AN: Viola! Here is your new update! I am so pumped that I got this done. Thanks to all my readers and reviewers as well as my follwers and favoriters. You guys rock. Now a couple of new announcements.
First of all I am pleased to announce the soon to be arrival of a new character. She will become a new power ranger the eight and final ranger of the team until Lauren joins, and will also have a connection to Bay. Special thanks to sweetredrangerfor the idea and agreeing to work with me on this part. Our new ranger will make her appearance right after Antonio and before Bay's secret gets out.
This chapter also marks the beginning of a new plot twist and additional storyline that will run through to the Super Samurai arc. RPM Shadow thank you so much for your idea. I loved it! I am going to change things around to fit the plot I have so far but I hope you like what I come up with.
Finally in a later chapter I was thinking of having the rangers do a round of truth or dare. If anyone has any good truth questions or dares please let me know. My only requirement is that it is not too extreme remember they are doing it at the house.
Next reviews:
dguice: I am glad you love the story and your idea sounds awesome. I was going to have Kira make an appearance sometime and know your idea is a unique way to do it. Thank you.
Aka-Baka Hoshi: Bay's Dino Gem color is actually purple. Her pink eyes are as a result from her Animal Spirit, the fox from when she was the Pink Jungle Fury Fox ranger.
sweetredranger: I hope you like the song and how it's used.
And to those of you who loved Mike and Kevin's little bet, it will be going on for a few more chapters. I won't tell who shall win, I will leave you guessing.
As usually, Bay's outfit is from the SIU episode Psych It Up. Today's past rangers mentioned are the Dino Thunder teens, Cole from Wildforce, Tommy, Billy, Jason and TJ. Andros from In Space from a phone call. And Trent from Dino Thunder in a flashback from the Dino Thunder episode StrangeRelations. And lastly the song used is Won't Say I'm in Lovefrom the Disney movie Hercules. Special thanks to sweetredranger for the suggestion of the song.
Disclaimer: I own nothing except Bay and the plot.
It was a peaceful day in the city and Bay was enjoying it at campus with Nadine, Tamara and Ariel as they practiced a dance to a new song they had written together. All four wear wearing workout gear. Bay's consisted of a pink tank top, a slanted black cropped t-shirt over that, black shorts and white converse with her hair in a bun. After their fourth attempt they all sat down to catch a breather.
"Wow, that is so much fun!" Ariel squealed. Tamara nodded.
"It would be even better if we could get that chant right. It's hard to switch places when we bump into each other." She pointed out.
"We'll get it. We just need to focus." Nadine reassured her.
"Yeah. Maybe we just need something to take our mind off the fact that we are still swamped." Bay suggested. Nadine then smirked.
"Okay, how about we talk about… boys!" She said pointing right at Bay. Bay rolled her eyes.
"What about them? You three have boyfriends and I am single. Not much to say." Ariel scoffed while Tamara shook her head.
"Oh come on, don't think we didn't notice how you held your friends hand to get him onto the dance floor. Or how you blushed when he complimented you." Tamara lectured.
"Yeah, you definitely have some feelings for… What's his name again, the guy who likes to wear red?" Ariel asked blanking out.
"Jayden." Bay answered bluntly not liking the direction the conversation was taking.
"Jayden! You have feelings for Jayden." All three pointed out.
"Alright," Bay began holding up her hand, "what did you get, where did you get it from, and is it contagious?"
"Come on, Bo. Admit it you like him." Nadine insisted.
"Maybe even love him." Ariel teased again.
"Enough!" Bay yelled rising. "I am not in love. Love stinks; I learned that the hard way." She finished crossing her arms. Tamara gave a mischievous smile and played a song from her playlist that she used for her sister. Bay shook her head but sang along.
If there's a prizefor rotten judgment
I guess, I've already won that
No man is worth the aggravation
That's ancient history, been there, done that
Laughing her three friends began to dance to the music as they sang the muses part.
N, Ari, T: Who do you think you're kiddin'?
He's the earth and heaven to you
Try to keep it hidden
Honey, we can see right through you
Girl, you can't conceal it
We know how you feel and
Who you're thinking of
Bay spun around giggling but fully intent on delivering the message as she danced to her own rhythm.
No chance, no way
I won't say it, no, no
N, Ari, T: You swoon, you sigh
Why deny it? Uh, oh
It's too cliche
I won't say I'm in love
I thought my heart had learned its lesson
It feels so good when you startout
My head is screaming, get a grip, girl
Unless you're dying to cry your heart out, oh
N, Ari, T: You keep on denying
Who you are and how you're feeling
Baby, we're not buying
Hon, we saw you hit the ceiling
Face it like a grown up
When you gonna own up
That you got, got, got it bad
No chance, no way
I won't say it, no, no
N, Ari, T: Give up, give in
T: Check the grin you're in love
This scene won't play
I won't say I'm in love
N, Ari, T: You're doin' flips read our lips
You're in love
You're way off base
I won't say it
Get off my case
I won't say it
N, Ari, T: Girl, don't be proud
It's okay, you're in love
Ooh At least out loud
I won't say I'm in love
Bay sat down as she finished the last note and watched as her friends collapsed in a heap of maniacal laughter.
"Well, I'm pretty sure insanity is not contagious." She commented with a small smile.
"Oh, come on Bo!" Nadine yelled out.
"Yeah! Just admit it, like the song says." Ariel threw it.
"Don't be stubborn; admit it and we get off your back." Tamara compromised. Bay groaned.
"Alright, you win. I like, Jayden. Maybe not love… but I really like him." She admitted sullenly. The girls walked over and hugged her.
"Then why so down?" Ariel asked sympathetically.
"It's just that, I am not sure if he likes me, you know, as much." Bay admitted.
"Huh?" Nadine questioned.
"I mean, I've kissed him." At seeing their faces she quickly rephrased. "On the cheek! Twice. After I've punched him for being an idiot. And he seemed to like it; he grinned and held my hand the last time. But it could just be because we are best friends." Tamara shook her head.
"I saw the way he looked at you that night after you sang. And at the amusement park I remember he stayed with you when you said you had an upset stomach to go on the slingshot ride. Bay, he totally likes you just as much as you like him. Maybe even more. Remember he stood up to Brain for you. No one has ever done that. They are too afraid of either being blackballed by his frat or having their social life ruined by Ava. Besides I think you two would make an adorable couple." Bay smiled softly and returned the group hug.
"You guys rock." The four stood up and quickly practiced one more time. This they got it right.
(At the Shiba House)
After using the locker room in the gym Bay switched her clothes for her usual style. She had pulled on a long red tank top with a tiger painted in black on the front, a sparkly transparent golden brown cardigan with black stripes, black leggings, and black combat boots with silver studs on part of the bottom. She added a gold layered necklace, black hoop earrings, a black bangle on her left wrist, and silver and black rings. She applied reddish brown eye shadow, mascara, light red lipstick, painted her nails red and gold and pulled her hair over her right shoulder braiding a portion and letting the rest fall into a ponytail. Bay walked through the streets having decided to take the long route to enjoy the beautiful day. As she walked she thought about what her friends had said.
"Bay, he totally likes you just as much as you like him. Maybe even more."
'Can it actually be true? Can Jayden really have feelings for me?' Bay thought. She then remembered the way it felt when he held her hand. She had felt all warm and giddy. 'Then why wouldn't he say anything? I mean he charges into battle fearlessly, what's the harm in telling me he likes me?' She finished. She finally reached the house. She went in and deposited her bag before headed to the training yard. She found Jayden and Kevin dueling in full ranger gear with Ji and the others watching.
"Wow. Impressive." Bay commented walking up to stand next to Mike with her arms crossed.
"Yes. We know." Ji said exasperated. "Kevin is amazing." Bay looked over at him curiously.
"Okay… first of all if you're ticked at me please tell me what I did this time because I am stumped." She commented. "Secondly, I was talking about both of them. They have skills. No denying it." She finished. After a few more moves Kevin went down. He demorphed and walked over to the others.
"I need a break." He said tiredly walking over to bench. Jayden nodded.
"You're right you shouldn't overwork yourself." He then turned to the others. "Anyone else want to have a go?" He questioned waving his sword. Everyone except Bay stepped back. Bay looked behind her and shrugged.
"I'm game." She agreed stepping forward and pulling out her morpher from her cardigan pocket. She quickly morphed and drew her sword.
"Ladies first." Jayden told her.
"Wow," Bay commented quickly moving forward to strike his sword and spinning away to avoid retaliation, "and they say chivalry is dead." Jayden lunged at her but she easily dodged. "Wait a second… Are you going easy on me?!" She demanded swinging her sword.
"No." Jayden lied. Bay darted forward and locked their swords together.
"Yes you are." She hissed. "Aw, little Jayden can't fight a girl a year younger than him?" She teased in a baby voice. Inside his helmet Jayden's eyes narrowed and he pushed his sword more against Bay's throwing her off balance but she recovered keeping their swords locked. "Good. I don't want to fight you if you're not going to give it your all. I'm pretty sure I have proved that I can take whatever you can dish out. Don't hold back." Jayden suddenly used his strength to knock her sword high in the air.
"Sure you can take me?" He asked holding his sword to her. Bay smirked. She ducked down and swept his legs out from underneath him. She jumped in the air and caught her sword flipping to land on her feet. She spun around and attacked Jayden barely letting up in her attacks.
"Does. That. Answer. Your. Question?" She asked in between hits. They battled intensely for a while longer. Finally Jayden got Bay in the arm and kicked the back of her knees so she landed hard on her back.
"Give up?" Jayden asked placing his sword at her neck. Bay demorphed and held her hands in the air.
"I give." She conceded. Jayden quickly sheathed his sword and demorphed as she sat up rubbing her back. "Oh. That stings." She complained.
"Are you all right?" Jayden asked worried he had hurt her. She had been right, he was holding back. Hand to hand and training sticks was one thing. But fighting with swords was a whole new level, once Bay had figured it out and told him she wouldn't fight him otherwise his will had begun to crumble. It fell once she insisted he not hold back. But seeing her there on the ground made him fear he had taken things too far. Bay nodded.
"Great. I'm just going to have a bruise the size of Texas later." She joked sarcastically. Jayden held out his hand to pull her up. Bay looked at him for a moment before placing her hand in his. Jayden pulled her up and made sure she was steady.
"Texas? I was thinking Alaska." He joked trying to get a smile out of her. He was rewarded when Bay threw her head back and laughed.
"Wow, you actually do have a sense of humor." Jayden shook his head and smiled back down at her. The two turned to see their friends and saw that they all had looks of shock on their faces.
"What's wrong?" Jayden asked.
"Dude!" Mike yelled. "What was with the Mortal Kombat duel over there?" Mike demanded.
"I don't understand." Jayden responded. Bay shook her head.
"Obviously you have never played video games as a kid. Mortal Kombat is an old fighting game. Albeit it's a little bloodier and gorier than most but it's kind of fun." She explained. "And really Mike? We were just sparring."
"Guys, with all due respect, you two fought harder than you normally do when you're sparring with the rest of us."
"Yeah, I've never seen you attack without giving anyone a small break or mercy." Mia added.
"It was sort of different." Emily commented. Jayden and Bay shared a glance. Bay shrugged and motioned to the others.
"Okay, yes we were fighting harder than usual." Jayden began. "A few weeks ago when we faced that nighlock bully I wasn't exactly too happy. He got under my skin. Bay found me and offered to spar. After a few moments I realized she wasn't holding back and she told me she was frustrated as well. She said that since we can both hold our own against each other she didn't see a reason to hold back. I didn't either so we sparred and after both of us ended up not only letting go of our frustrations but gaining a new way to deal with them. It helps since we know the others limits." Bay nodded.
"When I was really little I had an experience that led to nightmares and getting easily frustrated. My dad and godfather noticed and took me out to the gym so I could spar. I knocked my Uncle Billy on the ground. After that whenever I felt like that I would spar with someone I trusted and wouldn't have to hold back in fear of hurting them. I trust Jayden since we have spared like that before and I know he won't hurt me severely intentionally." Ji looked at them both.
"That's strong trust." He observed. Bay nodded.
"I have to put my life in his hands when we are rangers. Why shouldn't I be able to do the same when we are not in uniform?" Jayden smiled and Bay looked up and punched his arm.
"Ow!" He complained.
"That was for holding back." She commented giving him a look.
"How many times are you going to punch me? I'm starting to lose feeling in my arm." He asked. Bay shook her head.
"When you stop acting like an idiot." She answered with a teasing smile. Jayden smirked back.
"Aren't you forgetting something?" He asked. Although he was probably a lot stronger Bay hit hard, but at least he knew that she would kiss him after. Bay crossed her arms.
"Now why would I do that?" She asked.
"Because it would be breaking tradition if you didn't. Plus I bet you secretly enjoy it." Bay felt a blush already making its way up her cheeks.
"Don't flatter yourself." She muttered before leaning up and kissing him again on the cheek.
"Hey Bay, did you use to play Mortal Kombat?" Mike asked.
"Yeah. My brother Ethan loves videogames so we used to play it a lot." Ji looked at her curiously.
"I thought you were an only child." Bay nodded.
"I am. Sort of. When I moved to Reefside I meet four teens that were my dad's students. Ethan, Kira, Conner and Trent. He took them under his wing and helped them in their senior year. They didn't mind me hanging around and eventually we made a pact. No matter where we went or who we became we would always be not only best friends but also siblings in everything but blood. Forever and always. We have stuck by that vow and now whenever we are asked we just say that we are siblings. We don't care what other people think and in fact my dad considers them like his kids when they visit or call and they consider him a secondary father."
"Wow, that's a strong bond." Emily commented. "And I can tell it's real because the way you talk about them is like how I talk about Serena." Bay nodded.
'And it helps if you share the bond of being Power Rangers together.' She thought before they all walked inside for lunch. It wasn't long before the Gap Sensor sounded and the rangers morphed and ran off towards the battle.
(Later in the Woods)
The rangers ran deep into the woods to see the nighlock walking away.
"Hold it right there, Nighlock." Jayden ordered. It turned to face them.
"Ahh." It acknowledged them.
"We're going to whip you into shape." Jayden informed.
'Couldn't help yourself with that pun now could ya?' Bay thought.
"Do you really want to tangle with me?" The nighlock questioned whipping his whip around. "I'm Metamot. The baddest of the bad from the Sanzu. I'm a bad, bad man!"
"All I hear is blah, blah, me, me, me!" Bay commented sarcastically.
"Let's see if you can back up all that talk." Mike challenged.
"Hmm, having backup is a good idea." He suddenly whipped the ground. "Here, Kitty, Kitty." Suddenly something erupted from the ground.
"Whoa!" The rangers exclaimed as a drill emerged.
"It looks like…" Kevin began shocked. The drill extended to reveal,
"The Tigerzord." Jayden finished. The zord growled and roared at them.
"Surprised?" Metamot asked. "When the earth cracked open and you sealed Master Xandred in the Netherworld, your Tigerzord fell in the crevice too." It taunted. "I saved it and made him my pet kitty. Or should I say, "Pet Tiggy?" The Tigerzord roared once again.
"Your pet?" Mike repeated. "No way!"
"Jayden! We got to get it back!" Kevin requested.
"And teach this poser a lesson. No one takes our zords!" Bay chimed in feeling a little bitter since this had happened before to her with Trent.
"My spell on him is too powerful. He's mine." Metamot's face began to glow blue.
"Everyone duck." Jayden ordered before pulling Emily and Mia down. Bay ducked covering her head.
"Mike, get down!" Kevin ordered as the nighlock unleashed his attack. Kevin pushed Mike out of the way just in time. But Kevin took the brunt of the attack. "Ughh!" Inside his helmet Kevin's eyes changed to blue while his uniform also glowed blue. "Ahh!" He fell down clutching his head.
"Kevin!" Mike got up and ran over to him. Suddenly Kevin growled and threw him off.
"Mike!" Mia ran over.
"What was that all about?" Mike demanded. Kevin rose growling at them.
"Kevin?" Emily asked hesitantly.
"He's in a trance." Jayden realized.
"I've tamed a new pet." Metamot taunted. "I call him Blue. Now sick 'em." He whipped the ground. Kevin drew his spin sword and with a cry attacked.
"Whoa!" Mike cried as he and Mia rolled out of the way. Kevin tried striking Mia but she blocked. "Kevin! What's wrong, buddy?" Mike asked grabbing him from behind. Kevin broke free and attacked Mike. "Kev! Snap out of it!" Kevin broke free again but Mia grabbed his sword arm.
"He's under mind control!" She yelled. Kevin broke free and slashed her front. Mia fell to the ground.
"Ya think?!" Bay yelled out sarcastically.
"Hey! Stop it!" Emily ordered. Kevin ran towards her and Jayden but the red ranger leapt over his attack and pushed off his back heading for Metamot.
"A rabble-rouser, eh?" Metamot asked. "One Red Ranger puppet coming up." He launched the same attack that had hit Kevin. Jayden drew a red symbol.
"Symbol Power!" He hit it and it halted the attack. Jayden jumped up and attempted to hit Metamot which he blocked with his shield. Jayden finally managed to get a good hit in.
"Hey! No one beats me!" Metamot protested. "Chew him up, Tigerzord." The zord breathed some smoke at Jayden who just barely rolled out of the way. Meanwhile the others were trying to fight Kevin who slashed Emily. She cried out and fell to the ground.
"Emily!" Mia cried running over with Mike.
"I can't fight Kevin. There's no way!" Kevin reached for his disk but Bay tackled him.
"Snap out of this Kevin! You're in there somewhere!" She begged. Kevin threw her off and pulled out his sword. Bay pulled out hers. The two fought. "Come on Kev, I don't want to fight another member of one of my teams." She whispered. Kevin finally got behind her and struck her sore back before kicking her towards her friends. "Ah!"
"Bay!" Emily cried.
"Cheap shot." She grumbled. Kevin pulled out his blue disk and slipped it on his sword.
"Huh!" He spun the disk. "Dragon Splash!" He slashed all four of them and they all fell to the ground demorphed. Kevin raised his sword again.
"No!" Came Jayden's voice. He soon landed in front of them. "We better blaze a trail out of here." He said grabbing his disk and placing it on his sword. He spun it and swung the fire covered weapon. The rangers then disappeared.
(Back at the House)
The five rangers walked in with Ji behind them. Bay walked with her shoulders slumped trying not to move her back.
"This isn't good." Ji commented. "It's going to be very hard to break that monster's spell on the Tigerzord and Kevin." Jayden looked at the injured rangers as they walked the other way.
"We need a plan." He realized walking the other way.
"Jayden, you must be prepared to make tough choices if need be."
"I know, Ji." At this the others turned around to look at him. He glanced over at his team. "But let's figure out a way to break the nighlock's hold on Kevin before it gets to that." The other four went to the infirmary. Bay grabbed some tools and began to help her friends.
"Do you need some help with your back?" Mia asked. Bay shook her head.
"I'll be fine. It's a minor wound. Nothing some painkillers won't fix." She responded.
"I can't believe Kevin would attack us." Emily said sullenly.
"Dude's lost it." Mike commented.
"Guys, I don't think he really knows what he's doing." Bay commented. "He's still in there. We'll find a way to pull him out."
(Later)
After a while the others heard the Gap Sensor blaring. The four ran to the meeting room.
"Mentor, where's Jayden?" Mike asked.
"He's already gone to battle the nighlock." Ji answered stiffly.
"Are you kidding me?" Mike asked. "What about Kevin?" Ji looked away but Mike just moved to face him again. "The nighlock will make him fight Jayden."
"Hopefully that won't happen, but it is our duty to protect people. He may have no choice."
"There's always a choice. This is bogus." Mike hurled back.
"Have faith in your leader, Mike." Ji simply said moving to face the samurai symbol.
"Mike, we have to help Jayden." Mia commented.
"And hope Kevin comes to his senses." Emily added in.
"Let's go." Bay ordered before they all ran off.
(At the Construction Site)
The other four ran as fast as they could and found Jayden facing the nighlock and Kevin. Bay ran next to Mike and Mia already knowing this wouldn't be good.
"Jayden! We're here to help." Mike told him as they came up behind him and got ready to morph.
"No, I can't put anyone else at risk." Jayden protested.
"But…" Mia tried.
"You want a show. I'll give you the show of your life, nighlock." Jayden told Metamot.
"Jayden!" Emily protested as he pulled out his Samuraizer.
"I wish I had some popcorn." The nighlock commented jumping up high.
"Blue! Attack!" He ordered. Kevin pulled out his sword.
"Samuraizer!" Jayden called. He opened it. "Go, go samurai!" He ordered. He drew his symbol and hit it morphing.
"He won't hurt Kevin." Emily spoke up as they watched on.
"I hope you're right." Mia responded. Jayden armed his sword and withdrew it.
"I can't believe this is happening." Mike commented.
"Well believe it. Because this might not end well." Bay replied. Jayden and Kevin circled each other. Suddenly they attacked.
"What are you thinking? That's Kevin!" Mike yelled. Bay looked away.
'Please Jayden, bring him out of it. I don't want him ending up like Trent.' She begged in her mind. She remembered after the White Dino Gem's hold had been broken Trent had still felt guilty about what he did to them. It made things even harder with the White Ranger clone.
"Wake up, Kev!" Emily begged.
"You're fighting Jayden! You can't do this!" Mia added. Bay turned her head slightly towards the battle and flashed back to a memory where Trent had faced his clone after confiding his guilt to her.
"Hey, Trent, are you okay?" Bay asked as they walked towards his home.
"Uh, yeah." He answered. Bay crossed her arms.
"Oh, really? Then you don't mind chaperoning my date?" She asked.
"What date?" Bay sighed.
"The one that doesn't exist." She deadpanned. "It's the white ranger clone is it?" She asked.
"How'd you know?" He asked her with a smile.
"You're a horrible liar." She told him. They stopped and sat down. "What's wrong?"
"Was I really like him?" He asked. Bay shook her head.
"No. You still had some humanity. That clone is pure evil. Don't ever compare yourself to him. We know you. And you broke free. If that clone wants to run around like a poser, let him. It'll just make things so much better when we defeat him." Trent smiled and gave her a hug.
"Thanks, Bay." Bay returned the hug and the two continued on their way. Suddenly they noticed something wrong at his house. They ran into the green house and Trent began calling for his father.
"What happened in here?" Bay asked looking at the carnage.
"I've got a good guess. Come on." Trent told her. Suddenly before they could move Trent went down from what looked to be a lightning attack.
"Trent!" Bay dropped down grabbing his shoulder.
"I'm okay." He managed as the attack stopped. Bay scoffed.
"Yeah, you're right as a daisy." She said sarcastically. "I'm taking you to the others." They walked out of the green house. Their morphers suddenly beeped.
"Trent, Bay, are you two okay?" Hayley asked.
"Yeah, I think so." Trent answered for them both. "Something weird's going on." He answered. "My Dino Gem. It's freaking out."
"Try attacking him." Bay said into her morpher.
"I think you both should come back here right away." Hayley told them.
"Maybe that's a good idea." Trent agreed.
"Yeah, we're on our way." Bay added. The two turned around only to find themselves facing the White Ranger Clone.
"Not so fast." He told them. "I'm tired of living in your shadow." He addressed Trent. "After this, there will be only one white ranger." Trent's morpher appeared.
"Hey, I got no problem with that." Trent replied. "White Ranger, Dino Power!" He called bringing it to his chest and pressing the activation button.
That day had been a turning point. The clone had summoned Tyrnnadrones to fight her while he dealt with Trent. But in the end Trent had come out victorious.
Mike's voice shocked Bay out of her flashback.
"Oh, man, this is so not cool. Stop!" He called. Metamot suddenly turned to them.
"Shut your pie hole!" He ordered aiming his shield at them. It shot a yellow beam at them and they went down from the attack. Bay groaned.
'In retrospect, probably not the best time to zone out.' She thought.
"No talking during the show!" Metamot yelled down. The four picked themselves up just as a man walked up to them pausing in between Mike and Bay he carried with him a long object wrapped up.
"It looks like we have a winner." He commented. For some reason his voice and appearance stirred a flash of recognition in Bay.
'That's weird it's almost as if I know him from somewhere.'
"Who are you?" Mike demanded.
"It doesn't matter who I am." He answered. "What matters is who's wining and it's not the man in blue."
"What? How can you tell?" Mia asked.
"Because he's fighting as if he's trying to win a training point rather than a real duel."
"What would you know about dueling?" Bay questioned. The man fixed his gaze upon her and for a second she thought she saw a hint of recognition in his eyes.
"Experience." He answered before turning back to the two dueling rangers. "It's a lot different than when you're fighting for survival." He explained as the two continued to go at it. "You fight with instinct. You have to watch your target like a hawk. It's easy to get tired in a long battle when there's no one to say stop. The red warrior has a good stance. It reduces arm fatigue. He'll stay strong. And when the blue goes for the point, the red will see his opening and he'll strike. He's looking for a decisive blow. That's the difference between these two." Suddenly Kevin did as predicted and went for a strike. Jayden blocked it and spun the disk on his sword before slashing Kevin. He went down and began crackling red as a red symbol appeared. Bay's mouth dropped open as the blue smoke came out of him and dissapeared.
"What have you done?" Metamot demanded. "Blue! My puppet!" A demorphed Kevin fell to the ground. The four ran towards him. Bay looked back once.
"Kevin!" Mia called worried. "Kevin!" They all knelt down to help him.
"Kevin… Kevin…" Emily called. "Wake up, Kevin."
"He probably needs some air guys." Mia suggested.
"What happened?" Kevin inquired.
"You kind of went all pyscho on us for a moment but we can worry about that later." Bay answered quickly.
"Right now we have some work to do." Mia threw in.
"Red Ranger, you had this planned all along!" Metamot yelled pointing at Jayden and whipping his weapon.
"When we fought last in the forest," Jayden began, "my resist symbol-power protected me from your mind control ray."
"Imagine that." Bay commented under her breath.
"We weren't sure if the resist disk's power would work on Kevin too, but I had to try. I had no other choice." Jayden then turned to the others. "Sorry I had to risk fighting you, but I had to get into a close enough position to use the disk." He apologized holding up the white disk.
"Fighting me?" Kevin questioned. He looked at them all.
"Because you're such a good fighter, it took me a lot longer to get close enough to use it. Luckily it worked." Jayden told him.
"If you're up to it, I think it's time we battle someone who isn't on our own team." Kevin stated.
"You're on." Jayden answered. Bay and the others pulled out their morphers.
"Samuraizers!" The called flicking them open. They held them up to their opposite shoulder, "Go, go samurai!" They drew their respective symbols in midair, "Ha!" They struck them to begin their morphing sequence.
Bay hit a button on her Samuraizer, brought her arms in then slashed them down with her palms facing behind her. Symbols surrounded her and formed her mask. Symbols then surrounded her forming her uniform minus the helmet. Her sword then flew at her and she caught it and slipped it into its holster. Her symbol then flew at her head and formed her helmet. She then opened the compartment on her belt and pulled out a disk. She slipped it onto the hilt of her sword and drew it pointing it in the air.
"Samurai Ranger ready." They all announced pulling out their swords.
"Tigerzord, crush them!" Metamot ordered. The zord drilled its way free.
"You guys take care of the nighlock." Jayden ordered turning to them as they ran up behind him. "I'll handle the Tigerzord."
"We're on it." Mike confirmed.
"Let's go!" Emily pushed. They all ran towards Metamot. They gave Kevin the honor of the first slash that knocked the monster down.
"Oh, Blue!" He cried. Something then caught Emily's attention.
"Look!" She called pointing. "The Tigerzord is back!"
"Jayden, you rock!" Mike called.
"What?" Metamot questioned rising. "Now they've turned Tiggy against me too!"
"Show's over, Nighlock!" Kevin said arming his sword.
"Not so fast!" Metamot fired from his shield again. But the five rangers flipped from the fire.
"Spin Sword! Five Element Strike!" They all took a turn slashing with Bay going right after Emily leaving a trail of snowflakes. Kevin finished the job.
"That's not fair. You teamed up on me." Metamot complained before exploding. They turned and posed. Metamot then went mega.
"Now you've got a big problem." He told them. "Bad Kitty!" He chastised the Tigerzord. Jayden attacked using the Tigerzord. The zord eventually cut open the earth sinking Metamot who began to complain.
"Come on, let's help Jayden." Emily suggested.
Bay clicked a button on her Samuraizer, "Ha!" she called as she threw her sword into the air. She then dropped to one knee putting her star shaped zord into her ground sending up a storm of white symbols. She then held her hand up and drew a symbol, "Snow Leopard Foldingzord." She then stood up, "Megamode Power." White symbols transformed her into megamode, she held one hand to her sky and the other on her hip. "Yay!" She then flew into the air grabbing her sword as she went. "Huh!" She then dropped down into her glowing zord. She then appeared in the cockpit. She then brought her sword to her and folded it up, jamming it into the holder for the control and put her disk in.
The zords rushed to help their leader. Jayden drew a red symbol.
"Zords Combine!" He ordered striking it.
The zords all flew into the air and folded up to form the new megazord. Bay's zord folded up some of the points of the star and became the front armor over the front of the lion zord. "Samurai Megazord! We are united!" The rangers proclaimed. The Tigerzord rested right in front of the megazord. Jayden spun the Tigerdisk.
"Samurai Artillery." He ordered. The Tigerzord flashed before splitting apart. The body with the drill pointed upwards attached to the back of the megazord and the head became the new helmet with the tail forming a ring attached. Jayden joined his team in the cockpit.
"Tiger Drill Megazord, armed for battle." The rangers announced. Metamot managed to get up.
"Ugh! You're nothing but a hairball!" He taunted. The megazord drew its sword and attacked but was blocked by Metamot's shield. "Your megazord is useless!" He continued getting a lucky shot in. "My shield is the real deal." When it made to strike upwards the tiger drills knocked it back. "Ragh!" He fired from his shield again. But the megazord advanced.
"I think we can break his shield with the tiger drill." Jayden told them all. "Get ready." The rangers all yanked their controllers free from their consoles. They spun them around to grab the trigger.
"Megablade, activate!" The ordered pulling the trigger. Outside the megazord bent forward to reveal the drill.
"Tiger Drill, charge!" Jayden ordered. The drills began glowing and spinning propelling the megazord forwards. It broke right through Metamot's shield and also hit him at the same time.
"Ugh!" He cried sparking. "I can' t be beat! I'm the baddest of the baaaaad!" He cried before exploding while the megazord posed.
"Samurai Rangers, victory is ours!" Jayden told his team.
(Back at the Shiba House)
Mike rolled the dice of the game she was playing along with the girls. Bay sat across from Emily with her legs crossed.
"Whoo, let's go." He cheered tapping his sword. His zord moved around the board before landing on a slide and slid down while folding up. "No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no." He protested.
"Too bad." Mia sympathized grabbing the dice. "My turn." She rolled. "Double sixes, yeah! Whoo!" She cheered catching the attention of Jayden and Kevin.
"And for the third time, Mia wins." Bay announced. They all began to set up for a new game.
"Hey," Mia called to get the boys attention. "We're starting a new game. Come on." The two got up and walked over.
"All right." Kevin agreed pulling out his zord. "But I'm blue." He tapped it before tossing it next to Mike's. They both unfolded and faced each other.
"Yeah, I think we all agree that you're the best one to control that." Mike stated smirking.
"Hand me the dice." Kevin ordered. Mike passed it over. "Okay." He rolled.
"Wait, take the card first." Emily ordered.
"Okay." Kevin said taking the card.
"Jayden, you too." Mia added in passing one to Jayden. The six began playing a rigorous game. Bay was about to take her turn to roll when her phone sounded. She pulled it out.
"Hello?" She asked as Emily passed her the dice.
"Hi, Bay." Came a voice.
"Oh, hey Uncle Andros, what's up?" She asked shaking the dice.
"I don't know how to tell you this… but-"
"Wait, did you forget your anniversary again?" Bay joked. "I keep telling you one day Aunt Ashley is going to launch you into deep space."
"It's not that, it's… Cole." Bay raised her eyebrows as she dropped the dice and made her zord move. It hit the ladder.
"What about him? I though he was on his yearly get together with nature."
"He's missing." Bay froze and dropped her phone her face going pale. Everyone's head snapped to hers.
"Bay…" Mike questioned. She shook her head.
"Uh… play without me." She finally got out. She swooped down and picked up her phone. She walked to lean against the wall facing the door. She didn't notice how the others watched her.
"What do you mean he's missing?!" She hissed silently.
"I mean he never checked in with Alyssa and she got worried so she contacted the Red team." The Red team was made up of the same red rangers who had finished off the machine empire. "We sent your dad, Jason and TJ to look for him. But when they got to the campsite it was destroyed. And no trace of Cole."
"Are we talking about the same Uncle Cole who kicked robot and org butt?" She asked her voice shaking.
"Yes."
"Why are you telling me this?"
"Because, the place where he was most likely attacked is not far from the city where you and your team are. And because it looks like a monster attack did this."
"Are you saying one of…?" Bay trailed off afraid to finish her sentence.
"That one of the monsters you're facing may be responsible."
"But why him?" She demanded.
"We don't know. Tommy, Jason and TJ are going to keep looking. They found a trail and want to follow it. But it's no less than twelve miles out of the city. If this thing has got a target for former rangers than you might be in danger." Bay took a shaky breathe to calm her nerves.
"What do you want me to do?" She asked.
"Keep your eyes and ears open. And if you find anything that concerns Cole contact us immediately." Bay felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to see Jayden and the others behind her. Jayden moved his hand down and gave hers a squeeze.
"Understood." Bay confirmed before hanging up.
"What was that about?" Kevin asked. Bay shook her head.
"Some family trouble. Something is up with one of my uncles and they wanted to give me a heads up." She partly lied. She then tried to fake a smile. "Come on. New game." She walked over and sat down with the others following. Jayden frowned. He could tell Bay was faking everything right now. He had heard the tremor in her voice and when he looked in her eyes a moment before he had seen something that had shook him. Bay's eyes were now two dark pools of helplessness and… fear.
Uh oh! Things are not going too well for our white ranger.
