Chapter 12: An Aquatic Revelation (Part 2)

"Zeke! Get up!" Renji yelled.

"He lost, Renji." Rukia said sadly. She was about to disappear, but a chuckle stopped her.

"Come on, Rukia. You don't believe in me anymore." Rukia looked for the source of those words and was surprised. Zeke got up and his Life Points were shown: the same before the attack; 1500. That shocked the Siren and infuriated her.

"Y-you survived!?"

"Y-yes. I used Kuriboh's effect to stop all the damage I would have took from Levia."

"You can only activate its effect by discarding it! You had no cards in your hand."

Zeke smiled and answered the question, though it wasn't a question by grabbing a card from his graveyard and showing it to the Siren.

"This is Dummy Marker. When destroyed while set, I can draw 1 card. And I drew Kuriboh and discarded it to stop all damage."

"Grrr….you were just lucky. But that'll change. I end my turn."

"Why did you do that!? That scared us!" Rukia yelled.

"Sorry," Zeke said.

"I shouldn't have done that. But I'm in trouble and I need your guys' help."

"Of course we'll help!" Renji said with a smile.

"Thanks, you guys." Zeke drew a card and instantly activated it.

"I use Card of Demise. This lets me draw until I have 5 cards in my hand." Zeke drew 5 cards and studied them.

"Okay. Siren, you ready to go to the Soul Society?"

"What? The Soul Society? What are you talking about?"

He couldn't mean-!

"Here, I'll just show you."

Zeke's Field Spell Zone compartment opened and he played a card. Suddenly, everything started shaking and thousands of buildings started emerging from the ground. A wall emerged with different areas within emerging afterwards. Within the wall in the center of the city, known as the Rukongai, a forest-like area, a Japanese castle, or a shiro, also known as the Senzaikyū linked to a hill, known as Sōkyoku Hill. The siren and Zeke stood atop the hill. The Siren looked all around in shock.

"Is this the Soul Society?"

My God…The homeland of the damned Shinigami… Soul Society!

She hissed at the sight.

"Yep. And it has many abilities. First, I can Special Summon any Soul Reaper I want. And I choose Kaien Shiba. Appear, buddy!" From within the Rukongai, a youthful-looking and fairly tall man with aqua green eyes and spiky raven black hair jumped onto the hill. He wore a normal uniform with his lieutenant badge on his left arm as customary. He had a tattoo crest, of his family, the Shiba family, on his arm. (ATK: 2100/DEF: 1700)

"I hate to break it to you, but he does not have enough ATK to defeat my beast."

"I know, but I know how to fix that. So, I equip him with his Zanpakuto, Nejibana, to him." An average katana with a rectangular cross guard, smooth rounded edges and a dark blue hilt appeared and Kaien grabbed it.

"Now this sword doesn't increase Kaien's ATK, but it does give him some awesome abilities. But first, I have to unlock them with Shikai Release!" Zeke played a card and Kaien yelled out, "Rankle the Seas and Heavens…Nejibana!" Kaien held Nejibana upside down and began to twirl it in his hands as it glowed, transforming it into a cross between a trident, a bishamon-yari, a Japanese spear, and a ji , a Chinese halberd, with a crystalline appearance. Like the ji, it bared a horsehair tassel, although it was blue instead of the traditional red; similarly the two side blades were straight with concave edges as opposed to the usual crescent blades of the bishamon yari. The end of Nejibana turned into a corkscrew/drill shape. Water flowed freely from both the trident and the end.

"I'll activate Nejibana's ability. I can return every card on the field to their owners' hands. That, of course, excludes Kaien and Nejibana themselves." The Siren stared in shock as Kaien Shiba ran up to only Levia and struck it, causing a wave to appear and wash it away, back into the Siren's hand. Only Kaien, Nejibana and the Soul Society remained, much to the Siren's shock.

"Wait! Soul Society wasn't destroyed! You said every other card!"

"That's true, but Soul Society cannot be affected and destroyed by my Soul Reapers."

"What!? Grrr…fine! I'll just destroy it myself!"

"I hope you try! But since your field is empty, Kaien, attack the Siren of Sacrifice!" Kaien ran up to the siren and stabbed her.

"Agrhh!"

Tier...I will not lose for your sake! She vowed internally.

Zeke: 1500

Siren: 1000

"I set 1 card and end my turn." A card appeared. Angered, the Siren drew a card.

"I activate Card of Sanctity. We both draw until we have 6 cards in our hands."

"You're giving me free cards? Thanks."

"Draw as many cards as you want; you'll need them."

The Siren drew 6 cards while Zeke drew 5. The Siren then laughed.

"Ha ha ha ha ha! This battle is over!"

She began to chant.

"O Maiden of Sacrifice, answer my call, and cut through those who would oppose us! Descend to the battlefield, and assist me, your partner! Appear now, my partner, Tier Harribel, Tercera Espada (LV 3)! in Attack Position." A woman with dark skin, green eyes, blonde eyelashes, and messy short blonde hair with three braided locks appeared. She wore a variation of the Arrancar jacket with a high collar, which covered the lower part of her face downward, while baring a good portion of the lower half of her large breasts. The jacket had a zipper running along its entire length, which is opened from the bottom upwards. The jacket's sleeves completely enveloped her arms, terminating in black glove-like extensions at her extremities, resembling the appearance of a cat's paw. (ATK: 2000/DEF: 1500)

"Whoa! An Espada! She has 2000 ATK!?" Suddenly, the spirit of Toshiro appeared, with a determined look on his face.

"Tier Harribel…She's back…" He murmured. He remembered his battle against Tier.
