed internally and then out loud as no one was around to hear me. Wait. I have wings. I stretched them out and they remained put. I turned around to look at my sides and mewed in shock. They weren't there. I was a normal, average cat.

Then I realised the irony of the situation. I had always wished for no wings and suddenly, the moment when I needed them, they decided to disappear on me. I sighed heavily before remembering that I had to escape from the grey. I pushed forwards into it. It was an entire side of grey, and I couldn't see much further than a tail's length away from my nose. It smelt disgusting, and I kept on having to breathe more in as it tickled my throat, making me sneeze. I continued to walk, trying to figure out what to do.

Suddenly, it began to rain. I winced as the fat droplets hit my nose and fur, making my pelt heavy and feeling like I was dragging it along. The grey began to clear and I looked around, wondering where I was. A strange pool of water had formed in front of me and I walked towards it in order to try and get rid of the taste from my tongue. I crouched down to lap from it when I opened my eyes and jumped back. What was that, Cherrypaw? I carefully crept up to it and peered in. I was right. There was no Cherrypaw staring back at me as there usually was. Instead, a bird was sitting near a pile of crumbly grey stuff. It looked different to the grey that had surrounded me earlier. I tentatively extended a paw to try and touch it when some form of fish lept out. I jumped back again, raising my fur. Something wasn't right.

My suspicions were confirmed when the puddle separated and then crashed together. I began to back away, keeping my eyes on the now still pool. This is not normal. This should not be happening. My tail bumped into something. I quickly turned around, hissing, but I stopped when I saw that it was a cat.

"I'm sorry," I whispered, bowing my head. This cat gave off an air of regality and I felt strangely compelled to trust it. "I didn't see you and the puddle was doing strange things and I didn't know what was happening and my wings have gone by themselves which is good but I needed them to escape the grey and I'm sorry," I mewed hurriedly, hardly pausing to breathe. The cat blinked at me. It's eyes were deep blue and it's pelt was grey with white paws. There was something strange about its pelt but I couldn't think what it was.

"It's quite alright, Cherrypaw," it mewed, speaking in a tone of voice which was comforting.

"Who are you? How do you know my name?"

"I am Silverheart." I've heard that before. Where was it? "I've been, let's say, watching over you." Oh that's right, Larkflower had talked about her. She was something to do with Crowstar.

"I haven't seen you around the camp," I responded truthfully.

Silverheart laughed. Why is that amusing? "You wouldn't see me, Cherrypaw. But I've been there."

I thought for a while. "What happened to you and Crowstar?" I looked down at my paws, feeling the air fill with tension. "It's just, Larkflower said that you were the one to be spontaneous. In the past. So what happened?"

"I got ill. The thing is Cherrypaw," she paused and sighed. "The thing is, I had kits. With Crowstar. Five kits, but three died. Of the two that survived, there was Blossomkit and Cherrykit." She sighed again, deeper and filled with pain. "That Cherrykit was you."

I stood still, staring at her. What? Wait what? She's my, oh what do you call it, Cherrypaw. A parent. That's right. She's your parent. You have parents? And one is her? And the other is Crowstar? CROWSTAR?

"I understand if you are shocked. Believe me, it was hard enough to tell you." Silverheart visibly drooped. Her shoulders relaxed and her tail stopped flicking. From what I could see, her eyes were closed.

"If you're my parent, then why do I come from the place?" I mewed, finally regaining my voice.

Her body started to shake. "They took you from me. I managed to keep Blossomkit but you got lost." I sat down and began to daydream. If Crowstar is my parent and Silverheart is my parent then that means that I actually belong in the clan. I am actually a clan cat! With wings of course, but I belong!

"Wait. Is Blossomkit Blossompaw?" I asked, finally making the connection. She nodded. I was almost bowled over with a rush of feelings. I managed to recognise shock, but the others came too fast for me to figure out. "But, why aren't you in CloudClan then? Why can't I see you there?"

She looked up and looked into my eyes. After a pause, she mewed, "I died." I ran backwards, into a tree. She smiled sympathetically as I regained my composure.

"How are you dead if I can see you and touch you and talk to you and listen to you? Lavenderpool told me dead cats are buried," I mewed frantically, still trying to figure out a means of polite escape.

"After a cat has died, they go to StarClan. They can communicate to others through dreams."

"Is this a dream? And you are definitely dead?" I mewed, the last question bouncing out of my mouth before I could stop it.

Silverheart nodded. "This is a dream Cherrypaw. And it is time you woke up."
