Thank you to all who have stuck with me for this long and have waited for this chapter!

I'm truly sorry for the long wait!

Nothing too special about this chapter but it's better than nothing!

Enjoy! :)

To tell you the truth I wasn't completely sure as to why I was there.

My presence evidently wasn't welcomed, their yellow, glowing eyes would glaze at me with fury. The fact that a human was sitting next to their lord was astonishing, for not even the highest ranking bad blood was allowed the luxury of seating next to him, to be personally knowledged by him.

Each time I took a breath, a hunter would eye me, wishing it would be the last one I took.

When Berserker looked down at the wide table or at any time when his cherished attention wasn't directed towards me, his reckless hunters' mandibles would flick outward at me with rage. The thick, built up of saliva would drip from the sharp ends of their inner teeth, like a panting dog's.

The one that stood out the most was the hunter wearing the leather necklace with small bones circling it. He was walking slowly around the grand room with a plate of liquor and pink meat, awaiting a signal by his fellow companions to call him over to give them what they wanted.

He wasn't as big as the others, compared to Berserker, he looked like a weak child.

He watched me like a predator, purposely bumping into my seat from time to time, he even attempted to drop the hot bowl of soup on my lap when he handed it to me.

My lips quivered.

Resting back against the tall back of the seat, I tried relaxing, I had nothing to worry about. Yet, my heart wouldn't stop beating, the painful throbbing vibrated my chest and deafened my ears. The endless sound of clicking roamed the dense air as they viciously spoke their language. One of them even particularly watched me as he spoke, showing me how different I truly was, I wasn't one of them and they weren't gonna hesitant to acknowledge it.

Berserker's body shook as he roared a masculine laugh at one of the hunter's mysterious comment.

Looking down at my lap, my tense hands rested on my thighs. My thumbs brushed against each other, trying to distract myself from their glances, their disgrace against me, their burning hatred.

I felt like a child. I knew I couldn't say anything back without a consequence, I couldn't defend myself the way I knew I could if I was against a human.

Blinking rapidly, I looked at the row of polished knives that was placed by each plate of the hunter's; the meat got tough at times and a knife was needed to the job some of their mandibles couldn't.

In the corner of my eye I saw Berserker's chair turn slightly, aiming at my direction.

Keeping my head down, I tried ignoring him, but those red eyes of his were suffocating, the very thought of them made my chest harshly clench. I couldn't help the overwhelming urge to look up, to lock eyes with the eyes of hell.

Clawing at my thighs with my nails, I whipped my head, his eyes knocked the wind out of me, my hands turned to white fists. His petrifying facial features were enough to made someone weak at heart drop dead.

As he stared at me, the rest of the bad bloods continued on talking. Despite the fact that he was watching me, I knew Berserker was listening closely in on their conversations as well.

I quickly lowered my head to look at his chest, the red and black scales distracted me, compelling me not to look back at him.

"Your heart," Berserker mumbled deeply, causing some to look at him, questioning why he willingly spoke the English language, "you're scared."

I swiftly bit down on the back of my jaw, hard.

After listening to his statement, my heart betrayed me, beating harder.

"You sound surprised." I whispered.

I wanted nothing more than to be quiet. I didn't want the others to hear me, I wanted to be treated as if I was non-existed.

Berserker watched as I carefully looked to the side of me, watching the hunter with the leather necklace, he seemed to drag his feet as he walked pridefully.

Titling his head with amusement, Berserker tapped the top of the alien sized cup with his talons, causing a sharp tapping sound to echo, "Who?"

Raising a brow, I looked back at him with confusion, "What do you mean who?"

"What I mean is, princess," he leaned back comfortably, chuckling, "who's the one making your heart beat like that, you're body is acting as if you've seen a ghost."

I shook my head, "I'm fine."

My heart felt like it had skipped a beat, my forehead felt warm as the build up of moister threatened to sweat down my face.

I witnessed Berserker look up ahead of him, his ruby eyes scanning everything around him; his chin lifted as he gave a graceful nod to someone.

Paying it no mind, I exhaled, wishing I was anywhere but there.

The odd hunter with the leather necklace began walking my direction, it made me shift noticeably around my chair.

Berserker darkly smiled.

Berserker patiently waited till the hunter leaned down happily, planting his available hand down on the table, resting his balance. The nameless bad blood looked excited, wanting nothing more than to please his master. My hand had fallen back on my thighs, my heart picked up, I was convinced it could be heard from a mile away.

"You seem to have frightened her." Berserker spoke out loud in English, causing a wave of confusion to sweep the listening hunters, including the one wearing the leather necklace.

Without warning, Berserker grabbed the gloomy knife, jamming it right into the hunter's vulnerable hand.

I let out a scream as the hunter roared a throat ripping roar, the tray dropped with a crack, making the rich smelling liquor to flood the floor. He cupped his injured hand with the other, crying out in pain.

Jumping from the chair, I tripped on my own two feet, shaking from the aggressive sound. The bright green blood wasted no time in staining the table, thee entire knife had vanished into his flesh.

Sipping the remainder of alcohol, Berserker rolled his shoulders as the toxic liquid swam down to his stomach. He looked over his shoulder at me, with a smirk, "Leave."

The bad bloods around us looked shockingly claim, as if they weren't horridly alarmed by such an unexpected act by the bad blood lord, some even causally went back to finishing their rudely interrupted conversations.

Rising to my feet, I parted my lips as the hunter was now on his knees, right beside Berserker.

Suddenly, the smirking on his mouth was replaced with a warning, "Leave before I caused that heart of yours to burst from fright."

And with that I ran. Ran till my heart pounded like a machine gun, I ran till I could no longer hear the sound of the merciful cry coming from the bad blood.
