I had learned so much in my time here - about myself and what I had become. Volterra was alive with imagination, and I longed to add my own ideas into the melee. A new way of existing, side by side with humans instead over them, feeding on them. For all the difficulty in the beginning, resisting murder was easier every day. I studied medicine with top minds in Italy, operating on bleeding people. Simply not feeding was so much simpler than that.
