Chapter Eleven: New Information

It had been years since the Charmed Ones had called Rupert Giles. They rarely needed his help when it came to researching demons because the Book of Shadows had almost everything they needed to know. Now though, they knew the Watcher would know something about the demon that was holding Tara and Willow in their sleep.

"What can I do for you, Piper?"

"We need any information you have on a demon that can hold people in their slumber. Maybe a demon from other dimensions and how to kill it," Piper told him, frowning as she held the phone to her ear.

"Of course. Would you like me to call you with the information or bring it by to tell you in person?"

"I'd like for you to bring it by. I think you might be a good help to fix the problem. Maybe seeing you will calm Paige down," Piper said softly.

"Dear lord, what's wrong with Paige?"

"Tara is stuck in a slumber. Paige doesn't know how to react to her daughter being in danger," Piper explained.

"I'll find out what I can and let you know," Giles promised.

"Thank you, Rupert. I look forward to seeing you soon."

After hanging up the phone, Piper went to go find her sisters to let them know what was going on. She knew that if anyone knew how to help Tara, it'd be Giles.

Back in the dream dimension...

Wrapping her arms around herself, Tara stared at Willow's slumbering form, still praying that the witch would find a way to let her mother and aunts know how to free them from this nightmare.

"Willow, you need to wake up. I need to know how to get out of here," she whispered, staring at the redhead before her. "Please," Tara begged.

After a few moments, Willow's head started rolling from side to side, almost as if she was fighting against the slumber. Tara watched surprised and amazed as the green eyes slowly flickered open causing Tara's breath to catch at the beautiful emerald sea before her.

"Tara?" Willow whispered, her voice still heavy from sleep as she stared at the blond witch before her. "Where are we?" she asked, realizing that her voice was echoing and her whole body seemed weak.

"Some dream dimension. A demon brought you here," Tara explained, staring into the green eyes before her.

"Why are you here?"

"I don't know. I was hoping you could tell me. He brought you but somehow I was pulled through as well," Tara whispered softly, looking down at Willow.

"I don't understand," Willow said, looking at Tara in confusion.

"Neither do I."

"Do you know how to get out of here?" Willow asked.

Tara shook her head, frowning at Willow. "No. The demon said that he'll release us when you give him what he wants. Our magick doesn't work here and the only way to destroy him would be to bring him to our reality," Tara explained, remembering the demon's words.

"We have to try something. Maybe magick won't work, but something else has to. There has to be a way to destroy him in his own dimension."

"Willow, our bodies are still weak. I can barely keep myself from falling over as it is. We can't defeat him in this shape,"Tara admitted, frowning at the determined redhead.

Willow forced herself to sit up. "How long have we been here?"

"A week. At least it seems like it. I can't tell anymore."

Frowning, Willow looked around her for something that would help them. "Tara...do you see that shiny thing in the corner?" Willow asked, pointing at the object that reflected the light of the cave and waiting for Tara to nod in response. "We need to see what it is. It might be useful."

Tara nodded again and slowly tried to make her way to the object.

When a car pulled up in front of the Halliwell house, Piper, Phoebe, and Paige all stood together as they waited on Rupert Giles to walk inside. It had been a little over 24 hours since they had noticed Tara was stuck in her slumber, and Paige was becoming more and more afraid.

"Rupert, have you found anything?" Piper asked as soon as he stepped through the door.

"Yes I have, but I'm not sure how to tell you," the older man said, taking off his glasses and cleaning them as he waited for the sisters to sit down.

"What is it?" Paige wondered, afraid to know the answer, but needing to as well.

"The demon is known as Kraven. He is a dream demon from another dimension. He only appears in our reality through dreams and nightmares."

"How do we vanquish him?" Phoebe asked, looking at Giles with a look of determination.

"You can't. Magic is useless in his reality."

"Then we bring him here," Paige said, turning to look at her sisters.
