Poketales-The Little Mermaid (Starring Nixie the Mermaid, and Sora the prince)
Chapter 12-Love of the Sea
Author Notes: Yay ready to continue? Good, cause we're about to begin. I don't own Pokemon or the fairytales use(in this case the little mermaid)
3rd P.O.V
Nixie felt so many emotion penetrate her. Comfort, worry, sad, all but stopping at horror. Her sisters lovely hair was cut, all of them revealing lack of sleep with bags under their eyes. It was obvious that they had been heartbroken and concerned of their younger siblings' long absence.
'What on earth are they doing here?' Dewgong was beside them, the princess couldn't help but narrow her orbs. 'They must know then...that I'm going to die.' Tears began to leak from her. She didn't want to say goodbye, she wanted to hold them, tell them how much she missed them.
But she could not..."Nix Nix we're not letting you die!" The group swam closer, crossing the waves. "We spoke to the sea witch and made a bargain with her. Dewgong go to her."
Heeding the command Dewgong rises and transforms midair. Her friend catching and, making sure she made it safely onto the ship. In her mouth, a dagger. It was sharp and you could feel the magic emanating from it. Her sisters explain. Each eager to speak.
"In exchange for our hair she gave us this dagger."
"It was made for you and you only, this will save you from death."
"You must plunge the knife into the prince's heart!"
"His blood will revert you back to your mermaid form."
"Sis we can be together again! But you have to hurry. The sun will rise soon. We'll be waiting!"
Pleading, praying. Not a single one of the princesses wish to see their sister die. Why must she suffer this fate? When Dewgong spoke of them of Nixies deal with Lena, immediately the group went risking their lives just to speak with the heartless woman. She at first rejected their begs for assistance.
Though the wicked Lena yielded and agreed after seeing how desperate the girls were. They cared not for the human man, he took her away and then denied her love. For all intense and purposes he could be thrown to the sea pokemon and be devoured by the tide.
'I...I don't want to die. but can I truly do this?' Shaky she accepts the blade, tiptoeing silently to Sora's bedchambers. No one was awake to question her. Not a single sound was made, but it was unbearable to Nixie.
Each step and her thoughts began to take a darker turn. Her jealousy and pain, she felt it rise into her chest. All this time she had stood by his side, and he only had her around because he couldn't have what he wanted. She hated Seeing Alice with him, she despised how he ignored her.
At last she arrived at his bedchamber. Her scorn only increased at the sight of them slumbering peacefully together. It make her stomach knot up. She would do this...
Higher and higher does the knife rise, until it's above her head. Glaring at Sora who had embraced another into his arms. 'One moment is all it'll take. Then I'll be reuniting to my family, returning to the life I had.' Her heart was the one making the decision, controlling her actions.
'Just stab him, then it'll be all over.' Shaky she lets gravity take it's course. Flowing it down with a thud...onto the ground. The sleeping couple were undisturbed by the sound. For it was covered by carpet.
On her knees she does what she can to calm and steady her breathing. Hr head shaking back and forth as she comes to her senses, blobs of salty tears plop. 'I-I can't do it!' No matter how hurt she felt, she still loved this man, even if he was already bound to another.
His happiness was hers, regardless if they were together or not. Never could she place harm upon him, she couldn't find it within herself. Re-gripping the blade, she once more makes it to her feet. Managing a sad smile she heads to the top of the ship.
The sky has become lighter, it was only a matter of minutes. The stainless dagger falls through her fingers, sinking to the depths of the sea. 'I'm sorry my sisters...though you went through so much for me, I can't accept it.' It glows, brightening the entire ocean. A screech soared as the ominous weapon vanished.
Hearing that sound Sora opened his eyes in surprise. Recoiling at the intensity of light. He leaped out of bed, ascending up the staircase. As if under a spell, all other were still heavy with dreams.
Banging the doors open, panting, finding Nixie on the rails of the ship's front, watching the endless sky. "What are you doing up there?" He goes towards her, concerned, about to witness her final moments alive.
Her hairpin, the one that she had wished to obtain for so long laid on the wooden boards of the boat. Gently shining. She takes a step and another. Sora's eyes widen, he knew what she was doing. "No wait stop!" Before even thinking of hesitating, her feet moved her forward, she jumped, falling into the clear blue waters below.
Farther and farther she fell. Her hands clasped together with her face peaceful. Sora screamed for her, searching for her in the sea. Only finding the waves overlap one another. Picking up her flower pin. His face full of grief. The sun at last rose up to the sky.
The mermaid princess was in the sea where she belonged, slowly her body began to fade, becoming sea foam as her soul drifted to the heavens. As everyone land and sea feasted their eyes on the floating essense of Nixie, flashbacks formed on the married prince.
A voice as light and beautiful as a bell, eyes of shimmering blue and hair the color of honey as he was lifted and dragged across the cold splashing surface of the great blue. "No. It couldn't be..." Leafeon sat by his masters side.
He too came from the commotion, now his red eyes glisten at the sight. He watches on, as his love, his glaceon, cries and flies. Seeking inside herself to take her previous body to follow her owner's soul.
"Noooo! Nixie please! Don't leave me!" She was determined to follow the princess, no matter where she goes. Though the sun shine, there was no warmth from it's lingering glow, but only a cold wind and song from the sea, about a girl who risked her life for love. And who with her love lived to the fullest.
Lena who made the bargain with the girl, even her wicked nature and cruel demeanor dropped as she saw the purest of heart suddenly vanish. She chuckled at the thought that popped into her head. "A mermaid, becoming human due to love, what a fairytale." Nixie was bound to both sky and sea, forever protecting those she cares for.
To this day the legend of the majestic princess mermaid is still told, much time has passed but forever she, the one who found love and held it to the bitter end still remains, gliding on the tides of the entire world. Reminding those of ill faith, what it truly means...to be human.

Author Notes: Whooooooo I did it! I've been wanting to finish this for forever! Well here you go guys~ Story 4 for my poketales is complete. Alright a reminder, for a while at least I'll be stopping these stories and take a break, I'll be focusing on some other stories on here with my partner Sen.
But please fell free to leave me pms and reviews on some ideas. Whether it's for a fairytale/pokecast, or just what you thought(helpful feedback would be appreciated.) I know someone has asked for snow white so I may work on that next but tell me what you think~ I need character ideas lol.
