The Final Effort

"RAH!" Iris charged head on towards Kyra, who stood there laughing,

"You think you could defeat me!?" Kyra chuckled as Iris delivered blow after blow with no effect,

"DARKNESS BARRAGE!" Iris screamed and shot out the blast at point blank, however, it was to no effect as well,

"HAHAHAHA!"

"Grr.." Iris growled in anger, "Aaaaahhhhhh..." she started to power up, "Aaaaaahhhh! SHADOW..." she held her hands in front of her, charging dark energy in them, "SUPERNOVAAAAAAA!" she fired her ultimate move at point blank, the explosion of which sent her flying back and shook the firmaments of heaven.

"Woah!" Aden said as he was shaken by the blast,

"That must have really hurt her!" Sonja added, seeing the intensity of the attack,

However, when the blast cleared, Kyra stood without a single miniscule trace of damage.

"Is that your ultimate move?" Kyra chuckled, "Ha! You make me laugh!"

"Impossible.." Iris mumbled, "I put everything into that!"

"It wasn't enough my dear..." Kyra shook her head, "Now... behol-" she paused when she sensed a great power rise,

"Ultimate..." Aden yelled,

"Zeus..." Sonja added, and the electric magic in their hands intensified,

"CANNONNNNN!" the two screamed and the wicked lightning bolt of their ultimate attack at max power shot out,

"Hmph!" Kyra grunted and merely slapped the attack aside when it reached her,

"WHAT!?" the three fighters said in pure horror,

"I've given you enough time, mortals!" Kyra yelled, "Your time has come! The hour of your destruction is at hand! The day of your demise has arrived!" she charged up some evil energy, "However, if you bow down to me, then you will be spared... Repent! Turn over to Evil! Recognize that I am your god!" she finished with a great scream that shook all three layers, Heaven, the Mortal World, and Hell.

"Never!" Aden responded,

"We will never become evil!"

"We got it!" Raguna yelled from below,

"Here we go!" Camus said as the two started to come together,

"What's this!?" Kyra recognized the incoming threat and fired a blast at the two before they joined,

"DWAH!" Raguna yelled as he was struck, then disintegrated into nothing,

"DAMN!" the same fate happened to Camus.

"NOO!" Iris screamed,

"RAGUNA!" Aden yelled in horror,

"Why..." Sonja mumbled, "We lost all hope..."

"Yes, yes you have..." Kyra chuckled, "But there is still time... Repent. Save yourself... Bring yourself unto the evil..."

"It's not like there's much we can do..." Iris muttered, crying from the loss of her friends, "We're basically the only ones left alive..."

"Come to me, my children." Kyra giggled, "I will give you the love you need."

"I don't know any more..." Aden muttered as he held back tears, "If it is what we must do..."

The soulless meaty husks of the denizens of the planet walked about their business, but without their life essence, acted like robots, they were cold and payed no mind or emotion to each other.

The day dawned once more on these people, but no one cared, they merely apathetically told each other good morning and went about their doings.

However, this was not any ordinary day...

It was the day in which the Night of Holies happened...

"Kyra..." our heroes started the heartbraking confession of surrender,

"We owe our lives unto you." Aden said, trying to hold back tears,

"For you are great." Sonja added,

"Your mercy endures an eternity..." Iris wept,

"For you will show us pity if we are loyal to you." Aden continued,

"Yes yes..." Kyra laughed in pride, "Continue!"

"I never thought it would end like this..." Sonja cried, "I don't want it to..."

"I'll never say it!" Iris yelled, "I'll die before I surrender to you!" she charged and grabbed a hold of Kyra,

"What!?"

"I'll never be evil again!" Iris screamed at the top of her lungs and started to glow,

"NO!" Aden yelled,

"You fool!" Kyra screamed and shook her off, "RAH!" she blasted the vampirette into nothing.

"Why!?" Sonja cried even more as her friends were all but gone,

"I don't know..." Aden hugged her, "Sonja..." he mumbled, "Just know... whatever Kyra does to us after we confess... I will always love you..."

"I will always love you, too..." Sonja responded,

"Also, Sonja..." Aden mumbled, "Happy Night of Holies..."

Instantly, a great light shone.

A bright white shockwave spread across the mortal world, and left and right mortals were returning to their good roots,

The gift of Goodwill was returning to the Universe.

"What's this?" Kyra said as she sensed the power of good rise up, "No! Impossible!"

"Woah.." Sonja gasped as little white orbs circled around the two,

"Is this?" Aden looked at the spheres, "What?"

"The spirit of good shall rise tonight.." Sonja started to say, "To dispel the darkness and bring out the light."

"For just as the rainbow follows the rain.." Aden continued, "There is happiness after the pain."

"What are you doing?" Kyra gasped,

"Kyra!" Sonja yelled, "You're through!"

"We will defeat you!" Aden added and the two charged up a white beam,

"NO!" Kyra yelled, "Please! Have Mercy!"

"HAAAAHHHHHHH!" the two shot out the white beam at point blank, which did not kill the goddess of evil, but expelled all the souls she had in her.

"Alright!" a dwarf laughed,

"Happy Night of Holies everyone!" an elf girl yelled.

"What?" Frey said in confusion,

"Alright!" Lest laughed.

"Oh rats..." Ethelberd grumbled as he returned to his cell,

"What a pity..." the Masked Man growled, "This stinks.

"AH!" Kyra screamed as the beam died down, and there in all her shame stood in shambles,

"Well, well..." Aden mumbled, "Look at you..."

"You are the Supreme." Sonja grumbled, "You deserve far worse than just humiliation." she said, "You killed our friends..."

"That was joke!" Kyra chuckled weakly, "A tiff! A quip! Come on! I'm sorry..." she looked down, "Okay?" she opened her hands in a hug,

"Hmm..." Aden mumbled,

"Very well.." Aden shrugged his shoulders and reached out to embrace her,

"HA HA!" Kyra laughed as she started to try to steal Aden's soul,

"Of course..." Aden rolled his eyes, then made a gun shape with his hand, "PEW!" he yelled and fired a blast straight through the goddess' head, "It looks like the Night of Holies came early..." he muttered.
