The kitchen was clean, Buffy had showered, and Faith was now stepping out of the shower. She reached for her towel and began to dry off. Her shower had run longer than she had anticipated because she had gotten lost in her thought about having sex with Buffy. Faith chuckled to herself. They had come a long way from her wanting just a kiss that first time that they had gone out together. Faith looked at herself in the steamed covered mirror. She was nervous. Buffy was the first girl where she wanted the sex to be more than sex. She wanted it to be special and not just for herself but for Buffy. Faith let her head fall back and she blew out a breath. It would take a small miracle her for her not to fuck this up. She took a deep breath then brought her head down and looked at herself. She could do this. She was Faith Lehane, badass extraordinaire. Who was also afraid of the petite blonde that was in her room. She let out an aggravated breath. There was a slight knock on the door and Buffy called through it, "Faith?"
Faith cleared her throat and said, "Yeah B?"
"You okay?"
Faith wrapped the towel around herself then she went over to the bathroom door. She opened it and replied, "Yeah I'm okay."
Buffy regarded Faith. She appeared to be uneasy and Buffy sighed then told her, "You don't have to do this Faith."
Faith rolled her eyes and moved to go into the room. "I want to do this B. Do you not want to do it?"
A quiet chuckle came from Buffy. "I have been wanting to do this for the last week or so." She walked over to where Faith was standing and she took hold of her hands. "But if you are having second thoughts then I understand Faith."
Faith looked into Buffy eyes. The woman was being so patient and understanding but at the same time she felt so ridiculous. Faith shoved her uncertainty down and she took a deep breath then muttered, "Oh fuck this." She took hold of Buffy's face and pressed her lips against the woman's soft ones.
Buffy was taken by surprise for a split second but then as she held on tighter to Faith's sides as she got swept up in the sensations that came from kissing Faith. All of Faith's worries melted away and all she was able to think about was Buffy. The kiss deepened and Faith held the other woman close to her. Buffy buried her hands in Faith's damp hair and moaned into the kiss as Faith's bare skin pressed into her covered body. She guided Buffy back to the bed as they continued the fevered kiss and when the back of Buffy's knees hit the bed Faith pulled back and told her in a breathless whisper, "Sit down."
Buffy did as Faith told her and as soon as she was sitting on the edge of the bed Faith pulled off the tank top. Faith dropped the shirt on the floor as she took in the sight of Buffy sitting topless on her bed. She was breathtaking and Faith wanted to take her time as she explored every dip and curve of Buffy's body. Buffy started to feel nervous under Faith's scrutinising gaze but the wide, brown eyes that looked at her also held a reverence in them that turned her on. Buffy was about to say something but then Faith bent down and placed a soft kiss on her lips before she murmured against them, "You are so beautiful." Buffy smiled and Faith gave her one more kiss before she stood up straight. "Move back."
Buffy began to move back and as she slid back further onto the bed, Faith reached for the shorts that she was wearing then she pulled them off of her. Faith bit her bottom lip as she took in the view before her. She was going to faint because she wasn't breathing. She was afraid that if she drew in a breath it would ruin the perfection of seeing Buffy naked for the first time. Words couldn't describe what she felt and her brain had stopped functioning. All Faith could register was Buffy lying naked on her bed.
Buffy chuckled to herself. She had broken Faith. The woman was staring at her in awe and she found it cute and arousing and it also made her feel special. She rested back on her elbows and she tilted her head to the side as she asked, "You going to just look at me all night long?"
That brought Faith out of her reverie and she saw the smirk that was on Buffy's face. She grinned at her as she crawled onto the bed. When she was hovering over Buffy she brought her head down and kissed her collarbone then glided the tip of her nose across her shoulder and up her neck. She breathed in the smell of Buffy and let the woman's scent fuel her ever growing arousal. "You are so fucking stunning and I'm amazed that you would even let me touch you," Faith murmured as she ran her hand up the outside of Buffy's thigh.
Buffy's breath hitched as Faith's roaming hand went to the inside of her thigh and down it. She drew in a deep breath and as she exhaled through her nose she looked into Faith's dark eyes. A small smile formed on her face as she said, "You've shown me a side of yourself that tells me that you are really in this and I want to share this part of myself with you."
"Thank you," Faith breathed before pressing her lips to Buffy's. The kiss was slow and tender and Faith let her fingertips glide over Buffy's skin and she tried to commit every part of her to memory. Faith wanted to take her time and make sure that their first time together was something that they would never forget. Buffy gripped the towel that prevented her from touching Faith's body as she got swept up in the kiss and the soft caresses that sent tendrils of excitement and need throughout her body. Being with Faith on a simple level was different but even more than that it was a whole new experience for her. When she had been with her previous lovers it was more about the physical and less about the emotional but this, with Faith, was affecting her on every possible level. Faith broke the kiss and she began to make a trail of them across Buffy's jaw. Faith had slept with a number of women but Buffy was something else. Buffy filled her with hope and the potential to have something beyond a one night stand. She loved Buffy and she was going to make sure the woman knew how much she loved her but even then she would continue to show her no matter how spent the woman was.

There was an emotional silence that fell among them. Faith wanted more from Buffy. She didn't really dare to hope for more with Buffy because she didn't know if the woman would second guess her decision to get involved with her but she hadn't. In fact Buffy, at every turn, had proved how much she wanted to be with Faith and how much she loved her. Faith was still hesitant but she was going to stop questioning this thing with Buffy. She kissed the centre of Buffy's chest then told her, "You know you you're a pretty good girlfriend."
Buffy pushed her shoulder a little so that she could look into Faith's eyes. They held each other's gaze for a moment then she gave a quick kiss. "You're a good girlfriend too." Faith had said that they were girlfriends out loud and Buffy was ecstatic. She moved to where she was on top of Faith and she kissed her then as she planted feather like kisses along her jaw she as she whispered, "Now I'm going to explore every inch of my girlfriend's body."
Buffy's hand cupped her breast and as she pinched her nipple Faith drew in a sharp breath then told her, "Don't take too long Blondie. I've got some more plans for you." Her eyes slid close as she gave into the sensations that were going through her as Buffy made her body her playground. Faith smirked to herself.
