Chapter 12: Two matters

Her bright smile stayed intact as her deep blue eyes looked into Tsuna's brown ones, "It is good to see you. Even if it is a borrowed form made up of flames."

She can see me?!

The brunet stared dumbly at the lady, trying to recognize her. She looked a lot like Yuni. But the mark under her eye was on the other side, compared to Yuni and Aria. I always thought the tattoo had to be on their left cheek…Could she be the current boss of Giglio Nero Family?

Giotto looked from Tsuna's direction back at the door. He stepped to the side of the door, "Please come in, urm…"

"My name is Sepira, and thank you."

Sepira walked in and took the couch to her left, carefully adjusting her dress before taking a seat. Giotto, joined by Tsuna sat opposite of her.

"I believe that you have heard of me from Checkerface, Tsunayoshi-kun?" Her voice was clear and smooth. However to Giotto, her question sounded unsure.

Checkerface? From him? …Sepira?

Tsuna looked up at the lady. Sepira was looking at him, expression stoic. But she looked uptight, and it was making Tsuna tense. Sepira… Where have I heard of that name before…? Sepira… Sepi…ra… Ah! The urm, other species, she was the one who wanted to coexist with humans!

The brunet nodded.

Sepira took a deep breath and exhaled, features lightened, "I see. I see. The curse was lifted. That's good." She smiled brightly," That is very good."

Giotto looked at the exchange with amuse. Not that he liked to be kept in the dark, but if she wanted to tell him, she would have. If it was meant to be something he wasn't to know, she could have just called the boy to talk to him, alone.

This lady knew Tsunayoshi. His name. She knew where to find the boy. She knew him? How are they related? Flames… What is this curse they're talking about? Who is she? What is the purpose of her visit?

"Today… I came with two matters in hand." The two looked at Sepira.

"One is the reason why you are here. There is someone you have to stop no matter what." She took a deep breath, eyes locking onto Tsuna's.

"You see Tsunayoshi-kun, I felt like I knew this person, personally. This person felt nostalgic and familiar. But I am forgetting about him. Even his existence. It really worries me. It was a few days ago where my visions had gotten a bad turn. Yesterday…I had another vision. My future self had seen the exact future I seen a few days ago.

In the far far future, where it has been…" Sepira looked down, not realizing her fingers had started to tremble. They waited anxiously for her to continue.

"Destroyed. Many of the futures have been destroyed… someone stood beside Byakuran. The person, I knew the person. But… the future me did not know who he or she was. At all. My future self woke up, panicked and flustered saying that she have never seen someone else other than Byakuran."

Sepira paused for a moment before continuing, looking up at Tsuna. "I apologise but I cannot provide you with a name nor a face. The person's existance… which I can only barely remember… Who knows? Maybe I wouldn't remember this person ever existed tomorrow… The only thing I can tell you is that this person have changed your life when he or she appeared."

Appeared…? Both Tsuna and Giotto pondered.

"I believe this person might have some kind of ability. The future have changed greatly. So has Byakuran… I feel that something or someone has triggered a change in him. I find it bizarre that most of his future self have changed so drastically even with that power of his. I have learnt to accept humans from different alternate worlds as different beings. Environment, friends, experience, happenings, they shape how a person will become. No people of two worlds will ever be the same. Personality or mindset."

True… I never would have thought the current Byakuran is the same as the one we fought in the future…

"Have his defeat changed him for the better?"

Tsuna nodded vigorously. Byakuran's different. He helped Yamamoto-kun and there is the representative battle… then again… maybe it was the fight that changed him? No matter what, Tsuna decided he liked the current Byakuran.

Sepira's lips pulled into a small smile, "I can only hope that he would discover something about the strange situation he was in. Either ways, it is good to have an ally."

"The second thing…" Sepira removed her hat and placed it on her lap, silky hair falling out from her hat, neatly on her back. An orange short ribbon held most of her shoulder-length fringe back. Her fingers traced delicately at the side of the hat, then she pulled at the zipper, bringing out a familiar box out from the hidden compartment.

"After meeting you, my doubts were cleared. These are the Vongola rings and I would like you to keep them, Giotto." Sepira placed them on the table.

Eh? The confusion was visible on the blonde's face. On the other hand, Tsuna was shocked at the sudden turn of events.

"The Vongola rings are a part of the Tri-ni-set, it serves as a device that guides the growth and development of life on Earth, while maintaining the balance of its life force. It is the foundation of the world. My kind… with only the two of us, we cannot sustain the Tri-ni-set. And thus we need you humans to sustain it for us."

Sepira looked at Giotto, expecting response. But when Giotto tilted his head and offered Sepira to continue, the lady hugged her hat and chuckled.

"S-Sorry…" Sepira suppressed her laughter, "I expected some form of protest claiming I am not in the right mind, that I am being ridiculous. You, alike Tsunayoshi never fails to amaze me."

"Haha, with this intuition I have, I have long ago accepted that anything could happen. Especially with this boy's appearance."

"Here," Sepira picked up the box and leaned towards the blonde. Giotto sat forward hesitantly, but Sepira pushed the box to his right hand. The latter took the box but looked at Sepira, not knowing what to say. He decided to wait for her to continue.

Sepira smiled. "One of the reason is that these rings have to get to the hands of Tsunayoshi-kun, which is your descendent. I have seen a few futures of Tsunayoshi-kun not inheriting the title of Vongola Decimo, they were all…

The other reason being, Giotto, you must be the one who create Vongola. Without Vongola, there are many things in the future that cannot be stopped by the bosses. The reason Vongola could be so strong was because of you. And in the other world where the rings were given to humans other than you, the rings either went into the wrong hands or were destroyed, along with the world."

"Above everything, I believe in my eyes." Sepira smiled widely at the blonde.

"I believe that when I pass you these rings, I have made a right decision. This…" She looked at the rings, "Shall be a power you need for your family, for a brighter future."

Giotto looked down at the black box in his hands, fingers moving to look at the golden intricate symbol on the box. It was just a simple clam in the middle, curls of waves at the four corners. He turned to Tsuna worriedly, surprised at the sudden change in his emotion.

"I… know what you are worried of, Tsunayoshi-kun. However the sky have always been vast enough to take in all. The good. And the bad. There are times when you bring one in, it shall be one less worry to you. I believe that human nature is by all means not evil. They just need a chance.

I agree when he said you are too kind of a child to be in this world. I have seen the future version of yourself come up with that brilliant plan. I have seen your battles, your reluctance, your resolve, your tears, your smiles. Along with your family. It feels really warm. Like a real family.

I believe that you can reshape Vongola into what Primo had wanted it to be. Mafia or not. Vigilante or not. It was a power to protect that was sought.

There is no good or evil to power. Please… do remember this, Tsunayoshi-kun."

Sepira smiled at the brunet as she adjusted the hat back on her head. Realizing she was standing to leave, Giotto stood up quickly, successfully hiding the short burst of pain in his shoulder.

The blonde didn't know what to think, mind spinning with all the new information. He brought the box up, "T-This."

"This is yours to keep Giotto. I must leave now, before the two come back." Sepira smiled and tilted her head to express her gratitude, all three rushing to the door.

"It have been nice to talk to you two, a lot is off my chest. We will meet again." She said to Giotto.

"Oh! And Tsunayoshi-kun, the one who sent you here was the future Primo." Nothing change on her face, but her eyes betrayed her. Sepira's smile seemed to turn into a sad one. "He could have sent you back to this day, but he sent you a few days back. You do know why?"

Sepira waved and quickly went down the stairs. Seconds after Sepira left, G and Asari appeared. The two men sprinted up the stairs and started to interrogate what he was standing at the door for.

"Did they come back?" Asari asked worriedly, eyes scanning him for new wounds as he looked around for anyone who dared to appear in front of the swordsman.

"Wounds! WOUNDS! SHOW ME YOUR WOUNDS!" G started to strip Giotto at the corridor.

"Wait! Wait! I'm fine! I just! WAIT!" Giotto started to retreat back into the room, pushing the door so they would be forced to come in. "I just thought you guys were coming back and so I— STOP IT G!"

The blonde was too preoccupied to notice a certain presence was no longer around.

Tsuna's eyes blinked drowsily as he shifted. The sound of the shifting of the cover sheets echoed all around him, making his ears uncomfortable. His sight was a blur, white everywhere. He turned, trying to find something that wasn't white.

"Sleep Dame-Tsuna."

Re…born? Even my ears aren't working properly… his voice sounds deeper…

Reborn looked at the brunet for the next ten minutes, taking in sight of the rise and fall of the brunet's chest and the fogging of the breathing tube. He hopped next to Tsuna and pulled the blanket to cover more of his shoulder and neck.

"Welcome back Tsuna."

At the rooftop of a building near the hospital sat Giotto. He was leaning on the wall. His left leg stretched while the other propped up, right arm on his right leg. He looked at the pulled curtains to Tsuna's room, a small lingering smile on his face.

I can only give you a push, the rest is up to you, Tsunayoshi-kun.

The blonde looked up at the quarter moon.

A/N: Well well well... we're finally here, he's finally back, boy am I lazy to continue with all the plot still not sorted out. Either ways, thanks for all the reviews, favs, follows. Hehe, to those who guess she was Luce, you guys were close, didn't think I'll bring in Sepira did ya?

I'm not sure if I mentioned it but this whole fic started with the simple lines of Giotto's 'I have been waiting for you', from the Vongola Trial. I had wanted it to be somewhere along the idea of Primo not knowing the name of Tsuna and thus called him Vongola Decimo but well this works...right?

On Sepira's side, here, I am making that she can't see the current Tsuna's timeline. Thus the question of whether Byakuran changed for the better. The question on whether he heard her name from Checkerface also meant to be a doublecheck. She was counting on the faith that Checkerface would tell Tsuna about everything including her when the curse was broken. The thought that Bermuda did not know of the story probably meant Checkerface was not a talkative person, he might only say if he found an alternative way to sustain the force.

The push that Primo was saying... is more towards the upcoming chapters.

Lastly...? The part on Sepira looking sad after saying it was Primo from the future who sent Tsuna here... I'll see if I'll ever write a omake chapter on it:x

I'm twisting a lot of stuff here aren't I?
