-Whips this one out in your face-
#TW: VIOLENCE AND BLURD
You opened your eyes groggily to see a very irritated Kankri staring down at you with his hands on you. Shaking you awake. "Get up, I think you're late... Or I'm early... Either way, get the fuck up." Kankri gave you another shake.
You just groaned, moving a hand over your face and lazily rubbed it. "Why..." Eyes cracking open to stare up at Kankri. "We stayed up for like... All motherfuckin' day... Let a troll sleep." And your eyes slid shut once again.
Kankri was making some irritated noises above you. "Dude, you're going to get in trouble, just wake up."
You grumbled and moved a hand to the edge of the recuperacoon. "You try waking up after sleeping in one of these." You tried to pull yourself up but just ended up with your face pressed against the cool side of the recuperacoon. "I think it's leaking into my veins... So sleepy..."
"I would get in with you if I wasn't scared shitless of your teacher." Kankri sat down on the ground, fed up with you as he leaned back against the recuperacoon's side. "It looks fucking soporific. Get out."
You grinned a bit, managing to pull yourself put of the recuperacoon. "I'll hold you to that." You stretched your limbs a bit, man you felt pretty refreshed. Still tired, but refreshed. Yawning as you made your way into the bathroom.
"Using my own line against me. That's low dude." Kankri watched you with half a smile on his face, he seemed a bit tired himself as his eyes were almost closed.
You waved him off before closing the bathroom door behind yourself. You took your shower. You dried off from said shower. You got dressed after said shower. And then half assed your pretty facepaint. Heading on out of the bathroom and looked at the nearly asleep Kankri who was in the same spot. "Readddyyyy?"
Kankri flinched a bit, lifting his head up as he wiped what you assume was drool from his lip as he stood up. "Ready as I'll ever be."
You papped Kankri's head as you passed him, heading out of the room and going directly to the training room. You didn't feel late, felt early actually, eh oh well. You walked into the training room and took a look around. "Morkai?" No sign of him.
Kankri looked a bit confused, looking up at you. "Where do you think he is?"
You just shrugged and moved your hands to your pockets. "I dunno."
Kankri looked way to concerned, but he didn't say anything.
You sighed a bit as you wandered over to the back room where you found Morkai sleeping once. "No one's in here."
Kankri was scratching the back of his head as he watched you. "It's not like... Sunday or anything, right? You said it was sort of a religious thing..." He was clearly trying to just come up with a reason for his absense.
You shook your head as you headed on back over to him. "No, I'm pretty sure it's Friday today. Anyway, let's go look around." You led the way out of the room, heading on down the hall. You couldn't notice anything extremely weird, except for how quiet it was. That was odd.
Kankri followed close behind you, looking around idly. "Has this ever happened before?"
You shook your head, stopping to peek around a corner only to back up again. Fuck. Kankri didn't need to see that. You turned around and looked at your moirail. Scratching the back of hsi head. "Uh, I think the ship picked up the trolls that have been sentanced to culling in the middle of the day. It's, uh, quite a mess out there." You hoped that was a big enough hint to Kankri that basically the hall was painted in blood.
Kankri's ears lowered, telling you he knew exactly what you meant. You saw his throat work for words but only managed an "Oh..." He even stepped backwards a bit, looking very adgitated and uncomfrotable.
You rocked on your heels, about to give him a word of comfort but Morkai was walking up to you then. You looked over Kankri's head to the taller troll who was already walking past you, saying, "Good, you're almost there. Come on." And off he went around the corner and down the bloodied hallway.
You watched him before looking to Kankri again. "I still think you should come with, but I won't make you today." You turned around and followed after your teacher obediently.
The whole hallway was splattered in blood, you were sort of releaved that none of it was jade colored, you didn't want Kankri assuming anything. There was a lot of yellow and rust bloods though. A guy covered in teal blood dead on the ground, his skull crushed in.
Kankri was still walking beside you, you sort of wished he had decided to stay behind. This wasn't going to be something he'd want to see. When you came to the room, Morkai walked inside and grabbed up a clipboard off a table. Off in the room where five trolls. They had their hands tied as well as their feet. Blood dripping from most of them, except for one olive blood with tattered clothes.
"Take your pick." Morkai held his hands behind his back with the clipboard as he smiled at you.
You refused to even look at Kankri, scanning over the tied up trolls. There was no way out of this, and you hoped that Kankri understood that. You had to cull these trolls as apart of your training, and no wasn't an answer. "...I don't care. All the same to me."
Morkai pointed to a bronze blood and two painted trolls moved to untie him. As soon as the bronze blood was free, he ran off away from them, getting much wanted distance.
Morkai handed you your weapon of choice. A long, thin bladed sword with a crest over the handle that looked like your sign.
You just stared at the sword in your hand for a moment before looking to the bronze blood. Gathering yourself before walking towards him. Holding the sword casually at your side.
The bronze blood panicked and pressed his back agaisnt the wall. "...S-stay back! I didn't do anything! I was framed I swear!" Last ditch effort, you could tell from the fear in his eyes.
You lifted the sword and pressed the blade against the trolls throat. "You are here because you've already been proven guilty." In a quick movement you dragged the blade through his neck and he fell. Stepping away to avoid getting any blood on you as much as possible. You were a clean killer, you didn't want them to feel any pain.
Morkai was noting some things down on his clipboard before looking to Kankri. Grin on hsi face. "What about you then? Wanna pick one?"
You turned around to see Kankri still staring at the bronze blood, his eyes were glassy and he swallowed hard. "N-no sir..." He choked on his words a bit.
"PICK ONE." Morkai's grin turned into a glare in an instant. "I'm not about to let a mutant touch any of my weapons. Pick the next victim for Caprus."
Kankri slowly looked at Morkai before changing his mind and looking at the floor instead. "With all due respect... There's no chance in hell I can do that." You knew he was avoiding looking at you, you couldn't really blame him.
Morkai didn't like Kankri's answer though. He turned to the other painted trolls in the room with a growl. "Release all the prisoners." He waited while the four remaining trolls were untied before announcing. "The one who kills this troll." He raised a hand over Kankri's head. "Will have his life spared."
Your eyes went wide as a yellow blood was suddenly on top of you. You were in a state of shock and it took you a moment to realize that Caprus had already dispatched the yellow troll. He had protected you. You backed up away from Caprus, as well as the other trolls. You felt like the walls were closing in on you, a squeak beast in a meow beasts cave.
Caprus was splattered in yellow blood as he turned to face the other three trolls which luckily weren't trying to kill you. Caprus was looking at Morkai, looking more than shocked and offended at making you a target.
Morkai glanced up from his clipboard and simply said to Caprus. "Kill the remaining. And don't just simply stab them. That's boring to watch."
Caprus just nodded before walking to the closest prisoner. A rust blood who desperately tried to run as soon as he saw him coming close. To stop them Caprus stabbed the troll in the thigh. Once they fell he stabbed the sword through his ribcage and gave it a twist.
You slowly sank down to your knees, whimpering and yelling at Caprus. "Stop! Caprus!" You took in a shakey breath, then a few more deep ones. Collecting your thoughts, you didn't want Caprus to do this, you wanted him to stop. "J-just let the last one cull me... Let her live..."
Caprus didn't even listen to you though as he walked to the last two trolls. Both female, one of rust blood and one of olive blood. He went to the rust blood first, quickly slicing his blade across her chest before kicking her over and landing the killing blow to her back.
Caprus looked.. strangely calm. You were swaying a little, whispering how sorry you were. How sorry you were to not be able to save these trolls.
The last troll, the olive blood. Stood herself up straight despite her clothes being tattered and warn. She was no older than you or Caprus, freckles dusting her face and she closed her eyes. Accepting her fate.
You weren't watching, hands going over your face as you heard the blood splatter on the ground and her body fall. You were a trembling mess, fighting back tears. You heard Morkai dismiss Caprus before walking out of the room.
Slowly, you lifted your head up, though most of your face hiddin by your hood as you watched Caprus return his sword to the sheath it belonged in. He stared at you, but as soon as he took a step forward you jumped to your feet and ran out of the room.
You ran down the hallway and into your respiteblock, slamming the door behind yourself. You felt bad for leaving Caprus alone, but, you felt so sick. Sliding down your door until you were sitting on the ground, pulling your knees to your chest and your face in your arms.
An hour passed and you heard your husktop chime. Caprus was pestering you. Standing up you went over to it as you wiped your face and sat down. Opening it up and looking at the message Caprus had sent to you

DR: Are you okay?
CG: im sorry
DR: You have nothing to be sorry for.
CG: i left you there... i couldnt help them...
CG: im so sorry
DR: Don't be Kankri. You did the right thing by not doing anything. In the long run, this will be much better, I promise you. Those trolls won't die for no reason.
CG: what do you mean they wont die for nothing?
DR: We'll be the start of the Highblood's downfall.
CG: Caprus how the fuck do you expect to do that?
DR: When we get off this ship we can do it. There has to be other trolls who want it as well Kankri.
CG: there are but don't get to ahead of yourself. We still have the whole part of getting off to think about
DR: Too late. I'm way ahead of myself.
CG: Oh really? What do you plan to do when we get off?
DR: Find the Psiioniic of course.
CG: You havent even met him yet ,how do you know you wont hate him
DR: Because he's your friend.
CG: What would you do not for anyone but yourself
DR: If he's in with taking down the highbloods. Then I will deal with him no matter his attitude.
CG: Oh gog you sound exactly like him although his got a bit of a mouth on him
DR: How does this sound; I'll give him one sweep to get his act together.
CG: Do'nt make me laugh that's like saying i will give your teacher a sweep to like me
DR: I think he does like you
CG: shit one second
CG: I think I stepped into the wrong dimension on the way to my room
DR: Ah come on. He's just loyal to the hemospectrum. If you over look that I think he kind of more than tolerates you.
CG: Ok since when did you become the positive one
DR: When you cull five trolls you kind of have to if you want to move on with life.
CG: Not funny
DR: Wasn't trying to be.
CG: Can we just not talk about it?
DR: Hey now. I'm the one who actually had to do it. What if I want to talk about my life scarring experience?
CG: ...if you really need to I will listen...
DR: I still feel like I'm covered in blood. But I took a shower so that's impossible.
CG: You shouldn't let it get to you, its not like you had a choce
DR: on the brightside. That when we get off the ship and it comes down to culling someone. Least I'll be able to do it. only if necessary, of course.
CG: It wont be. When we get off this ship I promise you that you wont be put in a situation that anyone needs to die
DR: Don't make promises you can't keep.
CG: I didn't we have been on the run for sweeps and never had to cull anyone'
DR: That was the past. This is the future.
CG: you wont
DR: You can't keep that promise
CG: Well your positivity was short lived, we run not fight
DR: Running won't make the highbloods fall
CG: Nor will fighting, we'll use peaceful protest
DR: Peaceful protest. Right. okay.
CG: You dont sound to into that
DR: I'll deal with it.
CG: You dont have to accept it, tell me what abou tit you have a problem with
DR: Nothing.
CG: If your coming with us I don't want you to have a problem with anything
DR: No problems here dude
CG: Gog your difficult. Whatever. Are you doing okay?
DR: All kinds of fine brother, don't get yoMur worry on me
CG: Whats wrong with your quirk?

Yeah like you were going to believe that. You slammed your laptop shut before jumping out of your chair and running out of the room.
Yeah, Meulin (Disciple) was in this chapter. Just in case you were wondering.
