Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto or Naruto Shippuden.

Naruto knew exactly where to go. His feet pummeled the ground as he zigzagged through Konoha, searching for the hospital sign that he hoped was close-by. Other than the hospital being a big issue, Hinata was panting quite hard against Naruto's back, occasionally moaning from the outrageous pain the contractions forced on her. It was obvious that being pregnant was hard, but now, Naruto was more worried about the giving birth part.

Suddenly, Hinata's grip around Naruto's neck tightened. Naruto looked back just for a moment, worried about his wife.

"Are you okay, Hinata?" Naruto asked, genuinely concerned.

"Does it fucking look like I'm okay!?" Hinata burst, tightening the grip around Naruto's neck even more now. "I'm not fucking okay! Take me to the hospital!"

Naruto kept running despite the complete shock that filled his mind. Hinata not only yelled at Naruto, but she also cursed at him. It was definitely unexpected, but Naruto decided that it had to do with child-birth and left it that.

"Who knew child-birth could change a person so drastically?" Naruto thought, sweating a little from the anxiety of Hinata yelling at him again.

"The hospital! It's right in front of you, dumb-ass!" Hinata pointed out, angry and in pain.

Ignoring the profanity that came out of his wife's mouth, Naruto trudged on, determined to reach the hospital before his ears got too tainted. But then, soon realized that he had to be with her through the birthing process. Fear ran rampant in his heart and mind, but soon divulged once he remembered that Hinata would be on a comfortable bed, chock-full of pain medication. At least that would calm her down a little.

The couple entered the hospital in deep pants, transparently exhausted. Despite the exhaustion, Naruto spoke as clearly and loudly as possible, "My wife is in labor!"

Hinata was too busy doing breathing exercises to speak; not that that mattered: the moment Naruto said Hinata was in labor, the nurses scrambled to get her on a gurney and on a hospital bed.

"Your wife will be fine, don't worry! You can come with us if that's what you agreed to do." One of the nurses explained, noticing beforehand that Naruto seemed to shaking in fear when he came in with Hinata.

"Of course! I'll be by her side no matter what!" Naruto exclaimed proudly. Even if his wife was scary right now, it didn't stop him from loving her, or wanting to protect her.

"Naruto!" Hinata yelped, showing pain in her face.

"Yes?" Naruto replied, holding her pale hand.

"You really won't- Ah!" Hinata stopped for a moment, letting pain set for a while before continuing to speak. "You won't leave my side?"

Hinata returned, if only for a moment. It was almost like she realized that she was cursing and saying horrible things, and decided to bear with the pain just to ask Naruto this one little question. Naruto lowered his eyes. He knew a long time ago that Hinata may or may not curse her mouth off just because of the unbearable pain, and he also knew not to take the cursing seriously. After all, Hinata wasn't like that at all. Naruto bowed his head a little in shame: he was actually thinking of not being by her side for a single second? Just because of a little cursing? What kind of husband was he?

Gripping Hinata's hand, Naruto looked at her sweaty face with softened eyes.

"Not in a million years."

A/N: I was thinking about how hilarious it would be if Hinata completely changed her character because of the pain of child-birth, and so, here I present to you all, pissed-off Hinata. I apologize for the long wait. I kind of lost my writer's motivation for a while, but it returned, so no worries. :)
