Hey guys! I am incredibly sorry for such a delayed post. I've been preparing for piano competitions lately and studying for classes. I'm going to start incoporating more couples in this fic and some characters I came up with (needed because there's 13 kingdoms in Ransei and some of the actual characters in pokemon don't fit the story). If they turn out to be actual characters then it seriously is a mere coincidence. Also, thank to PsychoHaru for such a kind review. I'll keep doing my best, so please continue reading! This is kind of a filler chapter so bear with m for now! I DON'T OWN ANYTHING!

I Hate You...or Not

Ch.11 The Kingdoms Unite

Princess Leaferia "Leaf" Green's P.O.V.

Father has just told my mother and I that we were going to have a meeting tomorrow with the rulers of out allied kingdoms. The heirs and heiresses were going to be arriving as well. Apparently, Dragnor has finally started to make a move against us. I hope nothing serious occurs. Everything is going by way to quickly.

Once I'm back in my room, I throw myself onto the bed and feel myself sink in the soft mattress. Just then, my phone rings. I check the caller ID that flashes 'May". I smile to myself and answer the call.

"Hello?"

"Leaf! Save me!" I pull the device away from my ear at the sudden screech.

"Woah, hold on. What's wrong May?"

"I'm getting engaged!" I hear my best friend sobbing dramatically on the other side.

"Well, I am too. Besides, didn't you already know you'd be engaged once you turned 16?"

"Yes, but that's not the problem! The problem is I-I'm en-engaged to that s-stupid grass head!" Another series of sobs follow.

"Wait, you mean Prince Andrew Hayden of Illusion."

"Exactly! Do you know how horrible that is?!"

"May, not to be apathetic or anything, but don't you think you're overreacting a little?"

"Leaf, you don't understand. It's Drew of all people in the whole dang world! I've hated him since the day I was born."

"First of all, that's not possible. Second, he can't be that bad?"

"You can say that easily because you haven't met him yet. That arrogant jerk teases me enery single chance he gets. It's bordering on assault Leaf!"

"That just means he likes you May."

"Well, he has a very funny way of showing it!"

"Calm down, I'm sure you two will get along fine when the time comes...eventually...Anyways, you're coming to Aurora tomorrow right?"

"Oh right! I can't wait to see you!" Talk about mood swings...

"Then, I can see how absolutely horrid your betrothed is." I roll my eyes.

"Don't worry Leaf! I'll protect you!"

"Not what I meant Maybelle. Come to think of it, we haven't seen the others in awhile huh?"

"Yeah! I excited just thinking about seeing our friends again!"

"I'm sure they're just as excited. Okay, I need to go May. See you soon."

"Mmkay then. I'll tell you more tomorrow! Bye!" I hear the line disconnect.

Princess Maybelle Petalburgh of Terrera, 16 years old, and my best friend since we were both in diapers. I've had more than enough time to get use to her childish antics. But, that's what makes her so likeable.

My cellphone pings, signaling a new message.

Princess, you might want to be careful. You never know what's going to come after you...

What the heck? I delete it immediately, not really concerned. It must be a prank. I'm getting those a lot lately. Some are threats and whatnot. A knock on the door startles me out of my thoughts.

"Leaf, honey, dinner is ready."

"Okay, I'll be down in a sec." I lazily roll off my bed and smooth out the sheets.

By the time I get down, a serving of lobster frittata is waiting for me. I take my seat and hungrily take a bite. I almost moan at the warm sensation. I haven't even realized how hungry I was.

"Leaf, I trust you'll take care of our guests tomorrow while we are having our meeting."

"Yes, of course father."

"Dear, don't be so serious. All of them are around Leaf's age!"

"Yes, my daughter know what I mean right?"

I let out a small giggle. "Definitely."

"I saw your little session with Garrett right before we left~"

"Mother! It's not what you think!" I blush.

"Oh, I didn't say anything now did I?"

"But you were thinking it!" I whine.

"Come on, dear. Even your father agrees you two look absolutely adorable together!"

When I glance at my father, he turns away and coughs discreetly. I roll my eyes for the umpteenth time that day and decide to keep quiet while my mother gushes about her teenage experiences. My father corrects her when appropriate and smiles.

The Next Morning

"Princess! Rise and shine! Today is going to be a busy one!" Elizabeth's cheery voice has me reluctantly obeying. I wince when the bright rays of the morning sun reach my bleary eyes.

"Isn't it a bit early to be so optimistic Elizabeth?"

"It's never too early to be cheerful Princess!"

"Ugh..." My legs feel sluggish as I start my daily routine.

I wear a white button-up shirt and a black and white plaid skirt that reaches just above my knee. I slip on a pair of simple black flats. I tie my hair up in a high ponytail with the ends slightly curled. I decorate my hairstyle with a black ribbon. I gloss my lips with a baby doll shade and apply just a little blush. I don't bother with eye makeup.

The smell of breakfast greets me and I can't help but grin stupidly. My parents are about to take their places when I walk into the dining room.

"Good morning, mother, father!"

"Good morning, honey. Hurry and sit down, the royals are arriving right after breakfast."

"Oh, so early?" I say between mouthfuls of french toast doused in homemade maple syrup.

"Yes, so we better eat quickly because we need to greet them outside."

After a half an hour more, the chief maid notifies us that the first royal family has arrives. We head out hastily and I see May's head pop out of the black limousine. Of course she's the first. Her father steps out in much more grace. She notices me too and rushes over as quick as she can in her skirt and heels. I catch her just in time when she trips over her own feet before her face meets the pavement.

"Seriously, May can you be any more clumsy?"

"Hey now! That just means I'm overjoyed to see you. You should be honored! Aren't you glad to see me?"

"Oh, I am believe me." I laugh at her childish behavior.

I greet the King of Terrera. "Hello, Mr. Petalburgh, it's been awhile."

"Yes it has. How are you Leaf?"

"I'm doing fine thank you. Where is Mrs. Petalburgh and Max?"

"They're at home. Max caught one of the viruses going around, so it's just the princess and me!"

"That't right! It's going to be fun anyway, right Leaf?"

"With you? Definitely!" We both giggle. Our parents exchange greetings and exasperated looks before engaging in small talk.

A second limo arrives, but this one is a light shade of ponk. Ah, must be Dawn. I see a glimse of her midnight blue hair before I hear May's shrill voice ringing in my ear beside me. Dawn waves frantically at us, beaming. She too hurries over and embraces us.

"I couldn't wait to see you guys! It's been way to long girls! I brought some outfits for you guys to try out. Ahhh, we'll be models!" She squeals again and squeezes tighter. We hug her back.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Berlitz!" May and I say in unison.

"Hello girls. It's a pleasure to see you two again." We smile and curtsy as they join the adult conversation.

"Dawn, did you see the others along the way?" I ask.

"Yup! Misty's right behind me!" As if on cue, Misty's very own dark blue Porsche rolls up the drivewau, her father in the passenger seat and her mother in the back. She parks the vehicle perfectly next to Dawn's ride and smiles when she sees us.

"Leaf, May, Dawn, so good to see you!" We hug the red-haired girl. The King and Queen of Fontaine nod at us in acknowledgment while we smile back.

"Aria, Alex, and the boys should be coming soon." Misty says.

"Lily is also coming, right?" May says. Lily? That sounds familiar...Oh! Gary's self-proclaimed fiance!

"Apparently, she's obsessed with Gary."

"How do you know Leaf? Jealous?"

"No! I just know from personal experience..."

"Well she's actually pretty nice if you get to know her. Maybe she just didn't make a very good first impression Leaf." Misty muses.

"Or it could be she hates my guts because I'm engaged to her idol. It's not that I'm opposed to her or anything, I do want to get along. But Gary's in the way!"

"Yeah, about that. You've got to tell us all the juicy details Leaf!" Dawn shoves her face in front of mine.

"What details?"

"Come one! You know, epic proposals, extravagant gifts, sweet talk, I could go on and on if you want me to."

Well, the engagement was sudden so no proposal. He's a huge flirt whose pick-up lines aren't even worth mentioning. And no gifts. Happy?"

"You're underming me. I'm planning something for you Leafy. I'm not that bad~" I feel a hot breath against my neck. I jump and my heart almost pops out of my chest.

"You son of a – Gary! Don't do that! You scared me half to death! And you guys! You should have warned me!" Misty and Dawn give me sheepish looks while May grins.

"And you said nothing happened!" May shoots me a smug look. Misty tries to stop laughing, efforts wasted of course, but at least she tried. Dawn has a knowing look in her eyes.

"What with that stupid look airhead?" Andrew Hayden, May's favorite person...

"Who're you calling airhead, you grasshead!"

"You, or are you to dumb to realize that?" It's my turn to smirk when she's fuming. She walked herself into that one.

"Hi Drew. I've heard a lot about you since the last time we all got together."

"I bet this one has told you a bunch of lies."

"Did not! It's all true!" She pouts as Drew rolls his eyes.

"I'm sure." I glance at my brunette friend, a smile playing on my lips.

"MISTY!" A raven-haired male yells. Must be Ashton Firecross. Misty was the first one to marry despite the fact she's only a year older than the rest of us. Then again, she was always the most mature.

The pulled out her mallet and promptly bopped him on the head leaving him wailing.

"Ash, calm down...Everyone meet my...new husband." She says in an annoyed manner and Ash looks proud. He greets us all loudly and emerges himself in conversation.

I spot a mop of lavender-colored hair. Paul Vermillion of Yaksha. Dawn's childhood friend. It seems she noticed to and makes a bee line to him, practically jumping the quiet male. He mumbles something incorherent while she drags him to our group. She's the only one that can get him to do something.

"Paul, say hi!"

"Hi..."

"Really? Can't you put some enthusiasm into it?"

"No, troublesome."

The four guys exchange looks that say 'women...' Now, we're just missing a few others. The once small gathering has turned into a full-blown social meeting.
